The bittersweet part of Blockees is that you can expect a pretty fast release after announcement, despite the radio silence in between. Sometimes I wish more companies were the same.

On the other hand, there’s no way they aren’t making bank off of their Pokemon merch, it’s so strange that they prioritize stuff like Transformers instead.
>>
>>11612828
Because hasbro wants to profit from their ips and put zero effort on it while tpci is the extreme opposite by being a bitch about anything pokemon

lol sheet thanks guys.

But man going to check out and seeing it be like $32 with shipping.... The fact that my face is grimacing makes me question whether I actually give a fuck lol. if it was amazon this thing would be a no brainer since you can always find shit there to qualify for free shipping. Maybe when the deals come later this month they'll have some games or something I can pick up with it. otherwise....ehhh

(yeah i'm a cheap fuck, but I don't think any of these Jazzware pokemon toys are worth $30+ desu) but yeah really appreciate the heads up. i'm not a huge pokemon collector by any means so coming to 4chan toy and clicking this thread is the extent of the info i get. don't think i've given a fuck about any pokemon figures that came out since Tyranitar and the dogs/beasts so not like i feel a real need to check specific groups lol.

Same. I only paid more for Necrozma aftermarket because the only cheap ones are missing their legs, stand, or both.

>>11613066
>>11613065
Yeah, the Mega also has a fun design for them. Hope they do something with it.

I agree, It's weird we havent got any of them besides KIDS.
>>
>>11611277
People will go crazy for that.
STitch and Angel versions are one of the hotsellers now.
>>
The second wave of blokees figures on aliexpress seem to all be more expensive than their wave 1 counterparts for all sellers. Did they up the "msrp" or is it just a little higher cause they're new? Do you think when a third wave comes out the second wave will be priced like the first? The little more on each kinda adds up when you buy a bunch of them.
>>
>>11613392
I haven't paid attention to the L releases on Ali since I got them cheaper from Gundamit anyways, but the S-ones go on sale regularly.
>>
>>11613392
Yes, the new L wave it's been more expensive if you compare it with how you could get some of the first wave for pennies in the past. Honestly you should wait, blokees produces a shitton of their toys so a discount would surely be there in the future
S class are still cheap tho, yesterdat I got the whole box for $30
>>
>>11613392
I'm guessing now they see they have some "brand name power" while at the start they wanted to get people in the door. But then again everything only gets more expensive as the months go on.
>>
>>11613467
Yea gonna wait a bit. Maybe there'll be some good deals on Black Friday or something around the corner.

This month's updated checklist. This month's new releases included:
-Evolution Multi Pack Eevee #3 (pearly Leafeon and Glaceon)
-Deluxe 2025 Holiday Calendar (pearly Delibird and Lycanroc among others)
-4" Vinyl US Wave 5 (Pichu, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Eevee)
-3" Iridescent Shine 4-pack at Big W is Australia
-Five Below also got a new 2" singles wave so apparently that line isn't dead

-Some Ross stores getting the most recent 3pack wave and the main Battle Pack wave (Diglett, Phanpy, Pidgeotto, Annihilape, etc)
-Metagross is back at Gamestops too

>Pokemon Select
Should I get Flygon, Mewtwo or Tyranitar? I already got Rayquaza. Also meowscarada as pokepla or Blokee?
>>
>>11615279
Flygon or Ttar. They are the only good articulated figures of either of those. The Select Mewtwo isnt too good and there's other options in similar sizes.

>Meowscarada
Depends on what scale you prefer. The Blokees is smaller and will look more out of place with other Jazwares Selects

Is the articulation equal? I know that the Blokees one comes with a whole diorama, which I don't need tho.
>They are the only good articulated figures of either of those.
Really? From the pictures I would have thought MewTwo smockes them on that front. Which Mewtwo do yo think is better? Not the Action Function one, right?
>>
>>11615301
Yeah, the shading throws me off a bit but looks well sized, it's the stand removable?
>>
>>11615310
Seems so going off the other pics on Ali.
What throws me off is how the gold ring is misaligned and the stand height differs from the promo pic.
>>
>>11615303
Jaz Mewtwo has a lot of issues. The bendy tail isn't bendy until about the half way point so it's pretty useless and often hurts the center of balance. The thing lacks some important POA like pivot ankles and good wrists. These issues make it hard to stand on its own but the peg hole for the base is drilled in incorrectly so it's awkward to get the base in there.

The 5.5" Tomy one has less articulation, but nearly the same range in many areas since the Jaz joints are so bad in some areas.
>>
>>11613288
Falinks-Crotch has a hard life.
>>
>>11615301
Eh, ordered one along with a small Voltorb for the free choice shipping.

Can't say anything of the other two, but Flygon if he isn't price gorged
>>
>>11615279
Flygon is good.
Mewtwo is bad. It not only looks wrong because of wide head, it also lacks in articulation.
Tyranitar is as best as you can get.
>>
>>11615344
I think it's standing on the wrong angle, and that it only attaches by a slot for its feet
>>
>>11615310
>>11615344
Yeah I have that Starmie and the stand is removable. Probably why the gold ring looks wonky, is they often have her standing on the wrong fin. I do love it, but I wish it was painted in the FLRG colour scheme like in my scale world one
>>
Now that you all are talking about starmie, an actual articulated mega starmie figure would be so much fun, only "silly" mega I've liked so far since it's basically just starmie but stupid

>>
>>11616703
Like >>11616789 said, unless its a large rubbery figure with a bendy wire inside it like Gumby, how could you articulate Mega Starmie? The wide limb shapes and raised center point make any kind of articulation for the shoulders and hips impossible

>>11616934
I get the feeling you collect so few toys because of your inability to conceive an articulated starfish. It would even look better than penis-hands patrick since Mega Starmie won't need interchangeable hands
Some people here seem to only imagine things being possible when the figure does exactly what the character does 100% lol meanwhile we been having 20 years of mewtwos and Pikachus that can't even pose their tails properly
Stop being so bitchy about wishful thinking what the fuck
>>
>>11616948
Show us a figure, any figure, with limbs shaped like Mega Starmie's that has swivel hinges like that Super 7 Patrick Star figure. Like the post above you said, the shape of the Starmie limbs prevents them from functioning as swivels, and that raised ridge down the center of the limbs makes both swiveling and hinging difficult.

That's just a fat dude tho
>>
>>11616948
That's a horrible example. The fact you chose that as something you thought was a good example just because he's a humanoid starfish is actually hilarious!

Patrick just has rather rounded limbs like so many other action figures. The ppl were saying that the flat and wide shape of Starmie's limbs is what makes it impossible to articulate and I'd agree. It's yet another case of a design that only really works as a plush.
>>
>>11616703

According to MFC, yes
>>
>>11617842
One wave is coming out in November. However, they still haven't announced the next wave for pre-order, which is due to be released in three months, as they often do well in advance. It's strange that they're taking so long

Yes, Vikavolt has a single bandai kids toy and it's pretty hard to find
>>
>>11617938
There's also some tiny candy toy figure, like 1 inch max. I have it because it was cheap and I wanted a Vikavolt.

Speaking of Kids-only, I want an Avalugg figure. It's been 13 years. Doesn't even need to be in scale, could be a moncolle for all I care.

the calendar sets have always been the shitty glossy paint. Ever since they started back in 2017 or whenever. The black box evolution sets stupidly have the glossy paint too which kills my interest in them too

>>11618885
They are, but with a glossy finish. The finish is hit or miss, because they trap in any imperfections that you could typically fix with alcohol or a magic eraser. However, I got my wife the newest Halloween calendar and every single one looks perfect with a nicely applied finish. Hopefully that's a sign they're trying harder with them.
>>
>>11619996
the newer figs are not made in china anymore and most have been getting much better paint jobs since then
>>
>>11619996
Rotom for some reason in the halloween calendar has extremely derpy eyes. I don't know what happened to it there.

The rest of the figures don't look too bad from what i've seen though.

Its nice Blokees is so cheap. I loved Jazwares Charizard but felt like it was missing something and was a little to tall. This is absolutely perfect and even has the translucent fire the figurearts had.

Just realizing that Ali starmie is prettty much a cheap copy of a resin studio figure sold also on ali but at $70 lol, honestly not bat at all I would even say that the copy probably fits much better with regular pkm toys since it doesn't have the shading nor the traslucent gem of the "original"
Funny how the quality it's way ahead of jazwares while also being the cheap copy of a bootleg figure. Great figure

I have him mint unopened, just sitting on my shelf since he released as I actually don't care; he's too weird of a design for my display and I only bought him because he's a Pokémon figma. I do agree that he kind of killed the line. I know statistically he was very popular with Japanese women, but like, they don't buy figma - they buy keychains and stationery merch.
