Will the figures be attractive? American toy-makers these days are very resistant against making attractive female figures.
>>
>>11602397
It seems like Mattel will be making the figures and Hasbro is making roleplay stuff. So I guess it's up in the air. I don't collect it but it seems like Mattel does the MOTU females pretty decent justice and Barbies are fine.
>>
Why do they have midriffs but no bellybuttons
>>
>>11602182
I love the movie, but i dont think ill buy their toys. I don't buy things just because of that
>>
>>11602529
i don't care about any of this, but hasbro's fortnite females were great and would've been a good sign for these.
>>
>>11602543
I think it’s that style where girls have high-rise bottoms pulled up over their belly buttons.
>>
So Hasbro makes more MtG expansions and Mattel does everything else?

>Mattel will develop a full range of product across categories including dolls, action figures, accessories, collectibles, playsets, co-branded collaborations and more, starting in 2026 globally. A special first-look from Mattel Creations will be on offer starting Nov. 12 and include a three-pack of HUNTR/X dolls.

>Hasbro will create products in categories such as plush, youth electronics and role play, as well as leveraging its existing IP for cross-collaborations. Expect cross-over with Hasbro Games (Monopoly), Wizards of the Coast, Nerf and Furby. The Monopoly game is available now for pre-order at Amazon, Target and Walmart.

.....Furby?

I agree. But also I laugh because this is once again these major toy companies striking the iron way too late. This movie's hype will be dead by the time any of this shit hits the shelves.

Netflix needs to announce a sequel.

Then again, the sing along version is coming back to theaters for Halloween, we'll see how that does.

Yes

Funny how Americans can't sell toys while a movie is currently popular and need years to make anything
>>
>>11602800
Ehh, Frozen was pretty popular years later, but they also had merch and toys ready to go when the movie launched
>>
>>11602922
>eh Disney already had product lined up for what they expected to be a good seller come Christmas time
no shit
>>
>>11602800
I 100% think that this is one of those things that Netflix didn't see coming.

The popularity for this movie was astounding. Broke all kinds of records, even the music is still in the top of the charts (and even beating out new releases from Taylor fucking Swift)

Its a little bit of the Grogu problem where its clear the marketing team didn't think it'd take off and then it does and they're scrambling to get whatever merch they can out and working on more stuff later (although Grogu's problem was a little bit of Favreau cucking Disney with merch)

The difference between this and the Grogu problem was that at least Grogu was coming back within a year. So even if product wasn't going to be on shelves for a while, it wouldn't be a ton of time before there was another surge in his popularity so there was time for both things to sync up. It's going to be more than a year for these toys to come out and then another 3 before the next KPDH movie releases.

Seems like the cleaners missed a few posts.

This is why toy companies are dying. They're all too afraid to take risks anymore. KPop Demon Hunters is highly toyetic, and Mattel should have at least had some basic Barbies on the market for the Xmas season. In a year KPDH will have lost most of it's relevancy, which is probably why this is Mattel Creations. Mattel knows that with no new media, fickle kids will have moved on by then. This is a colossal blown opportunity. KPDH were the top selling Halloween costumes this year, becoming impossible for parents to find.

really mattel!?

Anon, the story goes that Sony didn’t have any confidence in Kpop Demon Hunters to release it as a film and sold it off to Netflix and made a deal for only $20m max in any profits made off the movie. They had zero idea it was going to be as big of a smash hit as it was, so they’re trying to rush out merchandise as fast as possible to try and capitalize while the irons still hot. And on the topic of no new movies, Netflix is working overtime to try and get some kind of sequel out. They aren’t going to let potential hundreds of millions of dollars slip away that easily.
