I know they are Muppets and specially for count von count, counting with his finger is his thing but I really wish they give people both set of pair of hands like with transformers

>>11622493....Sesame Street and Children's Television Workshop have been releasing Sesame Street merch since 1971, literally season 3 of the Sesame Street.
>>11622493elmo on the packaging, line dead before it even launched
>>11622493I never grew up with Sesame Street (Bri'ish) but Burialgoods' narrations of various Bertstrips give me enough laughter I might have to get at least Grover, Kermit and Cookie Monster.>>11626409I'm sorry, what?
>>11629631>I'm sorry, what?To put it simple, Elmo is the Urkel of Sesame StreetFor the first 15 years or so of Sesame Street, the cast was primarily the muppets you see in >>11623229 plus Big Bird and the occasional Kermit appearance. The puppet that would become Elmo was actually made with the intention of just being a generic crowdfiller muppet and would be used like that for years until the mid 80s when Kevin Clash created the Elmo that everyone knows today. The character became so popular that Elmo was shoehorned more and more into the show until eventually getting his own segment that took up half the runtime of full Sesame Street episodes. By the 90s Elmo was the face of the series, and I'm sure you're probably familiar with how Tickle Me Elmo was the biggest toy of 1996 (Against competition like Beast Wars and the Nintendo 64). Elmo is also linked with the shift in Sesame Street being a show "for kids" to a show more specifically for the toddler demographic, with Elmo acting as an identifiable character for kids watching.
>>11622538>AmericHam
>>11629842>admittedly most popular character of the show by far on the packaging >line dead It's neat that you know so much about Elmo but you're contradicting yourself.
