What do you guys plan to do with your toys before you die? Whether you don't want kids, are unable to have them, or your own kids don't share your interests, what should you do with them? I love my small collection and plan to enjoy them for the rest of my life until my time comes and when that time finally comes, I want them to make other people happy but don't know how to go about it.
I'm arranging for an elaborate tomb. Most of my stuff is going to be interred with me, like the pharaohs of old. I also will be cataloguing everything in detail for the benefit of future archeologists. The idea is they can preserve the burial relatively undisturbed as a museum space.

The few things we kept we played with until it was done for, so trust me, whatever happens to your collection after you die is irrelevant.

I plan to gather enough toys to have them melted down and have a coffin made. Then I can rot surrounded by the embrace of the plastic that gave me joy in life
I'm not going to project my hobby onto my kid so one day I'll probably sell my things off and use the money to buy something equally useless but easier for my family to get rid of
Real answer, I don't really care.It'll be up to my kids. I would recommend they sell to probably make some good money.I'll be dead though, so they could easily just throw everything away, and I won't be able to do anything. Maybe my ghost can haunt on of the toys? I don't know.
>>11708067If I do end up having kids, maybe I'll make some kind of document with photos of what everything is and a rough estimate at the time of what each item's worth so they can have an easier time selling it all if they choose to. I thought of this because my dad's also a collector and imagining dealing with all his WWII figures, comics, stamps, coins, etc. after he passes is overwhelming. But I could also end up significantly cutting my collection down as I get older and my interest in certain franchises/the hobby itself wanes, which is already kind of happening. Consideration for your family aside, once you're dead, it's someone else's problem.

I won't have kids and I'll be killing myself eventually as I can't seem to heal from various trauma. If I could safely do so I'd donate to people here but it would expose everybody to too much risk and doing, so I'll leave notes for the more expensive and rare ones to be sold by people around me have to deal with my shit,hopefully that'll get them a few thousand.In the meantime I just try to appreciate what I've got

Not only do I find my toys awesome to look at but they're extra special to me because my family and I have bonded over them and they're going to be the only things keeping me sane (at least until I find a woman and/or pet) as I eventually lose my remaining closest loved ones.
