Blokees have been making great strides lately and making good use of their licenses. What does /toy/ think of them? I find their rate of growth quite impressive especially for the quality of their pseudo-model kit figures.
>>
>>11657092
The shilling of this brand here is so inorganic it's not even funny. Try harder.
>>
>>11657096
it may appear that way but i genuinely do like Blokees. Hasbro ain't making any Marvel Rivals figures and as far as I know only Blokees is making them
>>
>>11657097
Good. Because Marvel Rivals is ass.
>>
>>11657092
They're making a lot of things I've wanting good figures of for a while so I'm really liking them so far. I really didn't expect there stuff to be so high quality too, when I first bought something of there's I thought it would be some dinky little thing that felt poorly made but was pleasantly surprised in the end.

I just hope they do some better rider and sentai stuff some time. I dont like the lego hands.
>>
shf troons are seething hard because they made a better rei
>>
>>11657097
>Hasbro ain't making any Marvel Rivals figures
The leaked list shows them making some. Probably early 2026. It was mostly boring picsk like Punisher, Magneto, Iron Man, Venom, Jeff though. The only woman was Luna but they are locking her in a two pack with Spider Man I think it was.
>>
>>11657092
Blokees is a breath of fresh air to me.
It sucks that they are too expensive for amerimutts so we have idiots crying about "shills" on /toy/.
In europe you can buy them for like 2 bucks and there are shit ton of cool stuff inside.

FUCKING 2-5 BUCKS FOR AWESOME ARTICULATED FIGURE
>>
>>11657210
didnt they make kuuga lately? i think i saw that
>>11657225
i wont lie i do get tempted to buy their TF stuff at 7-11s even though they always mark up the price there

They are clearly aiming to dominate the whole market, if anything it was the usa fatman who stopped that for a bit because now americans are bitter about Blokees lol. They were about to launch a Harry Potter line that suddenly disappeared probably because of that. They also are making better waifus everyday
>>
>>11657225
>FUCKING 2-5 BUCKS
I paid 7.99 for one of these from Hobbytown USA. I know they don't have the *best prices* but it still was nice for what my nephew got.
>>
>>11657092
>pseudo-model kit figures
nothing pseudo about it they're just model kits
>>
>>11657323
>They are clearly aiming to dominate the whole market
Not being widely available in western market is literally the only thing that holds the gates and prevents whole world turning crazy about Blokess.

Blokees has the best Pokemon figures.
And one of the best transformers figures.
and now they doing marvel and Jurassic World.
the only thing that is a "problem" is that most of Blokees exist in China. (even in europe i see only Transformers stuff for now)
>>
>>11657230
Yeah I posted about it in toku. It has have good reviews so far.
>>
I have trouble putting the elbow and knee joints together, but otherwise i really like them. Fun series and the finished figures look nice enough.
>>
Where is the whole blokees releases list?
i had no idea they had Jursassic World toys.
it seems that there is always something knew hidden in their series.
>>
>>11657096
I genuinely hate them just due to how much they’re shilled here. Total Shill Death
>>
>>11657384
keep in mind they're tiny and scale with hot wheels but only cost me a few dollars
>>
>>11657359

>pure licenseslop

Wake me up when they launch an original IP or something other than comic book mainstream Hollywood shit.

I do like the concept of the toy though
>>
>>11657337
im talking about their miku and pokemon. you have to assemble them but theyre not really model kits. just disassembled figures being sold as model kits to avoid clashing with other brands I guess. kinda like how some candy toys are being sold as candy to kids so they can be put on candy aisle
>>
>>11657389
they're just...good. that's it. I have their Miku, stormtrooper, Charizard, and Eva unit 1 and they're all just very good and very cheap. I can't help but shill them. Blokees is qualityslop.
>>
>>11657636
correct me if im wrong but i believe herospire is their original IP based on chinese mythology
>>
>>11657653
I’m tired of seeing them on this board, I’m tired of seeing their name mentioned, I’m tired of the shilling, and I’m tired of them irl

Now that they are doing DC, I assume they should be able to found somewhere on the fucking mainland. I suppose I'll need to pay attention to WalMart, which I hate as a chain, an e-commerce site and just in general.

Totally sucks that they are wanking the bat for the first set of DC. Fucking casuals.

Definitely isn't. Far as I can tell Blokees is making original DC designs for their Champion Class. They're definitely busy, but I'm not usually opposed to original takes. This one feels more Murder Machine than Batman Beyond though.

>>11657225
Sure but I like my transformers being actual transformers. The fact that places like Walmart have done away with their deluxe and Voyager space for boxes of blokees make me hate them out of association.

They obviously don't transform because they are not meant to compete with hasbro, even with that some of the new ones can transform but it's a very basic morph

I found the same figures on Ali with shipping fee for 50-60 bucks.
>>
>>11660828
Nice looking figures, they are in the same line as the Miku ones so I'm gonna guess they are overpriced online because of underproduction compared to how we have stock of every blokees miku at $25-30
>>
>>11660828
>I found the same figures on Ali with shipping fee for 50-60 bucks.
looked into it and they're a little expensive for sure, but I find about how it's a fully assembled figure instead of a model kit the price is (slightly) justified
also I find kinda funny how in the box art, one is doing Mona's splash art pose and the other is doing Nahida's

my first blokees. while you dont need tool to build it, the guide book fucking sucks. a lot of unlabeled parts. as the figure itself its exactly what you get for the price, decent range but cant do extreme pose, the orange color is somehow different. on top its doff middle glossy and the hip is doff again. good enough for not so favorite toys
>>
Got Scyther in yesterday. He's really cool and pretty easy to assemble. I wish the legs had a bit more articulation but given the design he's very fun to pose and he looks great. Also the base with the bamboo is neat.

>>
How fragile are these things? Do I put them in my gundam model kit cabinet, or on my action figure shelf?
>>
>>11664469
some of them are basically disassembled figures like their miku or pokemon stuff. their actual model kits like evas arent as fragile as you would think. the joints are tight. however, some kits like the stormtrooper use a thin knee joint that you should be aware of. ive never seen it break or broke mine but just something for you to keep in mind
>>
Got this for Christmas. It was fun for a few minutes to build but it is just a snap together not a real model kit. Honestly it feels a little flimsy and cheap to me. I'm not sure how much they retail for here in Canada but I wouldn't seek these out unless they really had something I want and even then I wouldn't want to spend more than $10 on something like this.
I am not a regular here in /toy/ so this is just a tourist opinion.

Pardon the shitty photo, but I got my Blokees Rei in. She's a mixed bag.
Good:
>Nice sculpting in general
>Very cute face
>Feels solidly made
>Decent price
Not so good:
>Way too big to fit with most figures, she's dead-on 6"
>Whilst pretty, the face doesn't seem quite right somehow in a way I can't quite pinpoint
>Articulation surprisingly limited; no thigh swivels (though the clever hip engineering makes up for that a bit), knees and elbows just go slightly past 90 and no waist joint of any kind
For what I paid for her (£20!) she's good, but I'm glad I have the SHF coming.

After so many reis it seems that the only one that actually looks like her is the plamo one, this Blokees one does have pretty face and a nice body but doesn't really looks like her
>>
>>11666571
welcome to the wonderful world of chang 1/12s where chang doesn't actually understand what 1/12 means. funnily enough their stormtrooper is too short which is kinda weird. their stormtrooper fits better with figma than other blokees
>>
>>11666601
I have noticed that- seems like Blokees went to the McFarlane school of scale.
>>
>>11666601
>>11666602
lol stop crying, McFarlane scale is better than tiny man 1/12 hascuck shit, 4horsemen mythic legion are 7 inch, neca is 7 inch, mezco is 7 inch, stop crying
>>
>>11666596
You're right, Blokees Rei looks like other anime character cosplaying as Rei instead of being Rei herself.
>>
>>11666601
Almost no one that supposedly does 1/12 does a true 1/12 desu, legends and hasbro in general are too off, shf and figma are too tiny, Revo does gigantic anime characters and then midget realistic characters. At least blokees has never said that they follow a scale, they only have "classes"

>shf and figma are too tiny
Figma mostly does Asian anime high school girls who should be tiny at 1:12 scale. Only some of their males and western characters are too small at 1:14 scale. SHF has some taller figures that fit true 1:12 scale unless they are Toku or DBZ which are smaller.

Officially non-scale, but the ones based on real folks tend to be too tall. SHF are a bit more of a mixed bag. But you're correct, no one is following scale religiously.

It's a shame that they've strayed a little from the manga style in the recent Gold Saints faceplates. Shura doesn't have the angular face he has in the manga; it's much more softed. Deathmask's are less harsh than in the manga or even in Michi Himeno's drawings. Which in my opinion are the best rendition of the character because they strike a perfect balance between the manga and Araki's design. Maybe they'll improve on that with the Surplice versions.

what are we comparing here? the classics/fantastics class stuff to marvel legends and other 1/12? hard to say desu. to me blokees seems like they are more competing with japanese brands like bandai with the eva, miku, saint seiya, detective conan, stuff etc. I'd love a blokees chun li tho god I hope they get street fighter licenses. jada SF stuff look kinda gummy

dont get me wrong. i dont think marvel legends is great at all (although their gameverse psylocke infinitely mogs the shit out of Mafex's) Anyways, your question was open-ended and I was asking specifically *because* Blokees has a wide range of toys. youre better off comparing them with lego minifigs and bllind boxes and yes they do pump shit out fast particularly in that 1/12 scale japanese brands than any other western brand)

>im talking about their miku and pokemon. you have to assemble them but theyre not really model kits. just disassembled figures being sold as model kits to avoid clashing with other brands I guess. kinda like how some candy toys are being sold as candy to kids so they can be put on candy aisle

I imagine it is to avoid paying for safety and drop testing and to avoid paying a small crew to assemble them. Probably helps keep rhe peice down
>>
>>11668335
No. It's to be able to step around the licensing restrictions. Other companies have the licenses for figures in those sizes and/or price points. So by selling them disassembled, they can call them model kits and they technically fall into a different category as far as the license is concerned.
>>
The transformer blind bags are great for the money...if walmart has them.

$5 for a 3.5 inch figure with ankle rockers, elbows, kneas, etc is nuts right now. Might be one of the cheapest ok figs a kid could get.

There is no real reason to shit on them. They are a pretty good toy for what theybare
>>
>>11668339
It could be all of the above, you know?
>>
>>11667961
That would be cool, I just hope they'd make them actual 1:12 instead of the 1:10 they did with the Eva girls.
>>
Wish they would lean in and make the few female robuts curvier and/or show accurate.

Since they dont transform, there is zero reason to bend over backwards to make the goofy transformations work. Just make spicy little robots to put on my shelf.

I get that they want to sell pallets of these things to Walmart but come on. Its like 25 to 45 year olds buying the most of them.
>>
>>11668549
the transformers bayverse stuff do look slightly "squished" so they probably wont make it as curvy as it was if it was 1:1 with the film. they do give their miku a whole panties part so I dont think theyre opposed to the idea of coomery figures, especially considering eva girls. maybe its just the bayverse toys. however, we can pray they could pull hot babe out of the comics and make something good out of that since their comic stuff seems more "full-sized" if you get what I mean by that

I wouldn't hold my breath. They didnt give the 86 movie arcee any hips or ass. No idea why as a lot of the male tf blokees have exacerbated male features like big shoulders. Comparing springer and arcee, springer has both bigger hips and ass.

the Ultraman is from Bandai's SHF Shinkocchou Seihou line. I overpaid for mine (including shipping) but the price that it goes for nowadays for my country is around RM250-RM300 which is about 60-75USD converted. Blokees does also make Ultraman model kits but they are bigger than a 1/12. They are called Legend Editions. I heard they are phenomenal kits, way better than Bandai's FRS Ultra kits.

>>
I heard they might make a Megaman set is this true or just made up?? Is there a website ot a list of all the lines they make? I tried going to their website but it’s kind of a clusterfuck to navigate and idk if it even has their full product range to see what else they have. I’m interested in seeing what different lines they have for part swapping and mix and match fun. (Poor man’s xevoz) I primarily like the transformers they made and was surprised to find they seem to make model kits that are normal 1:1 proportions that look much larger than the transformers which are only maybe 3 inches or so?
>>
>>11660297
>Their Eva kits are low key amazing. They feel like action figures not models when built.

So, they're like the larger Pokemon figures? Like do they feel more like build a figures? I have seen vid reviews, and they look like standard kits like a Gundam, instead of a few parts to snap together like the Asuka and Rei. Do they have a more pvc feel?

>>11660959
As much as I like the Chogokin Spec and Kotobukiya, their proportions were always a little off. The Spec's have too wide a torso and the Koto's shoulders are too narrow. The Blokee is really accurate, probably the closest to the TV show other than the old Bandai kits or Sega Real Models. Only thing I don't like is the metallic finish.

>>11660980
>I am seeing metalic and non metalic versions. Was one of them a special edition or something? They don't list the TV evas on their main website for some reason.

I am wondering this too, anyone know? I want TV Evas so bad, but I want something that's a solid figure, I already have the old Bandai Kits.
>>
>>11673281
Their small pokemon like Charmander are too big next to their larger ones like Charizard. So a human closer to 1/10 would look better next to the small ones while something closer to 1/12 would scale better with the large ones like zard.
>>
>>11673281
I don't care about scale all that much desu. If they made the main cast from the anime I would buy all of them. I would love figures of the old Sugimori art trainers from the first three generations also.
>>
>>11673302
ive been trying to find out about that actually. im trying to contact one of the blokees fandom wikia contributors to ask them about release schedules and product info.
>>
>>11673327
the eva kits feel like your standard model kits. the joints are tight, but they still have a hollow weightless feeling. you could of course fill this in with plasticine or something to give it more solidity. I have their Marvel Rivals spiderman and it feels solid, almost like a figure. it definitely feels like any old figure after I gave it a matte topcoat. the way the spiderman kit is built, the pieces kind of fill each other into completeness, for lack of a better term. only the hard plastic feel remains but after a matte topcoat it's basically a solid figure
