What makes people throw toys in the trash containers? I often see some nice stuff like lego in them. Is recycling or trading not popular enough>

how is recycling any different? people should at least give to goodwill
>>

All goodwill does it sell the shit in their store if they think they can make a profit off it. They are scalpers using donated items to sell. I'd rather throw things in the trash than allow a scummy company to profit off items they claim are being donated to the needy.

I understand being too lazy to sell it online, but if you have a local store that you can trade it in, all you have to do is bring it in and they make you an offer. Yeah, it’ll usually be lower but it’s infinitely better than just throwing it away.

Goodwill is scummy (and worse shady online), but they do some actual charitable shit. Most organizations won't take even new (like the actual figure in a BAF wave or the hedgehog from the DC 2pack in their clamshell) because they are "opened." I tried donating them to the fire department that does the annual Christmas toy drive.

People should donate to a local thrift that benefits a school district or church or something else that's in their area.

Yes, Yes
That's exactly what the plastic rotting your brain wants you to believe.
Keep going on and soon your brain will be more plastic than most.

Thanks man, most people don't believe in my dream.

But going to the store still requires more effort than just throwing it away, I'm not saying I do this BTW, I'm just telling you why people do it.

When they get sick of stuff wasting space, and they know they can't sell it to recover what they spent.

Yard sales and flea markets are full of stuff that people are just not buying. Even thrift stores have a hard time moving it, so they tend to bundle it in cheap grab-bags because selling off stuff piece by piece is cumbersome. Face it: 99% of all toys made in the 2000s is a waste of plastic that'll never be worth shit.

This shit's especially true for pop vinyl where it's settling in with the people who bought that stuff that they bought into a fad that was destined to crash.
>>
cuz they are motherfuckers, i hope they die

That's an evil thing to say. You have to accept that a lot of shit is just worthless.
