Is there a definitive Robocop figure? Always liked the design and want one but no idea what is the best option nowadays.
>>11724886Mafex
>>11724888This, or Hiya, perhaps.
I wanted to say the NECA, with his recharging chair, but NECA went and made his legs swivel diagonally like old Star Trek Playmates figures, forcing him to sit wonky. I'd say getting that set just for the chair though could be good for any other Robocop of that scale from someone else. What's Mafex scale at?
>>11724888Mogged
>>11724888wow that NECA looks like fucking crap garbage. who would buy that garbage?
>>11725043People that actually want a good Robocop figure. But you're too busy trolling to know what that is.
>>11724886Get the NECA Ultimate.
>>11724886The upcoming Hiya one seems to be it. Personally I'd rather just get something geared towards kids but with modern articulation. Lanard could have nailed Robocop if given the chance.
>>11724886hot toys obviouslyif thats too big for you the mafex is good, hiya one may surpass it though, might want to wait for that to see how it is
>>11725049ESTO>>11724888>>11725149Nah.Op should wait for the CT boot.
>>11725048It's "okay", if you're just standing him up.He's not all that compatible-looking to the chair they packaged him with though. On a different note, I wish they'd redesign / rerelease the glowing "NightFighter" Robocop to better mimic the Kenner homage it was meant to. The Kenner one had a cool shield on the forearm, the lower face was flesh, different shoulders... I've tried like crazy to find a toy with that shape of shield, but never succeeded. I might just recast the Kenner shoulders / forearms completely, then use mineral spirit tricks to enlarge them until they're the right scale.
rule of thumb: if there’s a mafex of something and the question is, “what is the best ___ figure”, the answer is always the mafex
>>11725303This is just wrong
>>11725054Their predators and xenos were solid at $10. I miss lanard toys.
>>11724886>Is there a definitive Robocop figure?Yes there is.
>>11724905How does the Mafex fit in the Neca chair? Is it too big or is it close enough?
OP here, thank you guys for the suggestion. The mafex looks quite nice but unfortunately I was hoping to get the RC1 version specifically and prices for it seem to be at about $150, does he get reprinted ever? The hiya seems to be the most practical option but I have no experience with this brand, anything to note regarding their quality?
>>11725578he got reissued and they painted him purple.
>>11724886Mafex>>11724893>>11725054>>117251491/18 one, yup, the 1/12 one, nope. The proportions are cartoony as fuck>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttyFgDhmOYQ
>>11724888Neca, please. Emil was the one melting in the movie, not Robertcop, get it right.
the Hiya 2 one looks pretty good and definitive
>>11725425Genuinely some of the best toys ever made for each respective franchise. I cant believe how time has flown since then. The most they have on offer nowadays are off brand godzillas and kongs.
>>11725917can you imagine how sick they'd handle actual godzillas and kongs
>>11725917You…think these are good?
>>11725932Well they did have Kong and Rampage for a split second, and they did wonderful things with them.>>11725934Yeah.(you) might not get it, but sometimes a simplified articulation scheme makes a toy both more durable and easier to handle.
not the Figma
>>11725934Nta but they are great for what they are, toys. Not everything has to be for the collector market.
>>11726041Only disappointment is that the company didn't go all out and make bizarre Xeno variants a la Kenner.
>>11725959>articulationThey look like dollar store trash.
>>11726101Their only failing was releasing their xenos too early. Had they waited a bit and released them alongside the newer films like prey and romulus they mighthave had a better shot.
>>11726199Well let's see your xenos.
>>11726199>>11725934they're cheap kids toys, they look perfectly fine for what they are, the kenner alien figures weren't exactly any fancier
>>11726199roasted nuts always makes me laugh
