The first Overwatch figures since the Funko days are officially available now on Popmart.

They are adorable, but fuck blind boxes.
>>
hopefully snail shell would pick up overwatch and give us a tracer
>>

Oh huh, spooky we'd get an OW thread now. I managed to score the Carbon Fiber 4-pack for a pretty good deal. I know the Hasbro figures weren't exactly amazing but for the price (£35) it was too good a deal to pass on and worst case scenario they'll make good customs fodder.

>Snail Shell Overwatch
Fuck yes please. If they did a good Mei I think I could die peacefully.

I haven't even played the game in a couple of years, but I would turn up if we got a good figure of my main.

snail shell would be wasting time and resources having to deal with blizzard instead of continuing to make original product. Didn't over watch fail too? Doesn't look good.

fucking lame

My dream OVW-line would be Blokees but witha ll kinds of characters and waves including additional skins
>>
>>11664036
Fuck, that'd be perfect.
>>
>>11664053
i'm 100% sure we would get it if Blokees existed back when overwatch was peak
>>
>>11664059
I'm pretty mad the game got mismanaged into the fucking ground. The fact we'll likely never get decent figures of a good chunk of the cast is really annoying, especially as they're really toyetic designs. Also the game was actually pretty enjoyable to start with. I've been tempted to try out Overwatch 2 but between limited game time nowadays (I'm a dad) and the shitty freemium model, nah.
>>
>>11664033
>Didn't over watch fail too?

It's still in the top 15 most played online games in the world. It would probably have to be an Asian company though, it's way more popular in Asia than in America and Europe currently.
>>
>>11664105
>freemium

FWIW, they walked back the "pay for heroes" aspect immediately. All the microtransactions are cosmetic only nowadays.
>>
>>11664123
Oh huh. Might give it a try then. I did enjoy the first one, would be nice to get back into a semi-regular game to play.
>>
>>11664105

It pains me to no end the only Tokki we got was a Funko pop.
>>
>>11664126
I got into it when the TF2 comic finally wrapped and gave me closure. It's been a blast so far. Some of the newer hero designs are kinda fucky, but I really like Juno and Venture.
>>
>>11664135
Fair enough! Might as well install it then. Worst case scenario I get bored and stop playing again.

based retard (and lego/funko is not even the only mech figure we got. including recolors and etc.)
>>
>>11664167
Yeah, I forgot the LEGO. If there's a non-LEGO, non-Funko meka, please tell me.
>>11664154
Man, this shit used to have breakfast cereals, LEGO sets, and Nerf guns. How did Blizzard fuck it all up? Could a Netflix series even save it at this point?

Blizzard will screw it up as they always do. Multiple companies have attempted to make figures for Blizzard and the line always dies early and suddenly. With the demand for their characters to be made into figures, and the variety of companies who've attempted that feat, the only real common denominator in their failures is Blizzard itself.

Seeing how poorly they manage their own games, I can't imagine how awful they are at licensing out their characters to toy companies.
>>
>>11664218
Yeah, I think this is it. Licensees may have put up with Blizzard's BS while they were the biggest game in the world, but now they have less reason to.
>>
>>11664002
I don't even want Mei for coom. I just have no ice element characters. But i wont say no to coom
>>

Eh, I only care about Tracer. As long as they make her I'm good. Sorry for genuine Overwatch fans though.

I would take any sort of Mei. Normal, coomer, gimmick skin, anything as long as it actually looked like her. She was my favorite character to play back when I played Overwatch and it is a shame such a cute girl never got much of anything.
>>11665611
There was also a 3rd party one that I think could fit the Figma if I remember correctly. Probably hard to find these days though.
>>
>>11664173
Good Smile made one for the Nendo.
>>
>>11663932
I would want Juno and Kiriko in literally any other outfit but her base
Dealing with Blizzard is probably never going to happen though
>>
>>11664033
>snail shell would be wasting time and resources having to deal with blizzard
As long as Blizzard doesnt require them to do woke shit then it would be worth just for Tracer since she's a guaranteed draw plus she doesnt really need much accessories. It would be enough to offset the headache they get from Blizzard.

Im still pissed at lego for canceling this set. It had my waifu mei in it and lego couldve absolutely ignored all the #MehTurd controversy and released it anyways but of course as usual lego had to be a bunch of moralfaggots about the situation and needlessly cancel the set.

Got Figma Tracer in today after I snagged her for cheap on eBay. Thought I'd do a quick comparison with the Hasbro one (though full disclosure, my Hasbro Tracer has had her neck and left wrist replaced due to breakage).
Figma is a hair smaller than Hasbro but not by much.
Detail is on the whole much sharper on the Figma; the only thing the Hasbro has over it is the hex pattern on the side of her legs, and even then the paint is quite sloppy so it's barely noteworthy.
I will say I prefer the glossy finish on the Hasbro's legs.
Build quality is a thousand times better on the Figma. The left wrist and neck joints both cracked at the "loop" of the hinges on the Hasbro ones, which necessitated replacement joints from my bits box.

Butt sculpts are about on par, but Figma wins it for the famed Figma ass tech. Though again, the glossier tights on the Hasbro look nicer IMO.
Hasbro can store the mine on the back, Figma can't.
Figma comes with far more hands, 3 faces and a stand. Hasbro comes with a few hands and some shooting effects which don't really stay on.

Articulation is a slaughterhouse; Figma wins by a country mile. Hasbro has double jointed knees which give a tiny bit more range but Figma's knees are still plenty good, and the Figma has much better range everywhere else, especially the arms. The elbows bend over 90, there's full axis of movement at the wrists, etc.

Surprise win for the Hasbro one is the headsculpt. Figma isn't bad at all but it's obviously based on the artwork rather than the game model, with tampographed eyes instead of the sculpted and printed eyes of the Hasbro. And the Hasbro face is actually really cute- I'm shocked they did such a good job on this.

Also with some very minimal work you can take Hasbro's goggles off.
(Apologies for the superglue frosting on the Hasbro one BTW, need to get the rest of them off. Repairing her was a pain.)
Overall I'd say the Figma is definitely the better figure overall, BUT the Hasbro one could be a lot worse, and she does have a very cute face. If you can find a way to adapt the Hasbro head to the Figma body that might actually make for a really good looking Tracer.
>>
>>11669846
Thanks for the breakdown, Anon. Hasbro's biggest strength seemed to be balancing quality and cost, since I know figmas were about three times more expensive, but some of the Hasbro figs go for a lot more nowadays.

Sorry, those are shitty phone pics (I have a nice camera but was too lazy to get it and the lightbox out and put the pics on my computer). I need to get back into taking actual photos.
