>Go to the store with my 2 year old son to buy him a toy as a treat>See some 40 year old neckbeard buying up all the same toys he wantsYou fags are why I have to pay 10 times the production price and why my son can't ever find anything cool to own aren't you?
>>11731440Kek git gud pleb
>>11731440get a load of this fucking retard can’t even buy a trike for his toddler because anon bought it for his baby toy collection
>>11731440That was a scalper. You should have followed him and challenged him to fisticuffs. Scalpers drop good loot when their health is reduced to zero.
>>11731440Your son will never appreciate it at the level I do.
>>11731440Bro, you got punked out in front of your kid? Yeah that lil fella ain't ever gonna respect yo punk ass no more Frft og Op a faggot bitch
>>11731440Whatever man. Collecting toys is one of the last bastions of joy I get anymore. Don't like it? Tough titties.
You fucking dinosaurs know you can buy toys online right?
>>11731478They also have shitty stats
>>11731440>Mommy. Mommy, your grandson was embarrassed because I am poor, Mommy.>Do something, Mommy!
>>11731440...why are you buying a 2 year old adult collectibles? They're actually pretty dangerous to smaller children with the small parts and potentially sharp edges.Stop buying your kid stuff you like and buy them stuff they like. Pre-schoolers get some neat stuff these days, my kid has an entire town set up from all the Bluey, Paw Patrol, Little People and Team Spidey playsets she's gotten. And they're all vaguely the same size so the figures all cross over well with each other. Also, don't gotta worry about scalpers. Buy your kid actual kid toys and stop forcing your hobby on em.
>>11731651>Hot Wheels are collectors items not intended for children
>>11731440You can just take stuff out of a scalper’s cart, they won’t chase you to try and get it back as it leaves their hoard undefended and it’s only etiquette stopping you, not the law as he hasn’t paid yet.
>>11731440Your son is a faggot
>>11731440Man those scalpers and buying up toddler toys. Next time you invent a story make it a little more believable dumbass
Not gonna lie, I don't care about the toys, I got them all to piss whiny bitches like OP, then over time I just sell it online.SO, my pleasure ;)
You can just take stuff out of their cart. What timmy gon do
>>11731773>buying hotwheels for a 2 year old
>>11732247Not all two year olds are stupid niglets that eat cars anon.
>>11731440dogshit anon, you just aren't man enough to wake up early and grind to get the toys your kid deserves, shame on you
>>11732284>honestly buddy can you really call yourself a badass kicking names and taking ass when you can't even chunker around?
>>11732325rat
Just bend the packaging
>>11731773........Hot Wheels is THE Collector Item toyline. They've been the main focus of scalpers for decades. And Mattel very much leans into that, doing rare variants, limited exclusives and freaking Treasure Hunt series. When people think of neckbeard scalpers, Hot Wheels is the line they are buying. Your kid isn't gonna care if they get Mailed It or Fish'd and Chip'd, they just want a cool little car they can roll around the walls and then jam into the toaster the microsecond you're not paying attention. For kids, there are a thousand cheaper, better toy cars out there to buy that will make them just as happy.
>>11731440You're to afraid to take one of the toys from the 40 year old neckbeard? Basedfed and weak. Your son should be ashamed of you. Daddy goes on a mongolian basket weaving website to cry to strangers how he couldn't get his son the new smartbrick set. I'm genuinely glad this shit is fake and gay.
>>11732243I was gonna say, why don't you just grab one form his cart?
>>11732382Also this. Bend the cardboard. Scalpers know they can't sell it like that unless they want less profit.
>>11732268Hope your 2 year old doesn't choke on those words.
>>11732382>Just bend the packaging>>11732720>Bend the cardboard. Scalpers know they can't sell it like that unless they want less profit.More people need to be doing this, especially now that ebaying shit has become so popular. All hard to get and popular figures should have their corners bent or/and the plastic bubble pushed in. It's so easy to do no one will even notice you doing it. You don't need to mangle it. You just need one hand to clumsily bend an edge or be a little too forceful when grabbing it by the bubble.
>>11731478But then you get bad karma points and end up spawning more powerful beings
>>11731498Not with scalper bots buying anything rare or important out in a few minutes
>>11733310>thread about buying toys for a 2 year old>complains about needing rare and important figures.

>>11732733>>11732268>>11732247There's actual research and history behind certain guidelines. But - oh yeah - parents can now let their kids die from messles or end up with polio paralysis because they're the true experts.
speaking as a retailfag the only truly obnoxious "adult collectors" (manchildren) are the pokemon tcg scalpers and the hotwheels dads. everyone else is pretty chillspeaking as a manchild myself I generally try not to bother anybody and even outright avoid the aisles when they're busy with actual children. if I really wanted that lego set or action figure and wasn't just window shopping while I'm out getting groceries, I would have bought it online.
>>11735149Also the biggest thieves, which is why Pokemon cards are now locked behind glass in my stores. Not the Hotwheels though, I guess they're cheap enough that nobody cares that maniacs steal them.
>>11735149Hot Wheel collector scum come in all shapes and sizes too. I remember when I was at TRU we had trailer trash that reeked of cigarettes that would come in for Treasure Hunts, but we also had rich ass slick haired, suit wearing business assholes come in for them.
>>11731651This unironically is the business model of toys like LOL dolls or OMG dolls (there are probably other brands that do this that I'm not aware of).Parents go into a store to buy a toy for their kid. They see LOL/OMG displayed prominently. They think to themselves "these must be really popular". They pick one up and think to themselves "I would have loved to have something like this as a kid".Then they think "I know! I will buy this one for my kid, they'll love it!"At no point have I ever seen a child play with a LOL/OMG doll.
