Incase anyone hasnt been made aware, Target is currently clearancing TF crossovers Bumble-MAA and Skeletron at 16.49 a pop. Concept series Spikor is going for the same price now too. Even the 80th anniversary vintage reissues and stranger things sets are discounted

>>11672399I wish the sketchbook figures were easy for you to acquire. If you are in Canada, I wonder how easy or worth a trip to a nearest Target in the states would be. They are usually at most Targets and stay available for a couple months until clearanced out. Some Targets are slow to get them though, so would be worth going to multiple, under such a hypothetical situation.
>>11672399>>11673350Amazon.ca has the Hordak/Grizzlor set for a reasonable (by their standards) price. Costs only slightly more than your average single carded figure. Sy-klone is there too but it's at scalper price and Spikor isn't there at all yet.

Cool, my dragstor, sting or and extra vultak came in. Its been awhile since ive got a new origins figure and its really fun to get that feeling of excitement again. Ive been collecting since the start so by the time the thunder cats stuff happened i was just fatigued and not all into the idea of another cross over after the TOG stuff, and when i saw the transformers stuff i just walked off from motu completely. But yeah, im glad i didnt box up my collection as i still really do enjoy the series.

Anyways, as soon as I saw those thigh guards on the wizard, I knew Blast must be coming.
>>11676948Getting to the end boys. Still hoping for a 87 Movie Figures blowout in 2027 for vintage origins. Releasing the vintage Blade, Gwildor and Saurod, then the sketch series gets Karg and Dark Trooopers. MC exclusives of Heman, Teela, MAA, Skeletor, Super Saiyan Skeletor, and Evil Lyn, Beastman, Soreceress maybe.

And the duck feet really kill the design imo, slipper feet wouldve been a better choice.
>>11677234>Keep it toy relatedAnon literally said he wanted a toy of a MotU-related design?
>>11677289Don't be foolish. That's how it always start before the troll gets fed and grows bolder. Most people agree that Catra was fuckable but notice how immediately after he was simping for fat Glimmer and butch dyke Scorpia? If you've been in these threads for a couple years, you'd know how this goes.>inb4 arguements about PoP rights>inb4 weird lewd comments about Razz's thick ass and huge jewish milkers>inb4 anon starts calling out someone named Tiff.
>>11677270Id agree with you but for the fact that Dylamug happening in either form is extremely slim, and the non-vintsges that are likely to happen aren't gonna top BAAnd this is probably just a me thing, but BA is more exciting to me than Two Bad. So vintage or not, I don't see them cranking out anyone more hype. Not for my taste. (But yeah, IF they made 'mug, he'd do it. So would Gygor or Wrap Trap. But I doubt they'll happen this year even if they do eventually come. Shezar might do it too because of how low demand she is, probably just me and one other guy here asking for her so her happening would generate hype from me just from being unexpected even if she isn't as cool as BA)
>>11677316Well to be fair the Razz stuff is usually related to a decent enjoyer who's cool enough and kind of did something hilarious. Nu-ra posting with should be called out for what it is without too much debate It always devolves a good portion of the thread.Announcements or anything that would usually attract attention is usually followed by pathetic trolling.
>>11677362Can I get the Classics bio on the Razz poster? I saw that he spammed people at Mattel with Rule 34 of Razz. How did fans come to know about it, did they have to make an annoucement or something?Regardless, I'm happy to see Blast Attak.
>>11677421kek that was me, except I'm not even razz anon. >>11677008he's basically a homage to Hero Quest, but those golden duck feet kill it for me. Pic related.
I'm not the nu-ra troll but reading this thread got me thinking about how I'd buy her if they made her but how unlikely that is.And this lead to a thought about how they could have used the Cartoon Collection not as a way to cherry pick characters who only appeared in a Motu cartoon without feeling obligated to complete the whole casts. It wouldn't have to be limited to one character per show either. Then my mind wandered to how hard that Cartoon fat uncle Whiplash is going to pegwarm. Sad!>>11677356Wrap Trap, Mug and Gygor would get fans so hyped again. Being drip fed vintage wouldn't be so bad if they were making heavy hitters like these. All I want is 5.5 scale Wrap Trap and it hurts to think that we will probably get that fat bug Horde Lady before him.>ShezarHad to look her up but she looks cool. Deep cuts like her are more appealing to me than axelslop OC's.
>>11677427Axel didn't even come up with it. Fuck, come on dude. Mattel why are you letting him do this to your line? For your next trick why don't you send Mattel a cease and desist as the folks from Hero Quest.
>>11677421There was an unsolved mysteries about it. Apparently a bunch of mattel employees died in a fire shortly there after. I think those milkers just set someone off. Also stoked for Blast Attack
>>11676948Wait, didn't we just get a January figure and there's already another?
>>11675881These two are going to look so good together, I'm putting them in a tag-team.
>>11677639The staff weapon thing
>>11677204Im almost certain Stonedar is next.I'll play it cool and say that giants and laser variants arent coming too soon.So movie figures and Energy Zoids before 2bad I'd count as "unlikely but not impossible".Keep in mind, I dont know if Mattel will release themed figures (Zoids, giants etc) back to back or in 2-packs or separately.
>>11677204Unlikely but not impossible, that's how I'd count Zoids and movie figs.Stonedar is almost certain, while giants and lasers are very unlikely. The other question is what Mattel with do with themed figs (Zoids, lasers, etc) Back to back? Multi packs? Spaced out?
>>11677762Imagine if they actually made the launcher vehicle to go with the zoids
>>11677568It was in the launch calendar that there was a CG figure on the 9th and a regular release on the 28th, so this isn't entirely a surprise The fact that it's Blast-Attak caught me off guard. Like they just released both Multi-Bot and Dragstor. THREE vintages back to back? After two years of slow drip feed? Wild. Really gets me wondering if that means we need to brace for another looooong dry spell. Like iirc, it was 9 months between Extendar and Rio-Blast/Modulok, then 3 or four months to H Hordak, then another 7 or 8 until now getting the 3 guys we're getting now. Will we not get another vintage until Fall? Or is this a sign that maybe they're actually gonna listen to "finish vintage" posters and hit a more consistent tempo until the end?
>>11677767Considering the gap between Rokkon/Stonedar and Modulok/Multi-Bot?My personal guess would be Zoids split up. Movie guys too. Lasers might not be because He-Man and Skeletor variants always go hand in hand.
>>11677783I wouldn't be surprised if tempo stayed 4 figures a year (Rokkon, Sy-Klone, Extendar, Modulok/Dragstor H. Hordak, Multi-Bot, Rio Blast/ Blast-Attak, ???, ???, ???)So we'll get 3 more guys but might be later with the 4th one especially at very end of the year,
>>11677316>you’d know how this goesNTA but the fact that this general has show-that-must-not-be-named because a group of anons go into meltdown if it gets referenced in two posts in a row is a bit silly.
>>11677770I don’t want to imagine it because it won’t come true. Then again, I am (hopefully) now getting the Mattel Mighty Orbots prototype as an actual toy so who fucking knows maybe there’s hope yet.
It honestly irks me that the Energy Zoids are so expensive for reasons that generally aren’t even because people like them. Vintage collectors pay ever-increasing prices and drive up their value, and in most cases it seems to just be to “complete” their collection and not because they actually like them. I’ve loved them ever since seeing Rotar in some Norem(?) art but fuck me those prices. Anyway, thank you for reading my blog.
>>11677803If you're right, and if the "2027 will be movie anniversary year" theories are right, the last one at the end of this year could be Blade in December or something. I mean, CC She-Ra came out fall or winter 2024 and didnt wait until her actual year-of-anniversary, so one of the trio being late this year seems conceivable
>>11677821They are kind of rare, aren't they? Not "European only release Laser duo" level of rarity, but they are one of only a few things I don't remember seeing as a kid even once, and I owned a few of the 87 mooks like Mosquitor and Scareglow. And the ones I didn't get, I saw a few times except for Blast Attack who only saw once and regret not getting.
>>11677830Yeah, they were much less distributed than many figures, so when many vintage completists are buying them for the sake of completion alone and further restricting the supply it makes it hard for mugs like me who love them to get them. A complete, good condition Rotar is like £200 which is crazy.
I had Rotar as a kid and it always amazes me that people want him now. Not saying they are wrong or anything but if a couple of figures get skipped in Origins, it absolutely wouldn't bother me if it was the Zoids.
>>11677925Their design and silhouette really pops next to the rest of the line and they’ve got a totally unique and very cool gimmick.
>>11677952>silhouetteyou mean the one he casts as a fallen over lump of plastic? yeah I guess that's pretty unique.

This nu captcha is kinda annoying
>>11677925I never had either of them as a kid and that's WHY I want them so bad.I'll never afford vintage ones and I want the authentic zoid experience, none of that Classics "give them legs" schtick if it interferes with them actually acting as tops. Just so I can see if they're as bad as people like yourself make them out as or if theyre actually really fun. I just got to know. >>11678009The Nu-Ra-dventures.
>browsing around on Mattel Creations>notice that Motherboard, Geldor and Night Stalker are all finally showing as "Sold Out"Never thought I'd see the day. But good on them, though. Glad they lasted long enough that really everyone that actually wanted them should definitely have gotten them. And if even characters that got maligned as total shitters can still eventually sell out, even if it takes a year, no reason they shouldn't keep making them and get gunshy over certain characters. Hopefully that means there'll be hope for all our most wanted "literal whos" , whoever that might be for (YOU)

There was a few instances where he sent them stuff. Razz PosterReal Name: ffhhhgfdxddg In the new era of action figures for Masters of the Universe called Origins. A bold take on the vintage styling of the original figures. Origins launched during a modern plague but managed to catch the attention of new collectors everywhere. Sales were great and Mattel had to expand the line besides the retail arm with online exclusives on the Mattel Creations site. During the sale for the Savage He-Man named Wun-Dar, the surge of collectors overloaded the system on sale day and caused it a sell out in under a minute but also damaged the sale site. The listing came back up shortly after but every single one of those orders were canceled. Wun-Dar’s aftermarket quickly exploded to $120-150 on sale sites which upset the fanbase who was not able to get him. One fan who had enough intended to punish the Mattel team who was celebrating the quick sell out. Using the power of Rule34 and the reach of Linkedin, he managed to dig up pornographic fan art of probably the ugliest MOTU character, old Madam Razz. He announced on the MOTU General on /toy/ of his intention and launched a furious assault against the Mattel team using their emails. Not being able to bear the sight of her saggy purple tits and gray haired purple pussy taking loads of dick, Brand Manager Josh Graham quickly announced they would run a made to order sale for another run of the figure so any fan who wanted one would get it. Like around SDCC or in early fall? The timing is right if it's like last time and this IS supposed to be a year for pushing a lot of brand hype with the movie coming out.
>>11679882Doesn't match the movie design so that's weird
>>11679930>$200+Oof, gonna pass.
>>11679882Movie toy?
>>11679967That entire thing was a fucking mess. Including Fright Zone was complete bullshit, and no doubt fucked with the votes in a way that we'll never know. The retarded roll out, massive price tag and changing of the design was a big fuck you too, and them having to redesign the entire thing to make it more like the original design was laughable. This is all a long way of saying I have no confidence in a future big project or a big vote. Anything new will have to be some degree of OC, and I don't know of anything that would be able to get enough hype when the snake lair barely made it after two rounds of funding and fucky votes. I did really like the Horde Doom Tower but I can't see that ever happening. I'd love the giant dinosaur too, but that would need significant upgrades from the proto to not have it be boring (Like some kind of dino riders esque rig on top).
>>11680140God these all look like shit
>>11680305They're definitively way more articulated than classics, but it seems like a downgrade in any other way (minus maybe the awful over use of making everything armor, but too soon to tell), we didn't know what we had till it was too late...
>>11679967>So do you think they'll announce a new one this year? Like around SDCC or in early fall?As the other anon said, Snake Lair was a shit show from start to finish, barely got basic funding, and the final goal (Snake Horse) was unlocked based on it getting funded because people complained. It looked nothing like the pitch, had to be redesigned only to still not look like the pitch, and was a hardly over the goal of being funded. Which probably went under because not every backer actually "backs" and then default on payment. So no, they're probably not going to do another.
>>11679930lol, no. A 1/12 van was early bird for like $100 and Battle Bones is straight up $200? Nah
>>11680606OR just don't try to hamfist more over priced Snake Shit. I would be down for a simple playset, designed for displaying my collection. How impossible would it be to start a crowd fund to make this prototype a reality?
>>11680652Sculptor, factory contacts, an honest factory. Ramen would still probably charge $200 early bird for two castle plates and three modular floor pieces. 1500-2000 minimum order. Seen vacuum form sets be $75 but as big as the front of Classic Grayskull
>>11680652It wouldn’t be. There’s a guy who loved a robot that was shown in 2 pages in a 1985 Mattel toy catalog. It never made it past that prototype in those pics. It just completed a successful kickstarter and will be made. You’d definitely have to open up for international shipping since something like this would go over big in Latin America. On a smaller scale there were some guys making those vacuform Grayskulls before. These should be a piece of cake. At the very least someone could do a 3D print of it. I’m surprised Formo hasn’t looked into this yet.
>>11680761>It never made it past that prototype in those pics. It just completed a successful kickstarter and will be made.Link?
>>11680305>>11680318Yep
Anyone try buying cheap MV figures on clearance or at Ross to upgrade Origins versions?
>>11680829https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/themightyorbots/mighty-orbots-deluxe-combining-12-figure-1985-editionThis was kind of a bummer towards the end. The guy who was pushing this through passed away on 12/31. He got to see the functional prototype at SDCC. Ace from Ramen is handling the production. The guy also put up a lot of his own money into getting things going ahead of the kickstarter so it should be moving into production soon.
It seems the trailer is this thursday...finally
>>11680652Ive probably shilled this idea here before, but I REALLY want a battle arena inspired by the one in Slave City and Energy Zoids The one in the comics is pretty non-descript so that would give them the free license to add whatever flourishes and ornamentation they like without (I assume) the same kind of pushback altering Snake Lair caused...because I don't think MotU fans would want it to be bog-standard, they like playsets to feel like "characters" in their own right. That's why all the sets have faces. Make it's theming intentionally vague so that fans can decide for themselves if they want it to be a Heroic, Evil or Horde arena. Depending on how ambitious with size you wanna go, have a central dais along with seating for a dozen or two dozen figures in the stands (battle Bones can carry a dozen so I don't think we're going too wild with that much seating). Include weapons racks, maybe a beast of some kind for figures to fight, maybe known arena fighter characters like Garn packed in. I think it'd at least catch MotU fans interest. (I'm picturing a MotU equivalent to the Schleich Eldtador battle arena or the Star Wars Geonosis playset)
>>11680978stfu anon, anytime someone says that they push it back another week
>>11679002Caught up on this. Pretty good so far; love the art and sheer amount of franchise characters and concepts it features. Don't like that they killed my boy for shock value (won't name him for spoiler reasons)
>>11680969Oh hey I backed that. RIP that guy and his wholesome dream.
>>11681035I don't know why you'd need to keep it secret for spoiler reasons when the five page preview of issue 3 specifically shows right out the gate who's dead. But anyway, that fact has kind of chilled my hype for this comic. If they're only two issues in and already killing c- and d-listers, it makes me not even want to see some of my favs show up at all because I'd rather they not get used at all then see them just be cannon fodder, so I don't even know if I'll bother to follow the story at all after the current arc.
>>11681072>previewWrong death, anon. Also even if I did mean the same guy, not everyone reads previews.
>>11681113Then I genuinely don't know who you mean...no one else is definitely dead...Do you mean the stab-victim? Because I don't think they made it clear yet that he died from that. And all the other heroes got escorted back to the palace. Some of them I guess MIGHT end up dead, but it's not confirmed yet
>>11681125Yes, the “stab victim”. It doesn’t matter if they do a handwaved “they got better” next issue (in the grand scheme of things they can kill anyone it doesn’t matter at all, it’s comics); it’s just a cheap narrative shock in a otherwise pretty solid comic, abd thus my least favourite bit.
>>11681134I honestly got a bigger reaction out of what happened with Stridor. With the stab victim I was like "Yeah no way they're gonna kill him off" but with Stridor I really couldn't tell if he's dead or not.
Nice we got an AI Razz MV figure. Look at that rapeface on Broom. This could probably be used by Razzanon to send to Mattel but maybe I’ll make some Gwildor and Razz AI smut for when the time comes and he’s needed again. This newer team seems like a bunch of snowflakes do it should be interesting.
>>11681162I found the Stridor “mercy kill” scene pretty powerful, yeah, and IMO much better writing than the stabbing.
>>11681162>>11681218Stridor being a robot gives me the feeling that this was just "turn the power off until I can fix it". I actually more laughed because his speech balloon says "neiiin" so I imagine he's German. Also Teela calls him "girl".
>>11681225
>>11681225>Also Teela calls him "girl"I’m pretty sure the implication is that it’s one of multiple Stridors; MAA calls it “the Stridor” iirc
>>11681238I must've missed that
>>11681002Just have some basic decorations swappable to make it fiting for each faction. >>11675881Too bad most of head are too wide to fit his staff trough, you could make it look he's strangling people. Maybe on Vypor. As it is, you can only put arm trough it.
>>11681229Why is there cum everywhere? This Freddie Williams guy really seems like a coomer. Everything is beastiality and purple sticks.
>>11680978>>11681028WHEN WHEN WHEN
You know what I'm looking forward to the most about when Origins eventually ends?Making a big ass battle scene out of whatever the final character count ends up being a la picrel. Having everyone from every team in a big ol' melee(Don't get me wrong, I'm not wishing it to end soon or anything, because the more unique characters we get, the bigger and cooler the scene will eventually be. But it's something to look forward to.)

That's a fucking teaser, I'm hyped. Roboto looks beefy too- his voice actress should be funny.>CRINGER

>>11683203Hype
>>11683203Do you guys think they will reveal Skeletor tomorrow? Or keep his design a surprise?
>>11683203NiceApaprently the toyline will be revealed next week at Nuremberg and more at NYTF
>>11683211>>11683233So the people who said "they look just like the original toys" were all liars.Don't get me wrong, these look good, but that Roboto and Roton aren't very toy accurate
>>11683211Huh, the costumes looks nice. Cringer looks decent.
>>11683233If you slow down the video you can see the ship in front flaps it's wings. It's the Fright Fighter.
>>11683252The people who said they look like the original toys are normies who had the toys, to them they look just like that, but you are too autistic and need it to be 1:1.
>>11683233I wonder if this is the opening scene? From leaks movie is 80% Eternia and 20% Earth.
>>11683272No, it's from the final battle, in the film Skeletor ruled Eternia for 15 years when Adam returns to defeat him. But yeah, majority of the film is on Eternia, sort of like John Carter of Mars
>>11683272>>11683275Adam is born and raised on Eternia until he's forced to go to Earth when he's 10 years old and becomes stranded for 15 years there before coming back home.He remembers his time and friends on Eternia, he just doesn't remember the Heroic warriors names so he draws them to remember and aptly gives them his own nicknames. Cue the Origins of Ram-Man! Fisto!
>>11683203>that musicMotherfucker, I'm in
>>11683203Sooooo….Adam is in a MOTU collectors room..?? That is silly as all hell!!! Someone visited (Adam's mom?) Eternia and made toys off of what they witnessed? Would have MUCH preferred that MOTU didn’t exist in their reality.Oh well, still excited tho
>>11683289>>someone Mark Taylor obviously.
>>11683203Neat
>>11683203Looks good but I feel it will bomb and take MotU with it for good. Just gonna enjoy the moment.
>>11683203I'm very curious if normies will care about it, this movie was never going to be an easy sell no matter what studio did it.
>>11683203Will mattel brickshop do sets?
>>11683345Eh, i consider it as 'not for me' so i dont mind if i dislike it but i doubt it will tank the motu collective. Shit, ive read years of doomposting in this general and here we are. Those first few waves and the kronis and keldor two pack were dire times, motu will survive as it tends to do.
>>11683203>>11683211>>11683233This movie is the first $200 million big budget film for director Travis Knight, I'm very curious to see it.
>>11683203>>11683233I'm hyped for this. My girlfriend was like "I hope they have a moral at the end like the episodes we watched". Lmao if the post-credits scene is Adam saying "In today's story, Skeletor tried to take the easy way..."

>>11682567>You know what I'm looking forward to the most about when Origins eventually ends?>Making a big ass battle scene out of whatever the final character count ends up being a la picrel.I keep thinking about that. I guess with Powers of Grayskull it would be a time travel situation with them all pulled to when the main cast lives.
Teaser looks cool, I'll check out the trailer, but so far there hasn't been anything I've seen that would make me want to buy a toy from the movie. Maybe if they make cool role play toys, been wanting a new version of this for ages.
>>11683280>Cue the Origins of Ram-Man! Fisto!I was led to believe that Ram Man and Fisto were born that way.
>>11683412New York Toy Fair.
Sorry if you guys get this question a lot. What's the one definitive retroish He-man and Skeletor to get? I have some mastalgia for the cartoon but never hand any of the toys. I already collect a lot of other stuff so I can't let myself get carried away.
>>11683692Turtles of greyskull heman
>>11683692There's a 2-pack of vintage style Heman and Skeletor available at target RIGHT NOWish.
>>11683211Is that Starship Eternia?
>>11683211That's actually not bad looking. I think it looks a bit too bright, like the clouds should be darker, but that is my only nit-pick so far.Is that robot meant to be Roboto? I can't tell.Man-at-Arms looks good. Adam looks good. Teela looks decent (wish she had her hair in a bun). Battle Cat looks actually pretty good.I was going to complain it looked too sci-fi, but it seems like it a decent mix of medieval and sci-fi which is pretty spot on to what Eternia should look like. I think it needs a bit more color still.>>11683390That would be amazing, I want that too now.
Alright where is Orange???
>>11683786>I think it needs a bit more color still.Usually SFX aren't really final until near release these days. There are lots of movie trailers which were different from the final version the last few years
>>11683790Orange is the key to all this, if we get Orange working. ‘Cause he’s a funnier character than we’ve ever had in the movies.
>>11683786>>11683818Keep in mind movie marketing and trailers are done by different companies and many times they recolor scenes to fit in with the rest of the trailer to create a trailer narrative. So they look like they are part of the same scene if you will, even though they are different scenes in the movie.
At what hour should the trailer drop? Hopes on what they show? I wanna see Skeletor
>>11683211>TeelaCamila is hot and her jumpsuit looks alright, hopefully it will look better on film.>Man-at-ArmsIf you're going to black up Man-at-Arms Idris is a good choice, his look is the best of what we've seen so far.>CringerLooks great, I hope the finished CGI isn't wonky.>GirlbotoLooks awful, like any generic Sci-fi robot. I hope the "comedy relief" voice is at least modified in some way and isn't just Kristen Wiig's actual voice sarcastically dropping one-liners.
Hi, I am new to this fandom. I only started looking into it after seeing the teaser for the trailer, and before that I honestly did not even know this IP existed. I did a bit of digging afterward and watched some videos, animations, and what felt like a documentary, but something stood out to me and I wanted to ask.Are there any racist or classist undertones in He Man and the Masters of the Universe?I am not familiar with the lore of He Man or She Ra at all, so this might be a dumb question. How did Skeletor even gather his forces to fight He Man in the first place? Were Skeletor’s followers mistreated in Eternia before joining him? From the outside, it kind of looks like a class conflict. He Man is literally a prince of Eternia, so his side represents royalty and power. Skeletor’s side seems to be made up of the displaced, the poor, and the ones society treats as monsters because they are ugly or different.I do not remember seeing any characters like that on He Man’s side, at least not by human standards. Are there any monsters or visibly marginalized characters who fight alongside He Man, or is that contrast intentional?Just trying to understand if this is something people have talked about before or if I am reading way too much into it.
>>11683924At least in the original, Skeletor is just a joyously irredeemable cunt and He-Man is a Superman-esque determinedly good guy. It’s not trying to convey any wider message than doing the right thing or that your parents are the people who raise you, related or not. Also he trusts a funny displaced little goblin guy with his most precious secret so he doesn’t really judge.
It seems Mattel will have a huge hall for MotU next week at Nuremberg Toy Fair
>>116832032026 OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS>"After being separated for 15 years, the Sword of Power leads Prince Adam (Nicholas Galitzine) back to Eternia, where he discovers his home shattered under the fiendish rule of Skeletor (Jared Leto). To save his family and his world, Adam must join forces with his closest allies, Teela (Camila Mendes) and Duncan/Man-At-Arms (Idris Elba), and embrace his true destiny as He-Man — the most powerful man in the universe."Also, only a small amount of screen time is set on Earth according to those that saw the test screenings. 90% of the film is all on Eternia.
>>11683612You could also just ignore time differences. The cartoon had Gray and Eldor lookalikes years before PoG was even dreamed of.
>>11684021Its because Eldor is an incredibly boring design.>Ok so he's an old ass wizard>let's give him a white beard>total fucking genius>brown bathrobe with a hood>toy designs unmatched until we are blessed by the Spectre.
>>11683211Never go full disney.
>>11684040It's funny, you know, I see a lot of online chatter speculating that Eldor will be the character they use "reignite hype" for Club Grayskull when renewal time comes. And I just think to myself "why would you pick the generic old geezer as your big driver and not something like Draego-Man which is legitimately cool that's currently tied to PoG?"And I understand he has the "unproduced vintage" pedigree, but that doesn't magically make him cool. Am I wrong? Do any of you consider Eldor "hype?"
>>11684047I think Eldor is an incredibly basic, boring design, and I'll probably skip him unless he comes with some crazy accessory or is packed in with another figure I really want.
>>11684082Obi-Wan has a laser sword and was played by Sir Alec Guinness. Eldor doesn't have a laser sword.
>>11684082No one is saying it's weirdThey're saying he's lame. The character itself makes perfect sense but he's dreadfully uninteresting. This is MotU. Everything is colorful and flamboyant. If you're going to do "wise old mentor", at least give him an eye catching color palette. These five are old man wizards too, and every single one is still more visually interesting than Eldor.See also Motta the Wizard
Well it's tomorrow, where is the trailer?

>>11684128I am cautiously optimistic. There were no immediate red flags. That's as good as it gets for me these days.
>>11684128KINO
Apparently Leto is not going to promote the movie.... I wonder why...
>>11684128It looks hopeful. My only concern is the 'its going to get pretty weird' comment from Teela because I hope they don't quip a lot in the movie like the super hero movies do. Otherwise looks good. At the very least, pretty happy about the character designs. From quick glances: Evil Lynn looked spot on. Fisto, Spikor (?), Beast Man, and Trap Jaw all looked decent.
>>11684128Gonna check it out after work then. This is a full trailer correct?
>>11684174Lol, no this is the teaser, whatever that means.
>>11684174Yes>>11684176Shows more than a teaser
>>11684172>My only concern is the 'its going to get pretty weird' comment from TeelaI share your concern about not wanting it to be too quippy, but giving the line the benefit of the doubt, a smart writer would use that line (and the subsequent weirdness) as a way to show how difficult and potentially dangerous it is to go through whatever portal/warp between Earth and Eternia they go through to explain why characters don't just bounce back and forth between the two planets all the time.
>>11684180Hey, is not my fault studios use the name as such, I agree is retarded tho, back in my day this >>11683203 would be closer to a teaser.

>>11684532You just know they'll make a "Black Man-at-Arms" joke at some point in the movie.
>>11684575Does he smell skunk-like at least? Some review I saw said he smelled either like citrus or just strong plasticizer.
Just saw the trailer, ok that looked better than it had any right to be.
>>11684483I love how we dont know if name but if you say the dogshit one, everyone will get it.
>>11684544Probably works for literal peanuts like most people in modern comics. You get what you paid for.
>>11684581Man-At-Arms played by Idris ELBOW.
>>11684483Atrocious art, this better be where they tease an origins Scare-Mare

>>11680140i can't wait for walmart to cancel mine
>>11684677Haven't they already? I could've sworn Scaremare was in a comic...I don't think I'm getting confused with GBWs unicorn, but maybe I am
>>11684483Pogchamp Scareglow was not something I ever expected to see.
>>11684532>MAA race swapped>Yeah, I don't have a good feeling about this. It's because you and everyone else knows why they did it. Should've made him an all new character - Immersion Breakor.
>>11684340>>11684341>>I'm Gonna-I'm Gonna BLAAAAAST
>>11684761Or they could have used Clamp Champ. Maybe that's what they did and that's him instead of duncan.
>>11684532>MAA race swappedBesides not matching the skin color, he does look like MAA to me, so I don't see a problem here>pronounskek I think you missed the joke anon
>>11684775That would make even less sense.Elba is way too old playing Clamp Champ.
>>11684403>NEW donutsteal OC SnakemanThat looks like one of the 200X ones
>>11684764>Suicide Bombor
>>11684474You know it's zoomers because they don't have jobs so they would see something that's been a standard in (well paying) jobs as woke propaganda because either they're still mooching off their parents or they don't have name plaques at McDonalds
>>11683695Aside from his torn boot, you're not wrong. I took all the "stealth" bits today, and to my surprise, there's a nice He-Man in that He-Man figure.
