In Tacoland I think Outlaw Star was aired on a pay channel so not sure how many people saw it here, but Tenchi Muyo aired in a well known TV channel and it wasn't really popular, I never meet an anime fan who has seen it at the time, I remember seeing the McFarlane figures in a Toyfare magazine before they aired the anime here, it was weird. In my case, I was never able to see it because I was working at the time it was aired, I can see it now with all the stream (an pirate) sites but I lost interest.
