The Mouse King isn't actually a pre-order, they will ship out within days of being bought and should arrive before Xmas. There's currently some in stock right now at the link the other anon posted, and there will be another refresh next saturday featuring the pin and mug set which already sold out (the pins always go fast).

If you want to see it in hand, Dorklair once again got an early copy to review so you can catch that video here:

Also, an update to anyone who bought Golden Hildr from 5Ktoys, I actually got my second payment notice for her yesterday so they already have her in hand. Check your inboxes and your spam mail folders if you pre-ordered her because she's shipping out now.

I've been preoccupied lately, just coming back to look at what's up for order and preorder yesterday.

That mouse king is an instant order, what a cool figure. SO MANY HEADS, and the bone crown is awesome. I'm surprised we got this instead of more ghosts of Christmas, but it's a welcome surprise.

The fish men are likewise, a lock for me. I can't pass up that huge crab and that manta ray. That imp and walrus man are calling me too. I'm starting to think I may need to look into rehoming some of my earlier MLs or other figures to make room though, I'm sure there's a couple that I could live without, or maybe I'll need to make some display shelf upgrades.

It's so nice it got posted twice!

But yea, I insta ordered the rat and I usually waffle and wane on FO stuff, if I order them at all. But that neck piece with the crazy amount of heads was all I needed to make me want this guy. Even if I don't stick him with the Legions, just having something that absurd on my shelf would be cool enough all on it's own.

I do hope the "surprise gift" is another head of some kind though, would love to make use of both of his looks and an extra head would be all that's needed for that.
>>
>>11637870
This is kind of incredibly cool.
I usually skip the FOs that aren't based on horror stories but this is tempting even if I don't really care about the Nutcracker. The rat king allusion and it just being a skaven/wererat when dressed down makes this a really nice release with a lot of versatility.
Did they say which of the scales he fits into?

>Four Horseman-things make very good toy-figure, yes-yes!
>>
>>11638733
>Did they say which of the scales he fits into?
He's 1.0 scale compatible, and his arms look like they are the same as Mwindajii. He's a bit taller than a 1.0 figure with his crazy neckpiece and digitigrade legs fully extended.
>>
>>11638749
I was hoping for goblin scale but the body being slightly shorter than a 1.0 is fine too. Man that is a cool design. I am kind of talking myself into it.
>>
>>11638733
>>11638749
He's a completely 1.0 compatible figure. His entire upper body comes from the Gnole/Beastman figure that was presaled in the Reign of the Beast wave while his legs are from the Dwarf bodies of the Rising Sons set. The giant collar really adds a lot of height to him though, but the giant rat feet apparently keep him very stable.

Also, all the heads from that collar piece can be removed and fit on 1.0 bodies. Though I feel the newer bodies with the neck hinge will work better then the older solid neck bodies.
>>
>>11638738
Skavens are supposed to be short creatures.
Not mansized.
Pretty shit
>>
>>11638981
He is short. Shorter than a human figure but taller than a dwarf, which is how I remember the miniatures being when I last played WFB as a teenager. Pic related is from the Vermintide wiki, and the figure is easily in that height range.
>>
>>11637870
Mouse King will be my first 4 Horsemen figure. I couldn't resist. It's really really cool.
>>
>>11638981
He's a well-fed skaven. The kind that could be a stormvermin. Not a slave rat.
>>
My Hildr is on her way, looking forward to it. I suppose it's crunch time on whether I want to get Kubla Khan or not. I've committed to some other orders recently so I really shouldn't I suppose. Any of you guys getting him?
>>11638749
Man, every time I see the Ghost of Christmas Past I get a tinge of regret, she looks so cool.
>>
>>11639990
I plan on getting him, as I've gotten all their other IP based releases. Only thing delaying me is deciding if I wanna get one of the snake folk as well. Saw a side by side with the Lemurian buck and it's a radically different build so I'd like to have at least one. Just gotta see the budget by the end of the week after the Mouse King raided it.
>>
>>11640066
>Only thing delaying me is deciding if I wanna get one of the snake folk as well.
Same, this is why I think I'll ultimately pass, I have to get another figure to make the shipping reasonable and I don't really want to I don't think.
>>
>>11639990
>Any of you guys getting him?
I'm trying to stick to 4 figures for this wave because it's $23 international postage for 1 figure, $30 for 3-4 figs, but then a fifth figure bumps it up by another $15.
So it's either 2 of each snake, or Khaaaaaaan plus 3 snakes, and then I need to decide which snake I only get one of. It's a conundrum. Ideally I would get Khan and 3 of each snake to display all of their heads for the reptoid army, but I've got to set a limit for myself.
>>
>>11640517
If it were me, I think I'd get two brown ones and use the fancy black one as the leader/special.
>>
>>11640592
Plus Khan as well of course. If getting just 3 I'd probably just go with one of each.
>>
>>11640517
>>11640592
Yea, I would go with two of the tan ones and use the black one with the awesome snake helmet head as their boss.

But I also wouldn't go too hard on these two, judging by previous releases they'll drop random snake figures in different colors like they did with the Lemurians and seem to be doing with the Barbarians.

Though I really wish they dropped some more "Slate" figures. This is another line that started strong with the cheap army builders but seemed to move away from them over time.

>two brown/tan ones and one black one as leader/boss
That was what I was thinking. The desert one feels more like a trooper, and the black one really does radiate evil boss energy. I was hung up on using both the spiny snake head and the Gorgon head of the black one, but since the snake head is the same sculpt as one of the desert heads, I'm cool with having blackie being in Gorgon mode.
>I also wouldn't go too hard on these two
>they'll drop random snake figures in different colors
I figured they wouldn't limit using the molds to just these two figures and had more planned on the future. But extra heads have this amazing ability to override my common sense.
>I really wish they dropped some more "Slate" figures
I somehow missed the Shadow Slate Lemurian drop, and I've been kicking myself ever since. Really, I would be happy if they kept the main figures from the Kickstarter limited but did another run of the original Slate Lemurian. I only grabbed one during the Kickstarter, and the color turned out so much better than what they advertised.
Though I wouldn't be surprised if they are increasing production numbers on the Slate Pirahnoid. They had that head pack with the 6 alternate heads in the Slate colorway they put up long after the Kickstarter, so that's potentially 6 more Slates that I would buy. That's if they make that head pack available again, because I forgot to preorder it during the PO window and it hasn't gone up anywhere else yet.
Did I mention that extra heads fuck with my common sense?

How big are the ogre scale figures? I am looking for a stand in for a Skyrim giant for my mammoth and her calf. She's 9 inches tall and 14 long so I'm wondering is a normal sized figure or an ogre sized figure would work best with her.

Thank you!
The standard figures are 6 inches, right? So that feels like it knocks the barbarian out of the running because it's both too big for my 1/18 humans but too short for my mammoths. The ogre-scale feels like it's just an inch too tall, but I think I'll live with it. That Kkurzog looks like he could easily hold the mammoth calf in his arms. Do they have a fur coat or something for the ogre-scale figures? I'd want him to look like he belongs in the frozen north, especially since I went with the snow-dusted variants.

On the large end of 6" scale. They are more like 6.5 inches. Bigger than Marvel Legends, but not as big as the average NECA figure.
>Do they have a fur coat or something for the ogre-scale figures?
No ogres that have been released have come with a fur coat yet. There is the Frost Ogre that should be shipping early next year, but he has something more like a polar bear skin draped over his shoulders. There's might be someone that does custom capes that makes one, but I don't know. I know some fabric shops sell the same kind of faux fur 4H use for their figures, so it shouldn't be too hard to make one.

He also comes with a half-giant head so you can go full on Frost Giant with him. I honestly feel that's a way better look then the "frost ogre" and am tempted to grab him based on that alt head.

>>11641868
Zolocon is a convention run by a company called Zoloworld that sell protective toy packaging and have picked up the rights to older MotU knock off lines and similarly styled 5.5" figures. They've been remaking them for the past few years and even created a new "original" line of figures in a similar style. The previous two exclusives, Skullman and Headhunter, are characters from the Warrior Beast line, originally made by Remco back in '83 while the newest guy comes from their original "Realm of the Underworld" series. Funny enough, the original version of this figure featured knock off versions of an old Curse of Spawn Axe and the feather collar piece from one of Stan Winston's Realm of the Claw figures. Guess they wanted to really milk that old "knock off toy" charm with their original stuff.

>>11641902
Oh I very much agree, this guy will fit right in to the Legion of Arethyr, which is good because they need more humans in their ranks. I almost grabbed the new Urzokk just to get his axe, but I'm glad I waited because I like this guy much better. The fact that the con exclusive items are also kind of lame is just icing on the cake to me.
>>
>>11642184
>>11641813
Oh, this guy looks really neat, and I agree that the bearded head looks excellent, especially for what I'm looking for. Will he be available to purchase on their webstore later? Because it looks like pre-orders are sold out on BBTS.
>>
So what time does Mouse King go up again for order again tomorrow. I want to be ready.
>>
>>11642406
honestly? in this economy it's a miracle if you can even get a chunky little preorder in after going for a twofer of a figure
>>
>>11642406
They might get more stock in once these guys actually ship out, but 4H probably won't sell him directly outside of live events. They would rather sell figures through retail partners and don't want to undercut them directly by selling in stock items at lower prices, at least not for the first year or so.

>>11642424
Iirc, 9am edt. But it took the first run almost a week to sell out. Unless you really want that pin, I doubt you'll have to be ready right when it starts. They been pretty safe about not selling out FOs right away the past few drops, and tons of older ones still linger.
>>
>>11642406
He should be available as an in-stock sale at some point after they fulfill the preorders (it might be a brief sale or last for a while since it seems they are stocking larger quantities lately). Retailers typically do the same after the 4H store does, and they may order larger quantities depending on their own business models.
The wave is Ashes of Agbendor.

I'm going to be honest, but I'm really not sure what you're trying to say. But I paid for the mammoths over a year ago during the initial crowdfund in October of 24 so spending $75 on the frost ogre isnt a big deal since I's not like I just dropped $200 on the mammoth cow and calf.

Do the Mythic Legions Accessory Packs come in boxes, the way other company's ship/sell there's? Or is it just a clam shell with the stuff, shrink wrapped inside plastic?

Ordered this as a gift, it arrived and I thought it was weird. Also, trying to figure out how to wrap it up as the present it is, without putting it in a new probably far too big box, for what this is.

I never keep things like clam shells and boxes unless I'm busy - and even then it just last till I get un-busy.
>>
>>11643827
The earlier ones just came in a clamshell in a taped polybag. I think starting with the Necronominus wave they came in a proper box.
>>
>>11643856
Ah, okay thanks. These appear to be older from what I understand.

Ordered from BBTS and I don't want to complain unnecessarily.

Guess I will just need to find a good box for these so I can wrap 'em properly!

I just got mine in hand and he's every bit of fantastic as expected. The new joints all move well and it almost feels like a figure from a different line. He also stands *really* well considering how heavy that giant neck piece is. The massive rat feet and tail give him a surprisingly good balance, making the stand almost unneeded.

That said, messing with the figure, I do have some issues:
-The paint on the fur, especially the tips, seems to be very easy to scratch off. I noticed that the hunched neck piece has a bit that hangs down and rubs against a tuft of back fur, and just that clashing alone started scraping some paint off.
-As for that neck piece, it doesn't really fit well on the body neck ball right out of the box. I haven't tried heating it up just yet, but it feels like the ball is too big for the socket If you want the single headed hunched rat look, you may want to make sure you heat the neck piece first.
-The neck piece DOES fit on the 1.0 older bare torso buck, almost perfectly. Haven't tried it on the newer bare torso, but I'm confident it should work on them as well.
-Each individual mouse head fits well on the base barbell neck of the new body, so even without the hunch you can still get a single headed mouse warrior.
-The mouse heads do NOT fit well on other neck joints I've tried though. Specifically the older, solid neck 1.0s are a no go. The socket is on the back of the head, so unless the neck has that built in joint, the face will just look up.
-But even with figures that have the joint, i.e. Armory Knights, the head is too loose on the ball joint. You could fix this with some slight mods, but it was kind of disappointing it didn't work out the box.

Also the bonus was disappointingly cool. It's a new head, but one for a very specific character that we don't really have a proper body for. The parts exist to make the body though, and while I don't expect it, wouldn't be surprised to see a second FO drop this year,
>>

All of those companies have their own websites.

https://store-horsemen.myshopify.com/

https://savagecrucible.com/

https://www.frazettagirls.com/

https://xesray.com/

https://www.bossfightstudio.com/
Note that Boss Fight have lines in multiple different scales, so double check what you are buying.

Additionally BBTS stocks all of these.
https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/

Xesray are an Asian company, so they are also stocked on sites like Gundamit, Bombusbee and 5kToys that specialise in figures made for the Chinese market. (I will refer to these as the Chinese webstores)
https://gundamit.com/

https://www.bombusbee.net/

https://5ktoys.com/

There are a couple of other companies worth mentioning.
Fish Toys (formerly D20 Studio) mainly specialise in mounts like horses, warpigs and wolves for Mythic Legions scaled figures, thought they are starting to dip their toes into human figures. I don't think they have their own site, but can be found on the Chinese webstores, BBTS, and also HLJ have recently started stocking them.

Metytoyz (formerly Memory Toys) mainly make unlicensed World of Warcraft figures, and can be found on the Chinese webstores and BBTS.

Loose Collector are based in the Philippines and make a variety of figures from more obscure western franchises that fit with the fantasy genre like Lady Death, Hellwitch, Red Sonja, and their Werewolves are especially impressive. They have their own site and are also stocked on BBTS.
https://loosecollector.com/

Finally, Four Horsemen have a list of their approved retailers, and some of them stock figures from these other companies as well.
https://sourcehorsemen.com/about/retailers

This isn't a comprehensive list, so if any other anons want to add to it, go nuts.

So with the Four Horsemen Studios figures, generally they're up for pre-order directly from them first at a lower price for about a month. After their sale ends, BBTS and other Partner Retailers open their Pre-Orders. Retailers generally charge more, but you don't pay up front like you do buying direct from the 4H. But Pre-orders, especially for the newest build figures, can take up to two years to deliver.

The stuff on the 4h Shop now are generally older stock, older wave figures, while the newest releases can only be bought from Retail Partners (like BBTS). The exception is Event Release figures, as those are figures initially sold at live events with some exclusive extra parts and then released again by the 4H directly with said exclusives removed.

Generally, buying direct from the 4H will be the cheapest way to get these figures, as Retail "Sales" just match the 4H's prices. But Retail Partners are the best way to get the newest releases if you didn't pre-order them when they were first revealed.

>>11644687
I had the same idea, but after trying it myself I don't feel it worked as well as planned. It might also be that mine has different pauldrons, but the leather armor didn't really go well with the soldier head. Right now I have the head on my Silver Knight LB, and I feel it works a bit better. But outside of the 4H releasing an actual body for that head, I feel the best option will be the upcoming RPG Paladin figure. It's got the right colors and the right mix of armor and cloth goods that much closer resemble an old Nutcracker figure. At worst, it may need a different belt.

Again, an actual reuse of the Marley body would be way better, but the RPG Paladin is a surprisingly good stand in. Pic related is a simple mock up.

On that note, I got my Hildr in today, haven't busted her out of the box yet, but from what I can see she looks great. The blurb on the back implies there may be a red-headed "Celtic" version released at some point, which would make sense since this is a "gold" version event exclusive release.

>>11645772
The saddle and collar yes, not sure about the reins. I'll have to check later tonight to confirm it, at the very least it doesn't have the full headstall around this face so even if the reins can't be removed they'd at the very least would be easily cut off.
>>
>>11645784
>>11645772
The reigns and bit peg into the sides of the mouth. I think it'll leave a small hole if you remove them but nothing too noticeable
>>
>>11645784
Mine came a day early, feeling a bit too sad today to unbox it either. I had a look at her though and it looks like mine has some mould fuck up on her right braid, which is typical, almost every figure I get has a defect or issue. I had the same thought about the red head version.
>>

>The blurb on the back implies there may be a red-headed "Celtic" version released at some point, which would make sense since this is a "gold" version event exclusive release.
Welp, I did not preorder her because we suspected that, but once she hit the stores in-stock I finally ordered cause I didn't want to play stupid games.
Maybe the changes are meaningful enough to get both eventually? It doesn't appear that the Gold version has been super scarce and it would be awkward to release a figure too similar to one that's already out.

Fuck I wish I mnew this I would have bought it. I'm fucked now right?

If I had to guess, a Celtic version would come with face/body paint, probably different weapons, a different helmet and probably like brown fur or whatever.

You can still grab him and he'll still have the bonus head. Most of the previous Xmas FOs are still up right now, so you could even grab a Santa or a Marley and custom up a decent body for him too. The surprise item is packed with each figure as it's not a limited thing.

....honestly, a Santa with the hood and under skirt removed with some swapped belts and a neck adapter may be a really good body for this head.

>>11646352
The original title is in German and is usually translated to "The Nutcracker and the Mouse King" ("Nussknacker und Mausekönig", which is distinct from the german Rattenkönig) but other adaptations have called him the Rat King since. Seems like either is fine at this point.

>>11646748
I would've liked it more if they included at least two of the toothy heads instead of four of the standard heads. Would've been just enough difference to break up the monotony of expressions.

But I am looking forward to whatever figure reuses these heads.

Ok so I've decided to unbox my Hildr, she looks great (apart from my shitty mould fuck up on one of her braids), her joints are smooth, really nice paint on the armour, but this fucking scabbard is completely sapping my enjoyment. Who the fuck designed this shit, it's insane. The peg hole is small and soft, it feels like it is going to tear super easily and the peg for the scabbnard is also soft, so everything just bends and squishes under pressure. How in all fuck are you supposed to get it to attach? Utterly infuriating, why isn't the peg hard ffs, I know I am going to rip this.

Alright so after getting over my frustration I am really impressed, the part I can't get past is just how effortlessly she holds position, she's so stable it feels fantastic. She also works really well with Conan accessories they feel the same style and both figures hold each other's stuff really well. Her helmet is a bit too small for his head however and they both have different head peg holes, which should be fine going from Xesray to Conan, but the other way won't work. Hopefully the men will be compatible.

Also I recommend being very careful with the clips on the soft good fur parts. They work fine they just feel quite delicate so make sure you get your nail between the connect part to separate and not to pull from either side. You can also forgo the clips and use her braids to keep them secured, which is really useful.

>can't say "shit" in a forum for toys that have "for ages 15 years and up" on the packet
That mod is such a faggot. I would point out that nobody under 14 should be on FB and even PG movies are allowed to contain mild swearing such as the word "shit." I remember when the group admin held a small competition for everyone to vent after one of the insane sales and people were encouraged to swear. I'm pretty sure I made a post where every second word was "fuck." Now the group is run by faggots and trannies.

To also further elaborate on some retarded shit I've read. When everyone believed we were getting the Ghost of Christmas Present as a figura, there was a post about whether we'd get the two children as additional figures (3 figures in one figura obscura). Where the two children would be able to go under the Ghost of Christmas Present's robe. People genuinely just put out the most alien shit and think its suddenly something this company would just decide to do and / or be feasible for Four Horsemen. I think a lot of people lack a sense of scale with reality or expectations, whether its this retarded boomer sperging out randomly about 9 packages mid transit or the post about the concept of 3 figures in a single Figura, Four Horsmen Cabal attracts them all. Its a fucking circus.

>>

I kept forgetting the name of the line but it was fish toys. I like how beefy their wolf mounts look and the attachable armor us pretty savage.
>>
>>11648187
The wolf itself was previously commercialized by D20 Studio with different armors, and they advertised them with figures from other lines, including Xesray. It may be easier to find pics and reviews by that brand name.
>>
>>11648219
Tears for what? I don't understand where you are going with your rant.

>the Facebook Cabal is literally where the Four Horsemen tease drops, announce drops, sales, talk about the figures

They have other places such as their instagram page which must be as fast as there facebook because they announced that War of the Aetherblade wave that sold out fast a few weeks ago there and it's the only reason I have a full set thanks to that email alert from the instagram post.

>Quit acting morally superior

Right, third times the charm. Had some fun with the fur this evening, enjoying this figure a lot, though I still haven't taken the plunge of dismantling her, might do so at the weekend. The best thing about fantasy figures is the build up of accessories that can be combined, makes playing with them extra fun. I'm also going to start on the diorama/terrain journey I think, been saving bits and bobs with ideas for constructing stuff, I'd like to give the whole scene photography thing a go.

>>
>>11648384
It's not even worth replying to because it would just encourage the spaz to try and bring more of that crap here.

>>11648387
I used her smaller fur as a mantle, it's long enough for you to drape it over the shoulders, under the arms and clasp it around her back so it stays in place. It works well, doesn't mess with articulation or hide her really nice looking sculpted armor.

I plan to use the larger cloak on a Legions figure, but I may end up trimming parts off because it's a lot of cloak and the figures get lost under it.

I will say she's a VAST improvement over the previous female build, much more natural proportions, better range of motion, much nicer joints and most impressive of all, her weapons actually fit in their sheaths. I had to carve out large chunks of Bernice's sheath to fit her sword, and the little straps on Vlattia harness practically exploded when I tried to fit her swords into em. Hopefully Cassia turns out just as nice as Hidlr did, and I'm curious to see if her possible mainline release has all the same gear and is just a repaint, or if they'll actually give her different stuff to make her feel more "celtic".
>>
Guys today i remembered the giant dragon is a thing and i need it again
>>
>>11648579
I have a feeling they're going to try and get that thing out before next year's Legionscon....so they can then announce the next one at the show. Judging by how well the sale for the first one went, a second one is almost guaranteed to be in the works.
>>
>>11648574
>or if they'll actually give her different stuff to make her feel more "celtic".
Yeah would be cool, I almost feel like each of these figures are Conan accessory packs heh. The older figures were before I started collecting, so I'm glad these ones look to be even better and yeah the cloaks pretty massive, though it bunches up ok. I also think some stuff can be done with the teeth belt thing she has if you take it off her, you can probably use it in different ways to clump up the cloak.

I ended up breaking down during the final day's "Telethon". Watching people throw cash into a pile so they could raffle off extra dragons to people was kind of wild.

Only got the base dragon set, the extras were cool and all but I can live without them. I do with that the final unlock wasn't an army builder though, kind of hard to army build a figure from a $500 set. Now what they should've done was had more unlock tiers where each tier added another of the army builder. I guarantee had they done that, they would've broke that 5k mark that night and it would've been *really* cool if you got an actual army with the Dragon.

>>11649445
That's how I'm rolling. I have NO space for that thing right now, but it's not something I'll have to worry about until he's on my doorstep!

Got my Hildr today. The box bio gives a bit more insight on the whole Gold vs not-Gold thing.

She's Germanic and blonde.
She fights in the arena as a gladiator, where she's known as "Gold Hildr" for her hair (the figure we got).
She works as a mercenary for Romans against Germans, where she dyes her hair red and disguises herself as a Celt to avoid drawing attention to herself in battle (the figure we will presumably get in the future, why else mention it)

We can't be sure of the extent of the changes, though. They could be as drastic as showmanship gladiator attire vs practical Celtic campaign attire, or just simple color and/or minor accessory changes.
>>
>>11649566
I like that they specifically mention her being Germanic, as most people just assume she's a "Viking". But the cultures, styles and weapons between the two are incredibly different, and Germanic warriors of the time are rare to see in figure form.

I got one of the males on pre-order, but may grab more after release to build up a little barbarian tribe.

Yes, the Nutcracker head is a permanent extra. But I can't guarantee they will keep Mouse King on the store after Christmas. The last few years they have removed the other FOs to keep the remaining stock for cons or future sales, which is why Santa and the Christmas Carol are available now.
>>
>>11654456
Yea, the head isn't a limited item, it's a permanent accessory with the figure. Even old Red Santa still has those surprise gunmetal helmets that were new when he first came out.
