Relatively quiet end to the year, but still some cool announcements. Chucky blind box wave 2 was revealed, and is up for preorder.
Ultimate Dek from Badlands
The once SDCC exclusive poster "Thing" figure has been repackaged for the Poster Series and is now a general release.
The 12 Days of Downloads checklists have shown some teases for new things. We appear to be getting a black and white Metaluna Mutant and Ardeth Bay.
Ben Cooper wave 13 went up for preorder on the NECA store the other day.
I know this is the NECA thread but if I am buying a Flash Gordon figure as a present for someone, am I better off with one of the NECA's - which I probably have to score at EBAY or with a markup, or with one of the Boss Fight Studios ones, which I can still find at MSRP.The recipient actually won't care if it looks like the movie actor or looks like the newspaper daily strips/books - he's a fan of all versions of Flash. The one plus for NECA is that he could eventually get the Ming and I don't think Boss Fight made one or will make one. Thanks!
>>11652037yeah the colour one came out first, you can pick it up on bbts now
>>11652168Oh shit, they restocked Vultan. He sold out a while ago and I never checked to see if they got it back in. Thanks for the heads up.
These 12day offerings are crap.
>>11652168Yeah I saw that as well, which sucks because I just took delivery of a Pile of Loot from BBTS two weeks ago! I'd rather get it local, safer bet that I can wrap it, but thank you. I might get the DOF Flash as well eventually for this person.Trying to get them interested in collecting figures. They have Funkos on their desk at work, like most idiots, but since they are only in the office now one day a week, it's mostly junk to collect dust next to their inbox.
Blood pool Pennywise got announced, and up for order. Pretty easy variant, surprised it's already coming though!
>>11652411So instead of giving us all of the like 5+ unique heads from the finale it’s just all reuse? Man… there’s so many cool accessories they could’ve included with this.
>>11651984Id get this just for the pamela bucket.
>>11651985I just want Tiffany and old Chucky, hate this blind box shit
>>11652411Should have given him a sousaphone.
>>11651992I was thinking if they got to do Chucky, he would had been based on the Good Guys art rather than the Chucky IP itself. I do like how Chucky is all Hanna Barbera'd out.
Fucking nothing. They don't care anymore.
>>11652689We may luck up and get an accessory pack.
>>11651988Its really cool! I missed the first release so this is good for me.It would be cool if they made more Thing figures.
>>11651984No Tarman and Trash for Return of the Living Dead's 40th anniversary....FUCK NECA!!!FACT!!!
Any news on the next Sesame Street release(s)?
>>11653563There's a major brawl going on with the ROTLD rights. The Living Dead Media guy had been selling the license and had a new film lined up, but now there's a lawsuit by the actors in the original film to get money from him.
>>11653619It's one of the consequences of slipshod slapdash movie making in the 70s and 80s, studios screwing over young talent eventually get their comeuppance
>>11653609>but now there's a lawsuit by the actors in the original film to get money from him.How would that mess up a new movie? The Friday the 13th lawsuit, sure, that was over who created the character, so that makes sense. But how would "we want more money" prevent a new project?
>>11653791The actors filed a cease and desist over usage of their likeness (i.e. Linnea as Trash), and in the ensuing legal drama their lawyer found that the guy making the film had less rights than anyone previously thought. For example, the rights to Tarman is apparently owned by the production designer William Stout. He's also being sued by the actors for a large sum of money now, which may or may not be an issue it depends on how the film is being funded. Most of it has been shot, and they said they planned to shoot the rest in winter when it snows. Last I heard they were trying to settle, but the fact the actors crowdfunded to make their own film "Trash's Revenge" is causing a major issue.
>>11653563>>11653609Who’d Neca get the license from? If they got it from Living Dead Media there’s no chance any of the actors are going to give their likeness rights.
Anons you prob already know, but Ross has NECA figures for sale for a good price. I got a Kong for $20, Dracula for $17, and Franky for $17. They had a B/W Wolfman and others, including the Toony Terror line. Anyone get some good stuff too?
>>11653991I was in the US recently and saw a bunch if bw Monsters. If they had a colored Dracula I'd have gotten it. I did get a couple things, Crooked Man and Alf. Other Neca things they had included movie April, the aforementioned Monsters, Ash, Demona.
>>11653596Grover and Mr Johnson weren't given an estimated release at SDCC from what I remember, but according to the NYCC display:>Q2 2026OscarBig BirdHerry>Q3 2026Sherlock Hemlock and WatsonFrazzle was accidentally displayed in Herry's place and was never shown with a card indicating his release date AFAIK, but if I were to guess, I'd say Grover/Mr Johnson and Frazzle will probably be Q3 as well.>>11654066Slimey and the elephants were displayed with Oscar at SDCC ,but we're AWOL at NYCC, so I'm not sure if they are going to come with him or they are saving both for the accessory pack.
>>11653991>>11653994They had Hocus Pocus Henderson Sisters, loads of Tooney's: Superman, Bob Ross, Alien, Beetlejuice and expected others, Alf, Ash, Gargoyles, the Universal Monsters, and butt loads of ETs. The only thing I picked up so far was the Black Noir from The Boys.
>>11653527>>11651988>and is now all over Ross for about $16.99
>>11654755Sucks to be you, am I right, sister?
>>11652168Went for the NECA. It feels like the best value. I really did like those Super Powers looking ones and hope Boss Fight does more of them.
>>11653991i got a clearance nightmare demon from walmart for $12 but am returning it tomorrow. incredibly disappointing figure.
>>11655389>Sucks to be you
Have they said anything about this guy?
>>11655592Probably not happening. the universal monsters turtle figures seemed to be going on clearance everywhere, don’t think they sold well.
>>11655639It is still happening, it was being tooled for costs. The UM figures did sell well.
>>11655639I don't think they would have made a second Raph and Leo if they were selling badly. I think they just overproduced some of them (mummy Mike and Frankenraph in particular seem to be super cheap).
Conjuring Malthus just announced!
>>11655639>>11655653$17 isn't cheap clearance. Not compared to McFarlane's Avatar, Netflix Witcher, Gears of War, and DC Multiverse being sold for as little as $5.99.Those huge fucking Avatar mega figs are totally bargains for someone who has a lot of space, which isn't me. But someone is making out like a bandit and the scalpers/resellers aren't falling all over themselves to snatch them so they are easy to find.
>>11655706Hate the movies, this is cool though.
>>11655782Must have. I don't know if this is from the new movie or what.
>>11655736>>11655715
>>11656012Elmo did nothing wrong.
>>11656118How do you know he didn't take the pic of the figure before returning it? Why are you trying to troll him? Are you really that desperate for human interaction at Christmas?
Pretty good stuff up today, Ash is back too.
>>11656172Think he just got banned again
>>11656448Nope
They got Santa Art out in time for Christmas, wondering when we'll see the rest of the Terrifier Toonies.
>>11656728>wondering whenhopefully never
>>11656754Sorry you suck so badly
>>11656063Robin can't be faulted when Bruce made those shorts and pixie boots for him.
>>11656462Yeah he did
>>11653009>>11652311Yawn... horror movie figures. Everywhere. Not even just NECA. So boring. The bloody Pennywise figure doesn't even have the blood "line" at the right placement on his face from the last episode. The 12 Days of Christmas this year blew pretty hard, nary a desirable gem in there, unlike last year. Guess NECA's going to keep doing the thing they did a few months ago where they tried to sell you 350% price-hiked Ben Cooper kids currently out on the shelves at normal price, or Simon Belmont-tier figures for around $80, as opposed to last year's $20. There's just... nothing this christmas that's desirable enough to have done the 5 for $100 thing. Oh, and to NECAnon, I'd say yes, adding bloody Ash on day 1 then pulling him immediately down WAS clearly a mistake, as they returned him later on for a different day. Anyway, my thousands of "reward" (LOL) points are dropping off into the timed-out ether. Sorry, NECA... you have to do a lot better than a Beast Man mask and Gargoyles figs no one wants (that you can't even CART and have to pay individual shipping for EVERY. SINGLE. ONE.
>>11657429Sure is a bunch of whiny bitching here. And no, the Ash was not a mistake you fucktard. They brought back items over the days, if you paid any attention. I know you struggle with your autism and all. Moron.
>>11657429>as they returned him later on for a different day...They did that with multiple items. It was to allow people to customize their bundle more. Weak bait my dude.
>>11657454This. I saw repeats daily.
Merry Christmas!Also new Ghost Face!
>>11657773Tonny terrors are so ugly, they look nothing like cartoon versions of whatever license they’re based on, the just look like bootlegs
>>11658034You're very alone in that thinking.
>>11657973Oh cool! Is that a mego or an ultimate? Kind of hard to tell.
>>11658034i got my first and sure to be only one the other day. agreed
>>11658276Sure bud.
>ah hate toys>ah only cumz here to talk hate cuz toys ain't no fun no more
>>11658293Seeeeriously. The people on this board are insufferable. They look for reasons to be mad.
>>11658312It seems to be only neca threads that have disappointed customers posting
>>11658316You don't get around much
>>11653991Heading to Ross soon, hoping to find some Pennywise or Xenomorphs. I'll update with what I score
>>11655592Looks like it's not coming after all.https://youtu.be/d3xaLjHoUZw
>>11658389Moron, watch the actual interview, not some slop Youtuber. They're waiting till they can get the figure out while dealing with the tariff and other BS.
>>11658514>watch two hours of slop YouTuber Veebs stuttering and Trevor umming and ahhhhing incessantly like a retardI did. I just shared that vid to save people the effort of listening to two hours of audio torture that even the higher ups at Guantanamo would feel bad for inflicting on terrorists. Also you said that giant Krang was being tooled at the factory here >>11650696 and the charisma vacuum that cant string a sentence together makes it pretty clear that it isn't being tooled yet. You and your lies can fuck right off.
>>11658561>He didn't say a fucking thing about tariffsHmm, what could be causing all these companies to slow down all of a sudden due to economic pressures? Hm, hm, hm. I wonder, I wonder...
>>11658656Poor selling toys that are clogging Walmart, Ross and Ollie's across the country? It's funny that the only companies that are slowing down are the ones that are clogging the shelves with unsellable shit.
>>11658034I saw Pinhead the other day and was bewildered how little paint he had and how soft the sculpt looked. I think they'd work much better if they were 1/2 the size and 1/3 the price.I'm probably the target audience for these but I haven't seen one, except maybe the American Werewolf one, that looked appealing to me. Funko Mystery Minis are my jam because those are smaller scale and can get away with less detail as needed. Also the start style seems a bit different between each figure to me, so it looks a bit inconsistent. I can't tell what style they are going with a lot of the times. A mix of 60s and 70s style cartoons (Scooby Doo, Jonny Quest, etc.)?
>>11658769>1/2 the size and 1/3 the price.No. Neither of those things makes sense.
>>11658769damn, that's a fucking banger lineup. I use to buy a few of the walking dead ones to give to my mom cause she liked the show.
>>11658702>calls people morons and tells them to eat shit and die>accuses them of being hostileYour tantrums, lies, and hypocrisy won't bring back the Universal Monsters TMNT line.
>>11659078Good thing it'll never happen!
>>11659089Glad you agree Elmo won't be happening!
>>11658279why would i lie about that? get a grip, weirdo.
>>11659116Stop lying then, weirdo
>>11658072Nah hes right, bootlicking faggot
>>11659150Nah he's wrong, trolling faggot.
>>11659152There are like 4 people that said they look bad. Keep coping, necashill.
>>11659154Oh wow, a retard troll posted multiple times? That totally means...something! You are such a sad sack of shit.
>>11659154And there's hundreds of thousands more that like them and buy them. I guess you're shit out of luck.
>>11659133what am i lying about? i said i got a toy, i proved i got the toy. get a grip.
>>11659181>hundreds of thousands more that like them and buy themXD
>>11659176Coping again, Necafag. People think they look bad.
>>11659280Yeah that's why they keep selling and keep making more. Weak ass troll.
The toony terrors look shitty and are the bottom tier of Neca products. I don't think that is debatable.
>>11659828Except that's wrong, so it is debatable. People like them, there's a reason they keep getting made.
>>11659864Argumentum ad populum."People like them" is not an indicator of their quality.
>>11659960Quality is great. Sorry to burst your weak ass troll bubble.
Is it worth digging through the archives to see what folks thought about the Black Noir figure? I just picked one up for $17 at Ross, because I had to pick up some cheap tackle box type containers for loose/used LEGO pieces.
>>11660002He's a basic figure, but good one. Can't beat that price honestly.
Babyface Killer retro cloth just got announced
>>11660964That's tight. Wish it was an ultimate tho
>>11660964Looks OK, if they feel that will sell enough to make it then give us a The Prowler, Maniac Cop and The Burning in retro or preferably an ultimate.
>>11661295I'm hoping for a Prowler Ultimate. It's a good dual figure because it's also just a WWII soldier in camo.
>>11661321That would be pretty cool as well honestly
>>11660545ALF's so sad he got a Smash invite.
>>11660964Look forward to picking this up on clearance
>>11661935Which won't happen. But you keep on being dumb I guess
My New Years Wish is for Necanon to stop trying to derail threads. And NECA Ultimates Three Stooges, INCLUDING Shemp.
>>11661943Yeah it will, that movie is not popular at all
>>11661975Doesn't help the mods take his side.
>>11660964>retro clothTired of them. Other than Elvira they all look like shit
>>11662015I'd enjoy some things to have soft fabric, but the ones I don't want to have soft fabric gets soft fabric.
>>11662012I heard that her actress retired the character. Shame really.
NECA Powerpuff Girls?
>>11662015you realize you don't have to argue with people's personal preferences in toys, right?
>>11662082why are you so angry?
>>11662088They don't collect toys and just sit on /toy/ and try to derail threads. Just ignore em.When the fuck is Tempestra coming out? I wanna finish my Shredders Revenge Shelf.
>>11662096Are you just describing yourself? Jesus. Get a life.
>>11661974>that movie is not popular at allYou have to be 18 to post here
So with the new Muppet Show special confirmed, you think NECA will jump on the Muppet train?
>>11662997No.
>>11662997It'd be nice, but that's a tough one to see happening. I could see us getting Kermit at some point still.
>>11651992Does anyone really have nostalgia for these shitty costumes, let alone making up new ones in the style?>Wave 13Fuuuuuck.... Seriously?
>>11664757ngl I'd pick up that misfits one if I saw it. idk about nostalgia, except for halloween in general.
>>11664757I mean, yes. They're all some of the most popular slashers and music iconography.
This arrived damaged and it was too late to return/replace so I ended up giving my friend something else for the holiday. But I was thinking of keeping it for myself. However, when I see people post or re-sell NECA, I notice even the non-in box collectors seem to save their NECA boxes (just like with MEZCO and imports). So I'm assuming since I still have until the end of the month, that I am better off returning this NECA for a flawless box? It's not like I got any discount for this. The box was well packed and shipped - so this was probably in this condition at the warehouse. Here are more images:https://imgur.com/a/neca-flash-gordon-7-action-figure-damaged-box-48c65OQAny advice appreciated.
>>11668015NECA won’t give a fuck about the damaged box and won’t replace it unfortunately.
>>11668067It's not from NECA (Crapazon). I don't usually order from places that won't offer me free shipping unless I buy a lot of their shit. But good to know that NECA has uncaring customer service. Actually, now that I think about it, DC, Warner Brothers and Super7 also had awful Customer Care.
>>11668015No store will care about box damage. You got it from bbts right? Unless you paid for the MIB price or whatever it's not really worth the hassle. You can absolutely ask though, there's no harm in that. And a lot of people keep the boxes for the cover art. Or sometimes it's easier to store the extras that way.
>>11668078Oh you got it from amazon? Directly or a third party seller?
>>11668079Amazon is letting me return an Marvel Legends Iceman for a full refund that someone swiped the figure on. They did an excellent job of putting an eight year old toy for a current (2025) ML release, you can't tell unless you really REALLY look - that the cardback was possibly glued back together. But you're right - they won't care - they will probably turn around and resell it as "NEW" once they get it back from me. And no, it's Amazon. You're right Entertainment Earth wouldn't care about box damage - I already had that problem which is why I won't buy from them again. BBTS has that MIB guarantee and they absolutely accepted my request for a return for a gift I purchased, actually for the /toy/ secret santa last month. They were actually pretty decent about the whole thing. I know people hate on BBTS here, but the 3 orders I've ever made from them turned out fine. It was one of those import model kits, so nothing I would have been interested in myself.>>11668081Directly. Amazon re-sale, and it was listed as MINT - although I just realized that they only charged me $23, instead of $29.99 (or the $34.99 MSRP or higher prices some TPS have it for). So I guess I need to sleep on whether I keep it.I checked archive.palanq and it doesn't look like anyone is really posting about buying this NECA, certainly not in this GEN or on /toy/ generally. A lot of posts about wanting the prince and the SDCC exclusive but not about this one.Did people buy it and like it?
