Anyone seen this? A new toyline coming from BasicFun, licensed by Hasbro based on DnD called "Dungeons and Dragons: Questers". This looks dope. They showed a shitload of monsters that you can collect and each figure comes with a classic DnD dice. You can also mix and match them and will be in the cheaper range, I think they will be quite a hit.

>making D&D "kawaii" like Japanese blind-box stuff while hoping it'll compel people into collecting it
NOPE. Make D&D to be D&D again instead of the checkbox-DEI parody it's become.

Last pic, I'm super excited for the monsters, the human characters not so much.

This is a spin offz as a casual they got me hooked

These look pretty cool not gonna lie
>>
>>11714441
Not while WotC/Hasbro own it.
>>
>>11714455
So never lol

Hasbro won't sell WotC, it brings them the most money they make every year, from MtG and DnD and the licensing such as this new toyline. Hasbro would be in bankruptcy by now if they didn't own WotC (MtG+DnD).

>X eye on beholder
Is he dead?
>>
>>11714435
I'd probably rather them not be so cutesy, but these still look like a lot of fun. The adventurers could have been done a lot better, not interested as is. The dragons are interesting, I appreciate the differing appearances.

Too bad there's so little coverage for these smaller companies (except that Dungeon Crawler Carl, I guess cause it had 'collector' figures).

Can any /tg/ guy name all the creatures? I see a mimic, beholder and dragonborn
>>
>>11714459
Knowing beholders, it could just have an x shaped pupil but also it looks like someone just kicked it in the nuts

>Too bad there's so little coverage for these smaller companies
BasicFun is not a small company, we barely get coverage for this type of toys because toy collectors don't give a crap about them. Kinda sad desu because I like this type of stuff. We should get better pictures when smaller youtubers who were there will post them. The big ones will not cover these because they don't care.

Displacer Beast, baby dragons, Owlbear, Gelatinous Cube, Xorn (red one eye with mouth on head), some sort of mechanical owl?, Nothic (one eye and spikes). Not sure what that bipedal thing is, a kobold maybe?

IT'S CLASH OF THE TITANS BUBO! HOLY SHIT

Ya, and neither is Moose, and many others at TF. I guess I should have more said "for these companies not really in the collectors market". Even if I don't buy everything it's still fun to see the various available toys. I was hoping the NYTF thread would have been a place to see all the toys that don't fit into the usual generals.

>>11714493
Might be codes on them, never know.
>>
>>11714500
I hope so, apparrently EU wants to ban blind box toys because they encourage gambling so I hope they put a small window or codes in them.
>>
>>11714513
Is that right? What do they think about TCGs then? Those are gambling and have been the same way for decades, especially recently with the massive increase in chase cards. Not exactly fair if this is just affecting toys, because it's really no different.

Reminds me of Treasure X
>>
>>11714458
Yup.
Jeez, at this point D&D has been a WotC product longer than it was a TSR one.

i want cat/owl/beholder so much

they loo klike those...what's their name. Brawl-something-something characters. Brawl Stars.
i guess they fit their demographic tho... im 40y/o and these are clearly for kids and kids have shit taste assuming to companies

I want better pics of the monsters, got more? Can't find anything on google about these
>>
I like the idea of these but hate the style. Make them a bit more realistic and the whole swapping parts gimmick would actually be really fun and perfect for a D&D toyline.

Yea, the idea is great, it's the execution that falls flat. I'd love me a line of little chibi adventurers who I could swap the gear around to make my own little group of heroes and monsters. In fact, I already collect a line that does exactly that only better in Gashapon Quest. Give me a line in this style...maybe with less articulation since these guys are admittedly VERY fiddly...and I'd be all over it. Especially if it included to scale monsters for the Adventurers to battle.
