Why no one talking about this? Coolest shit ever, Power Rangers x Godzilla is insane!
>>
>>11632466
these look dollar store tier
>>
As a die hard lifelong fan of both Godzilla and MMPR, I wish I could be more excited about these, but literally everything about Godzilla vs. MMPR 2 sucked, and sadly that includes the Kaiju Rangers.
>>
>>11632466
i like Godzillas, i like Megazords, but I don't like whatever that is
>>
I agree with all the others here. Of all their funky crossovers, this is the one I like the least. The designs are just not good as basic figures. The super simple sculpts, beyond basic joints, and lack of detailed paint make these look like knock off figures compared to the much cooler art the packaging shows.
>>
>>11632466
Not a fan of the designs, but at least the sculpt are fairly decent for Playmates.
But if getting released means there's a greater chance for pic related to happen, then I hope these sell well.
>>
>>11632511
I will.
>>
Hey, I'm bouncing off the walls here in hopes we get the Zords.

I wonder if the coins are compatible with the Reignition Morpher.
>>
>>11632466
The playmates garbage is pegwarming so hard. Jesus Christ.
>>
>>11632686
Same, my few Targets and two Walmarts haven't sold through the first pegs that got filled up months ago. It's just that kids these days have almost no connection to the Rangers brand and none of the Playmates product was geared toward collectors so most them don't want it either.
>>
Why do these look like fucking bike figures? Don't these guys do the current TMNT toys? Those are least have moved away from simple cut shoulders.
>>
Only good i can see coming out of this is if they play it smart and release a Godzilla that's around the same height as their combined Megazord, and they make it so that Dragonzord can combine with either of them.
>>
>>11632692
Playmates still hasn't figured out the ankle rocker
>>
These looks intentionally worse than the TMNT x Godzilla figures the same company is putting out.
I mean these things are kinda retarded too but they have better articulation and don't seem nearly as restricted.
>>

>>
>>11632729

Different subject. Regardless of a toy's quality, shelfwarming is locational. What sells like hotcakes in one state or city might rot for months in another.
>>
>>11632730
>shelfwarming is locational.
Nope. It's a fact of the matter that the line is pegwarming everywhere.
>>
>>11632731

And if an Anon says that they toys are selling out at his store, it means "everywhere" is not the case. Man, you'd have a conniption if you were a Transformers fan.
>>

On another Power Rangers note, the Prime comic ends with issue 16. Wonder what they'll do next.
>>
>>11632759
Will they do anything at all? Seems like Hasbro's interest in the IP is at rock bottom.
>>
>>11632707
Fuck yeah kaiju coins
>>
>>11632897
Boom, not Hasbro. Hasbro doesn't care as long as the licensing checks clear.

Its kinda weird how these Kaiju Rangers toys only have IDW and not Boom, since they co-published the comic.
>>
>>11632759
The delay between issues as a result of the publisher really killed them. Issue 8 onwards was not available on apps for months and my LCS didn't even get some of the physical issues. Its too bad, I know VR Troopers is wrapping up but that was always a mini. Would have been fun to see an AU Beetlborgs or something.

I got the team so far, so I'll get green and armored red and I imagine they'll make a drakkon too, I'd complain the shield and weapons aren't movieized enough, comparing them to the movie version blasters, but when the source material doesn't exist, it can't really be wrong
>>
>>11632750
There's something about the helmet that doesn't sit right with me for some reason. Maybe it's the absence of the red gem above the visor? I'm not sure.
>>
>>11634821
maybe because it's a bootleg and can't look exactly like the source material, retard
>>
>>11634822

I hate the crest that gets added to modern versions of the GR helmet in all forms, but other than that this is actually a decent interpretation of what the movie version would have looked like.

It's a demonstrable improvement, though like with King Sphinx's nose and mouth, it's pretty ridiculous Hasbro didn't bother to do it themselves.

To make matters worse Goldar was relegated to a six pack in the US, so the villain assortment is only two figures here currently. I understand not wanting to blow your load all at once, but MMPR has no shortage of desirable villains. Pic related would have been an absolute banger of a first wave, and as you said Finster, Scorpina, and 4 monsters would have rounded things out nicely in wave 2.

Sucks you can't enjoy fun toys. They're a spiritual successor to Bandai's 5" Evil Space Aliens, and I love them for that. Being able to finally add Rita to the United Alliance of Evil was a dream come true. Being able to add Rita's Putties, Squatt, Baboo, and King Sphinx to my 5" collection was something I never even dreamed of, because once the main toyline transitioned to 5" it was season 2, and only Goldar was relevant enough to warrant a new figure in that scale. So I would be over the fucking moon to get those final three villain figures from Playmates.

That's a nice fight scene setup, makes me want to finally do the Forever Red one I've been thinking of doing for awhile. That Sprocket looks good too, but I still wish we got LC figures for the royal family. Feels weird to have all the Zeos and Cogs, but zero representation for the main villains of that series.

>>11642173

In Space is my favorite Power Rangers that isn't MMPR, so all the stuff the LC did for it was a big part of what drew me to the line. I should really grab the other Psychos at some point, I picked up the rereleases for Blue and Red thinking they'd do the same for the rest of them eventually. I'm also still mad we never got Darkonda or Darkcliptor.

>>11642425

Space is cold, he needs it to keep him warm and comfy.

>That Sprocket looks good too, but I still wish we got LC figures for the royal family. Feels weird to have all the Zeos and Cogs, but zero representation for the main villains of that series.
The Machine Empire has been oddly fucked in terms of merchandise over the years. None of the Royal Family were made into 5" figures in the Zeo toyline (the only Zordon Era season to not have a main villain figure!), none of them got Lightning Collection figures, and even though the game is still going strong after eight years, Legacy Wars still does not have a single Machine Empire character on the roster. They don't even have Funko Pops (though Power Rangers has been bizarrely underrepresented in Pops in general, which is weird). I don't get it.
>>
>>11642760
Yea it's a mystery some obscure villains from a children's TV show don't get toys

They are kind of the least memorable villains of the Zordon era. Divatox sucks, but everyone still remembers those titties. And, while they make a strong first impression at the start of the series, you really find yourself wishing they could just go back to Rita and Zedd like halfway through. Still, an LC Mondo or even Prince Gasket would have been nice to act as a leader for the cogs.

>>11642748

Thanks, I enjoy putting together throne room style displays for the villains.
>>
>>11642608
>miniatures from Heroes of the Grid

Not action figures by any stretch.
>>
>>11642761
>>11642764
Call them obscure or unmemorable all you want, the Machine Empire are the first real "new villains" of the show and they sent Rita and Zedd running for the hills, so they're definitely notable characters. Not to mention, they're cool-looking robots (perfect for toys), and regardless, the main villain is ALWAYS a character that should get an action figure in a toy line like this. The fact that we never got a "Crown-Spinning King Mondo" or a "Sword-Slashing Gasket" or a "Limb-Popping Louie Kaboom" is objectively INSANE.

>>11642859
>Not action figures by any stretch.
No, I know, but since they're the only way we've gotten the entire MMPR Evil Space Alien crew so far, I feel like they deserve some acknowledgement.
>>
>>11644675
Statueshit deserves no acknowledgement in a list of toys.
>>
>>11645092
Really? Not even these little guys? I played with these all the time when I was a kid.
>>
Toy store/ebay seller in Australia has Baboo listed. Weird that it's just Baboo, but it's progress.

>>
