It's piss easy, takes all of 20 minutes to assemble and program, and provides you the functionality of having any other vpet to connect with. They're kind of essential nowadays imo for anyone with a Digimon vpet. Also you can use it to play W0rld which is cool.

>>11615466A few things, but mostly how quickly your tama's mood and food bars drain. On the Paradise, it can take hours for them to be completely depleted depending on their stage in life. There's been times where I've forgotten my Paradise at home before I go to work, and I come back and he's only at 1/6 on the food levels. Overall it seems the device is made to be more of a "there when you want it" kind of thing, as opposed to demanding your attention or face Total Tama Death. Of course, tamas on the Paradise can still die. It just takes a long time and you have many chances to correct it before it actually does die.

Trying to restore an old Digimon pendulum, what's a good product if I want to remove scratches from the plastic shell? I don't know much about scratch removal for these sort of materials.
One of my favorite passtimes recently has been going on zenintcg and seething at the digimon vpet prices. Today I found a good way to enhance it is to compare them to the tamagotchi prices and seething even harder.

>>11623841Did you ever play with the Connection series? If not, I’d recommend that above almost all modern tamagotchis. They did a rerelease recently, so it’s quite inexpensive. The connections are more fully featured and engaging while keeping a lot of the charm and simplicity of the originals in tact. If you’re into tamagotchis because of nostalgia at all, this’ll serve you way better than anything with colour and a backlit screen.But if you want something quite modern, I’d go for the paradise. It doesn’t have the odd, highly anthropomorphized quality of the other modern pets.

I love the idea of vpets, but in practice I find them too shallow/casual and get bored after a week. I want like, 5 different ways to train my digimon to raise their stats, a bunch of different foods to manage their diet, and a more involved battle system, but that's just not what Bandai or the fanbase wants.

Detailed sprites, more stats than just a general power stat, ect. Basically a new generation of vpets that bring things closer to a digimon world game, but still a simpler and compact experience.One idea I had was that the digimon would be able to know a couple moves it could learn for battle, and you get different moves based on your evolution path. So if you want to raise your MetalGreymon to have a water move and a dark move then you’d go from Betamon to Devimon to MetalGreymon and carry over those moves. Then if you get a traited egg the reward could be that you carry over a move from the digimon who died to the new baby, or you could send it to another device and hatch a digimon from that roster with a move from the other roster. For battles you could either have a simple turn based system, or you could have them play out automatically like they do now with different moves triggering randomly.

Once I'm done with the X3 I'll probably get started on Pendulum Zs but while I know they're essentially Xs but Pendulums I'm not much of a fan of the level 7s found on them or rather I'm not a fan of how much they overlap between devices compared to the Xs of the same wave, I'll probably stop at Megas for most of them since those are pretty varied. I'm looking forward to the Shambala Pendulums coming out next month, the QoL features it carried over from the godzilla vpet as well as minor stuff like Digimon with burst modes/mode changes undergoing them when they fight will be neat to see.

I hadn't noticed but it seems the background paper slips of JP vpets do seem to pop out more compared to their western equivalents. Like I'm looking at a JP X2 next to a US X2 and I can clearly make out the vortex for the JP moreso than the US one. I only noticed because I was swapping out some backgrounds and noticed the two next to each other.
You know, considering how the whole point of digimon is to fight with your friends, you’d think there’d be a bit more to winning than just raising the one with the highest power on your device. Like you’d think by now they’d have added more ways to alter your digimon’s battle performance through training or something like that. I’m not saying it needs full on EV training from pokemon, but something to give your guy its own unique edge. And maybe there should be some niche reason you’d want to use something random like Rafflesimon to battle instead of just whatever jogress mega+ level you can get.
