https://youtu.be/4azApeWqyq8?si=cX2GIYy7_VRJ3M51I saw this cool video and wanted to use it to springboard a discussion about greed and toy collecting. How much is too much?
>>11706943>How much is too much? For pokemon? Anything above 10 dollars. This franchise sucks.
>>11706943G R 11. Go away.
>>11706943Just stop being poor.
>>11707135
>11707139Nobody liked (you)tubers, all you should be segregated to a containment board.
>>11707239Damn bro.thats crazy. Maybe you should watch the video, like it, and leave a comment
>>11706943Lego collectors are such fags. People like this deserve to be beaten with pipes
>>11707781I wish you were named Bannable Media
Dude has disposable income. Let him spend it on whatever makes him happy.
>>11706943>$663 US dollarsThat isn't even really a lot of money. You guys really need to stop being so poor.
>>11707804For a computer or legos?
>>11708096Either.
>>11707804That's half my monthly salary in my country. But for that amount of money I could easily import 10 premium figures from >Japan. How often do you spend that amount at a time?
>>11710519So are you athena.
>>11706943>How much is too much?As much as your wallet allows it, if you have the cash why not buy something you like even if it's slop to others? As long as you have self control and don't blow all your money on plastic it should be fine.
>>11710508Same, I wish I could earn in dollars. 150 is the equivalent of a part-time salary here in my country. So yeah toys worth 100 bucks is already a lot to me.
I do buy large legos because I'm a big boy with my own moneys but these sets do nothing for me so I don't care. The GWP purchase was the best set of this wave. >>11710556just go to a western country on an NGO floatilla and then use gibs to buy Lego. Its not hard.
>>11710508I literally make that amount in like two days. Sorry you live in a shithole country.
>>11710603Yeah. I'm about the same after tax. 6 figure salary and budget about $1,000 a month on figures which gets me pretty much what every I want.Space has always been a bigger issue than cost.
>>11707137>zero trainer (Red) minifigs in the most expensive setI'm just not gonna buy it.
>>11706943Looks like shit desu, Lego tax is unreal
>>11710640Do you consistently find enough figures every month that will amount to $1000? Maybe it's my economically conservative brain due to being poorer, but I can barely find 10 or slightly more import figures such as SHF, Mafex, Revoltech every month which I want.
>>11711104NTA but my monthly fund for toys is lumped into a "fun" bucket, meaning anything I do for fun falls into it. Of course, I'll make exceptions once or twice a year, but usually I stick to the monthly budget I set for myself. I have other hobbies that are more expensive than buying toys, so it's not hard for me to hit my budget.
>>11710603$1300? That's insane. Wtf are you still doing posting here seething over us hobos? Invest a bit of that cash in therapy, freak.
>>11711322Do all you lil bros just live at home with your parents?
>>11713023post your toys then cryptobro
>>11713195>cryptobroIt's called having a big boy job. I work in IT.
Big boy out here getting joymogged by poorfags lmao
>People trying to flex their wealth on a toy board where the average figure costs $25-100Do richfags really?
Any amount is too much you retards. The chemicals used to make these pointless fucking plastics poison the earth, poison us all. Go write, or draw, do anything to get your virgin loser fantasies out other than buy these plastic pieces of junk. I mean seriously, wtf is this board? You are all stuck in your childhood, and yet you argue with each other, like anyone that is here could possibly be superior to anyone else KEK. Grow out of your baby phase and do something unselfish for once in your life
>>11713242Just saying, acting like $663 is a lot of money is silly. It's not.
>>11713366Just admit that you're a little bit upset over some random anon on the internet getting so much more happiness out of $663 than you do.
>>11713376How in the world is that what you think I said?
It's telling that the only defense people can come up with when defending overpriced slop is "poor". No talk of the features, craftsmanship, comparing it to the cheaper alternatives, etc.
So what do we think about unbannable media?
>>11713976your videos suck stop self promoing here faggot
>>11713976His videos are clearly viewbotted. And he's probably a faggot
>>11706943This dude is an absolute fucking retard. He's on LAN and gets all the big sets for free but lacks any creativity when it comes to MOCing. All he does is buy, buy, buy and hoard. He only builds official sets and rebrickable models. This is showcased in his soulless attempt of a City.On top of it, he gives horrible advice to his viewers like seen in this video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y75VDkGJtUoNo you cannot build the Café Corner for $60.
>Adults building Lego>Have infinite fucking patience and keep their cool>Me building Lego (25 years ago)>Get angry and aggressive that i messed something up or cannot locate the right piece
>>11706943 Fucking idiot could have bought all of these as smaller CHEAPER MEGA BLOX builds.
>>11714592>You can't build a cafe corner for $60You can if your Lego horde is so large you already had the majority of the pieces just sitting around in a bin somewhere.
>>11706943I think the problem starts when the hobby turns into lifestyle. When you turn it into indentity and it becomes main/sole escapism. You start to buy and hoard became fomo and seeing every new release as a next resin/plastic/abs hit.The money is an issue only if you lack them or other parts of your life are touched by it.I probably spent around 200-300dol per year on lego in the last 7 years and around ~500dol on other toy stuff each time I visited japan (which was 3 times in the last 9y). 3500dol spent on toys is large amount to some, to others its kind of money that can start your collection. In the end I dont have space to display any more of this shit and I acknowlege it.People that cant are the one that jave a problem.
>>11715498building these sets is piss easy since they all come with numbered bags
>>11706943I understand the joy in building something, but then what? Are you supposed to actually display these ugly looking things in your home or something?
>>11720982This guy mortgaged a commercial building to hold all his legos. If you watch his videos he complains about commuting to go play with his toys.
>>11721036Holy crap, how many toys this guy owns for god's sake?
