Pretty much the same angle as Silver Wolf's ring. With CX's being naturally taller, Free should give whatever it's on the ability to destabilize opponents the same way.
alright then since this is back, might be a good thing to discuss some of the new releases. Been seeing a lot of stuff regarding the X line for a while and I have to say, the line certainly is going to have an interesting future. Honestly, Clock Mirage has been getting a lot of buzz thanks to it being possibly one of the most perfectly balanced bey in the X line so far.
>>11608493is that a weird mix of turbo and metal needle or am I just blind
>>11608818There's no metal in the tip. It's basically Spiral Change for X.
>>11608493Mmmm, beyblade....
they're putting so much effort into making beyblade an international sensation again i'm almost sorry it's not really workingthey even organized tournaments here in italy where old people outnumber kids by a lot
>>11609345Tablet zombies don't care about spinning tops. People who grew up with Beyblade and actually know what it is do.
I hate Hexa Rod so much that I'm considering dropping it from my deck and going triple attack just to have three chances to fuck it over when the other guy has it.
>>11609510Even though I had Rod very early I have never used it in tournaments. It just feels dishonest to the game.
>we went from galman, voltaic ape, and magical ape to no monkey beys for two gens straight to... yell kongWhy?
>>11609516>It just feels dishonest to the game.I banned it from games between my niece and nephew because it was the only thing winning consistently
>>11610109don't forget Optimus Primal
>>11610160I love Wizard Rod, I'm probably the biggest user of it at my locals, but even I wouldn't mind if the thing got a full ban from events. It creates too many feel-bad moments.
I miss Karura.
>>11610245It doesn't really feel like a monkey bey. Where's my thick, bumpy, round defense type?
>>11610109>>11610245>the only two monkey beys we have are just retools of a different creatureWe don't even have a real monkey yet.

Am I a fool for trying to run the stock Pegasus build? I like its design and it was the first Bey I picked during my trip to Japan so it's mine pet Bey now for better or worse.
what's a good way to store (preferably fully assembled) beyblades? I don't mean a deck box but for general collection. I've reached the point where "just chuck them in the arena" is becoming untenable
>>11611681I have seen people online using egg trays/cases.
What’s everyone’s opinion of the infinity stadium ? I have mixed feelings about it especially when it’s so easy to self pocket .>>11611681There’s some bead organizers you can find at dollar stores. I used them until I had too much crap and upgraded to a fish bait box.
>>11611681Go full tacticool and get a case with foam interior that you can shape to your preference.
hueg
I remember people expected clock mirage to be trash cause of it's ratchet-related debuff but after a few short trial runs it seems pretty solid.
>>11612001Looks like I'm getting the set. What are the parts for the golem and shark?
>>11612091Golem Rock has a purple M-85 and a white High Needle. Shark Gill has a white 5-60 and a sky blue Free Ball.
>>11612125Sweet. I needed a freeball, and I owned no golem or m-85 yet; that plus the Emperor sounds like a nice enough get.
>>11609345it's actually the same in the philippines. BBX is very popular here, but most of the players are adults. ironically during the Burst era, majority of the players were kids or young teens.
>>11611818The Infinity Stadium is so close to perfection>Symmetrical dish design, already a big plus>Over Zones have no ledges whatsoever, leading to easy self-pockets>Extreme Zone ledge is too short, also leading to easy self-pockets.>Over Zones are not as cramped as the Xtreme Stadium's, like TT did not want to commit to having open pockets like those of the XX Motorised Stadium.Praying they release a hotfixed version, and standalone, soon because it's a pity to see a symmetrical stadium design go to waste otherwise.
I hate the twitter e=celebs who pretend they're some important figures and claim Bey X as their own. A clique that only accepts their own kind. So insufferable.
>>11609510Always told myself if I ever plan to compete it'll be with all Sharks. I've got Shark Edge, B4 Shark Edge, and Shark Scale, now I'm just waiting for the CX shark so I can toss away this Shelter Drake knockoff Gill Shark.>>11610109Are there no mythical monkeys and gods? You'd think a balance type would be perfect for some kind of primate themed Beyblade.
>>11612381Hannuman, Sun Wukong, Shinto are animists so they have a bunch of assorted nameless animal gods, including monkeys. I really don't get it.And it's not as if there was never an archetype to build on. Monkeys were defense or balance types in Bakuten. At least Burst could have had something instead of white dragon, yellow dragon, purple dragon, green dragon, etc. Or maybe archetype is kind of uninteresting to them, it being compact, round defense types with small studs.
>>11612562>Monkeys were defense or balance types in Bakuten.I know people probably don't want more Bakuten homages at this point, but if they made proper X versions of Galeon, Galzzly, Galman, and finally made Galux into a real Bey, I'd be all for it.
>>11611818>I used them until I had too much crap and upgraded to a fish bait box.I wound up picking up a tackle box at walmart (nothing fancy, just the cheapest one. I think pic related) and it seems just about the right size. holds 20 comfortably, which sounds like a lot but if you're at the point where you're even considering proper storage you should probably grab a handful just to prepare in advance.
>>11612653Most of the year one rival beys were Bakuten homages, right?Shinobi for Saizo, Pendragon, Unicorn Sting for Unicolyon/Strike, Phoenix for Dranzer, Sphinx for Sphinxer, Leon arguably for Galeon and Driger.
>>11612846finally, someone else who sees that shinobi is a saizo homageyou're wrong about phoenix though, garuda is dranzer. if anything, you could view it as a trygle.
>>11612846the only explicit bakuten homages are the ones with the triangle logo, so cobalt drake/dragoon, impact drake, silver wolf/wolf hunt, black shell, crimson garuda, weiss tiger, shelter drake
>>11611818I dont care for the symmetrical design, i prefer the original asymmetrical design that allows for more, longer x-treme dashes. I also dont know why they went with the narrower hasbro like design for it.
>>11612860>garuda is dranzerYeah, I know, but I see it kind of as there being a split homage, Burn looking like the only threat to the top bladers and Karura owning the actual homage, but Phoenix being Trygle isn't that far off, yeah, both are in lore the result of extensive research and testing.>shinobi is a saizo homageI feel like the only fan of Saizo. Too bad not even his homages can be good.>>11612867Those are the more explicit ones, the others are based on or inspired on Bakuten-era motifs. Balance type lion is from Bakuten, defense type lion is from MFB, for example.
>>11609510I'm just sick of Rod in general and I avoid using it even though I know I'd do better because I just don't want to. I have seen someone fucking around with attack Rod on LR recently with decent results though, so I might give something like that a try
>>11611535>Am I a foolYes, turbo is the most retarded part they've put out in the entire X line, and the fact that they put it on one of the most meta blades in the entire line is a cruel joke.
>>11611681Cheap tacklebox is the most common solution I've seen since you can usually fit assembled beys in the bottom and then spare parts in the top compartments. Higher effort/cost solution would be cases with foam inserts like the other anon mentioned, or if you've got access to a printer and lots of time/autism there are some pretty nice 3D printed storage box solutions you can find using gridfinity inserts to mix and match what kind of compartments you want.
>>11612001I want this fatass waffle so bad bros
>>11612879I've had a similar thought, as well.>Shinobi for SaizoYou can add Ghost for Polta.
Went to a weird walmart I never liked because it's ultra modern and feels like a prison block, but the one by our home has shitty stock of everything. Decided to brush past the toy isle and they were LOADED with beyblades that none of my others have. I picked up a fucking Wave Whale, instant get since I didn't actually have one. Bellow are some of the others I say, and I'm not sure if they're actually rare but its the first time I've ever wittnessed them in the wild:Drake and Wizard CX plenty ofGolem Rock x2Yell Kong x2Silver Wolf x2Obsidian Shell x2Green and yellow Rod Wizards maybe three of eachShelter Drake RED x2Phoenix Soar Blue with that Hexa bit2pack that comes with the Crest Lion One Shinobi Shadow in the chase colors, but kids stole the ratchet and bit out of there (could maybe talk them down to half off)The blue stadium setIs any of this shit rare? Positively none of it was on sale, sadly. I might go back for a silver wolf. I'm seriously stunned they had a lot of ones I had never seen before. The Whale was mine because I've always wanted an elevate bit and never wanted to pay crazy high prices for it. When I looked it up online Obsidian Shell was going for like 22 dollars, which is wild since this was only 9 at this location.
>>11613567Yeah, a couple of them. The green Wizard Rods are a little easier to find, but still rare; they usually get bought up quick because it's 3 S-tier parts in one package. Blue Phoenix Wing has been hard to find since that initial first batch of them came out earlier this year, and even moreso now that Hexa is in such high demand. I'd definitely go back to get those if you have the chance.
>>11613567I don't think there's anything actually "rare", in the traditional sense, but there's a lot of sought after beys here. >Drake and Wizard CX>Drake???
>>11613790I assume he means dran brave>>11613567I wouldn't really consider any hasbro releases "rare," once their perpetual stocking issues sort themselves out with a wave it's usually pretty easy to find anything in it. I guess whale wave and the green rod might be exceptions but that could just be due to everyone hard hoarding (or worse scalping) those two in particular.
>>11612943I guess I can't help myself but to pick bad/inferior Beys for my favourites. HellsHammer, PegasusBlast and PerseusDark are my top three stock build when it comes to colours and design. I fell in love with WizardRod 5-70DB back then and it was my first Bey ever but it was simply too good at one point. I guess it's not so oppressive anymore.
>>11613790>>11613795also might have separately been talking about impact drake and arc wizard, not sure why he'd put them in one line like that though
what's up with valkyrie volt? tried looking up listings on ebay and it's going for about $100 less than aero pegasus
>>11614216I'm not familiar with what it normally goes for and if that's significantly out of the ordinary, but if it is there's a good chance demand is way down because we're about to get a regular release metal lock chip with emperor waffle
>>11614216Valkyrie Volt isn't very good, people really only wanted it for the metal Lock Chip. Now that Emperor Might is out and you can get one without having to pay $400, Valkyrie's value is going down. Aero Pegasus, however, is still one of the best Beys in the game, so its price will always be high until the red one gets released. Aero Pegasus may even get more expensive in the meantime because it's leaving the gacha soon.
boys, is it finally CX's time to shine? Between sol eclipse actually having some pretty cool combinations and emperor might making MLC accessible to the masses plus adding a handful of what look like really viable parts, could we finally be moving away from the "make it as short as you fucking can and run rod" meta?
>>11614640It feels like we're in the middle point of the CX era now, where the last few CX's they've released have been the best ones in the line so far. Everyone's hyped up Emperor Might's ridiculous weight, but even Wolf Hunt is 38.5 - 39g, so maybe we're getting there. Weight creep is slowly setting in.I hope this is the point where we'll start getting more that are intentionally designed to be strong. They can't keep releasing CX's that just end up being "Wheel 9-60 Low Rush/Hexa" holders, they need to make something that's as good as the UX top tiers.
>>11614676I forgot to even mention Wolf Hunt, I'm actually really excited for that one, because Free feels like a really fun idea for an assist blade
How about Hell's Reaper T-op ? Is this bey good enough for competition ?
>>11614966Not really. Hells Reaper kind of sucks, there are better assist blades than Turn, and Operate will probably see as little play as Turbo does.
>>11614998I don't think Operate is likely to be quite that useless, since it shouldn't have the problem Turbo does where it's actively fucking useless since its entire mechanic means it runs in stamina mode until it loses enough stamina to drop into attack mode, completely fails to do anything because it doesn't have any power left to attack with, and then promptly dies. Whether it's actually worth running remains to be seen, but it absolutely can't be as bad as turbo just by merit of having an actual mode switch you can control.
>>11615074Turbo's real flaw is that it needs to be in a good position when it drops to attack mode or else it will lose control and do nothing, but that's not something you can control 15 seconds into a match. If Turbo is using a heavy blade and placed into an area that let's it ride into the xtreme line, it can win but those are conditions you can't influence, especially in an aggressive meta with heavy stamina types. Even if you wait in the center with a Hexa Rod, you'll have to dodge it on your way into the rail and then hope for a hit to win.
>>11615191Even if by some miracle it ends up in a good position when it drops to attack mode, it doesn't matter when the condition for dropping is that it's slowed down so much that the hit is more likely to self-KO than actually do anything to the opponent. Sure, there's a very very slight chance that if you're running something heavy and it drops to attack and immediately hits a perfect X-Dash it might manage to pocket your opponent, but if they're running anything with a decent amount of stamina/weight themselves (which is highly likely if it's something you manage to hit since it would have to be sitting right in the middle waiting to outspin you) then it's way more likely to just shrug off your anemic hit and watch you fall over. It's just so completely backwards from the way that would make sense to work, if its mechanic was being in attack mode when it's spinning fast and then switching to stamina mode once it starts to slow down then it would have a purpose, since there'd be a chance to build for high attack but the fallback of a stamina mode if you lose too much spin on failed attacks early.
>>11614101I compromise by using the meta as wheelchair for my ace beyblade.
>Pan will be relevant in S3Holy Based.
>>11615432Fucking finally. Give me UX Rhino already.>>11615208I know.On something like Whale or Roar it can land some strong hits and even get a xtreme finish but it's not consistent enough to warrant adding it to your deck.

>Blast Free performing well against Clock Mirage and Wizard Rodhttps://x.com/beyblade_xyz/status/1986072616520864030
Seems like Emperor Might's weight is a detriment to it. It looks like it has next to no stamina and can't move fast enough to be used for attack because of how heavy it is.
>>11616336Skill/build issue. Put it on 9-60 hexa and rip it hard as fuck
$3 sword dran. i already got one with the stadium i bought but for this price...
>>11616585worth it for the extra 3-60 and point bit alone, since those things will wear out eventually
>>11616587very true and actually i was wrong, the one i already had was dagger dran.
So Clock Mirage is hard setup to be "Absolute Stamina" but not much else. No real attack power or defense. So that's got me wondering if there's an "Absolute Attack" and "Absolute Defense" blade that seems to be devoted only to that one stat at the cost of the others. I'll assume Dran Buster on 1-60 and maybe Gear Rush is the "Absolute Attack" combo.
>>11616587>>11616596also accidentally read that as point, but it's a flat bit so definitely worth grabbing
>>11616800I mean there's a lot of blades that are really only good for one thing. You COULD build Shark Scale for stamina if you wanted to for example, but that's retarded
>>11616825I know, but I like gimmick decks so I'm trying to find>Super strong attack, but shit stamina.>Strong defense, but shit attackTo compliment Clock's "Strong Stamina, but shit defense."
>>11616800Impact drake comes to mind.
Is CX rhino worth picking up or nah?
>>11617468if you think it looks cool, sure. it's probably top 5 for me in that regard.if it's good? I dunno I've never really heard anybody hype up its unique assist blade and it's just got the hells blade which is... probably the weakest of the hells line as a whole?
>>11617468From what I've seen, the only good part you get from it is the charge assist blade. Everything else on it is meh.
Anybody have their simple ratchets break their blades? Any idea of what causes it?
>>11617517Break how? On impact?
>>11617527I mean ratchets like 4-55 breaking the locking mechanism on blades.
>>11617532no?
>>11617553I hope they fixed that problem. I've heard about 3-85s breaking blades and I'm worried that 4-55 will do the same.
nice meta
>>11617676It's like watching Pokemon's VGC where 90% of the team compositions are the exact same with a couple of outliers. But then I'm on a stance that anything that's meant to be recreational first, competitive second should never bother with the latter in the first place.>but X's gimmick is gear sportsAnd that's fine, but it doesn't change that it was going to fall into the same traps as its previous iterations of making a handful of good beys while everything else is tossed or only bought for secondary parts. But TT don't care since they're making money off it either way.
>>11617033That's actually a good point. Probably going to put it on 1-60 Gear Rush to make it as aggressive as possible. It's kind of annoying that all the good defense combos are just stamina blades, and all the defense blades are used as attackers.
>>11617999use rubber accel if you actually want to go for "attack at all costs"
Wassup anons, I'm sort of new to beyblades and wanted to grow my collection. Where do you guys usually go to get beys? Keep in mind I'm a europoor so places like walmart are out the question. Thanks
>>11618094Well I'm not a yuro so I can't really speak to what you might have available. Try looking up what local businesses carry stock in your area? Here it's mainly big box stores like Walmart and Target, and some smaller places like Gamestop that have things consistently. Amazon is also an option, nice thing is for the most part they usually have most of the Hasbro line in stock at any given time. For anything without a Hasbro release, you're looking at working with importers, and I have no idea what that might look like for your country. Here in the US the most common ones I see people using are Beysandbricks and Malloftoys, but I have no idea if they do any importing to places other than the US.
>>11618099yeah I was gonna mention beysandbricks but if it's EU I have no idea where someone would go for imports. But then I guess you don't have to deal with the same tarrif shitshow the US has going on right now so you can probably just get them directly off Amazon JP.
>>11618103>But then I guess you don't have to deal with the same tarrif shitshow the US has going on right now so you can probably just get them directly off Amazon JP.True I guess, depending on what his particular country's rules are around that.
>>11618099>>11618103I'll try amazon jp, thanks fellas
>>11617847>but it doesn't change that it was going to fall into the same traps as its previous iterations of makingYou mean refused to avoid falling into those traps
>>11617676are locals just jamming net decks or are people chill enough to acknowledge the 97% of other releases in the game?
>>11618295My local scene has a decent amount of people chasing meta and definitely a ton of scale, rod, hover showing up in decks, but I do see a lot of variety in the way people build them and a decent number of people who just build what they like.
>>11609345That's because Italy only has old people. Try having kids.
>>11618126If you can get hasbro releases for cheaper from the eu Amazon do so, beys themselves are identical, just get a takara stadium.
>>11618037>RAOh shit, you're right. I forgot that exists.
Whats a counter for shark scale? I tried Blast/Wheel hexa but even that has trouble against it.
>>11618650rod
>>11618668NTA but Rod 1-60 Under Needle would be an effective counter to Shark Scale.God, I HATE Rod.
>>11618729>God, I HATE Rod.It's not fair that Scale and Hover hard counter Silver Wolf and forced it out of the meta, but fucking Wizard Rod remains.
>>11618731An aspect of Rod that I don't see discussed is the difference between a fresh Rod and a worn Rod. Naturally, a fresh Rod is good for attack, because of course that fucking thing is also good for attack, and counterattack but a worn Rod is better at defense since there's nothing to grab to on impact.I genuinely believe it's an issue for the game and that it should be banned.
>>11618731On the bright side, I can claim Silver Wolf as a hipster pick.
>>11618731>>11618823I still run wolf sometimes for fun but yeah it unfortunately just gets shut down constantly. At least with Wolf Hunt it's looking like it could be back in some form soon even if it's just people slapping Free on blast.
>>11618823>>11618895I've been running silver wolf on 7-60 hexa, and I find that as long as you launch it out of the way of the first couple extreme dashes it has a solid winrate against all the meta picks I've tested. And maybe I just got lucky with my tolerances but it's never burst once.
>>11618925I tend to run 7-60FB and I don't have much burst issues (at least on the yellow 7-60 from fort hornet, my black one is getting pretty loose) but the issue I tend to see is just losing steam too fast or wobbling too much, so maybe trying hexa would make a difference there. I do wonder how it would do on a 0 ratchet but I don't have any to try until I get my Wolf Hunt.
Anyone have their emperor deck set and/or wolf hunt yet? I've seen some people who preordered from amazon jp getting them in already, and I want someone to try out Emperor Waffle F0-80H and tell me if there's anything there.
>>11618668shit forgot to say, our locals run 1 bey vs1 bey for qualifiers and wizard rod is banned.
>>11618971Weird setup, but I mean it's not like scale is unbeatable, just hit it with something really heavy that can tank it like phoenix on a low setup, 9-60UN or like K or something. Hell once Emperor Might is common it'll probably make Scale look like a retarded toddler trying to hit it.
>>11618650I have a pretty good win rate against shark scale with my Venom 3-60L comboGoon is of course always an option too.
>all these complaints about Shark Scale>I'm loving it because it's shark themedI'm a sucker for aquatic beyblades, so the fact one of them is considered top tier is great in my opinion. But as I've said already, I'd gladly run a full shark deck if we ever got a 3rd. Hell I'd run them all stock as well since even Shark Edge can potentially fuck up Wizard Rod when I ran tests against meta setups with my friends.
>>11618978There already is a third shark, gill shark from a hasbro release that's also coming in the emperor deck set. Someone in my local scene regularly runs a full shark deck.
>>11618980I am not using discount Shelter Drake just because Hasbro wants to be jews. Call me back when we get a CX shark.
>>11618982So just throw Bite Croc in there to kind of fit the theme and be a copy of Shark Edge I guess, or use Optimus Primal with a custom sticker.
>>11618976Yeah not a big fan of that system but our venue exploded in participants. We tend to get 60+ players and have to speed up the games.I actually have the valk chip and it ruins the stamina. Scale can outspin it.>>11618977I tried goon 6-70 level and scale clobbers it on a regular basis.
>>11619079Tried elevate on goon? Really you just need to outspin it, scale isn't that hard to beat it just comes down to having something that's not gonna get pocketed immediately and good launch tech. Grock can do it, rod can do it, silver wolf can do it, phoenix can do it. Just avoid getting hit by an early dash from the shark and it'll tire itself out pretty quickly.
>Hasbro Wave 7>Shark Scale as a booster

>>11619389>Fang LeonSo, will it be the Evobattle version or will we finally get the King version?
>>11619473I don't think they were supposed to be up at all. The gimped Customize Set they had up said it wouldn't release until January 1st when it was still able to be preordered, but it's also out of stock now.https://www.walmart.com/ip/BEY-BBX-WIND-CAVE/17550058512
>>11619493Taking out red tyranno roar is such a weird move, especially because they released ghost in those colors already and you don't even get the zero ratchet. What happened here, Hasbro?
>>11619569Shit I said it in my head correctly and still typed roar. Tyranno beat, red metalized king
>>11619569They cut Tyranno Beat 1-60 Rush specifically from the set. Since that's the primary meta combo for it, I can only imagine that they plan to sell it as some other product.
>>11617676lol
Man, the Hasbro starter prices increasing from $10 to $15 feels like shit when you realize you're now just paying the extra $5 for the proto launcher. A $5 increase because it comes with something worthless absolutely sucks.
>>11620198did they increase the prices for all starters? last I checked the only price increase was on the CX line (which is the same in JP, though I forget what the exact price bump was)
>>11620240Boosters have gone from $8 to $10, starters from $10 to $15.
Just found my old collection of plastic gen. Can y'all niggas explain to me why Beys look so fucking ugly nowadays? Shit looks like the horrible bootleg stuff we'd ban in the early 00's
>>11620746I don't think the new stuff is ugly, but I do think the old stuff had way more personality. There are some notable exceptions from X that look cool and unique, mostly among the CX line and like the metal coat blades, but really it's mostly just a consequence of the fact that all the beys have mainly metal main blades and contact points, it's great for how fun they are to battle but not so great for making them look unique. It's part of the reason I'm really glad to see some indication that TT actually cares about trying to make CX more viable, you just get way more options for making cool and unique builds with that line compared to BX and UX beys.
>>11618650>>11618971Phoenix Wing with LR
>>11620746I don't think they're ugly but they do seem more simplistic, one problem is the lack of stickers to make things pop more. The other would be the metal molding, for every cool thing like Cobalt Drake having the details of a dragon head, you get stuff like Knight Mail which is just a non-distinct shape with markings. It feels weird that the stuff that comes to Hasbro first tend to have those details on the metal more often.
>>11621068>It feels weird that the stuff that comes to Hasbro first tend to have those details on the metal more often. It's not that weird when you consider Hasbro doesn't have any interest in the actual competitive aspect of BBX, and just wants to sell them as toys. Bringing the stuff with more distinct molds makes it easier to try to sell them as cool unique items instead of trying to sell them based on how they actually perform in a match. Same reason we get so many collab sets with lazy remolds of existing beys, they can sell it based on the character sticker like it's a fortnite skin.
>>11620746I'm the opposite, for me X beys look the cleanest. It's metal like metal fight, but it's also less flat and thin. Plus they just move better, especially something like hover wyvern.
>>11620746Because during plastic gen Beyblades were allowed to have personalities. Now everything is just generic metal since the current format is about trying (and failing) to keep the playing field as even as possible. Hell it even allows for reskins for shit sake, and the anime goes along with it as well. While X is indeed fun to play, the tops themselves are just bland compared to plastic gen and Burst.>what about Metal FightI skipped metal fight for the same damn reason I give X flak now; they look bland and uninteresting compared to what came before and after them.
>>11621280Megabased response. Here's a picture of some of my most prized plastics as a treat
Man, I wish the X-Over stuff wasn't so dogshit competitively
>>11621280I wouldn't include Burst in there personally. It just looks too much like abstract art. You look at stuff like this and all you can ask yourself is what the hell is this even supposed to represent? I don't disagree on the point that metal can be boring, but I prefer the good metal stuff to anything in Burst. Say what you will about Zero G, but the beys themselves look pretty nice.
I prefer plastic gen and burst, personally. They both had some of the weirdest gimmicks to their blades and that's the part that gets me interested. Meta's cool, but Lucifer the End transforms when it's health is low and that's WAY cooler.
>>11621929maybe they'll slip up and accidentally create a good one
>>11622056Nothing wrong with being abstract, especially when Burst was even more gimmick heavy than plastic gen was.>You look at stuff like this and all you can ask yourself is what the hell is this even supposed to represent?A defense type? Like I get what you're saying because a lot of people here take issue with how busy Burst's designs were, but in my case it represents why I got into Beyblade back in 2002. Each part had a meaning and a purpose to its design to make the bey feel like its own character, which is literally the case in both plastic and Burst. And this is extra bias from me, but I feel Burst definitely deserves to be propped up for breaking down the wall saying only one left spin should exist per generation and it must be an attack type. That shit annoyed me before plastic gen even ended, and Metal exacerbating it thanks to the anime considering it 'evil' and 'spinning left being forbidden' was such a retarded excuse that I bailed early. So thank you Fafnir, Bahamut, Salamander, and Helios for existing, especially Bahamut's line.>but it messes the metaThat's your problem for giving shit about competing with a bunch of tops. I just want to have fun and admire how awesome my Dread Bahamut and Hollow Deathscyther look.
>>11622137I'm not going to shit on the meta aspect of Burst when I don't understand it well enough, I just don't like how they look. Plastic gen is my favorite but part of that is because there's a sleekness to go along with that personality. They give off the feeling of a souped up sports car in top form.
Shark Scale 1-60 Free Ball is way better than I thought it would be. Japan might be onto something.
>>11619389>shark scale and cerberus on the cheapI'm still bothered by some choices they make like removing the red tyrano from the knight mail set, but there's also moments like this where I'm getting exactly what I want for prices that aren't awful. Because for the longest time this motherfucker was either nonexistent from listings, sold out, or way too much for a spinning top
Is Clock Mirage as bursty as people say it is?
>>11622950yes
Was doing testing for random bullshit combos and;Impact Drake 1-80 FBTanks hits with surprisingly low stamina loss, then counter punches like fucking Rocky.Knife Shinobi 6-80 AFor some reason, this thing consistently KOs fucking anything I throw at it including meta WizRod.

>>11623784It's called curse because it breaks fucking immediately.
>>11623778>Gear chip design has the Bakuten logo AND the MFB hexagonwoah, homaging 2 generations at once
these new releases look terrible
>>11623859>MFB hexagonEither you're hallucinating or I'm blind, because I don't see a hexagon anywhere on that chip.
>>11623871The hexagon is behind the dragon, so only parts of the edges can be seen. It is kinda subtle. A more obvious example is you can see the edge of the green hexagon on Clock Mirage. You can also find the hexagon on Pegasus, Perseus and Sol
>>11623905forgot image
>>11623783I'm usually pretty content to just pay the upcharge on importing instead of waiting but for something so clearly destined to break I'll keep this one on holdthat said the pegasus is sleek as hell and I could go for the dagger, still need to get a glide bit.
Can you ID this Burst tip for me?A Beyblade was included in a thift store baggie of toys I actually wanted, and out of curiousity I'm trying to find out what the parts are. I've figured out the rest. The whole thing seems to be a custom parts combo.

>>11623871>>11623905
>>11624036I'm 99% sure it's Hunter-S
>>11623777It sucks that people are already reducing this to "Elevate Holder #2"I'm more interested in a proper left-spin attacker than more spin steal cheese.
>finally new left spin>it's just Dragoon againWhatever, I'll take it I guess. Wish they'd grow some balls and give other left spins of the other types without having to rely on homages.
Left-spins are always some kind of dragon, and we've only got two in X currently. Also Krhome getting an evolution to dragoon felt long overdue. I'm excited, though. I know it's cheesy, but I love the zombie beys and burst spoiled me with the entire fafnir line.
Its been 2.5 years, wheres our dual spin beyblade?
>>11624381I think hells hammer is accidentally dual spin
>>11624097looks like that's it, thanks!
I hate attack types. Just let me run three Wizard Rods in a deck and be done with it.
>>11624414Hey, I know what you're trying to do! You're just banning attack types so you can run all attackers in your list!
>>11624449I don't know what you're talking about.
do any smart people here know if beys and bricks does any kind of holiday sale or should i just pull the trigger on some X buys now
>>11624392only some moulds, they fixed it in later ones. It's also explicitly illegal to launch it left spin even if it works in tournament rules.
>>11625187So is it like a wedge with more teeth, or is it a flat bottom?
>>11625188Never mind, got my answer
>>11625193It's basically just the Hole Flat bottom Lighting L Drago came with.
oh that's cool, I didn't know this existed until no->$216.99...I mean it's a nice color scheme but this isn't a valkyrie volt/aero pegasus situation, just a few weeks ago you could buy the normal one with an (admittedly shit) arena and ID for $25
>>11625611>but this isn't a valkyrie volt/aero pegasus situationIt's a lottery prize all the same. It's not as rare as those, but it's still not a guaranteed thing they can just go buy like we can.
so like this defo means something rightcombined with the similarly styled P from like 2 months ago they form a perfect seti really really hope they release 4 ratchets that follow this and then 4 blades after that, my spinning top autism fucking screams for it
>>11623783Why are they putting two wedges if its not a newly introduced bit? They should've put under needle on Pegasus Brush instead or another bit that needs a reprint. Takara Tomy does things in the weirdest, most backwards ways.
>>11626082It's so that you can build the prize bey using commons.
Clock mirage is coming in the mail. I just need a UX bey that has strong defense but dogshit attack power. This is for a gimmick deck. I was told Golem Rock, but I don't own it so I don't know how good it is with defense. I was also told to try silver wolf, but it's a stamina type, though, isn't it?
Fang blade is around 30 grams. Given how top-heavy CX blades are, do you think the lighter weight will allow heavier assist blades to help its weight distribution?
>>11626277>dogshit attack power>I was told Golem RockGolem Rock is better at attacking than it is anything else.>I was also told to try silver wolf, but it's a stamina type, though, isn't it?Silver Wolf may say Stamina on the box, but it's a Defense type in function.
>>11626625How is it at attacking? I'm looking for a bey that can take hits, but is blade that can take hits but can't hit back for shit.
>>11626721Silver Wolf? It has zero attack power if you try to use it like an Attack type, but it has really strong counter hit potential otherwise. It's good at deflecting attackers and can even get KO's if the knockback sends them toward the pockets.>is blade that can take hits but can't hit back for shit.Pegasus Blast Wheel is the only thing I can think of that just sits there and tanks, because even Wizard Rod can get random KO's by doing nothing.
>>11626721The problem is good defense beys are heavy and heavy things can always launch their opponent into orbit with a good hit.
>>11626839>>11626839Shit. I guess Silver Wolf is the blade in question. I can't think of any other UX blades that are less agressively shaped than it, too. Also I don't have blast or wheel because I refuse to pay 40+ for the cerberus blade and am waiting for the hasbro release.
>>11626852blast is easy to get and not that expensive, so definitely worth grabbing, but yeah I'm in the same boat for wheel just waiting for hasbro
>>11627000Make sense for goon to be glazed
>>11627000>imma end up buying two like I did the B4 blue Shark Edge so one stays pristineSuch is life.
Is any of the UX Whales decent out of the box? I want to use a stock Whale for the main character vibes and I recently pulled WhaleWave 3-80GB.
>>11627469This is the only good one. All the others have terrible stock combos for what Whale wants to do. 7-60 and Kick are also two of the best parts in the game currently, so it's worth it to get this one anyway.
I was about to ask if anybody knew if there were any teal (?) bits that could compliment the wolf beys when I saw pic related. I was kinda on the fence about the mummy bey but assuming the prize version isn't that expensive I guess I'll pick it up when it drops. it's hard out here being an autist about color coordination
The Black Shell 7-70 WB that comes with the CX-08 random booster is so pretty. Im enjoying all the pink they're using (pink mammoth, wizard arc, launcher and winder, x-rails)
>>11627747https://worldbeyblade.org/Thread-Available-parts-and-color-variations-for-X google doc with all parts colors
>>11627747>any teal (?) bits that could compliment the wolf beysThere's actually a perfect one. The Emperor Might set comes with a light blue Free Ball.
>>11627747>>11627771There's also the blue hexa that comes on the blue phoenix if you can get your hands on one, it's a bit on the darker side but still what I'd consider teal-adjacent
>>11627747>>11627771I forgot one, Hasbro's Shark Gill comes with this color Orb. It's more turquoise in person and has slightly more green in it than that Free Ball.
>>11627728Whale aside, what stock combos are actually decent? Not necessarily top meta competitive but good enough to do the intended trick a steal a win once in a while.
>>11627912God I wish that were me
>>11627912>Dran Sword 3-60 Flat>Shark Edge 3-60 Low Flat>Phoenix Wing 9-60 Gear Flat>Whale Wave 7-60 Kick>Dran Buster 1-60 Accel>Impact Drake 9-60 Low Rush>Golem Rock 1-60 Under Needle>Shark Scale 4-50 Under Flat>Wizard Rod 1-60 Rush>Silver Wolf 3-80 Free Ball>Clock Mirage 9-65 BallI would say these are as close as you can get to the Bey's most optimal state while remaining in their stock combos. They're all capable of getting wins without being customized.
Alright I have zero knowledge about beyblade only that when I was a child in the year 2005 I bought an action figure of one of the main characters at Toys R Us. Never actually let it rip, the closest experience I have is LEGO ninjago spinjitzu. I enjoy competitive games; fighting games, board games, gambling, strategy games etc, and I see that this is coming back in a way. How do you actually play? What is the strategy of any? Is this something me and my homies can get into to make drunken game night just a little more fun? I'm tempted. How much is a good one of these fuckers? I have many questions.
>>11628134>How do you actually play?Count down like the anime and launch at the same time,Spin out is 1 pointBurst or regular (side) pocket is 2 pointsExtreme (center) pocket is 3 pointsFirst to 4 points wins the roundCan be played either single bey or 3 bey deck format.>What is the strategy of any? There's a lot, launch techniques and part synergy, it's dependant on what you want out of a particular bey. There are 4 types of bey, attack, defense, stamina, and balance, the names should be fairly self explanatory, granted what it says a part is on the box isn't always the best use case in practice.X has fairly straightforward design, the blade shape determines impact aggression, ( ie an attack type will generally hit harder than a defense.)the ratchet determines height and burst resistance, (named for burst impact points and height in mm, ie 3-60 has 3 impact points and sets bey height to 60mm.)the bit determines height and burst resistance as well as movement style and stamina consumption. (Naming is, variable, if any, and type, ei LF(low flat) is a flat bit(attack type) lowered 10mm compared to the standard bit height.)Probably better to watch videos on part specifics or for learning launch tech.>Is this something me and my homies can get into to make drunken game night just a little more fun?Absolutely, as long as none of you are meta fags and are willing to try making your own combos you'll have a great time. This generation has incredible spectacle to it, matches are very fun to watch between extreme dashes and bursts.>How much is a good one of these fuckers?Buy the Takara stadium and a couple winder launchers off Amazon, I think that will run about $70~.Beys themselves vary in price, but are about $10 each, starters are marked up a few dollars because they include a shitty launcher. The biggest upfront cost is a stadium, but the Takara bx-01 is worth getting, as are the winder launchers, they're bigger and have ratioed gearing for proper speed.
>>11627927>Silver Wolf 3-80 Free Ball>Shark Scale 4-50 Under Flat>Wizard Rod 1-60 RushI happen to have all three. Would these make a decent deck?
>>11628275yes thats a decent deck but could be optimizedsilver wolf on 3/5/7-60/70, free ball is goodshark scale (dont see 4-50 used much) 1/3/9-60 under flat or rush, low rushwizard rod combo is solid but you can put hexa for current meta defense combo
>>11628275Shark scale and rod are both best-in-class meta blades, and silverwolf is a solid pick that really only fell out of meta because rod stomps it. Like the other anon said, the stock combos are okay but all of them would benefit from making adjustments.
>>11627912Adding the blue Phoenix Wing 5-80H as a decent stock combo if you can find it.
>Wizard Rod 1-60 HexaIs there anything that beats this build consistently? What do you use to deal with it?
>>11629162Rod on ball should beat it with Stamina. Nothing else beats it 'consistently', but I always gamble beating Rods with aggressive builds, and I've found that accepting the coin toss and the result is better for your mental health. The game is part launch technique and the rest is luck, speaking as someone who runs all attack and has gotten 1st place and podiums at several locals using nothing but Attack builds and refusing to use Rod over the past year.
>>11629175>and I've found that accepting the coin toss and the result is better for your mental health>The game is part launch technique and the rest is luckI was on a hot streak for a couple of months earlier this year, some of the best luck of my life, but the past few weeks, I've not even been able to podium. The last couple of tournaments have come down to "Can I break through his Rod or not?" and it's cost me the match when it either walls me or hops out of the pocket to deny the points I needed. It's really disheartening because I keep comparing my current performances to my past successes, and I end up leaving furious with myself for not being able to do what I used to do. I feel like I'm plateauing in skill, or even getting worse, and no amount of effort is paying off.
>>11629162rod ball, dragoon elevate, shark scale or wyvern hover
>>11629193if youre on a losing streak and it feels out of your control, you gotta go focus on whats in your control. Deck combos, selection order, where you launch with what technique, etc.
>>11629193What the other anon said, some things truly aren't in your control with this game, and genuinely you shouldn't feel bad about it. As much as I think it's important to be proud of what you've achieved, it's also important to just take the Ls in stride and keep going especially if you just enjoy playing the game. Ultimately the funny little top game we enjoy has a bigger luck factor than a lot of people care to admit.
