What have you bought recently?Preorders?Upcoming releases?Thinking about grabbing Luke but not sure if I should wait for the Revo. Both of them have one face or another that feels wonky, and I think I like the effect parts more on the revoltech too.
Joytoy doing KOF which is nice since it seems like no one else is at the moment.
I wonder if the SHF Tekken 8 line will get to Yoshimitsu? Him and King are all I wanted out of it.
>>11605453Unfortunately, I suspect we're not getting anymore Figuarts. Something tells me that the Tekken fanbase doesn't have as many toy collectors as Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat.
>>11605409Tunshi is making 1/12 scale KOF line too, Some characters are in 1/6, but it seems like they are going 1/12 from now only. Their figs are nice and really accurate to the source, but they are quite pricey and releases are painfully slow.
>>11605616
Fondjoy is also making 1/12 KOF figures
>KOF which is nice since it seems like no one else is at the moment. Is Storm Arena a joke to you?
In general SNK is giving their KOF licence like candy, to everyone. Personally would like to see Fatal Fury 3 and more Metal Slug with vehicle focus.
>>11605400why doesnt tekken have many figures even though it's the biggest fighting game in video game history
>>11605453eh i got the jin but was disappointed it was the Tekken 3 look. Reckon if they did some more familiar looks instead of the new costumes that basically look like alt colours they would sell better and have more incentive for more
Official pics of Storm Arena Kyohttps://www.stormco.com.hk/collections/figure-stand/products/kyo-kusanagi-the-king-of-fighter-s-98um-strom-arena
>>11605400Mainly just Jada stuff, SC are nice and I got Dan on preorder I'm simply just going complete on their SF2 line, but will probably grab Morrigan from Storm Arena, looking forward to getting Claw and Boxer soon
I got an SHF Chunners and she's currently sitting sealed on my shelf.
Not really a fighting game, but since this is the closest thing to a storm thread. Anyone else get Yujiro?
JoyToy Goro is pretty hefty considering the scale. The jacket look is my favorite so far.
>>11606927Im looking forward to hanayama, jack and oliver even more now.
I sanded the shoulders down and applied shock oil yesterday and she appears to work, though the fit is not as nice as an actual, well done factory fit.
>>11606927Sure did. He's raping Ryu as we speak. Arena is probably my favorite line right now. Plan on buying everything they've shown so far.
>>11606435Morrigan will be out of scale with the others you know
>>11608419I'm talking about the Storm Arena one, not the Storm Collectibles one, SA is their actual 1/12 scale line and not whatever scale SC is
>>11606438SHF Chun li was really good. I bought her on release with ryu and r.mika. I think Ryu is the weakest of the figures and replaced him with the Storm Arena alpha ryu. Chun li still holds up though and i dont think any of the companies offering Chuns right now are making better figures. You should unbox her, shes fun to mess around with.>>11606927I've got him. He's fun as fuck but theres a paint qc issue on my left bicep. Doesn't bother me that much cause he's fun as shit to move around and pose. I hope the baki line goes on long enough to get Kasumi and Retsu.>>11608603Storm has got to find someone who can sculpt girl figures man these look like ass.
>>11608194Nice. I've seen some people complain about them being too small, but the scale is perfect 1/12 to their official heights. They were never particularly large characters. It's crazy how the SC line took over 3 years just to get a 3rd fighter, whilst SA is at 3 in 6 months and 2 more announced.>>11608628Sucks about your Yujiro. At least they are cheap. Since I skipped SC Doppo i'm hoping he's coming next. The more the merrier.
>>11608628Their Chun Li looks crap too so far. The male characters have cool and awesome physiques but she's just plain. The difference between Zangief here, and her is crazy.
>>11609364honestly some of it is just their articulation cuts. leotards and spandex look like SHIT with all these cuts; its tough since they're fighting game characters who need to articulate but thinngs like those thigh cuts and the diaper are just extremely sculpt breaking.they've definitely come a long way with the head sculpts at least, lilith's is actually pretty cute, more than I can say for any other females they've made
>>11606927Thats very clever but I cant stop thinking about PPG's stubby hands when I saw those lol. Fitting for the strongest creature I suppose.
I don't understand the benefit of making fighting game characters in a world building/vehicle scale like 1/18th. Is there any?
>>11609965
>>11605400Why did they fucking stop, goddammit?
>>11610099same reason why any figure line stops: sales
>finally got a Ryuji Yamazaki figure>it's 1/18Fucking hell
>>11608114this picture is awshum
Hes so much fun.>>11610248Don't worry. Im sure we'll get a storm arena.
>>11609965Small figures are neat.
>>11610205I preordered Taki for nothing then. Still like her though
Very nice, I hope they move into the other sags though. The characters I want are from NESTS or XIV
>>11605409>>11611129I'm impressed how fast JoyToy makes their stuff. Wish shit I collect was made in such a pace.I'm considering getting into Tunshi's KOF.
>See new announcement>Interested, might pick up>Price revealed to be an outrageous $50 for 1/18 scale>Turn 360 degrees, then turn 180 degrees, then walk away
>>11611228>BBTSHere's Gundamit:
>>11611228Welcome to 2025 dude
>>11611338None of those are 1/18th>>11611231Only company that has reasonable prices is HQed in ChinaMakes sense. Cut out the middle man.
i really wish storm would do soul calibur 1 in their arena line. and DOA2/3.
>>11611228>>11611231>>11611341You can also buy them straight from Joytoy themselveshttps://www.joytoy.com/collections/snk
>>11605400>>11606435I'm on the fence about Jada's Akuma. I missed the boat for the Figuarts but I coped with it with the fact that it didn't have the symbol on his back. Now Jada does, and the price is a lot more manageable, so here we are
>>11605409>>11605616>>11611157where do you guys get joytoy, tunshi and storm collecitbles outside the us?are there chinese sellers or shops on temu or aliexpress?
>>11611490amazon, local online stores
>>11611490I think Gundamit is the most popular Chinese store, and there are other standalone stores and on temu/aliexpress, some specialize in some scale (like LTCave for 1/18...), soft goods, etc. They typically ship the stuff in a way that you don't pay additional customs fees (as a Euro anon). You may also find local stores if that makes you feel safer, but they are a bit more expensive.
>>11611490>>11611490I order all current releases from Gundamit. Their shipping to EU is free, in some cases it even makes my order cheaper by a buck or two.If something is sold out there, I just order it from random toy stores on Aliexpress. Their customer protection works really good and returns are free. If there are some obvious QC issues I can't fix myself, I just send the product back. Sadly, it just happened to me with Gru from Gong Studio/Popart. Got 2 same head sculpts. Factory defect not the sellers fault. No issue with returning whatsoever.
>>116081145K still hasnt shipped mine
>>11605616>>11605947>>11606311I don't care who does it one of these bastards needs to make a 1/12 K' and Kula for the love of god
>>11611933and Angel
>>11611933>>11612023Agreed
Anyone here has pics or videos of a storm arena or storm collectible figure getting dismantled?
>>11612037I still can't believe that Storm did Nameless. I hope they also make an Arena version soon
>>11612117I got a Storm Motaro that did a pretty good job of disassembling itself. Came with a broken foot. Tried to change head and the whole neck peg came out. Then his rubber chest part wasn't anchored to anything so it kinda sloughed off like a loose tshirt. All around a nightmare. BBTS sent me a new one though and he was fine.
>>11612480>BBTS sent me a new one though and he was fine.So its not Storm themselves who gives out replacement but BBTS? I'm worried that buying on Ali will have no after sales service. Specially if I'm going to buy an old storm figure.
>>11613108Yeah, I only dealt with BBTS, not Storm directly. Out of 5 SC figures I bought, I only had any issues with that one, so it may just have been bad luck.
>>11605616>>11605619Ah fuck it, ordered Terry from Ali, will post some pics when I get him.
>>11615506The Tunshi Terry looks amazing. Even the soft goods which IMO a lot of times looks badly tailored on 1/12 figures.
>>11618476Iori also looks marvelous, so I ordered him too. I'm starting be a Tunshi shill lol. I really like their stuff, yeah they have some problems (cough cough ankles) but they nail the looks so well.
I put too much shock oil in Heihachi legs and now he's all loose. Maybe I should sell him...
>>11619841You can try to make them tighter with a fine layer of nail polish or putting a tiny drop of superglue in the joint and so it doesnt get stuck while it fill the gaps. Also which heihachi figure is that?
>>11620007I didn't try the super glue method, I'm going to try it. Also it's Storm collectibles
>>11620077Here a few more pics for you
>>11620078
>>11620078Pretty cool, before doing anything with glue i'd recommend looking up videos of people doing that method just to be safe.
>>11608603oh, well i'll probably get those too then. I only ever bought their Mortal Kombat figures and they're fuck huge, I'll probably get rid of them soon. Even the shotas.
>still no alpha 3 karin figure>only karin statue goes for $400+
>>11621327Cammy's killer bee design is one of my favorite designs ever so when I saw Storm Arena announce they're making a figure of her I damn near shat myself.
>>11622972To bad Storm sculptors are gay, they can sculpt great muscular male bodies without any problem, but can't do females as they have no idea what makes them attractive. I haven't seen a good female face from Storm yet.
>>11624193Yea, I was doing some comparisons to the third party Alpha Chun (Quinn Lee) and SA Ryu and it made me look closer at the SA Chun Li prototype and they gave her giant shoes to match the male characters' giant feet. Their figure isn't close to done yet, but I'm not sure how it will turn out. BTW, the Quinn Lee scales just fine with SA Ryu. I was mostly wondering on head size because Ryu's head is tiny compared to the body but they match. Ryu has the big arms and feet, Quinn Lee has the big hips/butt/thigh. >>11608114Storm Collectibles Chun Li had giant hips and thighs too though, I still have some hopecope
>>11624446
mr lee just released a vid of sagat does that mean he will get a release soon?
>>11624784Yes. He also posted a story a few days ago saying as much.
>>11624789Thanks.
Got my Terry, looks really good, almost like a statue, the squeaking while posing sounds quite scary. Should get Iori on Monday.
>>11624193>I haven't seen a good female face from Storm yetehh Juri is quite ok but she's an anomaly
>>11627122I'm ok with Juri
>>11627315Yeah her face isn't bad at all. Wanted to comment on her big feet, but I checked the source material and she is exaggerated like that in the game so no complains here. >>11625085Got Iori. He's what Terry supposed to be, an high-end figure that is nice to handle. Sadly, my Terry will end on 1/12 scale wheelchair soon. His legs are so stiff I'm pretty sure they will break at the hips. I may need to apply some silicone oil there, but will contact Tunshi's customer service first, to see what they gonna do about it. I don't want to damage the soft goods as I need to untuck his shirt and pull the pants down.
>>11627538While Iori has better working hips and wrist joints, his abdomen articulation is quite limited. One of his buttons fell off right away, that's annoying, I haven't even touched them, gotta figure out the best glue to put it back on.
>>11627541Iori has way better ankles with more range. In general he's a better figure. More accessories and 3 heads, while Terry has only two. But most importantly, he's not about to break.
>>11627551Yikes. Wake me up when jada does their snk line
new articulation video of 52toys chun li. skirt attachement seems to be much better than revo. should be quite easy to replace it with soft goods.
>>11627315It's a real fucking shame they used the censored design from 5.... I just want 4 Juri
>>11628959Wait is that the design from 6? Fuck
>>11628959im so sick of chun li and ryu
>>11627315I need a Juri figure bad, someone with experience with this seller/site please talk me out of ithttps://onesixthkit.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=6555&search=female+fighter
>>11629070They’re doing her classic costume too. The figure looks boring either way.
>>11628821I managed to oil up the joints. Had to untuck the shirt up and pull the pants down. It's doable, but pretty annoying. One needs to be careful to not stain the soft goods. Now Terry can use his legs, joints are not to tight and not to lose, can hold poses perfectly.Sucks I had to do it on a ~100 buck figure, but hey, it works now.
>>11629088feet are too small. would not buy.
>>11629852but it comes with 6 interchangeable feetbut to be honest I want it to be as detailed as possible for the price. Of course if I had fuck you money, I would have bought the Premium Masterline statue for 1.3k. They don't show closeups of the soles but they do for the hands, and that level of detail is amazing, although way out of budget for me
