There's smug pricks who think they're the elites in every collector's community. They're usually driven by economic advantage of owning the shit most collectors can't afford, giving them a sense of superiority. On this board they're easy to spot because they'll attack the poor for not being able to afford what they can afford, as well as attack other people's opinions for not lining up with their own which they always presume to be factual. Domination comes from mentally beating down everyone else. They never apologize for being assholes because as far as they're always concerned they're always right, therefore lesser people deserved poor treatment. I've gotten to the point to where I just hide the posts of such people, and don't reply at all.

And being a prick comes from being someone who gets off on being mentally abusive to others. Some people aren't happy unless they're abusing others because treating tohers like shit is something they get off on, and some people use it as a means of bullying others into submissiveness. I rarely see that in the real world because most people know if you treat others like that in person, you're gonna get a beatdown IRL. So it's always "behind closed doors," or in this case anonymously on the internet.
