>>11665155Some Youtuber with "inside information" claims:
Someone made a 3D-printed Moccasin that's actually pretty cool. https://www.etsy.com/listing/4348871403/gi-joe-classified-cobra-water-moccasinI am holding out a little bit longer to see if Hasbro makes an official one. If they don't then at least there's a back-up plan for getting one.
>>11665162If official I hope both Water Moccasin and Thunder Machine are MTO like the Arctic Hiss Tank. I can't see either being Haslabs nor would they be similarly priced and sized to the VAMP, both have to be bigger
>>11665539The Moccasin wouldn't be that big and really doesn't have a lot to it. I don't see why it would be a MTO instead of a general release. I totally see the Thunder Machine as a HASLAB. Hasbro needs something that's still cool but won't be as expensive as the $400 Snow Cat. I can see Hasbro selling the shit out of it for around $250 - $300 provided that the unlocks are good too.
>>11665162Heartwrencher must be like what happens with Marvel Legends all the time, where a leak list has some some D-List Spider-man villain or whoever on it that sounds like bullshit but is too specific to be some wild prediction and too low tier to be a forgone conclusion and then it does end up being true
>>11665552If they just do a Zarana repaint like they've done with her before, then it'll be an easy one for them to do.
Anyonre want a Ghost Viper? It's on sale for $44.95https://www.youtube.com/shorts/r_DwDjlZIXs
>>11665538>>11665539If they could drop that Fortnite boat a few years back for $80 I can see the Moccasin coming out for $100ish today. They'd be similarly sized and the Moccasin is mostly empty plastic anyway. No reason it needs to be a MTO item like the HISS tank which has way more moving parts and detailed internals. The only real question is, will they pull a SNAKE Armor with it and not pack a driver, cram some green painted generic trooper into it and call it a Swamp Trooper, or just give us a third straight repaint of Copperhead? Also, just had a random thought. I wish the Classified HISS Tank, specifically the Arctic one, had a hatch that covered the gunner seat. Like, there should be enough room in there for the gunner to sit fully enclosed inside the body of the tank, so having a hatch up top would have finally addressed one my biggest complaints about the HISS as a "Tank". That's one of the few things the Retaliation movie did right, as it put an enclosed turret on it's HISS tanks. And then the toy comes out and despite having enough space to have an enclosed turret, it instead has the figure sit even MORE exposed then the old HISS tanks. That Toyline had this incredible ability to be both awesome and awful at the same time, often with each individual release. The ideas and sculpts were there, but the quality and cheapness of the builds just hamstrung the entire line at every turn. Except it's last wave, that wave was awesome.
>>11665716There's nothing to a moccasin. There's no reason for it to have a high price. They'd be better off selling it without a figure than making up some new "Cobra swamp viper" or some crap for it. The lack of a figure would also make it a little bit cheaper.
>>11665162I kinda don't care about a single thing here other than "Maybe raptor would be cool?"
>>11665162Nice, I came pretty close to biting the bullet on a Wild Bill last year, curious if he'll be in the blue and yellow. New Dusty will be great as well. Barring the head sculpt, he was a letdown.
>>11665770They messed up his proportions by making his arms and legs to be the same length. He just looks odd because of it. Only really short dudes have proportions like that.
I caved to intrusive thoughts at Walmart
>>11666162[Muffled Eurobeat]
>>11666166Entirely worth itDoes make me wish I had the Joe Vamp more but stillIf >>11665579 becomes real then I'd get that version too
>>11666162>>11666166>>11666218I've been tempted by this thing before but I always end up passing on it as I know I won't enjoy it unless I get those Grid Iron add-ons. That said, my own intrusive thoughts finally beat me in regards to the Arctic Hiss, P/O'd one right before the deadline. ....what tipped me over this decision was finally opening the original one and seeing how fantastic it was in hand for the first time. I won't have pics up until tomorrow, but it's a massive beast of a tank, and yet still fairly manageable due to it's compact shapes. The automatic light that turns on when you open the rear hatch is a *really* nice touch, and I almost wish it also had some sound effects to go with all the different light options. That said, I wish there were better controls for all the lights as well, but there's honestly a lot of little things the Tank did as well. I still really wish it had a turret hatch, and that the gunner platform could, if not raise and lower, at least act as a seat as well as a stand. It probably still could, and it would be fairly easy for someone to make a custom seat/stand that replaces the stock one. Hell, it wouldn't even be that hard to mod the existing stand, but I won't be the one cutting up a $350 toy set just for one nitpick complaint. Either way, there's plenty of room for the Gunner and Technician to fit fully enclosed in the tank's body. Also, opening the figures made me miss the plastic free packaging. The nice full box art work, cool little cardboard gear lockers and the fact I didn't have to fight with loud crackling plastic trays for ten minutes to get the tiniest accessory free only to launch it across my desk and into the void is such a pleasant experience. Screw nature, screw economics, I just want those old boxes brought back because they're so much easier to open and deal with. Regardless, love this damn tank and now I can't wait for it's frozen cousin.
>>11666276Slice the blister of retro-carded stuff off with a knife. When taking stuff out of the inner blister tray, don't pull the toy out of it. Get your fingers in there and push the blister tray away from it to release it. Or use scissors to cut up the blister tray to get stuff out. >>11666162It's called "impulse-buying." I've done that a few times myself.

>>11666563>outlets are falling for obvious AI slopgrim.
>>11666563Shit. Instead of getting the tiger force Dragonfly I've been patiently waiting for, we get this?
>>11666563why does playmates think vehicles work at retail but hasbro doesn’t?
>>11666582Because Hasbro always goes overboard with adding tons more shit than what something really needs, like "blast effects" off the asses of rockets and all sorts of details that may look cool but is just more shit to put into ziplok baggies and store away. They openly refuse to try to make vehicles affordable. Everything has to be done overkill, then the costs passed on to the customers. Just look at how they turned SNAKE armor into a mecha suit. The Arctic HISS should have been more minimized to bring the price down, but NOPE they go in the opposite direction to keep the price up.
>>11666599It pisses me off because Mcfarlane has made a ton of Batman vehicles for a larger scale, at way less than what Hasbro charges, and they're perfectly fine. All for a larger scale line.
>>11666621Because McFarlane makes cheap, hollow pieces of shit. The Tumbler is like twice the size of the Vamp but feels like it has half the weight. Classified actually makes *good* toys, and you pay for the quality.
>>11666276God I wanted a Hiss Tank and just couldn't back it originally and the Artic one isn't appealing to me too much but I also just did not have funds for itThis is so good tho and I can't stop messing with itI planned to do stuff today and with this shit >>11666554 >>11666563 shown I'm more inclined to finally tackle unboxing my Dragonfly and doing pics once Roommate isn't passed out and I have room to put some stuff so I can clear deskMan these really do look like AI SlopI know Hasbro is supposedly getting TMNT as apparently NOT getting renewed by Playmates for the first time since the 80's apparently but this just looks badI'm tired of constant crossover slop>>11666582Because Playmates Vehicles DO work at RetailHasbro constantly does things way too expensive with filler shit to fluff/justify price

>>11666554>>11666563this seems like a proof of concept -at best- considering that copter wouldn't fit those figures and it's name and info on the mock box is just awful.
>>11666826The McFarlane stuff is fine, and is made the same way vehicles were made since at least the late 70s. Yeah the Hasbro stuff has more to them, but they also cost a hell of a lot more.

>>11667086There's nothing funny about war, boy.
>>11667115anyone have that one video of a russian soldier laying the snowy ground after they got bombed, with dead soldiers all around who are on fire? The last alive soldier crawls to the nearest flaming dead body and spreads his arms over his dead comrade's flaming body for warmth. Finally unboxing the Haslab DragonflyOf course the little Manual doesn't say, but for those that own itThis is another fucking "One way connection" for the tail isn't it?So if I pop the tail in it's just in

For a "Premium" Crowdfunded Item especially at fucking $300 I expect this shit to actually fucking have effort in itI may still end up just reboxing it after pics and clearing itLike I want it but holy shit it's almost insulting with the issues
>>11667488I don't know why, Maybe it's the hat but I thought he was a Sgt Slaughter at first

>>11667331You bought it off of eBay, didn't you? New isn't always "new" there.
>>11667490I'm really hoping for a tiger force reissue made cheaper by losing the lights, blast effect, and other stuff. Minimize the sticker sheet too unless they sell it at a price that'll allow people to get more than one.
>>11667313I popped it in then when I stored it away I popped it back out but I was afraid it was going to break so i keep it displayed with the tail not clicked all the way in.(Please excuse my dust)
>>11667530I got it off Haslab, Just waited a year to unbox lol>>11667726Would be cool, I do like this but the QC genuinely pushes me to just wanna take pics and then clear it out>>11667771Yea I saw somebody say on the right side you can pop wing out and unscrew that screw there and it loosens the body enough to just pop tail out apparently
>>11667726Id be glad for a basic tiger force helicopter. It could even be a one seater i guess but id like two seats and pegs on the landing gear.
>>11667997unfortunately this is why you should open stuff like this immediately, not that i would trust hasbro to do anything other than offer you a refund, they're not a good company with customer service
>>11668038I've had nothing but good experiences from them. I've had several issues with figures and if they couldn't outright replace it, they sent me something of equal value. I got the Walmart exclusive Black Series Captain Rex for free that way. Not saying they don't have problems, but they have been good to me.
>>11668034Making it a one-seater would mean changing the mold. They make it as cheap as possible by not changing anything but the color of it while leaving out the accessory overkill.
>>11668038Yea I usually do but I just did not have space for awhile and I've done a ton of extensive cleaning latelyI got the Haslab Omega Prime and saw before I had even gotten it some people's ones were complete dogshit and had QC then I learn there's a design Flaw that causes breakage in basically %100 of themSo I never properly unboxed it other than to open it, go over, take pics and rebox>>11668041I went thru T W O returns and exchanges with Victory Saber before I got one that didn't have horrid QCCrazy how my Razor Crest was perfection but then every other release has had something wrongAlso hey you guys know Crystal Ball is good?
>>11668038Awww man I still didn't open my HISS tank yet!
>>11668047Crystal Ball is one of the top five figures in the line to date. That's impressive when considering that the original was one of the worst. They gave him more of a story than the original had with a file card by making him more paranormal, then tossing in Ghost Vipers as his support and implied connection to the fucked-up mole rats.
>>11668091God I wanted Ghost Vipers and never really saw em and when they finally showed up they were like $60 retail
>>11667726I've been saying this for a while, but between Haslabs and general releases, we've gotten almost all of the Tiger Force vehicle molds in Classified. And with them going MTO on the Arctic HISS Tank, it shows they're willing to repaint the Haslab stuff...so I can only assume very strongly we'll see Tiger Force repaints of all of these things. >>11668041Yea, the few times I had to deal with Hasbro over the past few decades of being a collector I haven't had any issues at all. That said, I can't really think of any out of the box issues I've had other then some poor paint apps here and there. But I recognize I've been very lucky when it comes to QC on figures so it's very much a case of ymmv in that regards. >>11668047It's crazy how hit and miss Haslabs can be. I've only gotten three, and only opened two to be honest, but both of the ones I've opened were perfect and felt very much worth the price tag. The first was Deathsaurus who is just a phenomenal figure and full package set and just great fun to mess with. And I recently opened up the HISS tank I've been sitting on forever and it too is just a *really* good toy. I do have some minor quibbles about that, but the overall package is so nice it's more like I'm trying to find faults. But stuff like Antman and the Sentinels, or the current mess with the Cantina or the problems with VC and Omega Prime are all just absurd. >>11668088If it's a wide spread QC problem, we would've heard something about it by now. But by and large, and from recent personal experience, the HISS Tank came out fantastic so you really don't have to worry about it. Just be careful with the canopy, not because of any known QC issues, but because clear plastic is clear plastic no matter how expensive the set it's from was.
>>11668306Oh man I entirely forgot the big ass Sentinel was Haslab. I got that one too and he's pretty solidRazor Crest was pretty spotless so hey that's coolThen Victory Saber was a messBacked Dragonfly and only just now getting to it and fucking Omega Prime is a god damn travesty and scamI really wanted a Hiss Tank. I kinda hate it was a Haslab, They made a second one with Snow one but I couldn't drop that much on it basically during Holiday month.I hope another comes or we get a repaint Rattler cause I really wanted that and the BaronessMad I missed Vamp cause it was gone so fast and now that I got a Night Stinger I want the Vamp moreThings been greatI'm eying the Awe Striker and the Steel Corps and Modular post but funds currently hurtHolidays took a lot out of me
>>11667491Anon, it's a really poor resolution photo either to hide the fact it's AI or someone took a bunch of customs and made extra edits.
>>11668424It also looks like they could have taken an original Dragonfly and retooled it.
I recently inherited a toy collection, and where my own collection kind of began and ended at “what I thought was cool” I gotta say, I didn’t know the classified line was this cool. Covergirl is peak
>>11668091>>11668145I never saw either and Crystal Ball was on my never ever list with DeeJay and Psyche Out.
>>11668689CB sold out fast, bro. Now it's at "secondary retailer" prices. >>11668665I'd like her more if she had the same color scheme as the first one. I am so tempted to buy both just to do a head-swap.
>>11668691iirc the first classified release of hers was based off her RAH/Comic look and the retro one was the miniseries look right?I'm still going through tubs of figures, but I think I have the first release, i'll see how a headswap looks, none of these figures have been moved in a while and they're all super stiff so I'm worried about fiddling with them too much right now.
>>11668699The first Cover Girl was based on the second cartoon likeness as well as the original action figure likeness of her. The blonde retro-card version was based on her first cartoon appearance in the 1983 mini-series.
>>11668702good to know, thanks, I'll post a pic later if I can make a proper headswap.
You goofs didn't link the new general again
>>11668789The last one was ruined by non-stop arguing, so that's a good thing.
>>11668691Yeah, i know. Last year was rough on my spending ability so i had no choice but let figures go. I pretty much missed all of 2025, i think my only purchases were falcon and quarrel (sp), the tiger paw and a action Halo jumper.
>>11668871I had a rule that I only bought the ones I saw locally last year, but the only ones I did see were Mainframe and the Green Shirt, feel like Canadian retailers got the shaft on toys last year.
>>11668871My budget was tight too, which is why it hurt to spend $140 on Rattler Baroness. I figured it won't get any cheaper so just deal with it. I rarely can afford that. Last year she and repro G1 Megatron were my two most-expensive buys. Everything else was in the $25 - $40 area.
>>11666563Statement by Playmates acknowledging it's real, but that likely Hasbro wasn't letting them reveal it yet.
>>11667070Where are you getting the idea that these are 6 inch and not the standard TMNT scale?
Some recent purchases. Some are from eBay but a couple are the most recent wave that by a miracle my local comic shop got in as my local Walmart is drowning in unsold Retro CCs, Stalkers, and Cobra Troopers.First Grim Viper of Plague Troop fame. Never managed to get Ala Range Viper proper but this fucker has at least a better paint scheme for the sleeves.
The massive machine has me almost wanting to find a Saw Viper to give him the fucker.
>>11668892Who buys turtle versions of Thunder cats, MOTU, GI Joe, and stuff? I don't get who the market is for them because they're toys clearly aimed at little kids but sold expensive. >>11668914Retro CC is one of my favorites due to him being a good version of the cartoon likeness.
My favorite of the new wave is Sci-Fi. Like the 30th Anniversary version, he has the option of a full or partial face mask though this is done via changeable face plates not two different helmets. His laser gun is a bit bulky and requires two hands to hold but the laser blast effect is great.
Sci-Fi was well worth the wait. And he's got one of the best unmasked head sculpt in the line.
Forgot the pic!
Now a guy who has gotten the shaft multiple times in the modern era and who I seriously feared would be stuck as a Haslab tier unlock: Wetsuit!
Sadly the mini skimmer looks like dog shit and isn't the aerodynamic version that came with the original figure
Wetsuit has a good unmasked head sculpt and the tubes on his mask come off so you can display him with just the mask.Sadly I only had one extra pair of gloves hands which I gave to another figure, so I couldn't give Wetsuit some proper gloves hands.
>>11668931But there is no fucking reason to buy more than one. Especially given the cowardly bullshit banning CC from having his trademark hood.
>>11668931I buy the MOTU Thundercats stuff, and sure as shit will buy the TMNT Gi Joe if they ever come out
>>11668964True. Their reason is purely retarded. I still got it anyway. It was an impulse-buy while in Target for something else. I don't mind the cartoon-look to it. My only complaint is the standard complaint of wishing that arms could go straight down, but I guess Hasbro won't be fixing that issue.

>>11669630No. Back-lighting always darkens the subject no matter the camera you use. And I ordered her yesterday on an "impulse-buy." Probably shouldn't have but I did it anyway.
>>11669636Front-lighting. Derp. I posted that when I was still waking up. Facing the light source is what fucks up pictures.

>>11669840Well the screen is taking up the majority of the photo there and it's probably set too bright.
>>11669844It's normal brightness. It's just a naturally dark apartment since I have no east-west windows, and only north-south windows that don't bring in direct sunlight. So any light source like the PC monitor will screw with photos.
>>11666166are the tires plastic or rubber?
>>11670519Feels Rubber. Like thicker
>>11670529thanks man, been hesitating because i hate hard plastic wheels.
>>11670532The bad part of rubber is in the long run. Transformers and Gobots from the 80s have already had to need tire replacements due to the rubber-rot.
My latest aquisition is a cheap Legacy Sniper I got from Ollie's for $7. The bright green patches on her as well as green-colored weapon annoyed me, so I painted them flat black. It's a good figure, and can play "jungle Scarlett" with the red pony-tail hanging off the back of her head.

>>11671759Not bad! What paint did you use, Tamiya? Looks like quite a good smooth finish.
>>11671761Yes Tamiya. It goes on evenly and is more durable than the average hobby paint.
>>11671766Tamiya is good stuff, yeah. Done by hand or airbrush? I've found Tamiya is surprisingly well behaved by hand compared to other solvent-based paints. My beloved Mr. Hobby is amazing through an airbrush but dries too quick to brush paint I've found, even with levelling thinner.
>>11671782I painted by hand because I didn't want to spend 5 days masking everything for what would be a 20-second spray.
>>11671679

>>11671896.....that's amazing.
>>11671782>My beloved Mr. Hobby is amazing through an airbrush but dries too quick to brush paint I've found, even with levelling thinner.Tamiya also dries too quickly, hence that finish looking pretty rough. And thinners actually make it dry faster. What you want is a retarder.never used it on tamiya, because they're not a handbrushable paint, but it should could work.
>>11671896I need it.
>>11672116I don't mind how fast Tamiya dries because I don't paint the whole thing all at once. I do it in short bursts with a little bit at a time so I don't get overwhelmed. It helps keep the hands steady and patient.
>>11672116>And thinners actually make it dry faster. What you want is a retarder.Levelling thinner has retarder mixed into it; it slows down drying time so the paint can even out as it dries (hence "levelling thinner"). Mr. Surfacer thinned with it through an airbrush is basically priming easy mode for what it's worth.
>>11672237Most acrylic paint thinners use alcohol (dries out fast), so they add a little bit of a retarder to even out how much faster the thinner is going to dry out your paint. You need an actual retarder if you want to increase the paint time.
>>11672266Mr. Hobby is lacquer, not acrylic.
>>11672269i only paint with acrylic and oil, and i was only talking about what to use with Tamiya paint. But a thinner for lacquer still works on the same principal, which is using a solvent to keep it flowing, which will make it dry out faster. This is why retarders are made for each medium.
When are we getting a Classified scale chopper for all these Dreadnok figures? Those so called 1:12 diecast Harley look like kids bikes when used on Hasbro 6in scale figs. Marvel Legends has a bike mold but Im sure Hasbro is prevented from using it in other non Disney lines per license.
>>11671651>You still haven't bit the bullet on her?She doesn't exist here in the UK, either nobody bought the rattler or literally nobody is selling and I can't justify the US prices, if they even post internationally to begin with, which most don't. I told you, I exclusively lose at all aspects of life, so because I want it, even though her base design is obviously meant for a retro repaint, it still won't happen or if it does they'll change something and ruin the figure. My interest has cursed Baroness figures for eternity for all of you.
>>11672318Even the bike he comes with looks tiny next to him. Amazon has some that look way nicer but obviously don’t have the guns attached, and they’re something like 30-50 bucks a piece.
>>11672451It's AI Slop that's whyJust report and filter
>still making AI slopare you getting paid for this or is the goal just to get replies from it?
>>11672318The AI is getting better. There's even mold-lines on the arms. BUT to answer your question, the Dreadnok Swamp Cycle has been a rumor that's circulating. Yeah I know a top-heavy 3-wheeler isn't quite the same thing.>>11672563Or his goals are to show the tangible possibilities in a visual medium that people can understand.
>>11672636>Or his goals are to show the tangible possibilities in a visual medium that people can understandThis isn't a board meeting to sell ideas to Hasbro you dumb dumb
>>11672636>HisNo one cares about your made up AI slop that doesn't exist loser. Also, replying to your own posts is so weird.
>>11672637This isn't also not your board to dictate what counts as contributing content. Contact the site admins on X and see if they have a problem with it instead of throwing a temper tantrum when someone posts something you don't like.
>>11672645I didn't post it. Jannies are more than welcome to verify the IP numbers. I just don't have a problem with it nevertheless shit the bed in anger any time someone posts it. And it's easy for people to be confused because this seems to be the only board that gets offended by it when AI is generously-used on other boards hwre and eve on other sites.
>>11672646>This isn't also not your board to dictate what counts as contributing content. No shit and it isn't your board to dictate how people respond to content. No one in this thread is having a "temper tantrum" but you seem to want to belittle anyone that rightfully mocks AI slop. >>11672647If you didn't post it you wouldn't give a shit about the accusation and stay on the topic. More so this retard bait of "muh IPs" when we all know how easy that is to refresh that part. That said, where you do fuck up and out your samfag behavior is: nah, I won't tell you, let that mystery keep you up at night.
>>11672318real talk are you the same guy that made the fake TMNT/Joe shit?
>>11672319The prices are gonna stay high on that one. That's one of the ones that'll never drop below $100+ for it. It has come down a little bit, though. I paid $150 for mine in September while now one can be had for $120 - $130. Or we can hope and pray that Hasbro doesn't make us wait years for the OG blue repaint. The only things I can see them changing is changing the color of the glasses from yellow to green, removing the flight gear, removing the shoulder emblems in favor of a big Cobra emblem on her chest, re[ainting her in a ligher shade of blue, and adding a different rifle. BUT as an encouragement, IF you do go ahead and pay that price to get one, then you'll have a very rare figure in your local Bri'ish market, which should mean that it would have a higher value locally than in the US where there's a lot more of them.
>>11672653Those probably weren't fake. >>11672652>it isn't your board to dictate how people respond to content. There are actually rules here against shit-posting, harassing, trolling, and picking fights. Just hide the posts you know you're gonna disagree with. It's so simple. >>11672652Because I like the picture, and am not offended by AI. I have posted a few pics in the past. I do admit that. Here's a refresher of what I posted showing what it could look like if Hasbro added other lines as crossovers to the Classified series. And they are on-topic. They are relevant to GI Joe discussion. That guy who posted that pic did draw out discussion about dreadnoks and motorcycles. You just derailed it because you hate it.
>>11672656Genuinely, what do you get out posting AI slop? At this point the only discussion it generates is infighting about it. After enough pushback and lack of actual discussion surrounding it, I'd have given up and moved on to something else to spark discussion. By tripling down in the way you have, it comes off moreso as you trying to annoy the people who dislike AI, rather than just trying to garner discussion. That's how it comes off anyway. Maybe consider that if you're genuinely trying start on topic conversation.
>>11672659If you READ what's posted along with it, you can see the context. But you'd rather focus on the pic, and have a knee-jerk reaction of instant attack-mode because you don't like the medium. Once again you can always hide the posts you don't like, but you're too mental to do that. You'd rather derail and argue.
>>11672664I'm just saying. After beating your head against the wall enough times with this AI stuff, you'd think you'd eventually get tired of it. Whatever man, you do you. Just don't blow a gasket when others voice their displeasure at your posts.
This guy 3D-printed a Classified Tomahawk. Hasbro really needs to step shit up with the vehicles. https://www.reddit.com/r/gijoe/comments/1hdvz3i/classified_tomahawk/Hasbro needs to quit playing this "long game" that's put us in year 6 of Classified and still no Firebat or Skyhawk. They need to "go for broke" and start putting the best stuff out there instead of taking the approach of "YOU BUY THE CRAP YOU DON'T WANT IF YOU WANT US TO MAYBE EVENTUALLY GET TO OTHER STUFF YOU DO WANT."
>>11672667This is the only board that has a problem with it, and even then it's only a small but loud minority.
>>11672682Every board hates AI shit, that's why they usually have containment threads for it.
>>11672687Not really true since people do post it without you shitting the bed over it. You just want to control the content here so nothing offends you.
>>11672654G.I. Joe is weird here, it's a bit like TMNT in Japan I think. I don't think we ever got the cartoons on here when we were kids, so I don't think it has the same awareness/nostalgic pull. Toy wise, stuff like Action Man was the big military one and the vendors that stock classified here do the classic 1:1 ratio of dollar to pound, which makes them more expensive than for you guys. We also have basically no off-line toy store presence here, no Targets, Walmarts, Ross, Ollies etc. so it's 95% online places and usually just a handful. I mentioned it before when a dude was desperate for a OaMCC (though the guy never responded) but if you're okay paying the ÂŁ price up-charge for you guys and the shipping fees, there are often these exclusive ones that insta sell out in the US, like Pythona, Once a Man CC etc. hanging around here for a long time, even going on discount (even on our Hasbro Pulse if you know someone who could post them to you) if you're ever desperately after any.
>>11672694Well you Brit bongs are getting ethnically replaced by rapist brownoids from India and Pakistan so you deserve the high fees that help contribute to housing them for free in luxury hotels
>>11672694>I don't think we ever got the cartoons on here when we were kids, so I don't think it has the same awareness/nostalgic pull. You did. It was just adjusted to make it more British.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E7_52GXB3zkAnd wouldn't what you posted mean that they're cheaper in America than in Britistan? If so then buy from Americans who'll ship internationally, especially the oens that'll have even higher values locally (like Rattler Baroness).
>>11672656>Just hide the posts you know you're gonna disagree with. Why? Shouldn't we all see what everyone feels about these things? Anons by majority don't like the AI generated stuff. So they will speak up. On the flip couldn't YOU just hide these posts that disagree with you? >>11672682Why are you lying so plainly? Everybody has been openly mocking it.>>11672691That or anon wants certain narratives upheld and pushed such as an acceptance of ai slop. If the majority speak out against they can't make such strange bullshit claims that people want it or like it.
>>11672706>Why?Because it's a simple solution instead of getting yourself pissed over absolutely nothing>Why are you lying so plainly? Everybody has been openly mocking it.Not everyone. You don't speak for everyone. >That or anon wants certain narratives upheld and pushed such as an acceptance of ai slop. When you don't even address the posts made along with the images (as in that case the motorcycles) then you're not here for conversation, and are only here to pick an argument. And once again go to X and see if AniMoot gives a shit instead of deciding that YOU decide what the rules are.
>>11672711Only one pissed seems to be you anon. I can share my dislike of AI slop and not get emotionally upset about it. >deciding that YOU decide what the rules are.Weird projection, I never mentioned rules about it. I'm just going to make fun of the retards that think AI slop should be on a board about /toy/s.We don't like your ai slop and never will, spam it all you want, in fact I encourage it, just accept the mockery and other outcomes you'll get for it.
>>11672716I'm not. I'm not attacking anyone because of what pics they post. I'm not the one engaging in social lynching and bullying to try to train anons into not posting what I don't like. That's all on you.
>>11672717No one is attacking anyoneNo one is lynching anyone I even told you to post more of it. You just seem unhappy that everyone doesn't like nor wants this ai stuff on a toy board.
>>11672723You're lying now. All you do is go after anyone who posts it. Don't back-track now. Assholes like you got people too afraid to contribute out of fear of being lynched, which is why board traffic has slowed.
>>11672723>EveryoneSpeak for yourself. Not all of us are neo-luddites who shit our pants at the mention of AI. Personally I think it's neat.
>>11672776If it's so neat, why not make a thread about it? If you're so sure multiple people "like it enough to reply" then surely it deserves a thread of it's own.
>>11672767>which is why board traffic has slowedBoard traffic slowed because 4chan was fucking HACKED and people realized they don't need to post here, especially since the reveals made this place out to be a true garbage dump for spamming paid bot posts. Hiro and his cronies also removed the IP counter years before, so same fagging and bot spam could never be proven until the website was hacked. Using "people I don't like" as a scapegoat makes you look like a petty retard.
>>11672812>HACKED and people realized they don't need to post hereThis place was already dead for years before that happened. Didn't help though
>>11672705>they're cheaper in America than in Britistan? Yes much, but most of your shops like Walmart and shit don't ship to the UK, the bigger places like Amazon/BBTS etc. add VAT and shipping which makes them more expensive/at best the same most of the time and most ebay dudes won't bother to post to England it seems. Anyway as much as I want it, I'm not paying $150 for a G.I. Joe, too much of a peasant to do that.I did mention Action Man, and I suppose the G.I. Joe aspect of Action Force was big before my time in the early to mid-eighties, probably a lot of nostalgia for the toys if you were a kid then I imagine, it just hasn't had the same long lasting presence like G.I. Joe seems to have had for you is all I mean, maybe I've just been oblivious to it. I remember I did have some cool G.I. Joe fighter planes when I was little, I had no idea they were Joe related though.
>>11672820I used to post in GI Joe Threads, /ctg/, Thread About Toys, and Figma General every other day before the website was hacked. The board was alive and the only shitposters were autists that eventually calmed down or could be banned for a while. Also the occasional "muh statues" but they usually never got replies and gave up. After the big hack this place suddenly was miserable since everyone knew botspam if it fit certain patterns was never going to go away.
>>11672806Because no one actually likes AI threads and any time they post one it gets ignored and has no traffic. So they have to spam up one of the few actually active threads on the board to get their /you/s then play the victim when everyone rightfully calls out their garbage spamming junk. >>11672812Also the forced autosage after two weeks killed a LOT of slower, long running generals. It became a hassle to have to remake a liked, but slow thread every two weeks because it would get dropped to page 9 despite any active discussions while bots spammed whatever troll threads that they usually spam. Despite all this shitty management though, /toy/ is still sadly one of the only good place to actually talk about toys. Every other place is all celebrity worship "high art photos" bullshit or just plain dead. >>11672831What MC is that? He fits pretty nicely with Joes considering Spartans are supposed to be freaking giants.
>>11672812>>11672831Funny enough they removed IP post counts the same year they got hacked which seem to be the driving force to show they were compromised. They had the backlogs of everything for years, they didn't act until it was clear they were lying why the IP post counts were removed, fast forward a few months and the hack happen with leaks poured out of what was going on here: much of the traffic was forced to entice advertisers. >>11672806Correct sir. One should wonder why these AI generating types have such an eagerness to go to multiple threads with this rather than just stay in a general for them. >Also the forced autosage after two weeks killed a LOT of slower, long running generals. What's depressing is that shows the real game. Think about: IF the thread was full of organic discussion and people, why would it need to be bumped when it's going to stay on the board for nearly a month or so? Why even need it to be shot to page one all the time? If anything that function showed the boards true colors: that most that post here are not into the brands themselves just pushing them like an advertiser would.
I'm so glad that I stocked up on Origins Snake Eyes as generic near future/sci-fi blank buck when they all binned for 5 bucks. They fit great with the Skeletorn Red Shadows and now I have a whole new faction for my shelf. The mech looks really tempting.
More fun 3rd party swaps, this time Monster Force head pack on Joe cops

>>11672981>>11672961How is that a good gun placement for a cop who needs to draw fast in a shit situation? >>11672964>everyone I agree with hates AIIt's not going away, and will become more entrenching with time. Youtube is filled with it now as are other sites, and this is still the only board where people regularly shit the bed while lynching people to try to scare them off from posting any more of it. And it's getting better. You can either use it for something serious or you can use it for the shits and giggles.
>>11673062It's not too unusual. I guess these cops are nicer, they have the tazer as the main weapon and lethal gun on their vest as secondary.
>>11673062>It's not going away, and will become more entrenching with timeIf anything, I've seen the opposite. Even normie spaces like Facebook people recognize trash AI, and hate it already. YT has been inundated with a glut of worthless channels of AI generated videos, with AI scripts, read in an AI voices, where the comments are nothing but people shitting on it. And anti-AI has been hitting its crescendo with Xitter adding the grok feature that allows people to turn basically any posted image into porn now.The only people still pushing so hard for AI are low/no skill 3rd worlders and brown skin ESLs.
>>11672923>why would it need to be bumped when it's going to stay on the board for nearly a month or so?Because not everyone pins threads. People aren't going to go digging for a thread constantly to check if it was replied to, but having it bumped to the first page showed that there was something new added to the thread. It was better to just let a slow but consistent thread fill up over a month then have to constantly remake them because they end up at page 10 where no one bothers to look because spam threads fill the home page. It's better to make less threads with more content then to make more threads with less content. That's how the board worked for *years* and it was fine until spammers screwed up everything. >>11672947I didn't even realize those were Snake Eyes figures at first, the Skeletron gear works perfectly on them. Is that all accessories from one figure? Because if so I'm going to be kicking myself for passing up on him. >>11672961>>11672981If those cops were more like regular beat cops instead of tacticool swat dudes, I would've been forced to grab a bunch of em and that Monster force head pack. They could've just used full length sleeves and the Shipwreck legs and made an actual street cop instead of that weird quasi-spec ops look with the painted forearms. They could've kept the body armor and rain coat cause those can just be tossed over the rest, but the base body should've been a normal, simple cop. >>11673006>>11673062Everyone with half a brain hates AI. >but other boards like it!So go post your slop there.

>since the reveals made this place out to be a true garbage dump for spamming paid bot postswat? is this just schizo theories or is there an actual screenshot for proof? As far as i can tell, traffic has slowed down thanks to root certification expiring on older browsers and captcha spinning forever. Lots of shit happened in 2025 that made posting harder to do, not just 4chan getting hacked, so it's made people less likely to continue posting or coming back.>>11672891yeah, the autosage definitely killed a lot of topics. most people only look at page 1 and if their interest isn't there, it might as well not exist.
>>11673254Ooof I'm jealous. I was at my local target today and they have *nothing*. They even had discounts on Transformers, Marvel Legends and G.I. I would've loved to walk out of my store with that Retro Viper, Flatline and Boneshaker. >>11673193By some you mean you. You said that. Stop pretending there's a large amount of people impressed by slop. What you are spamming is not new or novel or important, what you are spamming is essentially lazy fan art. It's no different then the stuff people can make in photoshop or MSpaint, except with those programs you actually need *some* talent to actually create something. If people were posting bad photoshops and saying they're "concepts" people would be telling them to gtfo as well because this isn't a "concept" thread, it's a toy thread. What you're posting is something any idiot can create and only an idiot would be impressed by. And as clearly demonstrated, the majority of the thread is not impressed by or even enjoys seeing your lazy slop. If you want to post it, go create your own thread or go to one of the many boards you claim enjoy that trash and post it there.

Overall Target came close to having as full of a selection like that a few times, but no Walmart near me ever came close. Their distribution really is absolute shit.
>>11673387It's called social bullying. They want to train everyone into associating posting those pics with several people ganging up on you to take a shit all over you. Keep in mind that none of them addressed that guy's post about finding suitable Dreadnok motorcycles, and they're not going to. They're not interested. Having a discussion about anything is secondary to them picking fights with anyone who does anything they don't like. Social bullying is a standard leftist tactic for controlling the mob so the mob behaves accordingly to the ways that they dictate. Using AI pics as visualizers for what you're discussing is NOT against the rules here, but shitposting, harassing, and bullying people are against the rules.
>>11665155>can get 3d-printed swamp skier off of etsy or ebay for $35 right now>but Hasbro's coming out with an official one with ZanyaHasbro better not fart around with making people wait, and it better not be stupid-priced like Ghost Viper was. But I don't mind it, as that's one of his most iconic looks so it works for me. For some reason I never saw this interview with Brian Flynn from 2 weeks ago with Full Force Podcast:https://youtu.be/PSDlEqDwtXM?si=zPghx9BU2VanGEte>Reaction+ is a big hit, and Reaction is completely dead. They even canceled any Ultimate Joe's this year to put the funds into Reaction+>Almost every single figure has sold out, and they sell out every time>The last wave came out so quickly, because Target said the previous wave sold out immediately and they had nothing to put on the pegs. It sounded like this was why the Target exclusives keep showing up unannounced.>says they listened to fans, switching to skirt pieces on the arctic figures.>the line is successful enough to get vehicles, but Super7 doesn't produce toys in Hasbro's volume, so it's difficult to find a vehicle that hasn't really been made that people will buy, since they can buy old Hiss Tanks on ebay.>There's at least one small vehicle this year. It sounded like it might be the Cobra Flight Pod they showed off during the Mothership crowd fund.>Next year they'll be doing a bigger vehicle >They will likely try to crowd fund the Mothership a second time, but waiting until the line grows more>there will be exclusives for Joefest>Cobra Commander is the most popular character.>Next wave will be out in April. It will not include Cobra Commander or Snake Eyes.>2026 will see more comic book characters such as Kwinn. More Sunbow characters who never got a figure will show up, likely Raven. >Sounded like more key characters for 2026, and said for 2025 they just really wanted to front load the line with movie figures. There will also be more movie characters in future waves, but want to give a break to get other things in.>Sounded like a Baroness will show up in 2026, and that it may be her classic black outfit. Flynn sounded like he wants to make her blue first appearance figure, but seemed a bit more hesitant, knowing what fans want first.
>>11674290Also from another recent interview:Thundercats is getting an o-ring line, but it probably won't happen until 2027.
Hi guys, can someone help me id the hood used in this custom?
>>11674497I'd guess Storm Shadow
>>11674226You're just reaffirming that you engage in lynching and bullying of people who post what isn't against the rules but you personally don't like. Once again contact AniMoot and admins on X and see if they object. But you won't do that because at the end of the day you're just a fucking bully who gets off of bullying other people into making the board the way you want. >>11674239They'll never release "Mary Belle Baroness." NEVER EVER. Hasbro's employees are mostly gender-card liberal women who come pre-offended by everything. They'll never allow it even if it's something they could make money off of. >>11674288I got that one. It's clearly cartoon-inspired. It's a great figure even though the cartoon look with softer details makes it really stand out from the normal figures.
>>11674290>says they listened to fansThat's not true, which is why they're being so stubborn in their refusal to do a black Snake Eyes and BAT. I have a couple, and the unpainted rivets are starting to annoy as well. They want their stuff to blend in with the originals but the unpainted rivets makes sure that's not happening. >so it's difficult to find a vehicle that hasn't really been made that people will buyHasbro never made the Firebat in colors other than red (even though a red on will still sell well enough). BUT in the cartoon the firebat came in other colors too, and Super7 is all about the cartoon versions of stuff.>Cobra Commander is the most popular character. With how well it sold, I believe that. BUT some of its sales were driven by the fact that an original 1982/1983 CC is just too damn expensive now. The fact that not many fo the Reaction+ versions are on the market at any given time tells me that people are holding on to them as hole-fillers in their classic O-ring collections. >Sounded like a Baroness will show up in 2026, and that it may be her classic black outfit.Which in Reaction+ terms, means dark gray.
>>11674745Here's the crudely-drawn firebat from "spell of the siren." It even has normal landing gear unlike the terror drome version.
>>11674745I wish these guys were cheaper. For me it's hard to justify twenty for a simple o-ring with limited accessories. The online community from the 2000's had more pictures, discussion, customs etc. The hobby is so different now. Less people are buying because of the prices and lack of space from our previous collection. A lot of the current survivors are either quiet or trolling schizos.
>>11674893They're normally $25 each, which is just $2 less than a standard Classified. That's why I cherry-pick the ones like Mara and forget the rest.
>>11674497My uninformed bet is movie Taskmaster from Marvel Legends.
>>11674288>The actual vacmetal looking visor is basedIt is very based.
>>11674239On a side note, if the ARE going to retool the figure, they should just straight up ditch the removable hairpiece shit and give Wild Bill a new head sculpt with built in hair and a wearable hat accessory.
>>11674927Nah. Zarana and retro-card Cover girl can borrow his hair when they want to change up their looks.
>>11674740Holy shit rope yourself already ChristNobody wants your AI slop you inbred fucking mong. When will you realize that?NUMEROUS boards dunk on AI fags like you constantly/vg/ has half their Generals get AI slop spammed and clowned on and even banned countless times/co/ has several generals that do as well/a/ does it/tv/ does it/m/ does itEat shit and fuck off with your Slop
>>11675096You've overreacted about this for so long that I now support AI guy. Just shut up already.
>>11675096Contact admins and ask them if it's against the rules. Telling people to kill themselves is illegal and against the rules. Do it one more fucking time because you want to lynch people into behaving by YOUR rules instead of site rules. You're just a fucking bully who wants what you perceive to be your small kingdom in this world to operate by how you decide. And I am done dealing with you. I'm not running from you but will gladly report you to the DAs office for unmasking anons telling others to Kill themselves.
>>11674927That would be less options for same price
>>11675102Not your hugbox, nor your safe space. No one wants to watch you fellate yourself over generating fake images of fake toys. Keep playing victim instead of making your own thread, coward.
>>11675101>has the same ESL grammar as the AI asshatYou're not fooling anyone.
I've come around to both sides of this argument are complete and utter faggots and need to shut the fuck up about it and post some goddamn toys already. Here, some toys.
>>11675111I did. I'm the guy who started THIS one. Feel free to ask an admin to verify the IPs. And come on, fucker. Tell me to kill myself one more fucking time. So come on, tough guy faggot acting brave in the face of being anonymous. Bully and lynch some more because someone posted a pic you don't like. You've already ruined this topic just like you selfishly did the last one, and now you're trying to bully me into suicide, which is a felony, bro. I've already contacted admins on X with a screencap of your bullying for me to "rope myself" because I defended a guy who posted a pic of a motorcycle. And thanks a lot for ruining two Joe generals in a row in your childish temper tantrums and bullying because you don't like the pictures.
>>11675096AI is based. Please go away.
>>11675117>post your toys guys!>no, don't tell that one guy who posts fake pictures of toys that don't exist to fuck off>>11675120>screencaps to fucking Twitter >accuses someone of ruining a thread about pictures of real physical toys because he didn't get nonstop praise for generating imagesTopkek
>>11675117....I never noticed that they have "Police" painted on the bare arm in an attempt to make it look like an under shirt. That's....pretty awful. I just honestly do not understand why they chose those arms for the cops when they have perfectly usable full sleeve shirts and loose slacks available in their part library. The Firefighter turned out great, but the cop is just a bigger let down with every new pic I see of it.
>>11674926God damn it's gorgeousWish the Nonef Throne wasn't perma sold out anywhere and there were good similar ones
>>11675145Where are your toys?
>>11675096AI is replacing you and there is nothing you can do about it.
What are the chances we get anything to do with GI Joe Extreme or Sgt Savage?
>>11675149It's DEI bullshit. They have to have X number of black figures to meet DEI figure quota and alternate black/white heads for certain figures let's them do so. But the can't make alternate limbs so you get crap like Tele Viper and the Police figure having underarmet represented black painted on the arms to cover up the limbs...
>>11675155What figure head is on the driver of that vehicle?
>>11675120The poster in question is a spoiled rich kid who is pissy that poor fags have access to AI. It's always the case with these maggot mouth types. Spoiled brats who think stuff like AI should be a rich kid toy only. Bet the maggot mouth doesn't even own a single GI Joe toy....
>>11675194It's Clutch. His Classified figure doesn't have a regular beard but a mustache and chin beard that is not connected.
>>11675145Anon where are your Joes?Surely you have times where you sit on a floor and make funny noises and play out made up scenarios, Yes? You DO still have your whimsy and wonder right?
>>11675210>Hour laterI don't know guysI don't think he actually any Figures or toys in general. Gosh darn dang forgive me I think he might be lying
>>11675193Guy you are in the wrong franchise if you think you can bitch about DEI in G.I. Joe. Diversity was built into this line *from the start*, it is literally why the brand took off like it did. Right out the gate they had white, black, hispanic, female and gay Joes all the way back in the 1960s so get that dumbass racist shit out of here. No one is complaining about the different skin tones, it's the shit build they used for it when other characters in the *same subline* used better builds to get around that concept.>>11675155>>11675210>>11675295I would love to share new pics, but sadly my set up in not really conducive to taking new photos at the moment. Too many space men and skeletons in the way to get good pics of my Classified HISS tank right now. Will try to clean up this week and finally share the glory of that 1:12 scale masterpiece, but until then here's Gung Ho and Bazooka playing ping pong.
>>11675295>times /toy/ by the hourI was at work. You clearly are a newfag if you expect people to respond every hour on the hour WITH pics.
>>11675321It was directed at a specific Anon we all hate. That's why the "wow it's been an hour and he's still quiet"Cause AI Slopper/The Market faggot doesn't actually collect the line or like it
>>11673254I like how you think I'm the AI guy, but he actually argued with me about how targets and walmarts aren't no longer carrying GI Joes in all their stores, because he says he can still find them in his local store. No matter how much proof i showed him, with thousands of links to other forums reporting on this, he endlessly argued and denied these facts. He's doing the same shit now with AI images. He endlessly shits the thread up by constantly denying and pretending
>>11675334Walmarts and Targets ARE still carrying Joe thoAnd you selfreport as if you're AI Anon cause that post just vaguely said "Don't let AI Anon see this" and you pop up "I like how you think I'm the AI Guy"Brother nobody said that but yourself
>>11675315>it is literally why the brand took off like it did.Brainwashed. Literally no one cared about diversity. The brand took off because of a great concept (army men fighting cool villains) that was already based on a great concept (army men). No one bitched about diversity back then because it didn't take away from that concept. It also didn't add to the product either. Characters like Stalker weren't loved because they were black, they were loved beause they're great characters.Stalker's race had nothing to do with him being great and that's actually what made older media not retarded back before the 2010s. After the 2010s, shitty writers think that a person's race/sex/sexuality should be a erason you should like a character, like it's an important trait. everything else became secondary. And that isn't to say that media before the 2010s wasn't groan-worthy, but people were rolling their eyes at those shows for different reasons (stupid, nonsensical, etc) and GI Joe itself was one of those shows that even kids recognized as parent group nonsense (DEI and SJW bullshit of the 70s/80s/90s but supported by religious groups). This is why the GI Joe cartoon is widely mocked (but not hated).
>>11675368Again, G.I. Joe was popular LONG before it had characters or villains mainly because it accepted diversity and targeted multiple groups of ethnicities in the 60s before any of the crap you're talking about happened. You are upset by this stuff because you're told to be upset by it, but it's always been there and it's a cornerstone of the entire franchise.
>>11675368>G.I. Joe was popular LONG before it had characters or villainsHence >The brand took off because of a great concept (army men fighting cool villains) that was already based on a great concept (army men).>that was already based on a great concept (army men). And I'm not upset. I'm just correcting your misconception that you got brainwashed with.If what you said was true, how come no one talks about the diversity of the old line? Literally nobody gives a shit and I've been online talking to other Joe collectors since 1994.Almsot all the "diversity" that is ever brought up is with the 80s GI Joes and again, those characters that are favorites are liked not because of their race, but because they are great characters. Their race is basically just a coincidence and not a main trait.Again, DEI shit existed in 70s/80s/90s. It was considered tokenism, correctly pointed out, and GI Joe was very much part of that. The fact no one hates the token characters because Larry Hama was a great writer who basically created all the characters.BTW, I'm not >>11675193 and it doesn't sound like he's a hater either. He's just calling a spade a spade. DEI is bullshit and is basically racism. No one dumb forced shit.Writing a great character who happens to be black isn't bullshit and this isn't considered DEI.
>>11675402>DEI is bullshit and is basically racismLolLmao even
>>11675182That would be so cool!I think the chances are high.As long they are in scale with the other Classified, because Extreme and Savage were not in scale with the other GI Joes.
>>11675182>>11675445If it got us an Iron Klaw and S.K.A.R. sub faction, I'd be down for it. G.I. Joe needs more villains outside of Cobra and their normal subgroups. >>11675402....you keep pointing to shit from the 80s when the G.I. Joe toyline was started in the 60s and was wildly popular back then. It started out by taking a girl's toy and making it fun for boys, then it was the first major toyline to specifically target figures for minority groups, and when military figures became unfashionable it changed G.I. Joe to be a peaceful explorer and adventurer. G.I. Joe's early focus on inclusivity made sure it was able to cast as wide a net as possible to engage in various different social groups and grow the brand as a whole. You are only focused on the ARAH stuff, which also featured a diverse cast of characters from different races and backgrounds....because that kind of thing is what made the G.I. Joe line popular to begin with. But ARAH only happened because the previous twenty years of Joe history was successful. G.I. Joe didn't become popular due to characters like Stalker, Stalker became a character because G.I. Joe was popular. G.I. Joe has *always*, since the start of the line, promoted and used Diversity as a strength. I know you seem to have difficulty accepting reality and it's very clear you have no idea what you're talking about. You keep spouting DEI as some all encompassing evil buzzword, but you have shown you don't even understand what it means. You were told it's bad and thus it's bad because the talking heads on TV told you that and you have to listen to them.
So, what are the chances of the Zanya figure being a cutie?
>>11675496>twisting what happened and just plain lyingAnd the reason why i focus on 80s GI Joes is because even in the 90s, no one gives a shit about the dolls, just like they don't give a shit about them today.Yet you think the rarely ever posted or talked about colored dolls wer popular? WITH WHO? WHERE?>I know you seem to have difficulty accepting realityI have difficulting accepting the words of someone who is clearly making things up>promoted and used Diversity as a strength. It's like your reading this shit out of a manual. Either you're brainwashed or you're saying this shit just to troll.>ib4 you use some ebay listing as proof something is popular just because it goes for a shitload of moneyrarity doesn't mean it's popular. It's like pretending Marvel's Toad is a popular character because his Marvel Legend used to go for $200+ because a few autistic completionists needed to buy him mint on card after most of them were destroyed cause they couldn't get rid of them for $1.... and just like Toad, the colored GI Joes dollies were actually unpopular, hence their high prices. Fewer units were made of them and most of them got destroyed.80s GI Joes didn't treat colored characters as tokenism... at least, not the comic. The cartoons were dreck and did treat them as tokenism. All the colored characters were jive talkers and heavily accented (despite being born in America), because the writers were making fun of the parent groups forcing their 80s equivalent of DEI.
>>11675582You've been arguing with multiple people in multiple threads for the past week. All night every night. Aren't you exhausted?
>>11675402>The fact no one hates the token characters because Larry Hama was a great writer who basically created all the characters.the media and the internet has done everything it could to turn everybody against each other. the fact that people still dont realize how astroturfed and infiltrated this place is happens to be proof of it. after occupy wall street all the media did was highlight police vs blacks when most people couldnt give a shit. make everything about the gays. now we have left and right politics in everything, when the world really isnt all that different before the culture wars. its just our perception. this is all chinese and russian tactics trying to make america as shitty as their countries. gi joe used to reflect unity across all lines so long as you were american, now fellow americans hate each other because of retarded old men in charge
>>11675445>>11675496I was kinder thinking if they did them in the classified scale and style that would be perfect, even if they did a small focus on just sgt savage, and we got a WW2 wave with General Blitz, an Iron Stormtrooper and the other screaming eagles, that would be a great start.
>>11675582>All the colored characters were jive talkers and heavily accented (despite being born in America), because the writers were making fun of the parent groups forcing their 80s equivalent of DEI.You read too much into it. >Wild Bill with southern cowboy accent>Footloose talked like an arrogant California douchebag>Bazooka rarely used more than one-word sentences as the designated "dumb-guy" on the team>Barbecue sounded outright gay at times>Dreadnoks sounding Australian>Gung Ho sounding like a backwoods southern brawler>Roadblock may have talked "street," but Doc, Alpine, and Iceberg talked normal>even in the 90s, no one gives a shit about the dolls, just like they don't give a shit about them today. In the 90s companies like Dragon, BBI, and 21st Century Toys made awesome 12" figures with ultra-details right down to revolvers with loose rounds and hammers that draw back, pistols with removable magazines and working slides, and stuff. They really did step up their game in that size.
>>11675582>ll the colored characters were jive talkers and heavily accented (despite being born in America)What year do you think we're in? Who calls black people "colored people" anymore. How old are you gramps?
>>11675785Texan sound like Texans. Aussies sound like Aussies. Californian sounds like Californians. Mississippian sounds like Mr T if he were a wannabe rapper. Rural Idahoan sounds like NYC black man (is alpine even black?). Californian sounds like Mr Sulu.Writers for shitty 80s cartoon sound like they're taking a piss on Parental Group politically correct (DEI) mandates just like many other writers were doing back then on other Parental Group backed kids TV shows in the 1980s.Larry Hama wrote Roadblock talking like a normal human being, instead of a mockery of a black person from the 80s. FYI, in the 80 and 90s (and most of the 00s), the popular trend for race back then was color blindness. Race was unimportant about the character... at least on things that were well written. So as budgets increased for cartoons in the late 80s, cartoons became less retarded and by the 90s, cartoons were actually enjoyable again even for adults and parental groups basically disappeared. Token characters all but disappeared. BTW, i was talking about GI Joe dolls. And the collectors for other military doll lines were shitting on GI Joe dolls all the way into the 00s. No one cared for GI Joe dolls aside from ardent GI Joe nostalgiafags who rarely posted anywhere due to them being old men even in the 90s.>>11675806minorities aren't minorities in all cities/states anymore and "colored" sounds cool.
Having some trouble Identifying these parts, I thought they were for the Iron Grenadier but they have all black with red parts not grey and red.
>>11675315>gay joesDefinitely working from a manual to hit the talking points. Unless he means the Navy dolls.
>>11675853Again, your account on living in America sounds so incredibly 3rd hand, like you saw something on TV in the 90s and think that's how the real world is.
>>11675882they don't call him Snowjob for nothing
Don't worry fellas, Cobra will take care of DEI.
>>11675904Hasbro has made sure that even evil must have mandatory diversity.
>>11675904>using crimson guard with silver mask and black maskgood bit
>>11675882.....I've been making that joke for years and you are the first one to get it.
>>11675862Isn't bottom left from the Army Guy? Like the actual US Army set?Cause I remember the handle and mag in those colors>>11675904>>11675938LmaooWish we got actual Cobra thotties
>>11676117One of these is the brand manager and the boss to the other two. When you figure it out, you'll figure out why Rattler Baroness was a fluke, and why we're never getting another attractive female in the line again.
>>11676136>Hambeast and their 2 Soi golems
>>11676136She's been brand manager for the line since the start and we've gotten tons of hot chicks in the line, this is like all the morons complaining that there won't be "any more hot chicks" in the Marvel Legends line, then ignoring figures like the new Emma Frost or the Savage Lands set featuring Rogue and Shanna. Have you not see the dumpers on them Valkyrie Troopers or Retro Scarlet? Classified has some of the hottest females of any western line.
>>11676136Jesus can I go one thread without you obsessing over this fat woman
>>11676261With one exception they're all fugly. You're making excuses.
>>11676261Wave 1 Scarlett and Rattler Baroness are the only attractive looking Classified women figures to this day. Retro Covergirl is passable. Not ugly, but not pretty enough considering her backstory.
>>11676295Zarana is perfect from the neck down. They just need to re-do that fucked up "action face"
>>11676305>They just need to re-do that fucked up "action face"They need to do redo every face that isn't up to the standard of Wave 1 Scarlett and Rattler Baroness.
>>11676317I agree. It would be a good opportunity to fix other issues like battle armor Baroness's exposed leg pins.
>>11675149I see it now, kinda sucks since im pretty determined to get one since i just wanrt a cop figure and i like the idea of the Action series.
>>11676295Pythona is the most bodacious babe.
>>11676136oh, so that was her posting earlier, saying how GI Joe became popular because of diversity and not becasue army men and ninjas are fucking cool?
>>11676414Bodacious enough for you to buy her?
>>11676415Probably yeah.
New one is up. >>11676707>>11676415At the time Star Wars figures came with one little accessory that was often lost within a day by kids. GI Joe figures came with more than that as well as better articulation. Star Wars vehicles didn't come with figures while most Joe vehicles did. Once 1984 rolled around and it settled in with kids that there's no more new Star Wars, it was all on GI Joe. Diversity had nothing to do with it.
>>11676435Not him, but she's great. I like the cartoon figures, and she's a perfect example for why.
I got the Diver 2-pack for Christmas, planning on getting some aquarium supplies to create underwater dioramas.
>>11676415>>11676709G.I. Joe was a success as far back as the 1960s, years before Star Wars or Ninja. The second wave of Joe figures featured multiple minority figures and sales doubled. ARAH only happened because of the success of the 60s line.
>>11677021ARAH happened because Larry Hama invented a para-military adventure squad that he tried selling to Marvel comics as being part of Nick Fury team that's a splinter team from SHIELD. Hasbro was desperate for an action figure line that could compete with the Kenner Star Wars juggernaut, so the two sides cut a deal to sell Hama's "Howling Commandos" idea as the new GI Joe.
>>11677021The second wave also featured kung-fu grip, flocked hair, more outfits, more vehicles, and just more of everything. Skin color was really a small reason. And then everyone at Hasbro turned "hippie," took the 12" action figure line away from a military theme, and turned it into "general adventure people." That caused the brand to completely collapse, and GI Joe was pretty much a dead brand by 1982. Calling Hama's team by a copyright Hasbro already owned was all part of the legal maneuvering to turn Larry Hama's property into Hasbro's property.
>>11677037The RAH toyline was already being developed and produced independent of Hama's story telling. It was a literal coincidental meeting that leg to Marvel, and by extension Hama, to get involved. The figures were being made before Hama created the file cards for em and the franchise....which was already successful for almost a decade, was just being refreshed to compete with the then modern action figure market. >>11677057The Kung Fu Grip and Flocked hair didn't come out until 1974, almost a full decade after the franchise launched. The switch to the Adventure line also revitalized the franchise and kept it going through most of the 70s. This shit isn't opinion, it's very clear fact. You guys keep point to things that happened decades after the initial success of the franchise to try and rationalize away the fact that by it's SECOND YEAR as a franchise the line was a massive success. Much of that was due to them creating toys that included minorities, something no other major toyline had done at the time. It also shows a clear history of G.I. Joe revolutionizing the toy market with something new, being incredibly popular for years, slowly dying off in popularity and then coming back again, with new and different ideas but the same adherence to quality and diversity that the line has *always* been known for.
>>11677238stop trying to spread your stupid bullshit, you brainwashed cow.How can GI Joe have become popular because of a colored character when the colored dolls were produced in limited numbers and came out a year after GI Joe became popular? So even IF the colored GI Joe dolls became popular (they weren't) once they were produced in greater numbers, it would happen nearly by the time the GI Joe line became UNPOPULAR thanks to the Vietnam War.Nevermind this was DECADES before limited editions were created to entice the collectors market.Nevermind the collectors market is ultra-niche compared to the childrens toy market. Also, i love how impossible it is to find info on the scarcity of the black figure on the modern internet. Holy fuck, just 8 years ago there were dozens of websites about the history for these figures and they're almost all gone now. It feels like it's the 90s again, because i need to buy a fucking physical book to actually get documented info, instead of relying on a fucking auction listing.
these threads really do get into bitter arguments by the end, every fucking time. >>11676709thanks friend
>>11677369>Also, i love how impossible it is to find info on the scarcity of the black figure on the modern internet. Peak value for 1960s Joes was 15 to 20 years ago, and the market is passing on with the collector fan base. As ugly as it is to say, the people who used to run those sites are simply dead and gone now. >>11677238>The RAH toyline was already being developed and produced independent of Hama's story telling. It was a literal coincidental meeting that leg to MarvelNo it wasn't. If that were true then they never would have needed Hama and his work. ARAH is "Howling Commandos" re-branded.
>>11677820>>11677820>The baby boomers who collected them are in their 70s now, and are passing on. Peak value for 1960s Joes was 15 to 20 years ago, and the market is passing on with the collector fan base. As ugly as it is to say, the people who used to run those sites are simply dead and gone now.Nah, as i said in an earlier post, the people who collected the GI Joe dolls were old even in the 90s and they rarely ever posted online even back then. They didn't make any websites.99% of their posts and articles were on ARAH/80s/modern GI Joe fansites or other toy websites that were mainly about new toylines. Those toy websites are either gone or abandoned with dead links+images. The abandoned websites are have also been pushed out of Google's search results, because 95% of results now are merch links to stores, stores, and more stores.I used to literally get thousands of relevant websites for just the Negro GI Joe doll and now it's 9 pages>In order to show you the most relevant results, we have omitted some entries very similar to the 90 already displayed.>If you like, you can repeat the search with the omitted results included.and the omitted results are 14 more links... to facebook. wtf.the internet is either dead or hidden.I mean, fucking yojoe.com is basically abandoned now. IT hasn't been updated in years and the forum actually went down for 2 months without anyone giving a shit. Most other places are almost as inactive and are basically ghost towns compared to how they were a decade ago, and the fandom doesn't seem to have migrated anywhere either. Most people have seemingly given up on GI Joe.
>>11677856>the internet is either dead or hidden.TRUTH. AI-aided searches do more harm than good now. It seeks "the most relevant," which it's programmed to focus on e-commerce as the most relevant. But still my point stands that a lot of 60s Joe collectors have simply passed on, and took their sites and interest with them.
>fucking yojoe.com is basically abandoned nowIt was sold in 2018 by the people who owned it to a data-harvesting site. 3DJoes.com has taken over as the 3.75" fanbase's "main reference site" since then. The people who sold out and sold Yojoe have since disappeared because I guess they figured out that the fanbase hates their fucking guts right now.
>>11677856The Classified series killed off the old schoolers for the most part. Just a handful of us left. The 'deth of da line' actually happened for us in quiet, and it was a multitude of reasons, mostly from Hasbro. I wouldn't count out those annoying, exclusive, custom making faggits who made spin off forums and didn't want any 'outsiders' in from ruining the community. People splintering off and being cunts. Shitty mods at CustomJoes and HissTank did plenty too. Shills had also went too far, pushing crappy movie figures and repaints as great. One of my favorite sites were JoeDios and Checkpoint Alpha. Now both gone or basically defunct. The hobby for most of us eventually imploded and got too costly even. Why do we need remakes in another scale again? We got older with a lot of memories and great figures we've already collected, so most of the future of GI Joe lies with the newer breed of collectors.
>>11678428*To correct, I'm sure Classified has a lot of old schoolers in. It has to since they're clamoring for cartoon characters we never got. I like Classified, I'm just not committed to getting a new scale, and I'm sure a lot of others feel the same. Figures look great though.
>>11678428The problem is that there's just not enough new fans to fill in for the old fans leaving.Other fandoms regularly replace oldfags with newfags. TMNT, Marvel, DC, etc have a constant influx of newbies entering the fandom. They create new communities (discord, tiktok, etc), fill in to the old communities (forums), and they're as vibrant as they were in the 00s despite how much things change.GI Joe died in 2016 and it made a small recovery in 2020... and that's about it. Forums were a little bit more busy, but not in the way that otherp laces are when new products are being released.I think there's way more activity when it comes to the comics than there is for toys, and that's super fucking strange since the comics side always felt lax compared to the toy side. The comics were a bigger hit with fans than the new movie or video games. And despite the comics hitting it big with fans, that hasn't translated into more toy discussion. In fact, there seems to be little crossover between the comic and toy fans. Toy fans seem to keep to themselves and are mostly unaware aware of what's going on in the current comics, unlike before or other comic based toy franchises. Who knows if the comic fans even buy modern GI Joes, since their discussions are heavily nostalgia-based.And Hasbro isn't helping, because they aren't cross promoting shit like they used to either.
>>11678486>>11678433>>11678428Oldschool fan here. I collect both as best as I can. We're not going anywhere. That's why the 80s stuff keeps its prices up. That's why all the demand for Classified is 80s-derived stuff instead of it being an entirely new line like "GI Joe Extreme" or "GI Joe Sgt Savage." We're probably the biggest backers of it, especially the expensive stuff. If we're dip-shit enough to spend $2 grand on a shuttle or aircraft carrier, then Hasbro knows they can put us on the hook for a $400 HASLAB. >GI Joe died in 2016 and it made a small recovery in 2020... and that's about it. Forums were a little bit more busy, but not in the way that otherp laces are when new products are being released.Forums in general are dying, and getting replaced by the comments section on Youtube, Instagram, and Twatter.
>>11679000>getting replacedthat's the problem, because whatever is being replaced isn't taking up what was there before. There's just fewer people posting everywhere and the sense of community is all but gone.... except in comics. There's more people posting about them now than there were during IDW's Cobra Civil War, which was pretty hype. Also, I'm buying older GI Joe shit for cheaper than ever. So demand isn't as high as you claim. I was actually avoiding buying vintage vehicles due to high prices and even the modern 1:18 figures/vehicles has gone down in price since 2021.
