So on a whim, i typed in action figures into amazon. the 4 of the first 5 figures are t13. Action figure is now dominated by 3d printed slop. discuss
>>11656170god damn it, i forgot to turn the brightness up
>>11656170If you think that’s bad, I went to an “artisan store” the other day that was trying to sell those 3D printed snakes for like 24 dollars. Normies can’t tell the difference.
>>11656170Are those 3d printed toys actually durable? I heard the joints become floppy because they lose friction from the 3d printed plastic being kinda shit
>>11656170what in God’s holy name are you blathering about?
>>11656221It’s a youtuber who thinks he is in good graces with here (he isn’t)
>>11656230It could also be an anon pretending to be him which is equally as worse.
>>11656170As it says right there, they're listed first because they are sponsored.
>>11656238People are fucking idiots these days. It's nearly 2026 and people still can't tell what are paid/sponsored listings, just like some idiots can't tell when items on sites like Walmart, Target or Amazon are sold by third party sellers which explains a higher than MSRP price
I printed one out myself and they are fun. But it cost me like 10 cents and a little time on the printer. I'd never consider buying one or trying to rip some one off charging like 2000% of what it cost to make this thing. And it's durable enough but I have no idea how long the joints will last. But if it doesn't I can print another one easy, not the same if you buy one for 2000% markup.
>>11656200>go to toy show, guy selling 3d printslop>go to card show, guy selling 3d printslop>go to reptile expo, guy selling 3d printslop
>>11656727Speaking as a big fan of 3D printing (albeit resin in my case) it's really annoying seeing this crap absolutely everywhere- even aside from it forcing out actually worthwhile booths from fairs, conventions etc, it's disappointing that the public perception of 3D printing is becoming "crappy plastic noodle dragons sold for a massive profit" given how much cool stuff you can do with them.I kinda wanna make a fully poseable (as in, actually poseable, not flexi-bullshit) printable dragon. Need to figure out how to use that pirated copy of Zbrush I have; Blender is really good, and for the actual engineering side of things it's definitely my go-to but for complex sculpting Zbrush is hard to beat. Or it would be if the UI wasn't absolute toilet.
>>11657234The fuck do you mean pirated? Zbrush is free
>>11657293...It is? I thought it had a stupidly high subscription fee.
>>11657358It does, he's probably thinking of Blender. As of this year ZBrush's developer even discontinued the free Core Mini version, which was too limited to be worth trying anyway.
>>11657234Yeah it's a shame. A lot of AI garbage and Creative commons Nintendo shit from the cons I've scouted. I would love to table at a con or craft fair but I feel these shitters with a Ender 3 and a Printables account have kinda ruined it for most of us.
>>11656242It's the tech illiterate boomers and regular illiterate zoomers who can't navigate virtual marketplaces without getting scammed. MilleniGODS know how to shop on Amazon without spending triple MSRP on toys sold by xiaodongliezie49136103.
>>11656278I like having them pose HEMA guards, got one for 99cents. Might buy another one so I can pose attacks and parries.
