Though light on accessories, their articulation alone should make for some great pics. Which lines are you most looking forward to? Is there too much Legions Content for you to keep up with? >>11682116So it seems like the only "new" thing they showed off at the live event was the Elf Thief. Overall not surprised by the build choice, but it is nice to see the throwing knives and bandolier included. I can't see his main weapon, but I'm gonna assume it's the sheathed dagger. They did confirm there will be an accompanying class change set for him that will also change his race, but no details as to what it'll be. Though they did confirm the $30 price point for the figures, so that's something at least. It's crazy how ten years ago, the fully painted "deluxe" figures were the ones going for $30 bucks, now that's the "cheaper" price point.
>>11682485They also showed off the new RPG Cleric build along side the SDCC Exclusive black and gold preview figure. The red standard release version will come packed as a Paladin and won't include the hooded head or magic staff, he'll also have a sculpted torso and skirt where the SDCC version had both Paladin and Cleric looks included in the box and had a soft goods tunic. The SDCC version will see limited re-release during the Kickstarter, but the Red version will be widely available along side the Cleric Upgrade set.
>>11682486>If only you knew...
>>11682485>It's crazy how ten years ago, the fully painted "deluxe" figures were the ones going for $30 bucks, now that's the "cheaper" price point.$33 was the price in the first Kickstarter, and then they were $35 on the store. That was for the Covenant of Shadow wave at least, I didn't buy any Legions from the store prior to that wave. These still have more detailed deco than most Legion Builders, so they feel like a good midrange price point for what you get. Fully painted rivets and buckles and a human face for $30 at the expense of some accessory parts? I'll take it.Of course, I'd be stoked if they do some nice monochrome Legion Builders like Gold/Silver/Black Knights again for less than $30. I still can't believe the only gunmetal Legion Builder they ever did was the Iron Knight on the female buck. You'd think that color would be a license to print money.
>>11682674It kills me to this day that the "Red Shield Soldier" wasn't a Legion Builder. Even if they labeled it "deluxe" and threw a single layer of paint on it, I probably would've bought four. I don't know why they have such an aversion to Legion Builders when for the most part they always sell well. I really hope they drop a surprise reinforcement wave on us at some point, but I guess I'll have to settle for the RPG figures being the new army builders. I agree that for long term fans, more paint for less gear is a good trade off. But there's always new collectors who won't have storage bins full of extra gear to make use of, so having traditional Legion Builders would still be welcomed.
So gonna swing away from Mythic Legions and 1:12 entirely to show off one of my other favorite, though seemingly very short lived, fantasy lines, Gahsapon Quest.I been following this line for a year or two now, and I'm pretty sure I'm done getting everything I want out of it. After assembling and arranging my own little JRPG Adventurer's Guild, and then buying them a Playmobil castle to hang out in, I realized I should probably think up a guild name for em. So /mfg/, lets here some ideas for names of this Guild!
>>11682744Too cute. Feel free to post more pics.As for names, I'm not the one you should ask. I'm terrible at names and they are always some shit pun or reference. For example, the first Mustang I get in Red Dead Redemption 2 I always name Sally.Mustang Sally. So you don't want me suggesting names for your guild. It will be some dumb shit like Super Kawaii Adventure Squad.
>>11682759Yes, I was never good at naming groups either. I have a default one I usually fall back on if I ever have to name a group in games, but it's not really fitting for this team of Adventurers. As for more pics, I'll try and get some internal castle shots tomorrow. I used Re-Ment stuff to decorate the a small pub and the boss's office, so it's got some life to it. But I need to find more furniture to set up a good weapon shop/smithy and a magic lab. I also need to find a better place to display the castle as I don't really know how long I'll be able to keep it on the kitchen table... In the mean time, here's a pic of the two youngest adventurers facing off against and Eldrador Frost Wolf in one of their first quests.
