What's the smallest, most pathetic toy you begged your parents for growing up?

These little fuckers right here. They were only $1 each, and I relentlessly bugged my mom and dad for them. I ended up with most of them. Then my asshole brother stole them and gave them away to his asshole friends just to be his usual evil self. Then the store sold out and never re-ordered. Now they sell for $25+ each.

Mighty beanz, i was genuinely autistically obsessed with these shitty things and to this day i still dont know why. I wasnt even diagnosed with aspergers until highschool but my obsession with mighty beanz when i was in like 3rd grade was the biggest tell tale sign. When they stopped making them around early 2005 i legit had an existential crises so much so that i first contemplated suicide at that point without even hearing of the concept before that point in my life. It was unreal

I remember whining and throwing a shitfit because my mom wouldn't buy me a few Hot Wheels at CVS.

This. Manta Force was pretty big in the UK when I was a kid - they were huge boxed spaceship playsets that had dozens of smaller vehicles and features, and really good value for money. So my parents were all for them, but they completely blanked me whenever I asked for this one, utterly stonewalled. Only as an adult I can see why.

Sorry, fits the OP question because they also sold cheap, basic sets that were also really popular. I remember asking for this as a 5 year old, and my dad just walking away.

Can't imagine why.

Talk about penis envy.

Clearly because it was a choking hazard.

That. And the fact the larger spaceship (previous pic) that was on the shelf above was just a massive penis. The monsters in each pack had giant penis guns that shot green playdough stuff, which came in big red eggs. Their leader was an angry red head. It just goes on.

nothing i desired as a child appealed to your weird perversion, but i did recentlt encourage my mother to get more happy meals in hopes of acquiring the tiny mcdonalds building for me since i don't eat mcdonalds and she enjoys an occasional happy meal

I liked gumball machine toys. I don't know why. I just did. They're a niche-market collectible today, but there's still a collector's market for them.

I desperately wanted these Darkwing Duck minifigures that were a mail-in offer from Kellog's, but it never happened. There was a huge pile of gravel in my backyard that we were going to spread for a new driveway, and for some reason I really wanted to play with these in that gravel. Like I was fixated on it for weeks.

I'm not even mad cause I loved the books as a kid and was of the prime age demographic when the franchise began getting really big. I even had a lego set with the goblins, it was awesome. But this thing fucking sucks. They really went full Glup Shitto with the toys when the movies came out.

Those are cool anon

I resent this question, no matter how small or 'pathetic' a toy might seem to a douche bag like yourself it can still bring joy and adventure to the imaginative mind

Oh man three of these came free in different colors in jars of Ovaltine back then as a promotion in the Philippines along with another line of small construction vehicles and sports cars. Back then we had a small sari-sari store so I was able to collect them (there was also a rocket ship variant of the shuttle). I even built a base for them with not-LEGOs. I only later found out there was a big set of these space vehicles.

green army men at the dollar store, then I'd build opposing fortresses with dixie cups

Not the worst, because the capsule was diecast and had weight to it, but you can tell how small it is based on the crappy figure. It was like one of those mini DBZ figures that used to exist of all those different characters. I can't remember if it was exactly one of those, but I wouldn't be shocked.

Anyways, it was almost instantly returned because even as a kid I was like WTF.

Those also weren't cheap, if I remember right. This one was cheaper, and is a regular figure but super shitty. Shitty sculpt, paint, and nearly no articulation. The arms move, and the gloves and boots are moveable. But that's it. Just horrible in every way. The "with accessories" is also a lie. I think it MAY have come with a dragon ball, but I'm not sure.

It's not even a toy but do vending machine trinkets count, cause I had a full blown autistic melty in first grade because I got a cool holographic spongebob sticker (don't remember exactly what it looked like but it was something like a prototypical gangster spongebob on a fake $100 bill) and forgot it at home so I couldn't put it on my binder to show off to my class

The originals were made in a pre-unified West Germany in the 80s by Bruder. The ones that came later were no-name Chinese-made versions. Even though are a bit difficult to find today.
