Right now theres a cartoonishly crazy control freak, obsessed schizophrenic loser of a woman repeatedly making giga autistic demands at me to remove 3 words from my ebay listings title. Who tf does she think she is? WTF...??? Why even need or pretend to need words on my single listing altered? Block me or don't buy it if it is triggering your flipped brain? I want to piss her off as much as possible without getting penalized. What should i do? Ideas so far:>>say yes when its still there and if she keeps on, keep saying yes i did remove it>>say no, with some boomer agitating photo or emojis... wish i could send the plush doing the middle finger but I'd get suspended probably>>keep ignoring while listing more shit>>say youre not the boss of me now>>say stop telling me what to do mom/grandma!!!
>>11671372What are the words and why does she want them removed? We need more context anon
>>11671380The name of a creator and a franchise, while my item is not really the exact thing, its definitely adjacent and by the same media company. Kind of like how people write mlp, care bear, ty, or furby, on their fakes, clones, ripoff cousins and bootlegs
>>11671384Or how about you stop intentionally misrepresenting your item?
>>11671372The crazy vegan guy that runs a buy/swap/sell group that makes his vegan rules apply to plastic toys.>no horses or mounts because enslaving animals is wrong>no figures that appear to be wearing leather or using animal productsThere were a bunch of other crazy rules, and he was preachy as fuck and would try to convert you to veganism. Also,p he is really scammy and has a history of really dodgy behavior such as misrepresenting the condition his items are in, or complaining about loose joints in sealed figures that have never been opened and acting like it was your fault and expecting you to take a loss on such a figure. I ditched that group as soon as I realised what a potential nightmare any transaction there would be.>>11671421That only applies to the actual item description. Sellers can put every subline name on the title of their 3¾" Star Wars listings, such as "PotF, PotJ, Saga, Legacy, TVC, Black Series, Vintage Darth Vader" even if it is just a Power of the Jedi figure so that it shows up in the search results for someone looking for one of them.
>>11671384Man, i hate assholes like you. I hate searching for something like GI Joe and Corps figures show up in my results because it's vaguely related Or something like shitty Battlestar Galactica toys show up when looking for Star Wars ships just because Ralph McQuarrie was involved.I wish there were more crazy schizophrenic women out there to bitch you out.
>>11671372I once won an auction on a bunch of Lego sets, different listings, same guy. The starting price was really low and I ended up winning all of them at a really low price. Something like $400 worth of brand new sets only for $40.I request an invoice for combined shipping and he hits me with a $200 shipping fee. Keep in mind it's shipping out from really close to where I live.Told him to neck himself and have refused to touch eBay since.
>>11671464The worse are the asshole who put like 40 million unrelated keywords. >>11671472I always WRITE and ask for combined shipping in advance. Also, people aren't allowed to profit from shipping. He would need to actually ship all of those items separately. He does sound like a tool but keep in mind that shipping, even if the weight isn't a lot for bricks, does get higher when the box is bigger. A 5-6 pound I had to ship to Northern California from Southern California last month cost me the weight of an 11 pound box, which was considered the "DIM" fee because the SIZE of my box should have weighed more than it did. It still was no where near $200, and I probably could have put 3-5 sets in there if they were unboxed, and loose.
>>11671372Breathe.Go touch grass.Ignore her.
>>11671421>>11671464Lmao its not a misrepresentation you autists though i guess i wrote a bit inaccurately too. The company/creator/franchise listed is the one who made it and the show... a lot more of a link than what you describe. More like putting disney on an ice age listing than the word spyro in a crash bandicoot listing. There are worse offenders like you mention. I somehow feel like she says nothing to them. I kind of wish that i got more schizos too, this hasn't made me angry, just entertained. Only the idea that people are this pushy and anal about other stupid shit irl is very concerning though.>>11671439Never heard of him. What the ever loving fuck. What did he sell or collect and was he ever doxxed?>>11671472Holy shit, and that jew probably thought it would work too.>>11671568If you can prove a seller price gouged you a lot on shipping, can ebay give you back some money?>>11671570But the lulz potential!! Someone suggested that i put those 3 words in every new thing listed from now on and while i wont do everything i fucking loved the idea.
>>11671626>Never heard of him. What the ever loving fuck. What did he sell or collect and was he ever doxxed?I've run into him in a few groups, so he's involved in everything from vintage 80s toys to Marvel Legends and Mythic Legions. It was the Mythic Legions group where he started setting the no leather/no animal mounts rule, which was what made it extra bizarre. I don't think he was ever doxxed. If you want to know who he is, I can't remember his full name, but his FB account name had Go-vegan in it. That's how vegan he was.
>>11671372desu why do buyers try to have random ass conversation with you? Are they that lonely
>>11671685Nice people of all ages talk my ear off at the flea market. At goodwill they hate you and dont want to talk. On ebay, they like to nitpick and fight.
>>11671717>1717And on facebook market place they just waste your time. Motherfucker do you want the sega cd or not?
>>11671384Ehh....it's actually a lot more annoying when people overload their title/descriptions with as many words as humanly possible so that their crap appears n every single search. Making it impossible to narrow down a search in any way because (Chinese dealers usually) overload the descriptions with as many semi-related names as humanly possible. It's why there is no possible method of searching shit on Aliexpress. Every entry is so overblown with titles and names that any search of any kind brings up every single thing that is for sale because everything for sale has every name of every franchise attached to it. No search can be narrowed down at all and it turns into digging and browsing every single time.
>>11671719>"Is this still available?">"Yes.">leaves you on read for 5 days>sell item to someone else>"Wait, did you sell it? I was still going to buy it."
>>11671372Here’s a few of my least favourite kinds of buyer on any online platform:>can you send me more pictures at more and more angles so I can then try to lowball you because you’re now engaged in a potential sale>sob story about not having enough money and it’s their kid’s birthday >more egregiously unbelievable ChatGPT sob story>time waster who seems like they just want somebody to talk to>complaining a used item is used and exactly as described>the potential buyer trying to negotiate is clearly a child and their mommy is going to chargeback this sale>demand cheaper shipping or to use untracked services (no)>check their reviews after they buy, seeing they’re a scammer and immediately have to cancel the sale, block them and relist the item
>>11671472Those are the guys that you break a single lego, claim the items were broken to ebay, and receive a full refund for your trouble.
>>11671750Lol same, fuckers don't even answer after you said the item is available and decide they wanted the damn toy when it's been sold for days.
I want to behead fb market sellers who refuse for ship or take online payment
>>11671775>sob story about not having enough money and it’s their kid’s birthdayMy favorite is the sob story about their child having autism and this hard to find toy is their dream toy and it will literally save Christmas, which is usually combined with single mom/broke sob story to get the toy for cheap or free.
>>11671626>a seller price gouged you a lot on shipping, can ebay give you back some moneyI've formally requested a postage adjustment a few times. And won every time. Ebay even collects their fee from the shipping costs, which some sellers don't understand and realize, so they know that sellers are using it as a way to make money. Some of the charities (Goodwill is notorious for this, and I even reported one to their Better Business Bureau in their state for it) are really notorious about it - and if some of them weren't run by dickless wonders who were also assholes, I wouldn't have cared since I actually donate to my local Goodwill because I do think they do good. [And I don't just mean 'donate' - give them worthless plastic garbage cast offs.]OTOH, I've also started giving small (usually about 10-20% - or $1-2) post sale refund, and clearly marking it as a postage discount, when the shipping label cost me substantially less than even any amount of time/packaging would explain. I'm especially doing this because I'm now using Pirate Shipping and they are about 40% cheaper than even the site's label discount. >>11671472You're lucky. I've had at least 3 situations where I won an auction like this and the seller "cancelled" afterwards. The one time this asshole relisted, I did report him because he was stupid enough to list as 'merchandise not available' as his reason for cancellation and then immediately relisted his shitty toy with an auction minimum the next day.>>11671725Ali is just fucking usless when you can't even sort. Maybe I need to create an account with them to do more sorting that just a casual browser does, but I don't use the site because it's search is clearly more useless and would waste my time than Walmart and Crapazon combined.
>>11671902Where do i request postage adjustment?
Any sites actually worth selling stuff on? I wanna sell stuff, but I dont wanna have to rip people off on Ebay just so I can make back what I spent on the thing Im selling because ebay fees are retarded.Or should I suck it up and rip randos off and try not to care?
>>11671938Fb groups
>>11671921You have to start with the seller. You always have to start with the seller. And then you appeal. I've won at the seller level once, and gave them a glowing review. I've actually sent people to that guy (who coincidentally sells LEGO, which I only started buying in the last 12-16 months and only DC).Once the seller's deny, you request an appeal via the regular dispute mechanism on EB. THAT's when seller discover the there's a clearly stated rule that they cannot charge unreasonable postage. Sellers trying getting away with claiming postage doesn't cover things like packages, preparing and printing labels, yadda yadda bullshit. But if they agreed, in writing to combo ship and then the combo invoice is just 3X their postage fee for one box, one label, etc., they aren't going to win this appeal. In other words, it succeeds because a seller is a stupid imbecile who is unhappy because he didn't get the price he wanted.
This thread made me realize that you can actually talk things over to the seller and see if the price can be lowered, not that it always happends but it's an option kek.Whenever I want something I just click buy.
>>11671902Ali’s image search function works pretty well in my experience, way better than a text search.
>>11672138I always massively overprice things on eBay, just because there are fees and people with too much money who don’t understand or care they can shop from Japanese sites for toys. Means I don’t mind giving a discount if I like the cut of somebody’s jib enough when they drop me a message.
>>11672147In my case that happens from time to time, I put a certain item in my favorites and in a couple of days the seller offers a discount of 20 or 30%, hell, there was a time were a rare piece had a 50% of discount. I guess the dude must've been desperate to sell it.
>>11671967Hmm okay. I asked, didnt get an answer, listings said no, i paid, i imagine the items are coming together. Theres no way shipping was over 15 never mind 80 but i wanted the items, was the only listings online. Guess i have to start with the dispute.
>>11672147>>11672155I decided to get into LEGO but only DC. Since I don't want 5 million Batman sets, that meant secondary market. And over three months of being patient, I ended up with 10 sets at very fair prices compared with what Amazon and Brick have things for. I also do the trick of placing stuff in favorites. But I also write and ask polite questions. Someone had three sets, one new two used. I ask him about combined shipping and if he had loose minifigs he wanted to unload, even civilians. He made up a special listing with postage and some loose that didn't really save me any money but cut the postage down. He also added another set that he wasn't sure was complete but I agreed to take as is.His prices were already fair. I bought it seconds after he posted. I saved about $35 on postage and taxes, since fucking eBay collects fees on the postage, plus I suggested he use Pirate Shipping. It was half of what he was listing, trying to unload plus he probably dumped some loose stuff as well. I would assume he's happy on his part. I am.
>>11672179You need to ask to do the dispute. They will know exactly what he paid in postage. When the package arrives, photograph everything, from the sealed box, taping, packaging supplies and the stuff inside. And photograph clearly the label - Including the weight, zones, etc. Go to the post office or FedEx or whatever he used and get a reverse estimate: this size box from your home to their address, what's the cost. You dispute that difference. Do this when it arrives, don't dawdle and put it off. I forget the specifics but you have to do it within so many days.
>>11673161>eBay collects fees on the postageThat's fucking ridiculous.
>>11671372hear me and hear me wellEVERY single loser faggot retard who immediately starts spamming you with "HAVE YOU SHIPPED YET? CAN YOU SEND ME THE TRACKING NUMBER?? IT'S BEEN 2 DAYS HAVE YOU SHIPPED YET??" needs to be shot in the face. I don't know what it is about autistic spergs but people should know that regular people are not fucking Amazon and don't have next day shipping. I'd say at least half of all sales I make go like this:>someone inquires about item, they wind up wanting it, I send one message telling them how to pay and asking for their address. When they send their address I say "thanks, I'll let you know once it's on the way in a few days">1-2 days max passes>message at 2AM (message deleted because even they know they're autistic spergs freaking out like a fucking faggot)>message at 6AM "hey did you ship yet?">message at 9AM "can you send me tracking?">message at 3PM "???">message at 9PM "You said you would ship in 2 days I would just like the tracking info please">next day message 7AM "are you there???">another 10 messages freaking out claiming I scammed themAt this point I pop back in and inform them that I told them I would message them when I shipped, was something not clear about that? Sometimes I refund them right away and tell them to fuck off, other times I deliberately don't send the package and block them just because I am so fucking sick of these fucking dumb cocksuckers being annoying that I hope they think "man i can't believe i got scammed" and never decide to buy anything off the internet again in the hopes I don't have to ever fucking deal with them again.
>>11673172I think this has genuinely mindbroken some sellers, I bought something the other day and the seller immediately messaged to apologise they couldn’t ship it out that evening. I was a bit baffled, having expected them to just post it in 2-3 days and said it was fine and I wasn’t expecting them to run out at 9PM to somehow post something out to me.
>>11673172>>11673490Yup, some people are really this desperate for a piece of plastic. Hell I read some messages from autists who cannot wait 3 days for an item to be shipped.
>>11673494Plastic crack is addictive.Add the gambling/hoarding/shopping psychosis that eBay also feeds and you have a perfect storm of assholeness.
Not really a horror story but>buyer bundles two items together right before new years>take four days to send it because my local post office is on weird hours>in their feedback they mention that I took a while to post it when by default I have a weekDude your order was less than £10 fuck off
>>11674041I live in a small town. Large Metro area but small town. We do have four post offices within three KMs of where I live but they sometimes keep banker's hours compared to larger stations.I would just put that in your listing: if you buy before Friday, don't expect it to ship out before Monday. Assume two business days (or whatever you want to put) before it ships, and Friday and Saturdays are not considered business days. Etc.
>>11674041My local post office went through a phase of being open between 8AM to 3PM only, so only the unemployed and WfHs could ever use it. Four days sounds about right around New Years as well, customers forget private sellers aren’t Amazon.
