Has there ever been a figure that got cancelled or remained unmade that made you genuinely seethe at a company before? I remember being extremely ticked off when spin master refused to make a 4-inch figure of the riddler for their the batman toyline even though he was the main villain of the movie. And low and behold the toyline rotted at shelves because all they made for it where catwoman and a penguin figure that didnt even look like collin ferrel.

The Legend of dragoon figures. After playing the game people wanted the figures in "dragoon mode," but instead they never got delivered. BBI made one version of them, they sucked, the line flopped, and didn't bother to produce what would have absolutely sold well.

I'm still mad about it.

I don't get unreasonably mad at companies that will never know I exist. Too much of a waste of energy tbqh. I just move on with my life. I have more significant things to focus my rage on.

Im gonna say it, as much as i dont want them to lose the license in some ways its kind of karmic justice that playmates is loosing TMNT after they cancelled so many figures that they showed off at like toyfairs and other venues over the years

Yeah.

Right around the time the Shanghai Sniffles ramped up a Chinese company announced a great 1/12 soft goods WWII German figure that never materialized. Dont think the company released anything at all, actually. I still seeth that McFarlane didn't release that 5" scale Falcon for their Halo line.

I'm mad at Blizzard for fucking up every single StarCraft line in the pipeline at multiple toy companies, but especially mad at them for fucking up the Megabloks starcraft which would have been the absolute perfect way to make a StarCraft toyline.

This is how they should have been made. It was so simple to get it right. It's like they went out of their way to absolutely fuck up the line.

No, but I have been sad in said circumstance. The Toy Story Minis line was enjoyable to collect. They had several great waves and a wide variety of characters. It seemed like it was doing fine, especially because there were about 3 new waves being planned for with characters previously missing. None of those waves ever came out, and 1 or 2 of those many character got released in a box set. The box set was a repackage of many other minifigures that most collectors would have already owned, so I don't think it sold as well as it should have.
Likewise, they made a Pixar minis line that was really neat too. It also had several good waves with good character selections. Both the Toy Story and Pixar waves have been MIA for a few years now. Oh well, nothing lasts forever and it did pretty good for awhile. I wish it could have finished out on a bang instead of quietly being stopped. Toy companies should work on their communications with customers.

Im still pissed they didnt produce twitch from that line. I have no idea why that line stopped so abruptly

Beast Deities, that 3rd party company who made Broly. The stuff they sent to Gundamit are subpar factory rejects. Worse materials. worse finish, worse joints. Basically a bootleg compared to the first release. Because of that I wont buy a single 3rd party Dragon Ball figure ever again.

Tunshi Studio, they include warranty cards to their figures, but for the sake of having them for a premium feel, as they don't even bother to respond to those emials.

I'm still mad that the Haslab sentinel hasn't even gotten a re-run, wider production, nothing. I understand that Haslab shit is supposed to be limited but it feels like a kick in the balls to have something like that where it'd be cool to have multiples and the only option is to pay triple price aftermarket on some shit that's already too expensive. The newer smaller one is okay I guess but I loved the more techno look on the big guy.

It's not just StarCraft. Blizzard toys suck big balls, they always cancel every toyline before it can even start to bloom.

(a) No one wants a plastic toy of Paul Dano.
(b) No one wants a plastic toy of Dano playing a version of the Riddler that's not the actual Riddler but some Incel Fanboy

Cats.
>>
>>11662265
My theory was the guys that made the toys never played the game or saw more than the first 20 minutes of it and went from there.
Because it still this many decades later does not make sense to me why someone would make a toyline for the game yet not include a single Dragoon at all.

When Super 7 shipped out waves 8 and 9 of TMNT ultimates before wave 7 and offered no explanation for the multi year delay all while taking preorders for waves 10 and 11.

I thought the explanation had something to do with difficulties with tooling Guerilla Gorilla. I might be remembering wrong and people just assumed that was the reason without an explanation ever being given.

I hate what an established presence Neca and McFarlane has. None of their lines are interesting, and their quality isnt right. The only reason they exist is because we don't have a choice

It took a few days but today i remembered.
It was Hasbro when they killed off the most recent retro Gi joe revival. The series was doa due to covid and distrobution and just a very small line up. They were great figures imo and i really enjoyed them despite the pain in the ass it was to even find the fuckers. They made 3 vehcles and repainted one but my dumbass was happy with my blue Hiss tank. Idk, so blah blah blah Hasbro shit and Walmart shit combined to poop all over a series i was enjoying.
Then i find out aboutHasbro doing o-ring figures instead of their ME retro line and fucking cracked. Im sure i embarassed myself in gi joe general over the skystriker haslab. I was really furious that hasbro killed a line i really really enjoyed and thought was a good figure for some shitty looking bootleg retro figures. And heres the kicker, hasbro basically gave up on orings and sold some license agreement to Super 7 for orings and Hiya Toys for a modern figure.
Fuck you Hasbro
Ps- I didnt mention Power Rangers. you fuck wit

Im mad that hasbro killed 3.75 gi joe too. I hate classified in a way for being more 1/12 slop that replaced the superior 3.75 joe toys (tho im a bit of a hypocrite since i own several classified figures too) and i just wish it would come back but i know deep down it probably never will. I hated how they killed off modern 1/18 joe but was still happy we got o-ring 1/18 figures from hasbro but they dont even do that anymore either. Fuck hasbro
