YO YO PIRAKAGANG'S ON THE LOOSENOTHIN YOU CAN DO
>>11651271No I’m gonna use those jurassic world orbs for a wheel/weird power core inside of a vehicle, I like buying odd parts, besides I ain’t on the levek of gadunka boobs guy
>>11651337BEAST ON THE MOVENOTHING YOU CAN DO
>>11651352Have this fully complete, ordered an odd amount of sphere halves to complete one that I got during brickworld this year, other parts were extracted from a technic lot and 2 black pins that came with it for free
>>11651337
Figured out a way to use Rurus for the boobs. They're way bigger than what I originally had in mind, this build is definitely going to be at least toa-sized now.
>>11651477booba
>>11651476>still no proper recolors of Lewa’s axe or the ice pick long piece
I simplified the technic frame and made the boobs independently moveable. When I'll get better at technic engineering, I want to improve the concept further by using Bohrok rubber bands to implement jiggle physics.
>>11651477>>11651477>>11651538I love seeing mask reuse. Nice choice though, the Rurus aren't a bad touch. I'd have sooner tried them for an ass, but they look nice that way, too.I'll continue watching your build with great interest.>>11651352I'm a visionary damn itI just...need to actually see the vision through and stop yammering about it.
>>11651547Using Rurus for the ass could be interesting, but I'll keep that in mind as a secondary option at best for the moment, depending on what I end up using as the main color it could get pretty expensive
>>11651323Is bionicle back? I haven't seen any in stores
>>11651642Lol no, it's dead and buried, and so should be all remaining bonklefags
>had to reply to his own bait since no one was bitingkek
>>11651547I wonder if there’s any techniques to make some good clear masks to make rahi eyes, or what would be a good eye-mask. Got a ton of parts today including some milky white tester for balljoints, though the bohrok teeth that were supposed to be milky white were just regular white, thats a bummer lol. Also gadunka’s face is expensive and I only have one, would prefer buying a lot more spines
>11651725>two anons can't have an opinionOkay
>>11651805based retard
Can someone give me a rundown on bonkle? I missed out on the golden age not really being too aware of it, and then I collected hero factory but I understand they aren't connected themes.Aside from bonkle I just want to say: please take me back to the 2000s, please I do not want to live in a world like this, take me back to when it was warm and sunny and "real life" seemed to be millennia away.
>>11651828I'm not asking that bonkle be brought back. I'm asking what even is bonkle, really.>precious moments of the pastIts more than moments.
>>11651834Again, the second part has little to do with bonkle. I just missed the way things were. Now will you answer my question you fugging sperg?
>>11651832>>11651836>responding to a local mindbroken SEAnigger schizoFool's errand anon
>>11651839How do you know he's not white? I always considered Lego a white Christian man's hobby. Although there seems to have been an increase in other races practising.
>>11651853>>11651836>>11651839Because I have seen his face, he ain’t white. Also he spams the shf general so thats how you know he’s SEA.
>>11651855Will you talk to me then? I'm asking about bonkle whilst also feeling quite nostalgic.
>>11651857No fuck off
>>11651868
>>11651827it had 4 distinct eras and story arcs>2001 - 2003the mata nui arc, often considered to be the golden age of the franchise, bio mechanical tribal island aesthetic >2004 - 2005the metru nui arc, prequel arc that is presented as the elders from the first arc telling a story to the original cast>2006 - 2008the ignition arc, mata nui (the guy) is dying and he needs to be revived or else the world ends, a lot of returning minor characters from the 2001 - 03 era return here in a feature role in 2006/7, 2008 has the original toa take centre stage again>2009/10 the bara manga arc, completely different setting with entirely new characters except for one, story was cut short due to line cancellation but ends well enough i guessin terms of sets i'd say 2001 > 2002 > 2004 > 2003 > 2007 > 2009 > 2005 > 2008 > 2006 > 2010
>>11651881I glanced at your post and decided not to read it since it has spoilers. I want to have a 2000s comfy feel watching it. Tell me what to watch/read. sorry you wrote in vain.
>>11651890click on the wall of history website, and either read the comics or watch the movies
>>11651890for the books it's chronicles > adventures > legends, chronicles is the first arc, adventures is the second, legends is the third and fourthread in numerical order, naturallyadventures and legends are written by a different guy, who also did the story for the comicsi'm not super familiar with the comics so i can't help you there
Tren Krom
Rahkshi
Where do you buy your bionicles?
>>11652224Bricklink for convenience and generally fair prices, plus checking eBay and Facebook for the occasional deal. Never pay more than the lowest Bricklink price unless you're accounting for shipping.
>>11651890You need to play Mata Nui Online Game, it is and will always be certified ludocinema
>>11652052Do we know what Tren Krom was during 2001?
>>11652224Bricklink for parts, ebay/Facebook/craigslist/mercari for bulk. The former will cost a little more usually but you'll get exactly what you want, sooner. The latter is a fucking roll of the dice but you can get lucky.>bought a $30 shipped lot on mercari>just got in>4 Protectors>Master Kopaka and Gali>Umarak>Lewa Uniter and UxarAll I wanted was a second Umarak, the rest is just bonus.
>>11652224Ebay and bricklink. Ebay still has the occasional "clueless person doesn't know what the actual value of stuff is" lot although they are getting rarer, and bricklink for actual specifics.I've gotten a few misprint noble masks from lots that I sold for profit over the years since I don't care about doing a collection or using them.
>>11652043thank you.>>11652246qrd?
>>11652356nta but mnog is considered to be one of the highlights of the 2001 story, it was a flash game released at the time and arguably did the bulk of the heavy lifting for that first year in terms of story it's technically a sequel to a gba game but it's not relevant in the slightest to mnog and most people don't even know it's a sequel at alla download for it is on the biomedia project site, op has a link for it
>>11652395I know nothing about bonkle lore. What do these acronyms mean?
>>11652395I know nothing of bonkle lore. What do these acronyms mean?
>>11652398>>11652399mnog = mata nui online gamegba is gameboy (advance)tales of the tohunga/ quest for the toa is the name of the gba game, but again it's not required to play to understand mnog
>>11652406Shit... I had no idea bonkle was this deep and media rich. Where should I start on the lore? >>11651948thanks, I'll check that out
>>11652413mnog is a good starting point, all the characters relevant to the first year introduce themselves, or are introduced by othersthe other games are hit or miss, they can be fun but generally aren't considered canonical
>>11652415the games precede the comics/movies? Also what is your favourite bionicle?
>>11652417the story is a bit of a mess understanding what happens when sometimes, the best way i can describe it is that what's happening in mnog is taking place throughout the first year of the story, the first chronicles book is from the perspective of the toa while mnog is that of a tohunga/ matoransome things also don't always line up 1:1 with each other, but that's to be expected when things are written by multiple different people at different timesthe movies are strange, they somewhat take place in their own separate canon but iirc the novelizations line up better with the other booksthe movies also don't start at the beginning, or end at the end the three movies were released in 2003, 2004, and 2005, with the first movie, mask of light, being about the latter half of the story that yearthe 2004 movie is technically the middle portion of the 2004 story, and 2005 is the whole year give or takei should note that the broader story isn't super relevant to the movies, they all have a beginning, middle, and end that are self contained to themselvesfavourite bionicle is a tough question, as a set i've always liked 2001 lewa, but as a character i think vakama is pretty neat by the end of the adventures books
>>11652413Heres the abridged version.https://youtu.be/HKgSMTON4fI?si=s6guvOjDxOmWuQYA
>>11652254There's a landmark named after him on Mata Nui.
>>11652427Thanks man, good post. Should I watch/read in chronological order or as they came out? I want peak 2000s comfiness.>>11652458Thanks but no spoilers. I want an unadulterated experience.
>>11652530order everything came out in is more or less chronological, the books in the prequel years all start with an excerpt that informs the reader that this is a story about the past being told in the present, and has some characters from the first arc speak briefly to the storytellerthere's a single exception to this, but it's the last adventures book about a private adventure none of the other characters are aware of
>>11652558alright, so where should I start? I'm white if that helps
>>11652560for books start with chronicles #1 tale of the toamata nui online game also takes place roughly at the same time but from a different perspective then just go through the books in numerical order, after chronicles it's the adventures books, after that it's legendsthe 2009/10 story doesn't have a label associated with them afaikthere are also the comics which sometimes go into more detail about things absent from the books, but i don't really know much about themi think it goes bionicle (1 - 27) bionicle ignition (1 - 15) and bionicle glatorian (1 - 7)
I bought a bunch of projectiles
>>11652570Thanks a ton. Saved. Will do this when summer rolls around. Try to relive that specific feel if you know what I mean. Tell me you know what I mean. Tell me I'm not the only one who remembers the world to be warmer, more alive and optimistic. Tell me me how I remember my childhood is more than just an illusion.
