It's supposed to be in the same wave as Scale, but that doesn't mean much. I wish they would come out and say "these will be in stores on this date" instead of stuff showing up out of nowhere. It's funny that Hasbro will probably have Wheel and Heavy out by the end of February, but there's no mention of Pegasus Blast releasing at all.

i've seen people pushing this but i just think it isn't clear enough. you can clearly see the V in valkyrie's motif, and the R is pretty explicit in ragnaruk's too, but this S and B are both just kind of vague sways in its design, the B especially is way too far of a reach.

I recently got Talon Ptera and although the design looks cool, his performance in battle leaves much to be desired. Any good combos you guys have for him?

I'm trying to make a Dino Deck and have Roar Tyrano on 9-60 Taper. It's pretty fun and feels so much more consistent and manageable than when he was on GF. He's gone from being unreliable to a top contender and is now one of my mom's favorite beys.

I also ordered Beat Tyrano from the dual pack with Knife Shinobi. I think it's kind of funny to have two tyranos but he looks cool and his design is different enough to make a case for him. I'm also considering tricera press. Is he any good? I really want to make a cool defense or counter attack bey since that was what I liked to use back during plastic era. I hope we get a heavy Ankylosaur smash attacker eventually. He's my favorite dino.

assuming you're only buying stock of stuff in the X line and not older gens like Burst/Metal Fight then everything should work just fine. The only real difference is whether it's for a left or right spinning bey and at this point left-spinners are very few and far between. with western releases it's literally only pic related.

The one of the right has been the best bey in the game ever since its release. Also, for the launchers, as long as the box says "right spin launcher", doesnt matter if it's listed as "String Launcher", "Winder Launcher" or "Proto Launcher", both of these beyblades specifically could be used with right spin launchers

i get that literally everything is lining up perfectly for this to be bahamut, and “bahamut blitz” certainly does sound like an attack type but are we *certain* that this is it? are we *absolutely certain* that this can’t possibly be dran strike or something else? because if so then why the fuck is it attack type when the original line was defense? why the fuck does it spin right, when the original line was left spinning? sure, perseus dark wasn’t dual spin so it’s not entirely impossible, but switching the spin direction entirely? i’d argue those were a core defining part of it’s identity, as the defense type in a left spinning dragon motif trio with longinus and fafnir. i fucking hated every second of burst but even i could tell that this was obviously supposed to be a thing, why would they suddenly change that, when literally every other homage stays identical to the source material, unless this ISNT bahamut?

... It forms a circle. Nothing oblong shaped, just a circle. There are three Bahamut in Burst and all three of them spin left and do the same thing; when they take damage and start to unlock, their 'wings' begin to open and turn the beyblade into a near perfect circle. In concept doing this is supposed to reduce recoil on hits and negate impacts, though the actual practice and execution of it don't really allow for such in an actual battle.

I never owned the first Bahamut, Arc, from Evolution but I do have Dread from GT (Rise) and Roar from DB (Quaddrive along with the pink variant that released with a stadium) and it's damn near impossible to get their gimmick to activate. Now something these two beyblade have in common (and admittedly never bothered to research if Arc does the same thing) is they use rubber in place of the standard spring lock which means you never hear it clicking when you put it together. The rubber is supposed to create friction/act as a dampener to prevent Bahamut from fully opening and it works for the most part which is a good and bad thing and I'll explain why.

First there's Dread from GT. As mentioned it spins left and if you manually unlock the Bey you'll see it form a near perfect circle. This Bahamut in particular has a secondary gimmick, an anti burst lock. Basically the theory is if Bahamut's 'wings' are out and if you hit one of them a certain way the 'wings' will close back down and revert it back to its original state like it was just launched. Here's the problem with that, and it extends to both Roar as well, the overall weight of the Beyblade. Dread Bahamut is too light and has poor stamina in stock form so it gets tossed around easily and dies fast. Meanwhile Roar is too heavy and stable in stock so practically NOTHING causes its gimmick to trigger. I've owned these beys for years and can count how many times I've seen the gimmick activate in real battles on one hand.. or less. Pic are my Bahamut.

What exactly can you do when the only difference between the beyblades is their overall shape? Only reason Metal Fight is considered so memorable despite how homogenized the designs were was the fact it was the first series for a lot of the previous generation when they were kids. What made the OG series so fun WAS the fact there is only one Dragoon, Dranzer, Draciel, Driger and their personalities were all over the beyblade from top to bottom. Same thing with Burst, despite the fact some of the beyblades did use similar parts time and again, they never felt generic or that they could easily be replaced with something else. Everything came together to make each beyblade unique and represent the avatar they're meant to represent. What about Shark Scale says anything about its naming scheme? The fact it has spikey blades? Hell the plastic chip in the middle can be replaced and called something else at Hasbro and TT's own discretion. Just call it Croc Tail or some shit since they already did that with Shark Edge and Croc Bite.

Where Burst faltered is that they forgot the 'Burst' part because they kept adding more and more weight to the Beyblades on top of the DB stadium being dog shit and allowing for stallouts almost all the time. But even then seeing the beyblades have so many moving parts and how they interacted with one another was part of the fun. X can still be fun as well, but for me it comes from leaving everything in stock form and playing random roulette to see what'll happen. Following a 'meta' will always cause competition to get stale, and unlike something like a fighting game where they can release balance patches to even things out, toy lines like Beyblade dont' have that luxury so the good parts will always stay good until something MORE broken takes its place while the shit will remain shit.
>>
>>11703478
>What made the OG series so fun WAS the fact there is only one Dragoon, Dranzer, Draciel, Driger and their personalities were all over the beyblade from top to bottom.
Right, because there aren't half a dozen plastic Gen dragoons.
>since they already did that with Shark Edge and Croc Bite.
They share the same silhouette, but the detailing was completely changed, it's not just changing the sticker
>seeing the beyblades have so many moving parts and how they interacted with one another was part of the fun. X can still be fun as well, but for me it comes from leaving everything in stock form and playing random roulette to see what'll happen.
The fun of X is finding synergies between parts to make strong beys. Finding meta breaker combos is a joy.
>unlike something like a fighting game where they can release balance patches to even things out, toy lines like Beyblade dont' have that luxury
They've buffed Phoenix wing twice, but also new parts can make old ones more viable, not that you'd know if you just throw stock combos at each other.

>Only reason Metal Fight is considered so memorable
is the freakishly epic anime where they literally did everything they wanted to.
I miss the times when Bladers were allowed to battle outside of stadiums. On the rocks, walls, literally everywhere.
I don't know why it changed with Burst.

I mean hasn't it always been?

Semi-OT B-Daman time, remember when we got a teaser for König Cerberus? Since Fighting Phoenix looks so good and sturdy compared to the original, I pray they give Wild Wyvern his One-Hand Magazine from the Sniper Special to complete the look of a fully-equipped OS B-Daman, matching Ganma's style as customization expert.

I've been watching Metal Fight for the first time recently and it's blown me away with how much I enjoyed it. I expected it to be all nostalgia when my zoomer friends recommended it to me. Season 1 was really exciting and I liked the adventure aspect of Season 3. I wasn't too keen on the season 2 since it was more of the tried and true tournament formula and it also let me down by not having enough of one of my favorite characters, Kyoya. But as soon as Damien shows up it got about as good as season 1 and I think the finale arc with spiral energy is even better than Metal Fusion's finale so it definitely picked things up at the 11th hour.

Will be watching Burst soon and I have no idea what to expect but hopefully it will be as fun as Metal Gight has been.

Bakuten Shoot did that, first.

>I don't know why it changed with Burst.
Because seeing the characters actually develop strategies and think about how to approach a battle while playing to their bey's strengths is more interesting than the boy who beats everyone with an attack type that never slows down just because its owner tells it not to. Metal Fight was heavy on fantasy, but it was boring seeing Gingka win everything despite being at a disadvantage 75% of the time just because he tells Pegasus to 'keep spinning'.
>oh no Pegasus is wobbling
>oh shit Pegasus magically sped up despite having a tip MADE OF RUBBER

I'm not saying the anime has to be realistic because X leans too heavy into that but at least let the type advantages and disadvantages mean something. Burst was more fun to watch because the main characters were actually allowed to lose and had to constantly up their game to keep up.

NTA, not to that extent.
Moses/Crusher having a bazooka launcher was an anomaly. In MFB half the antagonists use a launcher inspired on a weapon.

This is the canon believe.
>>
>>11705582
Yes it did. In Bakuten Shoot they frequently battled outside stadiums. And when they battled in stadiums they often had crazy gimmicks. Every important character had unique, custom launchers. Giancarlo/Enrique had a sword and shield launcher. Borg/Demolition Boys all had gun launchers. Many characters had cannon-like gauntlets that fired beyblades. The protagonists even got real guns fired at them in the second season by Team Psykick. Brooklyn had a bow launcher, etc. etc. Not knocking MFB but you gotta give respect to the original as it thought of and did 99% of things seen in later generations.

Gingka doesn't have a 100% winrate in any of his seasons. He has some obvious MC Plot Shield but they were fine in letting him lose (or tie) to hype up others.
Yu destroyed him and Kyoya at once back in S1 for example.

Bakuten Shoot had some of the best bey battles because the stadiums were all over the place. They could be standard, have mini rainforests, the fucking white house. I'll always remember Jose from Team Mexico during the American tournament because he had a goddamn revolver for a launcher and even fired it like one while launching. I was so sad when the successive generations mostly stuck with standard launchers, but I do give Burst at least some credit for giving characters their own launching styles.

I think it's just to denote a new class of each system. The three new CX Expanded have it, and I guess Dran Strike and Griffon Bullet both have it because of their "expanded" gimmicks. Dran has a metal gear chip made into its blade, and Griffon is a blade-ratchet combination.

According to the PR info Nizuma got from Hasbro, he said in his video that it has a belt clip, winder storage slot, and compartments to hold extra parts. I don't expect a full 3o3 deck box from it, but this is pretty much the first accessory we've gotten this gen. It's a start.

this thing is easily one of the cleanest and sickest beys in all of X so far, and possibly the franchise as a whole imo, but man I just can't help but feel... disappointed, I guess? not in the design, but the fact that it's supposed to be bahamut. I especially hated burst so I really can't explain why this is somehow making me feel "defensive" of all things but why isn't it a proper homage? why isn't it left spin, or a defense type, or using its perfect circle gimmick? idk i just feel like if i grew up with burst as a kid and actually liked the bahamut line i'd be pissed. like, imagine if a year or two from now we get a sagittario homage out of nowhere, but it's a left spin balance type focused around shifting the weight distribution. I think that would be insanely super fucking lame. every other homage so far at least shows a base minimum attempt to faithfully translate the design to X (perseus wasn't dual spin yet the shape and design at least were still there), yet this outlier being a thing makes me fearful that future "homages" will be similarly unfaithful for seemingly no reason. I just can't understand why.

>find two Wizard Rod 1-60 R
I remember this place saying how hard this was to find and here I am stumbling upon two. Wizard Rod and 1-60 are parts I already own, but never a Rush bit. Always told myself I'd buy the Dran Dagger deck set and it just never happened so hey I finally get a Rush. Was going to get both of them, but I settling on getting Rock Golem since I didn't have one and a replacement Silver Wolf. Maybe I'll get lucky and that other Wizard Rod will be there in a couple weeks.
>>

Green Rods and Golems used to be really rare in my area, too. Now my local Target has multiples of each. Also got the Extreme Deck Set there last month for $25, was nice to finally get my hands on a Knight Mail!

Well I gotta return the Wizard Rod and Silver Wolf because they were missing both their rachet and bits. The boxes were sealed on all angles but given how those particular parts are usually loose in Hasbro boxes it wouldn't surprise me that someone could finagle them to the hole where the blade is and yank those pieces out. This was a very hardy lesson in package tampering and why I'll likely stick to getting TT beys as I've been doing. May ask to get them exchanged for two other beyblade, there were quite a few more there but also don't want to press my luck too much. At least Rock Golem was complete.

Low and beyond a green Wizard Rod this time with 1-60 and Rush in box! I could barely see the bag sticking so I bit the bullet and made the purchase. Tore the box open slightly to make sure before leaving the store and yep, it's all there. So hey negative into a positive, I finally got a Rush bit.
