A thread for the discussion of 1:18 (10 cm/4" tall) figures and their associated vehicles, playsets, accessories etc.
You 1:18 scale connoisseurs are an elevated form of toy collector.
This is the worst OP 1:18 I've seen in a long time. I mean the text not the picture.
Previous thread >>11579869Welcome to the 1:18th general. All 1:18th scale lines are welcome including larger scales that may work with 1:18th. Post pics of your latest purchases, dios, customs and whatever else you feel like posting. We encourage mixing lines. >>11607665Well I didn't see any other faget bothering so I did my best. Why do we need to be told what 1:18 lines there are anyway?
>>11607815Should add World Peacekeepers - affordable vehicles and scenery.
>>11607206How compatible are bossfight/g.i. joe/marauders heads with those girl bodies?
>>11607873Because autism.
>>11607873You'd be surprised how many fully-grown adults still don't understand fractions and ratios, and have no clue what the 1/18 means.
>>11607900Those are Planet Green Valley figures. Bossfight and Boris Ping toys heads are compatible, Marauders not so good, don't know about GI Joe.
PGV bodies with Bossfight heads.
>>11607876Maybe 5 years ago. They're 100$ a vehicle at least and the cool shit (f18 and j10 fighter planes) ain't even available anymore.

Do any of you guys make your own 1:18 buildings or vehicles? I know it's kind of a tall ask considering that most people on this board consoom sloppa rather than create anything themselves, but I'd like to know if any of you guys are working on personal projects of that sort
>>11608711You think you're gonna get any hits with that attitude, buster?
>>11607815Thank you.
!!! BROKEN ARROW !!!
>>11607967sum ugly bitches
>>11610166Excellent shot.
>>11610180They are famously based on the sculptors' IRL wives and gfs.
>>11607967 The Green-haired one can get away with a "haughty" elven look. The other looks potato. I wish Boss Fight would make / sell individual heads in different tones but I also wish that they were "Heroic" in a main character way and not "realistic". It's fantasy damn it. that's what beauty makeup is about.
>>11608006 Their web page has some seriously jacked up prices. I got the big Helo directly from them (and a Jeep and guard tower) but now.. nope. The "burnt out building" pieces were good but on the website everything is AVAILABLE SOON with no prices.
>>11610166Awesome
>>11608711Not right now, I'm more into figure customization and that's hard af as it is for me. I can't imagine doing a playset or vehicle... maybe just like a small piece where to play pretend, like a jungle or rocky terrain, a flat plain for my Legionnaires is what I'm thinking of doing but later.
Wow some great pics in this thread.Contributing some pics of when I took some little out guy with me.

>>11613534Ty, I really enjoyed taking those pics.On that day that poor guy got in all kinds of trouble...
>>11613571I meant to post this pic with that post
>>11613572ah fuck it, might as well post the rest of the bunch.
>>11613578
>>11612028That space capsule looks great, where is it from?
>>11613651 Got it at TRU in Canada.. on sale 8 bucks. It has a crapy and very small astronaut that came with it so I haven't tried seating arrangements. Also, pull the tabe and it does a countdown, blast roar etc. I took these just at sunset so Obama kind of gets a bit shadowed.
The alien crew also likes it.
>>11615500
I bought a 21st Century Toys Huey to go with my 'Nam guys and like the BBi Blackhawk its slightly undersized. Not in a World Peacekeepers kinda way but you'll be lucky to fit 3 dues in there.
>>11618357Yeah, the internal dimensions are off, and the 4" figures dobt make it any better. Plus the bulkhead and bench are too far back.
>>11618539Door doesn't open all the way back which doesn't matter because there's no gunner's seat. Still the most fun i've had in a while.
>>11618357based
>>11619955There's a place doing M23 door gun mounts I've been meaning to pick up for one of mine.
>>11619955This Huey is the UH-1C gunner model, short fuselage. Also I guess it's made for 3.75in figures like modern Vintage starwars or JP figure height not 4in humans. The gunner seat model (UH-1D) was made possible by lengthening the fuselage by about 105cm that comes to about 5.8cm in 1:18 scale which should give you enough space to accommodate a space for a seating gunner besides the main passenger entrance on both sides. You will need to lengthen the doors too. There's a guy on youtube who modded his huey to a more modern version (UH-1Y I think) lengthening with ABS sheets I think, adding larger engine covers and shit not to mention lights.https://youtu.be/kb50KOCqVNM?si=tn9Disyr7PVL9UvUhttps://youtu.be/rYQwuqxzmv0?si=hxz-RoIMTZnjc33j
>>11620506this one for inspiration too in case you want to lenghten the hobby boss/21st century model:it's 1:24 scale but I say the principle is the same.https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235032875-124-uh-1d-huey-conversion-take-me-home-huey/
>>11618357>>11619955>>11620506>>11620523>only 1:18 Huey mold on the market isn't the right model This is the assfuck of the century.
>>11620709I used to wonder why they didn't do a D/H instead of the C model, but now I'm kinda glad they went with gunships. Maybe some 3D guy will do a long body if Marauder makes good on the full wave of figures.
>>11621946Could work as a kit:-provide precise measures of where to cut.-includes extra roofing, floor and panels (for the cube shape interior that forms after extending the fuselage housing part of the rotor mechanism)-engine cover for the top of the roof-extra seats for the gunners-maybe some m60 door machineguns.-etcI don't know if the exterior would need extra modding. I know it needs a slim hinged door/panel between the sliding passenger doors and the cabin and the end of the fuselage that connects to the tail probably needs a bit of modding too if you want 100% accuracy.
>>11621999You would need longer main rotor blades as well.
I recently got back into the jazwares halo line, and I just want to vent some frustrations; elite heads should've been double ball-joints. The inability to look sideways sucks BIG balls. There's also some minor sculpt decisions that hinder articulation, but a little slicing here and there opens that up. A uniform hand grip would've been nice, as well, but w/e...Then there's the death of the line, as the reach zealot is AMAZING! I would've loved to have seen reach elites, and hell even figures based off of the OLDER games! That's not that bad, though, as I Ultimately DO have my mcfarlane reach and 3 elites.Still, though, the lack of stealth/spec-op elites in the infinite style is very frustrating! And this last complaint isn't necessarily the companies fault, as I can only blame myself for failing to jump on it when I had the chance, but why is the minor armor, but red colored, elite, so hard to find!? I can't even find the figure on eBay!? If anybody knows any obscure place that has it, please send link!
>>11620523 The 1:18 Hobby Boss UH-1B Huey is the 21st Huey as a model kit. That'll get you in the right scale.Their Harrier is the 1:18 JSI/Merit release
>>11626382>UH-1BNo it isn't, Hobby Boss. Speaking of HB, anyone know where those radial engine Fw 190s originated from?
contains product placement
Anyone seen the V22 in the wild?
>>11627006>>11627008new offering?is this the same mold as the old chap mei osprey?
>>11627006>>11627008Damn, that looks sick as fuck!!Is this normally found in walmarts? What's the typical price point? Thanks for the heads up, anon!
>>11627062Likely, though perhaps with a little less detail and using a different plastic.
>>11627127>Is this normally found in walmarts?This is walmart's in-house branding. $25 online:https://www.walmart.com/ip/AF-MILITARY-HELI-SET/14804111576?classType=REGULAR&from=/search

>>11626382>>11626392I don't understand your posts.>The 1:18 Hobby Boss UH-1B Huey is the 21st Huey as a model kit. That'll get you in the right scale.yeah... I know that.>No it isn't, Hobby Boss.what was mean by this?
>>11627295The 21st/HB is a Charlie or Mike model. The fuel port in on the left-hand side of the fuselage being the big tell. Though if you got into "rivet counting", it's probably a mix of model. 21st wasn't exactly slavish to accuracy.
>>11627062Every part of this rocks
>>11627132I wish the vehicles weren't so damn narrow.
>>11627801Yeah, the Walmart ones do tend to be like that.
made my centurion a vitis and a pharela webgear, now I'm just missing some pharelae but I don't know what to use.Any ideas?
>>11628031I don't have the answer but you might find inspiration in the section of a Hobby Lobby where they have all the stuff to make jewelry. Tiny straps, perhaps shiny bits as well?
>>11628429Today I found out that micro sized ancient greek coins exist that would be perfect to use at this scale. But they are prohibitively expensive to use as decorative awards on an action figure.
