McFarlane Toys is reducing their points of articulation for new articulated figure lines like the NHL line. Your thoughts?

Beyond the horrid headsculpts. No deco on sticks and skates, and no visor really holds these back. Their statues have them. I guess kids wouldn't care about those things.
I see why you're concerned, but relatively speaking these are actually more articulated than most his sports figures.

>>11724192Because re-use is the easiest. Everyone is fully covered, no tattoos or any exposed skin to deal with, everyone looks like they have the same build under all those pads, etc. But holy hell these look cheap. The sculpts look so damn soft and the paints on the faces is horrible.

>>11723903Depends on the overall figure aesthetics. I personally don't like my figures to be too visually chopped-up, and do appreciate it when efforts are made to make a figure look visually clean. Hasbro has made some modest efforts with Classified with concealing those fuck-ugly torso joints underneath vests and jackets, so they're getting what I'm saying. And since I am not a kid playing with stuff in the backyard I don't care about "maximum posability." I don't display my stuff either. So I don't give a shit about how many POA a figure has as long as it's visually clean.The Japanese figures are the worst when it comes to figures that over-articulated to where they're just a visually-chopped-up mess. Every "human" figure looks like a cyborg because of it. They make zero efforts to produce a visually-clean figure. Now if only McTodd would do something about concealing rivets. And even in plastic form Crosby still looks like a fag. They could have done a better job at blending in those ugly shoulder and elbow joints with more detailed jersey texturing and ruffles.

You don't need to delicately pull it out of the blister, boil it in water, and send it to the Dalai Lama and the Pope for a blessing only for a limb to bust off the moment you try moving a joint, then to get told by NECA that it's a collector item so it's your fault for taking it out of the box.

I got one. The articulation was a little better than I expected. The stick and two hockey pucks are super small. I'm probably gonna just get one more. I don't need all of them. Maybe a goalie if they make one.

>>11727095The hips have pretty good range in all directions. The crotch is soft so is the jersey. There's a thigh swivel hidden at the bottom of the shorts. Single jointed knee and then another swivel at the top of the skate. The ankles don't move at all, but that's actually pretty accurate if you've ever had tight hockey skates on.
