>>11656394Kinda want Blokees to show off theirs now. They gotta be planning one.
>>11657044What are the chances they'll make trainers? I'm dying for an actual posable Iono
>>11657055
>>11657044Too late. There should've been good Nidoking toys years ago
>>11657061hmmm yes I see
>>11657062There should've been a good everything years ago, but we're not in that timeline.
>>11657044>NidokinoA little too wide and rounded for my tastes, but we're never getting a toy that looks like his sugi so maybe I should just settle.
>>11657044>>11657048he looks so peak, i cant wait to get my hands on him>>11657055now that its in the fantastics line theres an actual chance, since thats also where they do other human characters like Miku.>>11656955>I wish it scaled nicer with other figuresatleats nidoking is an absolute shortking in the games and anime. >>11657062>Too lateat that point just stop enjoying anything. im just glad were finally getting some good figures and these are also really affordable, look well and have good posability.I will say im surpriced Jazwares hasnt touched the nido line one bit, they used to be appearing in quite some parts of the animes and movies.
>>11657062I don't know if you will ever notice how that chinese nidoking looks super derpy and somehow you show the same picture everytime like if it looked good lol
>>11657044Goddamn. Can't believe I'm tempted to get back into Pokemon toys after mostly losing interest in the franchise like 15 years ago. The Blokees line's just that good.
>>11657044Fuck yeah, Nidoking! Ordered a Scyther (and Corphish, Squirtle and Bulbasaur) to go with my Meowscarada, might have to get this when it comes out too. The Nidos are some of my favourite gen 1 guys.
>>11657062I bet you buy the latest slopwares though
>>11657135>now that its in the fantastics line theres an actual chance, since thats also where they do other human characters like Miku.Oh interesting. Hopefully if they make them they aren't giants and scale good with their own Pokemon figures at the very least.
>>11657275>they aren't giants and scale good with their own Pokemon figures at the very least. Not gonna count on it unless they make yet another subline for that scale.
>>11657176So you're saying Blokees looks the same. ok
>>11657275>scale good with their own Pokemon figures at the very least.Their two pokemon lines don't even scale with eachother. I'd be happier if a trainer line was more figma or shf scaled to go with Red, Ash and Team Rocket
>>11657076yeah, 3D killed Pokemon's charm.
>>11657408I always liked this concept
I need a Galarian Weezing toy. He is my son. Is there a good one of those?
Articulation on this one looks ass unfortunately, do we know what the other 3 in the wave are?
>>11657076I'm one of these people so don't think like this is an insult but I feel bad for everyone who fell in love with this drawing of Nidoking which is inaccurate and then gets mad whenever a new Nidoking thing is released that doesn't match this one piece of art despite the fact he doesn't look like this anywhere else
>>11657557Seems like about as much as you can give him. Tail, legs, knees, arms, elbows, neck, head, mouth. Apparently Machamp is in. Maybe since there's only 2 that's it for the wave. That new card insert's got me a little worried the way it has that "151" on there.
>>11657044this is cool, I'm glad I'm not autistic about scale so I can just enjoy toys.
>>11657598>That new card insert's got me a little worried the way it has that "151" on thereThey been promoting those since small wave 2 for just kanto pokemon, think they even said you could somhow get them for wave 1 gen1cmons someway?Idk it hasnt stopped non 151 pokemon sofar.
>>11657408I guess broadly you're correct since he looked fat in Pokemon Stadium, though he had fun animations. Love that flexing stomp he does when he uses Earthquake.I'm glad the series ultimately went full 3D though, the sprites in gen 5 were awful. Still the ugliest games in the series and it's not even close.>>11657560I understand his design changed from the initial "capsule monsters" concept but damn if it isn't cool. Shame he didn't get that gmax form that showed up in the gigaleak, it would have been a perfect time to retvrn to the long spikes and more pronounced armor.
>>11657044>>11657076I agree that the transition to 3D has “softened” some of the harsher ridges of many Pokemon, not just the earlier gens. For example, I do wish that the eyebrows on Nidoking were just a bit more defined to make it feel a bit more threatening. Weirdly enough, I still feel like Nidorino manages to pull this off rather well.Anyways, I’m sure we’re likely to receive a Starter Final Evo and some more non-traditional but very popular pick from a more recent gen, if they’re aiming to continue the trend of the last wave. Wave one was kind of all over the place, though, with three Starter Final Evos. I’d personally love a Machamp, he’s an old favorite, but for a more left field pick I’d really love Zoroark.I find it curious that they’ve avoided legendaries entirely.
>>11657408It ruined Weavile the most. Why is it fat now?>>11657416I always thought LGPE was the perfect representation of what Gen 1 and the game franchise as a whole should look like. The later games keep adding this colored filter that makes them look non-definitive
>>11657416That is absolutely peak. I'm not even close to a genwunner but I'd play the shit out of that. Also there is something very funny about how much better discussion on Pokemon is here compared to the actual Pokemon board. Jesus that place is miserable.
>>11657061Bea is for feet actuallyHere's hoping if they do make a Bea figure, they give her articulated toes, like the revoltech Juri>>11657055I'm really hoping they do. A Red to accompany Charizard or Dawn to pair with Piplup (or the inevitable Empoleon)I just they're not limited in articulation, especially the female trainers with their skirts.
>>11658028Poseable trainers would be pretty good, yeah. I'd actually like, of all characters, Allister to get a figure. I really like his design, especially the mask.
>>11658031It would be cool if they made his mask removable too.
>>11658028She's butt, feet and fit. the only Fighting type Leader I want. She has the cutest face too.
>>11658050>She's butt, feet and fit.you got that right, I love her so much, though her feet is what gets me going.>She has the cutest face too.Maybe it's asking for too much, but it would be cool if they made her a figure and gave her various expressions. or at least 2. One with her neutral face and another with a smile.
>>11658059At the very least, she's easy to toy. No extra bulk or tassles. We'll lose butt, butt it would be impossible to ruin feet and her 6 pack
>>11657830>Also there is something very funny about how much better discussion on Pokemon is here compared to the actual Pokemon board. Jesus that place is miserable. What a board of nothing but furries and DSbabies will do. It was only ever good when it was called /tr/.
After 2 months of no updates, Moncolle shits out another Eeveelution rerelease. No hope for ZA Mega Moncolle at this point.
>>11658259This is why Jizzwhores still lives. They're doing the job Pokemon's own country can't even provide. I bet Japanese collectors import from us too, because I didnt see a single product in any of there stores locally
>>11658283For all the shit we give Jazzwares its impossible to deny that they have been making way more interesting and rare selections in figures while Moncolle just puts out the same shill Pokemon over and over.
Some misc stuff that hasn't been posted here.
>>11658318Takara Tomy sucks.Jazwares forever.
>>11658318So Quilava just has flat feet now
>>11658318What's that Deoxys figure in the background?
>>11658457the sculpt on the jazzwares figure is so bad. the arms and legs don't look right
>>11658548The Jazwares Select one.
>>11658811No. The deoxys in that pic is only like 3" tall and a statue
>>11658548Not much of an answer, but Im singling out Jakks because they only made defense mode, and also Hasbro because they don't have opaque hearts neither
>>11658548Bandai DP2 maybe
>>11658323Jazzwares is bootleg tier
Blokees Nido it's already on some aliexpress listings but super expensive, I really hope the whole stuff about tariffs gets less tense in 2026 because it's shitting all over this line
>>11659918It's Takara Tomy's fault for not making anything
>>11659971>Fuckers charging 2x the price of previous L figsDamn.
>>11659971It's nothing to do with tariffs. They've got popular in other countries due to the price/quality ratio and now can take advantage by starting to pump it up closer to what the Japanese charge.
>>11660116Not really, I'm in asian not-chinese groups and they buy them way cheaper, also anything with international distribution it's just fine like transformers, saint seiya figures are quite cheap over here
>>11659971>>11660112Perhaps being part of the fantastics designation is a way to slow down releases but also raise the price on specific ones. Like a new single release here and there. Ideally they still do the waves of 4 the old way with the old pricing and only the most popular pokes go there.
>>11660206Eh, the latest S wave also showed up on Ali first at a higher price, but it's come down by now.
>>11660208More annoyed that most are only selling them as a set. While cheaper, I only want half of the mons that wave so I'd still be overpaying. Also they've been bootlegging SHF Mega Blaziken the last few months?Read he's very very shitty and I already have the Tomy USA one, so idunno.
>>11660206No real guarantees that there's only one, when the last wave was announced a lot of listings only featured Scyther and Snorlax, if i recall.
>>11660229We should at least get Machamp cause the Nidoking leak was right. Hopefully there's more though.
>>11660112Don't fall for scalpers. Chinks are some of the bigger nastiest scalpers around. Bandai making P-Bandai impossible to get on for anyone outside of Japan is because of Chinese scalpers, they've been so bad that Bandai is even having Amazon limit what and how much of what sells outside of Japan. Eventually some non-scalper listings will come up.
>>11660615I dunno about chinese scalpers but blokees stuff has lots of stock and re-stocks so wainting it's always good, Yellow Hatsune Miku was damn $60 with the earlier aliexpress listings and now you can find her for the regular price of $30
>>11660263Id rather get Machoke, Kadabra, and all other missing mid-evos. Tomy USA already gave Machamp, and Jazwares a placeholder Alakazam
>>11660017But you can get bootlegs for less money is what i meant
>>11660654And where are those bootlegs then? If only Jazwares is making the mon I want, then ill give my money to Jazwares
>>11660615>P-Bandai impossible to get on for anyone outside of JapanYou mean ordering from PB, not PB releases, right? Because Europe doesn't have the supply problem. We can usually get PB releases from stores here well after release. Only EEs and some IPs like Kamen Rider and Star Wars are a pain because of distribution rights.
>>11660645>mfw I have to use the mega construx as placeholder
>>11660767He's just too far from the camera so the renderer switched to his low poly version, please understand.
>>11657044I don't know why exactly but my youtube feed is filled with pokemon card sclaper videos.I have never seen the cartoon, or so much as laid hands on a pokemon product ever but these videos are very upsetting.Tell me what is going on pokebros?
>>11661406It's trending and is associated with whatever else you watch. You watch video games? the algorithm will give you anything related to it
>>11661406The world has gone mad, that's what happened.
>>11661406Tcg is everywhere now, including sports where fanatics bought pwcc and now sports card collectors are getting in on the madness. There's even PSA-graded mystery machines in casinos.
>>11661420Not even shitposting or joking, once when I was at a store I saw that terribke poketuber adrive and one of his buds there and they bought up all the newer pokemon cards there, event prevented a kid from getting a couple of packs and the kid ended up crying because of him.
>>11661453Oops posted too fast, meant to add how tired I am of all the card scalping crap, and fix typo's lol. Seriously though it has gotten so messed up.
>>11661406Adding a bit more context the others haven't mentioned, about a year ago the pokemon pocket app came out and increased the organic demand in people wanting to open real packs. The supply wasn't enough from the spike and when something like that happens it becomes opportunity for scalpers which makes the situation even worse. Packs became impossible to get at retail price and you'd have people lining up on release dates to get msrp packs which would be gone in an instant. Supposedly things have actually cooled down a bit since and a lot of them moved to scalping one piece tcg now lol.
Undecided on if I want to pick up the select Deoxys, anyone wana sway me in other direction? How's the bendy wire arms, do you guys mess with it a lot or just leave it in one pose?
>>11662406Hes very fun to pose, the arms are quite posable. and the other articulations actually fairly good. hes really fun, the only downside is forever stuck on the stand. but hes a great select, id say get him before hes gone
>>11662406Deoxys isnt Marvel Legends or something, so it wont do what they do. Bendy arms will crack no matter how long you own it, even though it hasnt even happened yet. If you need it to stand up, you can remove the base and keep the stand arm attached to it. Also you can get it at Target for half off right now. Go get it, or you'll regret it
>>11662612Been posing defense deoxys since I was 13 and the most that have happened is the rubbery stuff discoloring with time
>>11662560>>11662612Thanks. Regarding the stand thing I like how they're gonna be switching to the one with multiple holes at the base in the future. It's gonna be nice to have 2 humanoids like Deoxys and someone else like Scizor on one base.
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/KGSad-Qjy3Asaw a short with someone with Nidoking in hand already
>>11658318The worst part about Jazzware is everything gets packaged with Pikachu. I want the Drifloon. I don't want a 40th Pikachu.
>>11663446you will buy 1000 pikachus and you will like it
>>11663528Great, I'll be able to choose the one that looks least like a Chinese bootleg. Thanks, Santa!
>>11663528>The angry Pikachu still has fucked up printed eyes after 3 years
There's like a year left of the current gen and moncolle hasn't made Pecharunt yet. The small mythicals pretty much always get made except like Marshadow for some reason but WCT made one.
>Seeing Nidoking at reasonable prices on Ali>No news of the rest of the wave…should I just bite the bullet, then? I’m worried it’s going to end up hard to get if I wait too long.
>>11666255No guarantees there's more, if you're ok with the prices just grab em.
>>11666255Its not a regular wave like the others. Nidoking is part of some different Blokees line and has a different icon on the bottom of the box. The same one that has human characters like Miku or other vocaloids. Maybe they did this so they could release Pokemon one at a time and charge more too.
>>11666294So it's Blokees' Epic, then? ok i guess
>>11666579>Blokees' EpicNot any larger than Snorlax, no
>>11666579yeah like he said above, Nidoking is the same size as other like Charizard and smaller than Snorlax. The base and all that is the same size too. This just feels like a way to charge more.
>>11666294>Maybe they did this so they could release Pokemon one at a time and charge more too. That's what I thought too. It was fun seeing waves of 4 being revealed close to each other and then being able to get the ones you want shortly after the reveal. If they're moving towards single drops I hope they can sneak in a trainer here and there just to test how well they do.
>>11666580>>11666585yikes, the 3P statue only cost me like $30 back then
canada finally got new 6 inch select figures after over a year. i found the gallade noivern and armarouge wave at gamestop in markham.
>>11666798Thanks for the heads up. But man, wanted Charizard X too, this wave isn't that exciting to me. I think what happened over the last year is that Toys R Us stopped ordering and closed half their stores so we just missed out on waves. Hopefully going forward gamestop gets all the waves again like in the beginning.
My Bulbasaur and Squirtle should be here soon, hopefully followed by Corphish and Nidoking. Looking forwards to 'em, they look great, especially for the prices.I would like to see trainers but I hope they do them a bit smaller than some of their other human figures- I got their Rei and she's huge, close to 1/10 scale.
>>11666834yeah it sucks we never got the mega charizard wave or the entei wave. i really wanted deoxys.
>>11666798Interesting. Still priced at 29.99? These have mostly been bad figures, so I'm not sure how keen on these I am. Looks like things might be getting back on track with upcoming pokemon though. Might get Noivern and call it there.
>>11666948Noivern will be bad to. The joints on it suck and it won't scale good. Mega Charizard Y, Scizor, and Blastoise look like the start of the better figures.
>>11666950Ya, my logic was more that it isnt as likely to get made again. I could see Blokees down the line getting to Armarouge and/or Gallade. Noivern not as much. And ya, agreed about those 3.
Any where I can get Blokees Meowscarada still? Never bought one of these and I don't know how far I trust some of the listings on aliexpress.
>>11666865I'm still waiting for the new S wave to become ~5 ea for my region. Also dropped Gundamit a ticket asking if they'll get Nidoking. After getting same-arms with the first wave, I need my support safety lol>>11666978There are no bootlegs, so you're safe on that front.Just check seller ratings.
>>11666983I see. Felt apprehensive cause one seller had the bandai logo plastered on the images of the Blokees one and I didn't want to end up with the bandai kit.
>>11666948yep still 30 bucks
December's checklist update. Not much new stuff came out last month. Just:-Select 6" Noivern, Armarouge and Gallade that are out in some countries and hitting US Targets on the 11th-4.5" Wave 22 (all repacks - Charizard, Gengar, Decidueye, Tyranitar) is out at Gamestop and Targets-Valentine's 2-pack wave (all repacks of prev. year packs) is out at Target-US 4" Vinyl Wave 6 (Pika, Growlithe, Treecko Mudkip) is out at Target-Clip n Go Wave 22 (Sandshrew, Honedge, Clefairy, etc) is out at Walmart
>>11667074>Blastoise Selecthttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1PSvWR4dZKc
>>11666798I'm curious about something. Youre pretty close to the US. Do you ever think about making plans to go across the border just to pick them up at a nearby Target? Also curious how it compares to international shipping from there too
>>11667387i don’t have a vehicle so crossing the border isn’t really an option for me. target doesn’t ship here and ebay prices aren’t worth it.
>>11667330Happy for you boss
>>11667711What about Greyhound? Looks like a round trip doesnt even reach $100
I want a Meowscarada toyWhat’s my best option
>>11667857Blokees
>>11667857There is not a perfect one but the only 2 real options are:>Blokees. If you want good posability, grass attack effect parts and a more humanoid sculpt. Downside: is not 1/12 if you wanted that, more close to 1/18>Bandai Plamo. Good for 1/12, has a nice matte finish. Downside: Fragile as fuck, can barely hold a pose
>>11667785Why are you suggesting this anon pay up to $100 for bus tickets to go pick up some toys across the border? At that point just pay a small markup when ordering on ebay or something.
>>11657048Is this fuck gonna appear on Gundamnit?
>>11668065>>11666983They told me they're checking with their partner who's in charge of supplying Blokees to them.
>>11667906I mean it's like $40 US for a round trip just to get a toy that might be available right now
>>11668094Let's goooo!
>>11670075lol imagine being a retard that overpaid
>>11670075I have waited 25 years for this.
>>11667882Blokee's plastic is also matte, yet you don't consider that a positive. Blokee's plastic is actually better quality. Plamo suffers from stickers and joints that are a bit less aesthetically pleasing. Plamo is only 1/12 scale, and you have to be careful with that scale. Scale World and Moncolle is quite nice too.
>>11670075Someone on the discord got Nidoking. Looks pretty good
>>11670075Got mine a few days ago actually! He's really cool; tail pops off a bit easily and I wish he had a waist joint but that aside he's fantastic. Very expressive and fun to mess with. Hope they do a Nidoqueen to go with him.I think my favourite of the bigger ones is Scyther, but Nidoking is a close second.
>>11670750Looks nice. Really like that effect piece.
>>11670750How is Scyther? Regret not going for him.
>>11671088NTA but Scyther is great. Worst thing I can say is he could use some more joints in his legs but he's super fun to pose, especially given how dead-on he is to the games/anime/art.
>>11671167>he could use some more joints in his legsNo, there are joints in all the places the Pokemon is able to move at in the Pokemon world. It doesn't have knees that bend so his leg movement is accurate. It's a great figure. All the Blokees are.
>>11671249>No, there are joints in all the places the Pokemon is able to move at in the Pokemon world. It's a toy, not a anatomical model.
>>11671604So you'd be fine with human figures having an extra elbow joint on the middle of their forearms? Same kind of thing. The scyther figure moves fine and exactly like it does in the anime and games. If they added more joints then it wouldn't be accurate.
>>11657044I saw a new wave of pokeballs and i wanted to get the sandshrew on the back of the package but it wasnt their. Then i tried to see if i could get him off of ebay instead and no one has it. Is the sandshrew even available currently?
>>11671249Eh, Pokemon is very inconsistent with that sort of thing. Ariados for example, its weird little back-limbs are sometimes fully segmented/jointed and sometimes (notably in Stadium 2/Colosseum/Battle Revolution) more like wobbly antenna/tentacles. I think knees on Scyther would have been nice where the green shin meets the grey thigh, but don't get me wrong, he's great....Blokees Ariados when? Love that spooder dude.
>>11671720The wave was just found for the first time a few days ago and it might be walmart not carrying all of them. For other waves they have only gotten the starters for example.
Does a figure of Gourgeist this small exist? Does Gourgeist have ANY figures?
>>11671802Forgot pic
>>11671796Ive seen that wave at three different walmarts and the only new ones i noticed was squirtle in a new pose, the sword pokemon, and clefairy
Welp, I bought Nidoking for $35.00, which isn't too bad considering other prices I see him go for. Love my Charizard and Scyther so he should be awesome too. I may pull the trigger on Snorlax, does anyone have and recommend him?
>>11671829All the blokees are fantastic in articulation and accessories. They are just smaller than most other things like figmas, shf and jazzwares figures.
>>11671829I watched a bunch of reviews of it and it seems great. I ended up not getting it cause for this Pokemon being big just mattered too much. I don't mind others like Scyther or Nidoking being smaller but I'd want a really big Snorlax. Grab it if you don't care about the size.
>>11671802>Does Gourgeist have ANY figures?https://myfigurecollection.net/?_tb=item&orEntries%5B%5D=81086&rootId=0
>>11671862I got the piggybank years ago which works for size.
>>11671870Wicked cool toys/Jazwares really should've made their Snorlax the Vensaur epic size. But WCT early on already made it a battle feature figure and now they won't double up. It would've been a perfect minimally articulated big fig.
I guess we have a pic of the Select Blastoise, hope it's just a prototype, it looks kinda off imo.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VpTB_JJDePM
>>11672139Nevermind that, Porygon2 baby!
>>11671658>So you'd be fine with human figures having an extra elbow joint on the middle of their forearms?Lots of figures do that due to the unflexable nature of plastic
>>11672139>Incin gets articulated fingersHell yeah, I can’t wait to see how they fuck up the rest of the sculpt.
>>11672197Hopefully they make Porygon-Z too to finish the line.>>11672255Middle finger Incin incoming
>>11672255Guess that more or less confirms Lucario/Zeraora height
>>11672630Despite having the Tomy Incineroar already, I'll probably still get it even if it's as big as Zeraora.
>>11672255someone on discord posted pics of the grey sample of blastoise and the articulation is different than the final fig's articulation ended up. So there's a chance the incineroar final figure won't have the jointed figures the grey sample shows

>>11673443pics? others were only finding half of the wave there

>>11673537Sweet. Hope all stores get the full wave. Did you see clefairy, honedge and squirtle at the store that had sandshrew?
The ball and fx are alright, but jesus christ that pikachu, how horrifying
The prices make you cry, too

Got the king. It’s a bit of a mixed bag. It’s definitely a faithful representation of the 3D model, which in itself reveals why it’s difficult to communicate in physical/articulated form. Looking back at specific Blokees releases like Charizard and now Nidoking, you can get a pretty good idea of how Blokees (maybe with TPC’s oversight) places articulation, particularly for these more pear-shaped monsters. In short, it seems like they’re very unwilling to add articulation that would compromise the sculpt, or the continuum of the lines. While a waist or pec crunch/swivel would have definitely added a lot to this mold, it would break the lines of the belly “armor.” The most elegant solution I’ve ever seen to something like this was Shodo’s Tyranitar- I’ll have to pull him out of storage for comparison. So, you have a very articulate tail, arms and legs that do what you might expect, and a head that is sort of neat. I guess I’ve just never noticed how limited Nidoking’s arms are, but the articulation here is faithful… but not satisfying. I like how Blokees designs the hips to splay out in an attempt to allow for leaned/lunging poses, and it sometimes works. The head solution allows for some decent vertical range, but it sacrifices mouth articulation a bit.Overall, when you can get any pictures in profile, he looks decent- regal, even. But otherwise, it’s kind of hard to make him look like he’s doing anything. The most enjoyable poses I’ve gotten really speak to his role as a Baragon stand-in: a weird rabbit lizard that can stab things with his silly horn. Sorry for the blog post.
