Is Mega actually fucking dead now? Will Mattel Brick shop EVER put out anything other than Hot Wheels? Why is Mattel rebranding Halo sets if they have not announced anything new? Will they ever do anything other than Halo?Previous: >>11622600Best sources for Mega news:https://www.instagram.com/bryan_mcx/?hl=enhttps://www.instagram.com/megaplayants/?hl=enArchived Threads:https://archive.palanq.win/toy/search/subject/Mega/
>>11656475They never should've lost the Pokemon license. I hope their motion builds wasnt their fault
>>11656475thanks for making a new thread
>>11656481Pretty sure it wasn't Mattel's call to make. Besides, IPs tend to migrate back and forth between Mattel and Lego over the years. I'm sure they'll get it back in time.
>>11657596ThisI'm surprised they held onto the license for so long. Considering that Mega and Lego have shared the following licenses:Pirates of the caribbeanMarvelTMNTThe only place where Lego has outdone Mega is obviously Marvel
>>11657634Don't forget about Spongebob Squarepants
What do you guys think about the Narnia and King Arthur lines?
>>11657698coo monsters, the Narnia line had some cool beastmen iirc
Mattel used Mega as a loss leader for years. I love the details and possibility as well as the size and would have welcomed civvies. Also the Beyonders and Vikings had potential if developed. But there were constant fuck ups. The shifting scale of the HALO figures as well as lines that just died. I am particularly disappointed in the lack of Scully for x-files and lack of more Colonial Marines (and possibly a Ripley and power loader.I will buy Chinese knock offs (missing the modified sets like the Fire fighters though. ) but wish there was more variation (men with hair and female bodies) . The custom parts coming out of Mexico are amazing but postage is butt-splitting rape. If they don't license all their IP's to LEGO they could come back. Also a deal with HASBRO to use G.I.Joe and Thunder cats would be amazing
comic con is soon, right
>>11664159 It's either going to be an overpriced "masterbuild" piece of crap like the Squid games set that no one asked for or Hot Wheels. - I mean they don't want to upset their "business partner" LEGO by releasing better minifigures right?
>>11656475Yes, keepley + Blokees are mega now
>>11665156>ike the Squid games set that no one asked forDid anyone buy that? I didn't see any reviews, even from curious Lego fans. Which is weird because they seem to looooooooooove those new hotwheel sets.>>11665159rip
>>11665829I know it's no use whining over spilled, spoiled and curdled milk, but it is really disappointing that the Kratos was a one-off. No other Sony IPs, no other GoW games or charcters, nothing. >>11666015They look exhausted.
>>11666023>>11666015Such is life in the Zone.
>>11656475It's fucking dead unless you love cars.
>>11668245 What exactly is a "dead" toyline? One that isn't being made or one that isn't being played with?
Never thought in 2026 I'd have in my hands a new unopened Dragons set yet here we are. Fuck me was it expensive though, I don't even want to open it
>>11668714the former
>>11669775 Well that's like g.I.Joe being "dead" during the time they weren't on shelves - for what.. about 5 years. Who makes pogs now? and of course Mighty Max - where we see regular threads.
>>11670011You're coping hard bro.
>>11656475I found a a big multi pack of halo guys last night at walmart so i dont think its completely dead
>>11670538the one they released years ago?
What aesthetic would you say this is?
>>11670415naw. Just having fun
>>11671833 Lost opportunities
>>11671889Is it really a lost opportunity if they tried and failed?
>>11674082 That's sad.
>>11674501>$650 for the startersIt's funny
Well my collection of OG Dragons sets is complete. I am now sad that I will never own the entire series (meaning all sets from every series)
>>11674701That's why Matty buttfucked their MEGA line.So they would get cash from the license
