Thoughts on the Halo Mega line?I know that the next Halo game is doomed to fail, but I hope that we at least get some new Mega sets out of it.
Mega's fucking dead. Mattel doesn't even use the "Mega" name for brick toys anymore, look at pic in this post >>11588851
>>11607636Mega Dead, Mega Cope, Mega Cucks
>>11608634Can't you at least turn it into a rhyme If you're schizo obsessed over a dead toyline?
>>11607559The early waves were absolutely amazing. I'm still trying to hunt down a few of the sets. Genuinely the coolest toys a young Halo fan could have. However, the quality started to decline around when they dropped the "Bloks" from their name. They started focusing too much on figs and the builds thatbwe did get were only focused on the shitty 343 games. And now, when they finally started to ramp back up with the Falcon, Pelican and Floodgate sets they disappear into the void.I really hope the now Mattel Brick Shop does more sets for the remake. It'd be a real shame if it dies this pathetically.

>>11607559These were super unpopular in Europe, sadly. I remember begging my mom for the first Warthog but it had to ship from the US. Even now when I try to buy from the secondary market there are no listings in Europe, even though later down the line Mega had decent distribution here. Thankfully the UK is overloaded with them and I can still get sealed boxes of the 2010 vehicles for relatively cheap.
>>11610654Halo is generally not a thing in europe. I never saw ANY Halo merchandise anywhere here, even at the height of its popularity.
Halo is what got me into Mega, all the way back when the first wave of what was then Halo Wars came out. Brick quality was iffy, particularly with that one turret set with the three figs, would fall apart in a stiff breeze. However, those figs... Lego-sized, full of detail, nice sculpting, great articulation, I was hooked and stayed with the line all the way through, even picking up stuff from CoD, AssCreed and others as they appeared. As a fan of the Halo universe and its Mega sets I've made my peace with the fact that Microsoft and Mattel have killed them off respectively.>>11608727Nice collection! Do you have the ODST Scorpion? My personal white whale heh.
A shame there isn't a bricklink equivalent for Mega. A lot of my old sets are missing pieces and I'd love to restore them without buying an entire set second hand.
>>11610654>>11611201There is a reason why most Halo fans and collectors are from the US and Mexico
>>11607559Slight thread drift but how many name characters did Mega blocks make for the Call of Duty line? I know they made Ghost buy I'm blanking if we ever got Soap, Price, Graves, or Alex Keller?
>>11618696The thing that makes this tricky is that Mega has made sets with nameless soldiers that look exactly like named characters. I know for certain they made more than what you listed because there was a Heroes line where they sold only named characters; Makarov and Shepard from the original MW trilogy, that one female pilot you rescue in MW1, and the two that I own, Reyes from Infinite Warfare and Logan from Ghosts from off the top of my head.
>>11618696>>11618702Oh, I forgot I also have a named zombie in riot gear. I think his name is Bruticus or something, never played Zombies that much.
>>11618696Soap, Price and Alex Mason got at least two figures each, only ever played Blops 1 really so outside the well-known characters like those and Shepard and Makarov I couldn't say who all else appeared but they did quite a few. You can still view the first couple figures pages of the old Mega CoD website here: https://web.archive.org/web/20240412145636/https://www.megaconstrux.com/en-us/call-of-duty/figuresUnfortunately the archive seems to have missed most of the older sets and figures, you can still look them up on the mattel service site if you know the set name or code.
Guys go check your local tj maxx. They are selling USNC Elephants for 49.99
>>11608798>>11608731>>11608634Singapore.
Skyrim Dragon's going for 19.99 in burlington
>>11608692kudos. >>11608634 Also I don't get the hate. The line was deep 6ed by its parent company - They chose to make more money with the licensing. I get being mad at the company - but getting mad at the people who like the product - because the line was killed? That doesn't make a lot of sense. I like the figures I have. I wish there were more and I had more choice. I am not that interested or skilled in customs. But I won't stop taking them out.
>>11622279It's bait from a terminally online tard, many such cases.
