any ideas on how to build a pier? I thought about using cardboard which would be easy and cheap but never carry my figures. Then I thought about using "popsicle sticks" from the craft store, which would automatically look better but I do not know how to connect the pilings to the walkway. I can not imagine glue keeping it together on such a small surface, let alone keeping it together till it's dry.

>>11644745If you got power tools then go to a hardware store and get wooden strips, round for the pillars and square one for the base. Use power tool to get desired lenghts and cut out parts of the pillars so they can hold the base better, use those popsicle sticks as boarding.

>>11644967You can try hobby wood from a crafts/hobby store for the parts. They have square and round rods, as well as varying widths for simulating planks. Popsicle sticks will work too, but it may be just as much effort to cut the ends off as it would to cut those a part. I have seen them at the back of my local Hobby Lobby before and I have seen them at local Michaels before too. There are probably even more options out there. Only a suggestion of course!
Looking for a clear coat for my first repaint, found Mr. Super Clear gloss UV Cut has good reviews and is pretty common. Questions:1) i've read it can't be used on some paints and waterbased decals. I'm going to use tamiya acrylics (TS) and some waterslide decals for trims and little details.So does this means it is basically the wrong product to use in this case?2)how is the "UV cut" kind?Since the base paint is white and don't want it to yellow in a couple of years, i thought an extra-protection for 2 more bucks seems worththis is my first custom, everything is new. I tought buying the same kind of paints would have done the job, but the more i dig in, the more a chemistry degree looks necessary
