>Final Fantasy VII gets Bring Arts of the entire AVALANCHE crew, Rufus, The Turks, and Sephiroth, all in their original 1997 glory straight out of the official art
>Final Fantasy IX gets Bring Arts of the main party and Kuja
>Final Fantasy Tactics gets a little less with only 3 characters, Ramza, Delita, and Agrias, but it's still something

I'm not a huge FF8 fan, but it's still be neat if they did Bring Arts for FF8 just so we could have Bring Arts for the entire PS1 era. We're so close.
>>
>>11609571
FF8 is the most likely line after 7. It’s not like they were making FF7 bring arts while they were still making ones from 9, the line still seems to be going albeit just lazy rereleases.

I AM a huge fan of FF8 and am still pissed that we never got Kiros, Ward, Cid, Fujin, Raijin, and Ultimecia. A new Edea that doesn't cost $800 would be nice, too.
>>
The fact that fft got anything at all is a miracle. I collect SQEX figgies mostly and yeah it's been a alow year with announcments for BA. I do kinda wish they wait with ff8 until their qc and engineering improves though. It's also kinda my favourite
>>
>>11609571
With this toyline you should be glad you're not getting your favorites given how atrociously overpriced the figure are. After all this time it still hurts me to think how much I spent on the DQXI cast, because you know Square is ripping you off and you still decide to go along with it due to how much you love the game.

I would have bought all the FFVII ones if not for that. But one time is more than enough, I'm not going to be a fool a second time.

>With this toyline you should be glad you're not getting your favorites given how atrociously overpriced the figure are

While I somewhat agree with you, collectors/fans have no other choice but to give in to SE's demands as they have complete monopoly of their IPs, these Bring Arts figures particularly the FFVII line for me, was a dream line for me for decades as these are in 1/12 ish scale and in their 90's classic look(no offense to Remake design and I like them too but nothing beats the OG look for me and they rarely do merch of the classic looks anymore) which I didn't imagine would happen so I had to pay up, I did research quite a bit before delving into the line so I knew what I was getting.

Not defending SE but you can't blame others if they dip into the line as nostalgia is sometimes hard to pass

>>11609571
FF8 has a good chance to be made into Bring Arts as they have some artwork made by Nomura years ago where they can base the figures off from, its only a matter of time on when they would do it

>>11609636
Tbh, if Bring Arts of FFVIII does happen, I don't see them doing Kiros, Ward, Cid and even Fujin and Raijin but that will depend on how the first releases sells well, they could probably do a 2 pack something like:

Squall and Rinoa
Zell and Quistis
Irvine and Selphie
Seifer and Edea
Laguna and Ultimecia

The FFT figures were only about 8000ish yen, and were about $55-$60 with the exchange rate. I thought that was pretty good, though US shops were charging $80-$90 for them, though they also would go on sale for $60-ish. I imagine the lower prices were because they didn't really expect them to sell super well.

I had wish we had at least gotten another set of 3 figures. Specifically, Chapter 2/3 Ramza, and Orlandu. Third character could be someone like Alma or Mustadio, or something.
>>
>>11610596
I don't mind simpler figures like what we originally got. It would definitely make them cost significantly less than what they produce now.

The only Square owned stuff I think I'd ever actually buy is Chrono Trigger. God help me if there are ever 1/12 Chrono Trigger figures.

Outside of FFT, CT is probably the only other series I'd be all in on too. At least CT only had 7 playable characters, so is isn't like they'd go that deep unless they started doing bosses/villains and stuff.

They're not that expensive. Most can be had in the $30 area for MOC examples. The only expensive ones are the two boxed sets (especially the one with Edea), but at around $150 or less that's still not bad for quarter-century-old toys.

The most expensive toys from FF8 are the Ragnarok ship (available in colored or clear). It was a "build-a-ship" with a piece coming with each of the Japanese releases of the Guardian Forces, and typically sells north of $1,000 for one now. Then there's Omega and Ultima Weapon, which run for a few hundred each.

How come she is priced higher? I don't feel she is popular enough(someone cmiiw) to warrant the price increase, can't post images as I am incognito and no proorder page yet from SE JP online store so here is the MFC link for now

Since FFT remaster was a huge success, it's likely SE has already greenlit another project related to the Ivalice saga. FFT and FFXII are the most well known games in that series, but since FFT already has a lot of merchs, they're shifting focus to XII instead.

I kinda wish for a XII-2 but that's wishful thinking, it's probably another remaster.

No pic of the faces but I remember from shops' description of the model kit that the eyes will be tampoed already

Personally, I am already happy with the Bring Arts, visually they are good and have great shelf presence(all thanks to Nomura's colorful 90's artwork where these figures are based off) that will be hard not noticed by visitor who views your collection

But this is a nice alternative to those who wants something they can build and customize to their preference, its kinda cheap too compared to the former, I've read somewhere that this model kit was design/made by Kotobukiya but I don't see it on MFC so don't quote me on that

Derp. You already answered my question.

>Does this make the toys cheaper since they're not patying anyone to assemble and paint them?

Probably as assembling and painting will need more man, with model kits, manufacturers just need to make the molds, print them, check runners if there are defects then box them to be shipped, assembling and painting is the most labor intensive in figure making which probably cost most of the price the buyers pays for

In other news, Bring Arts Cloud with Hardy Daytona made it into SE's top selling merch
>>
>>11616887
Bandai has spent at least a quarter-century making billions off of Gundam toys sold as kits. As long as eyes are painted to spare me the hardest part of painting a figure, then I'm all for Final Fantasy kit-figures as long as there's a noticably cheaper price.

Hardedge Cloud is finally up on AliExpress if anyone needs him. Some countries can dodge import tax + shipping when ordering there. I got him, Kaine and the last Nier Nendoroid I was missing (short hair A2).

Oh, the same listing also sells him on the Daytona and the Daytona separately and get this: YOU CAN EVEN BUY ONLY THE HARDEDGE.
I would have done that if I didn't need a fixed Cloud because I sold mine earlier this year to get this one.

I couldn't get into Octopath Traveler either, honestly. I think the closest we actually got was Bravely Default, but I didn't finish that either. Octopath was very half-assed, as in all plots were divided, and I couldn't switch my main character out, so I was stuck with mage nerd forever for no reason. Also, the dual-class system was way too barebones and boring. There just wasn't enough to play around with, in my opinion. I'll give both games another chance once I run out of things to play for sure, though.

Tressa is my octofu.
>>
>>11622699
>Bravely Default,
Even worse than Octopath, imo. It's popular to claim it's "FF5 but with an improved job system and better characters/story" but literally none of that is true. FF5 is a masterclass in simple-yet-robust turn-based, class-customized combat, as well as having one of the most thematically focused plots and well-bonded casts in FF history. Bravely Default fucks it all up royally by adding unnecessary bloat to every aspect, without either the cohesion or direction that makes FF5 such an enduring masterpiece.
>but I didn't finish that either
Many such cases. I tried playing it when it came out and couldn't finish it, then I tried replaying it last year and ended up quitting even sooner. It's a bloated slog with bad combat that's just complex enough to trick people into thinking it's good. The pre-rendered backgrounds are pure sex, though, especially with the 3D effect.

Anyway, to keep things on topic, Bring Arts needs to get their shit together and make some FF5 figures. I feel like the cool way to do it would be to make figures of all 5 heroes in their "feelancer" outfits (and include the capes/shoulderpads so they could be mimes, too) then do a variant or two of each character in another job outfit. They could even get dirty and package them in pairs, I don't give a fuck. I'd buy them all, anyway.

Nice Display!

My plan at first was just to get my fave team of Cloud, Tifa and Aerith and be content and done, I kinda knew once these figures sold out that they will skyrocket in price if the FFIX Bring Arts is an indicator. The universe gave me a sign to continue as I saw a Barret for sale loose but complete so it lead me to buy atleast the main team to complete them, I think most collectors will go with this route anyways as while Rufus and the Turks are also important, they are only secondary cast and not playable

But I went the extra mile for Zack as he is also a playable character and to make Aerith happy and the bike >>11613129
