Last Ronin live action canceled, in it's place a new AI Slop Live Action movie in the works. How should they handle it to make it more toyetic and increase sales? More ninja action less teenage action? New or classic mutants instead of humans 80% of the screen time? i personally want Slash as the big bad in live action instead of Shredder again. It was live action. It was a bit dark and gritty. It was pretty faithful to the original comics, combining plot points from various stories and culminating with the confrontation with Shredder from the first issue's climax.

Here they were, all set to do another comic adaptation that was going to be dark and gritty with an R-rating and they cancel it to start an all encompassing "kid friendly" marketing strategy. It's like they hate money.

That being said, a spiritual successor to the 90s movies that focuses on the Utrom, Triceratons, and Fugitron would be cool.

Yeah, I'm not sure if her head is too small or her body is too big, but there's is definitely a proportion issue. Hopefully the head is the same size as Shredder Karai, because I want to swap them. Shredder Karai's head is accurate to the gritty artwork, but it doesn't do it for me.

They are probably halfway through tooling the molds and will need to recoup their expenditure on those, and TMNT is one of their only lines that sells relatively well. naw, the original toys didn't paint in Bebop's knee brace, but they put that in AND even hinged it properly. They were clearly interested in, to some extent, 'fixing' what playmates left out, while still staying true to what they decided on (hence Mondo Gecko not just being reworked to have a different underbelly and spike color).

Marvel Legends Stepford Cuckoo (for the black bob head) and GI Joe Classifies Python Patrol Vypra (for the body)

She scales pretty well with my collection, in this image she's with bst axn's dark leo and super7's bebop, so I'm satisfied with her. (Also pictured is another rudimentary mash up, the gi joe blue ninja with red oni mask plus marvel legend's red hood's... hood to make karai an IDW foot elite bodyguard.)

It's not a perfect custom, but it's also an off the shelf, no complications custom, so... like I said, I'm happy with mine.

I think Konami is different enough that it deserves its own listing. yeah exactly.
due to its prominence, '87 has the largest continuity family, and the most spinoffs that are clearly not in continuity, yet it would not be considered surprising or strange at all to have ANY characters from one of those spinoffs appear in the '87verse or vice versa. Which is sadly something I wish Super7 had decided to pivot to.. Give us playmates styled versions of other 87-adjacent characters. They tried with Karai but they also really didn't try.

And while we're on '87 microverses, there was a -newspaper style comic strip- that ran for years, IIRC done entirely by Laird?
