TQ: If you could create a while new faction (good guys or bad guys!) for MOTU what would it be?

First time making a general. Sorry if I screwed it up, I tried updating all the information in the last general, and adding anything I could find.

Hell yeah.
Axel bruan needs to get in on this.
>>
This should be a good week...not only should we be getting the official reveal images for the Club Grayskull figure that goes on sale on the 18th, but "Sword of Flaws #2" goes on sale on the 19th so we should get the preview of that too, shouldn't we?
We'll have lots to talk about

Also, do you think they'll announce the next batch of MC figures before Christmas? After this Dec 9th sale, we'll be all caught up, and we know the retail offerings for the beginning of 2026, but nothing about the first MC releases for next year

Maybe a do-gooder line of knights that mean well, but do bad things on occasions because they override morals with rules? Ans they all have a knight motif but its also based around warriors? And they have a knights of the roundtable sort of thing going?
>>11620164
I love the female demon head motif they went with

The point is "we need something cheap with lots of reuse that we can bilk the paypiggies with"
Now they can save both Eldor and GBW for next year to force you to renew your membership, knowing you'll pay it because you don't wanna miss Eldor, do you?

it's $10 so not a big deal, a mcchicken is $3 so I am willing to give up 3.3333 mcchickens a year to get access to new OC motu figs. I buy 3 and resell them to nonmembers for $10 the price I paid for plus shipping on ebay.

But I don't think I could have possibly predicted anything as shit as fucking Red Shadow out of the gate.

Given that Mattel gets the DC license back next year, we have discussed the potential for cross-over, the question I have is would you want the DC heroes to lean savage or technological in their armour? Or a mix? Like a barbarian Superman, and a sci-fi Batman. Me personally, not matter what happens I just really want Batman in armour akin to this. Which is from the Total Justice line (great figures) and I think draws inspiration from the armour Bats wears in the Batman vs. Predator comic. Which goddamn imagine a Predator crossover, that'd be something.

A couple showed up in Classics minicomics, but otherwise nowhere outside of Axel's concept art for planned Classics figures that never saw the light of day.
>>
>>11621649
Most of them either started in Origins or got concept art in CLassics but were never made.Maybe they were mentioned in Classics bios and few appeared in Classics minicomics.

Because point of pars reuse is saving time and money and getting licence to use Fuerza-T would be counterproductive to that.
Yet another shit we'll never see again because likely profit doesn't justify effort so companies dont care. Why get rights to an obscure fan-favorite when you can use popular characters you already own or just make new ones?

>>11621649
I brought this up to some of the Mattel team at SDCC. It’s the grayest of areas. Mattel sued them to stop making them back in the day. It’s been long enough but they’re not going to go and make it themselves now is a bad look. If they were to make them at all, they’d have to be called something else. Or they might have to be called a variant such as Havok Powered Clawful, Avian Power Webstor, Power Sword Mer-Man or Wasteland Fisto. No one has legal expertise but they weren’t sure if it would undo anything from the lawsuit or open them to be countersued. Top Toys probably wouldn’t care but they could also try something since they are technically working on a reboot and cartoon for Fuerza T. That said it’s been 5-6 years they’ve been working on this.

Axel has drawn them on some box art before but he said to Mattel legal it’s really Clawful, Mer-Man and Webstor standing there.

The one guy did say they’d be the easiest part swap figs they’ve designed.
>>
If they continue PoG next year with the same format as this year, it basically guarantees that, at best, it will be Eldor + two shitters and, at worst, it will be three shitters.
>>
>>11621715
The Filmation people said they created She-Ra.
It's fuzzy when the Barbie division took over toy design. Justine Dantzer, the first PoP toy designer, was told to start with the heroine being Teela's twin sister instead of He-Man's, which predates the work Larry DiTillio is credited by Lou Scheimer and J. Michael Straczynski as doing at Filmation (creating Adam's twin sister, the Sword of Protection, Hordak and the Horde, etc), which would indeed have the Barbie division being where it started.

Axel's ocs confound me because they all seem like pastiches of the existing cast.

I like the idea of preternia and the whole ancient war angle, but alot of the designs are really undercooked.

Well yeah. His role is to be heroic in the past, when they'd established King Hiss comes from.
Wizard heroes work better back then than He-Man types since the story has an established ending that includes magical banishment.

That is my head cannon characterization of He-Ro. He just looks so fucking smug and useless.

This is probably an unpopular opinion but I think all the Preternia stuff is half baked and never went into production in the 80s for good reason. He-Ro and Eldor make sense to bring back out of the mothballs more for their infamy as lost characters, than the strength of the design.
But they failed to launch back then, and now this concept of Preternia is supposed to be the rocket fuel for all these other characters....but they more boringer than the "A Lister." Yeeesh.

Right now my current Motu want list is
>Snake Clamp Champ once he hits clearance
>Skell Ra once the scalper bring him up here to leaf land
>Sketch SyKlone once the scalpers are selling him up here
That's bad for Mattel. This is coming from someone who was buying litteraly everything despite the shipping costs or the scalper taxes. you could say my enthusiam has been struck by the Diamond ray of Disappearance.

Aren’t these part of those Crybaby.org bios? I know there was a while were a few of them were doing them and they were ok’d by Mattel but who knows if those people are still there.

I thought this new team was trying to make their own canon. They changed Wun-Dar as being pretty much the Oo-Lar til he got the armor in the comic. Plasmar was shown to be in Preternia in his card art. He-Ro was back to being Grey til he met Eldor. Sharella was the trainer of He-Ro. It seems like they’re going back to the old story instead of the Nutlick trash. Kudos to the team for trying to do better.

Is it wrong to want Gladiator and Bandwidth?
>>
>>11622149
I do like Bandwidth. He feels like something that would have come out in the later era and his techy design fits with Rio Blast and Dragstor. His ye olde wireless radio inspiration also fits with Fearless Photog as another type of analog technology in figure form.
I'm not really a fan of Gladiator. His techy design fits in with that era of figures, but he kind of feels half baked, like there was no thought as to what his purpose is. But both are preferable to Red Shadow.
>>
>>11621820
Well the difference is that I don't think Olmec Toys is in business anymore, so the license was probably dirt cheap, as opposed to Top Toys who are still around

The Plasmar one is his official Classics bio from his boxart
(But I will concede that it was during Super7 years, and Super7 had hired two .Org fanfic writers to do bios, but it was still the bio of the official release)

>Plasmar was shown to be in Preternia in his card art

I think you mean Lord Grasp's...and Lord Grasp is also shown to be a current year character rather than a PoG character in his minicomic and the Snake Mountain box despite Megator being on his card art.

And just for the record, I'm not saying you're definitely wrong, Plasmar could wind up Preternian, but I don't think we have anything strong enough to go on to make that claim.
>>
>>11622317
I like Scott. His lorefagging was cringe but the guy did a great job with Classics in general. You can just turn the box over and not read the bios.

As for Specter himself, I dont like nerds who try and police what's "real" Motu or not. We already had ninjas, time travel, and by the later waves Motu had already lost the shared parts aesthetics. Anyone hating on MS for that is just being bitter they didn't to make Motu toys.

>>
>>11622835
>people who saw the film said it's "amazing".
>Take that for whatever you think it's worth
I've said it before and I'll say it again. I think it's really important that we go in with the mind set to judge the film by its own merits. Not go in expecting a perfect translation of the Filmation cartoon, or 200X, or CGI, or the Mini-comics. Just decide is it a good film that manages to capture the essence of MOTU.
>>
>>11622447
I can deal with the lore-fagging, I think it's actually admirable to try and make every single part of the franchise work together so it's all canon (like how Grant Morrison managed to make Batman of Zurr-En-Arrh modern canon). What bugs me is how Scott carries himself as being the final word on MOTU, and also that he was the reason MOTUC never went to general retail because Scott convinced the higher ups that the brand wouldn't work. Regardless of whether he was right, MOTUC being a Matty Collector only line meant that the whole series became really difficult to collect and are now stupidly expensive.

As for the Might Spector, I don't fault the guy for wanting to put himself into MOTU in some way, and when he put his face on the Eternian Guard that's cool, that's the kind of fun trivia where someone would say "oh and they based the facesculpt on the guy running the line" and you'd think "well good for him", but the fact that he shoe-horned his donut steel into MOTU and then made him one of those "you never see them, but this guy is actually one of the most important characters in the whole lore" is odious, and it's not the first time he did it too, he tried shoving it into Hot Wheels as well.

All that said, despite the impression writing all this out may give, Scott and Spector don't occupy all that much real-estate in my brain, it's a tiny little footnote in the giant tome of MOTU. I just don't think Spector should exist outside of MOTUC, and sure as shit shouldn't get an Origins figure given how Scott seemed to be almost pushing for Origins to fail.
>>
>>11622911

Maybe the message board is a really good community but my guy tells me it would be toyfag autistism (myself included) mixed with more moderation beause its the Offical board. Doesn't sound like a place where one could sperg about their head cannon connecting the Galaxy Hole to Brave Starr.

Didn't Scooter say that his face on the guard's body was the Horsemens' idea and that he was surprised as well?

I don't defend any of his creative ideas. He seems like a good guy, passionate about his toys for sure. And I think that he had heart to steer the Motu brand when it was dormant. We could debate if it should have been a collector line or not...but with the way Mattel bungled Origins and its now mostly online anyways leaves us in the same position.

As for why I want the Spector in Origins...honestly it comes from the same place as being OK with He-Ro and Eldor even if I don't love the designs. They are infamous in Motu history. And I think that weird in jokes like that are good fodder for an online collector only release.

No he sucked and so does Spector. It's just a lazy purple Deadpool knockoff from his own childhood drawing that he decided to include in what was supposed to be an OC designer series for guest artists/fans. If you like Spector for some reason I don't understand that's obviously fine, to each their own, but there are perfectly legitimate criticisms of both Scott's management of the brand and his creative contributions that aren't just bitter jealousy.

>he had heart to steer the Motu brand when it was dormant. We could debate if it should have been a collector line or not
On this though I emphatically disagree, sure MOTUC could have been intended for an adult fanbase, but it absolutely should have been on store shelves, even if those shelves were only in places like comic stores.
>...but with the way Mattel bungled Origins and its now mostly online anyways leaves us in the same position.
In what way has Mattel bungled Origins? Legitimately, because to me the line has been pretty successful, it just sucks that whole toy industry is in shit right now because the intended market of children under 12 are more interested in phones and video games. Adults buying for themselves have become the primary toy purchasers.
>>

If he's to believed, making Photog wasn't his idea. They were planning 6 new characters, 2 from contests and other 4 were going to be made by some big names. Thing is no one except for Geoff Johns wanted to do it. No interest, no time and most importantly, not for free. And since they wanted them to be passion projects (and you know, not pay) eventually they just picked people working on MOTU to come up with Draego-Man and Cy-Chop and of course, Spector. And Scott apparently got idea from Geoff to just use character you made up as kid.

Very faithful to TOYS, right down to the weapons and vehicles

Dunno if I buy it, we've seen Teela and she doesn't seem very toy-accurate, but we'll see I guess.

Honestly, most of the Filmation stuff I can kinda dig, or just ignore, but the one thing I genuinely loathe is them turning Battle Cat into Cringer. It's not endearing, it's not funny, it's just a shitty hold-over from 60s/70s era animation that was trying to rip-off Hanna-Barbera with the cowardly/bumbling mascot character.
The CGI series did something good with the name, but I still hate it.
Also holy shit this art and that face. What is this from?

Not gonna deny that it's frustrating just hearing reactions with no details, but everyone that has seen the test screenings is probably NDA'd out the wazoo. So they can give a reaction but can't say anything they saw, because if one of them says "oh man, Skeletor has this great line where he says [...]" and then that line gets cut for whatever reason then some asshole is gonna try suing for false advertising. Which has no merit, but it's still a hassle for the legal team.

I don't know what they were thinking. Why update the line if you're not even going to upgrade the articulation like Origins? The license can't be that expensive, who knows maybe Mattel will make their own Origins versions someday.

Imagine messing with Dragstor's sick cyborg helmet by replacing parts with tusks of all things.

At least with Roboto I could throw away the pointless extra face plate. Fuck!
>>
>>11624713
They already had to mod the designs after initial reveal because they were too close to the unreleased MOTU designs. They prefer vintage style and it was cheaper than doing modern updates. Likely after the first visit from the mattel IP enforcement lawyers they feared being even more direct competition with mattel's lines by switching from retro to modern articulation

More info from test screenings, they were positive:

On the source of this information :
>"My source was a mega fan. A mega fan from being a child and they were pretty much looking forward to seeing this movie. They were very much looking forward to what Travis Knight could deliver."

On the comedy in the “Masters of the Universe”:
>"-they just said categorially the movie is pretty entertaining but it leans very heavy into the comedy. So I guess in the atmosphere in everything being dark and dower, that might be a shock to some people. But it's very entertaining. Very comedic. They lean very heavy into the comedy factor, which I quite like the sound of that. I think that sounds pretty cool to be fair. It leans very heavy into comedy. There is a lot of humor in this movie resulting in the tone feeling much lighter than expected."

On the emotion in “Masters of the Universe”:
>"The movie does have plenty of heart."

On the film’s action:
>"There is a lot of action in this movie. Not only that. There is very impressive fight choreography apparently." "The sword choreography is fantastic."

On the Movie’s Designs (Character and More):
>"Character designs? Very faithful to the toys. Very faithful to the toys, right down to the weapons and the vehicles" "It feels like a true cinematic translation of the original designs, from the costumes to the sets"

On Prince Adam being on Earth:
>"There is a satisfying reason why (Adam) is on Earth. What I know of it, it's not a massively contrived reason for him being on Earth." "There are some very comedic elements about his earthly lifestyle."

On Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man:

On references to Highlander:
>"There's also a few references to the movie Highlander, apparently, including an action sequence set to Queen's "Princes of the Universe".

On the film’s Easter Eggs:
>"There's ton of easter eggs for fans including references to internet memes."

On the entire audience’s reaction to “Masters of the Universe:
>"Basically my source really enjoyed the film. Judging by the reception of everyone else, so this is important, it was received like really positively. Pretty much everyone at the screening liked it."
It's basicallly potential to be a massive hit. The crowd seemed to love it."

>>
>>11624830
Defend your position.
I put it to you that Cringer being a cowardly character used for comic relief comes across more as annoying than entertaining (though this is an issue with a lot of cartoons from that era), it also doesn't add to Battle Cat because the courage comes from being magically imbued, not through genuine character growth. Now a lot of this is because of the format, He-Man was designed to be syndicated and extremely episode, so character growth is basically non-existent in the original series. But that also means that Cringer never improves, it's literally just the same joke for every episode. I also maintain that making Cringer/Battlecat talk at all was a mistake, but that's a separate issue.
Now all the being said the CGI series actually does something interesting with the character. Having the name Cringer be an insult given to him by R'Qazz, that he instead wears as a title of defiance is far more interesting. The CGI series actually manages to take basically every element introduced in the Filmation series that I hate, and make it work.
>>
>>11624818
If they're referencing memes, and if Leto is channeling Frank N Furter, there is a real possibility Skeletor will tell Beast Man to take his drawers off and work his legs, open his ass up like a keg

No franchise can survive without attracting new fans, what's important is that the new fans adapt to MOTU, and not try changing MOTU to fit them. So long as the folks in charge keep things true it'll be fine. Everyone has to start somewhere, not everyone can start in the 80s watching He-Man on TV.
We just have to gently correct any new fans that might say something stupid like "Revelation is probably the best version of He-Man."

So obviously my main priority as a collector is the figures. But I wish Mattel did more variety with their MOTU stuff in the way Toei does with Dragon Ball. I can go and get DB figures in all shapes and sizes, but they also do model kits, either the non-articulated Entry Grade stuff or Figure-rise Standard that can be posed, or there's the Banpresto stuff which is REALLY well painted, and yet doesn't. I can go and get a really nice mid-size statue that costs about 40 AUD (around 30 in USD). Where is all that stuff? These are un-tapped markets. Maybe I want a statue but don't want to pay for the Iron studio which cost 300 bucks, or the friggin Sideshow statues that cost almost three fucking grand.

Apparently there is a battle scene in the movie and there are so many characters from the toyline, many unexpected that could create their own toyline in it, someone said "everyone is in it in some way, it's like they know this is their only chance ever for a big budget MotU film, so everyone is in it".

He said it was due to that red stripe on his head and back. He imagined if it had been a vintage action feature it would be a color change like Hot Wheels where you splash hot or cold water on it or like vintage Joe Zartan where sunlight makes the stripe appear. Basically some of that 80s color change magic.

I think a lot of those will be rolled into different subsets

The movie trio will probably be rolled into something for the movie. There’s been teasing of Karg and the movie trooper so they might join the party.

The giants would be rolled into Powers of Grayskull.

The laser power ones could be standalone. They could get rolled into the movie or they could wind up in Powers of Grayskull. I think nutlicker said they were part of those last mini comic details that never got produced.

That leaves just those Spinner fucks, Two Bad, Blast Attak who would be soon since his parts are done, Stonedar who probably will be dragged out on Creations.

I honestly don't want that.
I want them sold on the same type of card as all the rest of the vintage line like they were in the 80s just for the sake of consistency. I don't care if they save them for 2027 and say they're celebrating the movies anniversary, but don't do a rebrand for them to go with that.
Karg and the movie troops can either go on the same regular vintage card or go in Sketchbook Series since they'd technically fit there as they had unproduced vintage toy concept art

Since those 3 were on red cards they should just have the sticker on the front. Hopefully they don’t make a movie type card if they make more figures.

This was a drawing of the vintage Stormtrooper. Looked like it got far in the concept stage.

He-Ro and Eldor
Strobo and his cheap repaint friends
And Karg and the Storm Troopers

>>11625725
This isn't speculation, that's coming from Funko themselves warning their investors that sales have been declining to the point where they may not continue after 2026.
Speaking to retail staff myself, sales have been weakening given the rising cost of the Pops themselves, and theft is up.
>>
Might as well post the Karg pics too

I guess where Blade had spring load arms, Saurod had sparks, and Storm Trooper would've had elbow and knee articulation as it's "feature", real hair would've been Karg's

This is what I really want from Origins. Not endless variations of the main cast. Not lazy "new" characters. But taking stuff that already exists in Motu lore and making a 5.5" version of it.

>>11626524
answer: trademark mattel incompetence. they overproduced the fuck out of it.
this seemingly was a reactionary decision made around 2020-2021, when covid (and some stimulus checks) caused a surge in consumer spending. this made mattel think it would be a good idea to make a few thousand excess Jitsus. this killed origins at retail and lead to the cartoon collection.
>>
>>11626556
also it probably hurt a lot of retailer's perception of MOTU. when asked about this wave shelf warming for YEARS and new product pretty much being a BBTS exclusive, the origins team could only say they were"waiting for old stock to be cleared out" before any new stuff could end up in stores.
Meanwhile, retailers who I had never even seen carry origins figures before randomly started having the jitsu wave. And they would sit there and rot, too. Clearance or not.
My local reseller toy store eventually had to just give theirs away with any purchase, which is funny when that same store had originally been scalping these figures when they first came out. The MOTU section at retail stores was big back then too- and these guys would get cleared out often. I know this because I used to check my local target and walmart almost every day.
I'm very thankful this wave was seemingly all cleared off of shelves and taken to a landfill, because they were still there well into 2024 with packaging glue giving out.

I wonder how much you can blame on the colorist
Because the artist is the same guy that did the Thundercats crossover and I don't recall seeing people say the art was shit in that, but it had a noticeably darker palette, so I guess it could be the new colorist spoiling the art...or maybe the old artist was enhancing it and hiding its flaws before and Williams was always bad but fewer people noticed back then?

I wonder if you can apply that to Karg and can we assume that vintage figure Karg would've been blonde, green faced and blue armored instead of having his movie colors, since that's what they used in the magazine? Maybe they were told those were the colors to use?

Mega Jay Retro and Toy Habits interview someone who attended the LA test screening this week who they dub as Mr MOTU. He shares how he attended the screening, his experience getting in and the audience along with some new details!

>Some of the details I thought worth mentioning: The first act of the film begins on Eternia and you get to see it all in its wonder and splendor. Some big battle occurs and you basically get what seems like the entire roster of Heroic and Evil Warriors from the vintage toy line involved including Spikor. He compared seeing Eternia to seeing Coruscant in all its glory in Episode 1 as a huge Star Wars fan. -Earth is a necessary step, he feels like it serves its purpose and then when that story is done it goes back to Eternia for the rest of the film. -We see Cringer and also get Battle Cat! -Kristen Wiig is great as Roboto. Idris Elba is also a stand out as Duncan aka Man At Arms. There's obviously "The Hero's Journey " for Adam/He-Man but Duncan like the rest all have their arcs that were pulled off well.

>Talks about how Nicholas was and looked great as He-Man. -Talks a little about the battle between He-Man and Skeletor like it felt like the hits with the Havoc Staff and Power Sword were the actors giving it their all, like really wailing on the weapons hard and the action was great. -Again compares it in tone to the first Guardians of the Galaxy and Thor: Ragnarok along with a ton of heart. -A lot of FX work was missing but because they filmed on location and built sets they didn't need to use their imagination too much. The sets for Castle Grayskull and Snake Mountain were HUGE! Skeletor has his bone throne from the Filmation cartoon.

>The pacing felt great. Film seemed around the 2 hour mark and the only nitpick or criticism he had was the ending, otherwise he loved the film! -Obviously it sets up for a sequel....
>>
>>11626813
>He gives a quick story of going up to the films producer and telling them that they really need tk change the MGM title logo to be Cringer roaring instead of the usual lion to really grab the fans and audience. The producer loved the idea and said they were gonna do it!

Strobo did, he appeared in that magazine comic. The only other one I heard was Errol McCarthy who drew most of the cardbacks (along with a lot of Wheeled Warrior art) was told the new ninja guy was going to be white as an opposite to Ninjor. Everything else was made up by the HM.Org community Super 7 was using as their bio/story group.

I had a thought
I've seen people suggest "we get 3 vintage a year on MC, so next year has to be Two Bad, Stonedar, Blast Attak, year after has to be movie", you know the spiel.

But they never factor in that we actually get a FOURTH as a fan channel exclusive.
Like last year we got Rokkon, Sy-klone, Extendar + Modulok just before Christmas
This year Rio Blast, H Hordak and presumably Dragstor in Dec + Multi-Bot is tricking out now
So even if the Two-Bad/Stonedar/Blast-Attak guess is right, if we follow the same pattern, there should be one more.
Maybe Two Bad will be a late year fan channel exclusive around next Christmas and we get one of the Zoids or movie guys next year on MC
>>
>>11628382
Honestly, if they want to make Two-bad a fan channel exclusive, I'd rather the remaining MC exclusive slot went to something like Mantisaur. No point in releasing a movie figure a year before the Anniversary, and I honestly think the Zoids will be released as a pair simultaneously but on seperate cards. Those and the Laser guys have the legacy of being the very last regular figures in the vintage line, and I think Mattel will want to use them to close out vintage Origins.
>>
>>11628390
>point in releasing a movie figure a year before the Anniversary,

You say that, but let's say Gwildor is an MC Dec exclusive, very few are getting him before 2027 anyway. And besides, didnt Cartoon She-Ra come out in late 2024, ahead of her official anniversary year? As long as it's late 2026, I see no issue in releasing a movie guy a little before the year-of

$47 USD, same as their Conan.

>are they doing other characters or is it kind of a one off thing?
It's part of the Immortal Champions line, so no dedicated Hellboy subline, but if I were to hazard a guess, they're probably just planning to do Hellboy now because he's the most recognisable character and his supporting cast isn't 100% necessary to most people. But who knows if he sells well and the line does decent numbers, maybe we'll get an Abe Sapian?

The current members you're blocking if they already bought 3, and most non-members are probably NOT gonna say "oh, hey, I'll spend $10 on a membership to save $10 on He-Ro"

I've seen that some members are salty about it though and think member exclusive items should never go on sale because they paid full price and hate the idea that any potential new members will get them cheaper

All that said, these sales have me seriously considering NOT buying Dragstor next month and waiting until he and Stingor eventually go on sale before I buy them.

A frequent complaint I see around is that Mattel can't get He-Man's face right (mainly levelled at Masterverse) and there definitely some ugly He-Man's out there. But it got me thinking, what SHOULD He-Man look like? What is your ideal version? Should he be young or old? Handsome or grizzled? Pretty? Angry? Happy? Blonde? Ginger? Do you want choppy windswept hair or the page boy? Have they made the perfect He-Man for you already?

Young, handsome, blond. Any emotion is fine, from kind Filmation smile to angry savage.

It's more for the novelty and sculpt quality but I really wanted the notConan notHeman hybrid from Mythic Legions but it was too hard to get. Almost ye olden days of Matty collector hard.

I hate how the sculptors at mattel all want to leave their mark and made the Masterverse version into a turtle. The fuck were they thinking?
>>
>>11631020
The masterverse boxarts were perfect looks for heman. Mattel just hired shitty sculptors from fiverr for the figures.

It's a tank. And it's on his head. I can't put into words why my unga lunga caveman loves it so much but that might explain it exactly. I want an origins version that is just 100% accurate to the prototype so bad. But if its not I'd still buy it. I missed out on both versions. I mean I guess I could just find the model kit he used.

I also love Dino Tank from Ultraman.
Heavy Tank from Final Fanfasy 7
Tankmon and Tankdramon from Digimon
The dinosaur tank glitch from that one episode of Reboot
Tank dudes from Power Lords

Theres something about the most primitive things in the world like dinosaurs and barbarians fused into tanks that speaks to me on an unconscious primitive level. Now if only someone would mix all 3 it would be the most perfect being in existence.

Wait I think I can explain it. It's something deep and archetypical. Like all the anger and fury you ever have goes back to the memory of being a caveman beating the shit out eachother like barbarians. And WWII is the most iconic example most of us have of the fury of war. And that's grafted directly to the source of that rage
Your brain. All your barberian rage and hate is coming of your fucking face through a tank cannon. It's amazing. You scream and your battle cry is tank bullets.

I also love the blend of tech and magic and they dont touch on modern tech much in Heman if at all. And I love biomechanic designs so much.

Yeah I hated that too. I think the idea was that it was an Eternian tank made into armour. But I don't know which one and it was stupid.

I understand not wanting to get sued by Disney for using Boba Fetts design for the other armour but still I'm sure they could get away with it now with some adjustments like Vile in Megaman X

I need to 3d print something like this for an origins custom. Tank-centaur does it for me.
