So, as a lot of you noticed, posting has slowed down a lot here recently. Some of the reasons are obvious.>The near two week crash some never came back from>Threads auto saging in 2 weeks killing slower generals>Shitposters everywhere>Trolls stalking and harassing people who post their toys>Rising prices and tariffsBut I don't think most, including me, realized how bad it's gotten. 4stats.io just recently fixed the posts per day charts and we've been averaging 768 posts for the last four weeks. That's about half as many average posts from 2025 and nearly a third of the posts from 2024. Now that I look, there are threads from over a month ago on page 10!
>>11736904I blame the jannies for letting this happen.
>>11736904The two wéek autosage needs to be adjusted. The janitors just need to do their jobs when we have 5 LEGO related threads or the same two IPs are making threads.
>>11736904Unfortunately its gonna keep getting worse, I wonder how low they'll let traffic get before just nuking the board. It will be comforting to know the shitposters can't keep up their same behavior elsewhere at least.
I think over the past 2 years, toy posts have gained more popularity on instagram and tiktok so people may choose to share stuff there instead. I like textposting, so here I will stay (forever).
>>11736905We don't have jannies. That's the problem.
This is Alpha:Tron ,Light Freighter ,Cosmic Voyager out of the Solomons.Registration number Lima-Lima-niner-2-8. Calling Gliese traffic control. Do you read me? Over.
>>11736904Compare the decline with other boards. This isn't just a problem exclusive to /toy/
>>11736904Well the board is infested with trolls
>>11736950It's not jannies. Either it's someone using multiple IPs to report you multiple times or it's multiple anons finding you annoying enough to all report you. It's automated. No janny input whatsoever.
>>11736937Didn't Instagram basically kill the ability for new accounts to grow when they bricked hashtags, though? I remember when you used to see the recent posts when you searched. Now it's just what's already popular.>>11736955Fair point. Looks like a lot of the smaller boards are in their death throes. Kind of funny seeing the insane drop off on /lit/. Guess that's why they're constantly talking about the same 50 books and making topics about women that belong on /adv/.
>>11736904I've noticed this website dies at night now, that didn't used to be the case. Around 8-9pm, posting starts slowing down.
>>11736917There are far slower boards than /toy/ that they let stay up. They won't nuke the place, just let it bleed users.
Posting is such a pain now. Captcha is getting more and more retarded. If I don't post for a while for some reason I have to reverify my email and do an even more annoying captcha. Most of the times I just decide to not post at all because of the annoying hurdles. Autosaging kills all the slow comfy threads that are not about the newest, hottest consoomer thing. I tried to post couple times over the last month into the toyline I collect, but it is just circular discussion over and over again. There used to be a time where I can get helpful review of certain figures, history of toyline, overview of pros and cons of certain figures over others, customs and gunpla general were truly helpful. RIP all those. The only real board culture we have left is the coomer general, where people come together to post lewd figures in funny situation that might not be socially acceptable in other toy forum.
>>11737176>Verifying your emailLmao wat? Also the new captcha is so fuckin easy once you've posted enough to get the easy captcha. Hell, half the time I don't even need to enter one. I swear I don't know why people are complaining about the captcha when it looks like picrel. And yes it looks like this on my desktop too.
>>11737183For some reason my area/IP got range banned. Just a regular Xfinity internet in an apartment complex. So I have to verify email and solve retarded captcha after a certain amount of time, then do the 300s wait and solve another retarded captcha. After these hurdles then the captcha is easy, but it is too annoying to jump through the first two hurdles
>>11736904I'm not going to bother going to the graphs to see for myself, but is there any chan where this isn't the case? Like the internet is increasingly becoming dead. Most of the shit is bots. People age out of sites like this, and all the young people(which there arn't a lot of) just get scooped up by only the most mainstream/normie sites. Messageboards in general were entirely killed by things like Reddit, and im surprised 4chan is still as active as it is.
Ok so >>11736955 confirms it. Yeah i expected this to be the case everywhere.
>>11737183Yeah, i get nothing but easy stuff when posting in a thread, but making a thread gets more complicated captchas. None of them are even medium difficulty.Still, i understand why people hate captchas. Despite being easier than "click on every square that contains the street sign" it's still annoying to do.Getting a 4chan pass is best option, but not everyone wants to pay and a lot of people on 4chan are anti-registration too.I'd like to remind everyone that a lot of people probably lost their ability to post due to using outdated browsers and computers. Last year /g/ had a huge spike in threads about that and if it was even fixable.personally, i was still able to post for a while on an old browser but eventually it stopped working, but i did a lot of extra shit to get it work again without updating. who knows how many people couldn't/didn't/can't.Also, some sites (including 4chan's homepage) aren't even browsable, while shit like youtube, x, twitch, etc still work on outdated shit. So those communities can still grow.
>>11737194It's a false positive IP range ban. It has something to do with the cookies on your browser. You need to post enough times for the site to recognize your browser fingerprint and allow you to post. Switching to mobile data seems to allow you to post to circumvent the range ban and get enough good boy points on your browser to post normally.
>>11737201If you are using a browser so out of date it can't render the front page of 4chan, you probably have at least twenty rootkits and crypto miners on your PC. Good luck with that Subby.
>>11736955>less reading>less spending>less leaving the house>less speakingit's over...
>>11737205>not understanding how technology worksmost of the internet works just fine on smartphone, so you would able to use ancient computers from the late 90s if the software/OS allowed it, especially sites like 4chan.The internet didn't suddenly require Marvel CGI rendering power. It was simply outdated verification and things like Cloudflare refused load on a monday afternoon.Like i said, shit like youtube and twitch still worked despite actually requiring way more ram and processing power than 4chan, because they don't require verification like that and their certs won't expire for a while either.I fixed it... mostly. There's a few bits and pieces i didn't brother to adjust, because it's marketing shit anyway, and noscript makes those go away.
>>11737215You're forgetting very important security fixes that browsers apply. You're basically fucking a hooker without a condom. More power to ya, but stop letting india use your PC for crypto mining. And uninstall that keylogger.
Enjoy the ride while it lasts! Plenty of time for tears and rest in the grave.
>>11737314the funny thing is that we're basically just entering 2008-2009 territory and that's fine.Unfortunately, the Generals makes the board seem smaller, because the fanboys are all locked into their specific topics now and the time limit means other topics can't grow like they used to.>>11737307you sound like a person who gets all his knowledge from grandma and likes to tell everyone to put their sealbelt on everytime you go inside the car.
>>11737314You're not going to make this a meme Millhouse
>>11737318>It's cool bro, I just use the Internet with a browser that hasn't had security updates in a decade. >What could go wrongYou're the kind of guy who buys Norton Anti Virus aren't you?
Didn't the big leak show that /toy/ only has ONE janny?
>>11737152>Didn't Instagram basically kill the ability for new accounts to grow when they bricked hashtags, though? I remember when you used to see the recent posts when you searched. Now it's just what's already popular.why would they even do thatthat's like the dumbest shit i've ever heard
>>11737318They weren't here when you could check in once a MONTH on toy and miss nothing or have threads last months without autosage. Maybe they might even start posting their toys on a toy board some day? Kek.
>>11736904>Shitposters everywhere>Trolls stalking and harassing people who post their toysThe big ones, imo. Both affecting lots of blue boards, unfortunately.
>>11737494How can you stalk and harass people off just their toy photos posted here? Max they can do is reply to you with bs, like that guy with the neca (?) street diorama who would get irrelevant seethe sent his way any time he posted figures using the diorama as a backdrop. Is there anything more they can do?I posted some pics over the last week and I am banned on my phone lmao. Had to post this off wifi. Complete fags ruining the board
>>11737508It's more like a troll will spam about someone they think posts regularly on other platforms even going far as to post account handles. Then you look at the account on the other platform and it has been dead for years.
>>11737514Mental illness abounds. I have no idea why I'm banned, I've stayed out of the slap fights in the generals, just posting OC.
>>11736904over-lay internet engagement for actual humans and i suspect it's the same story, it's all toxic, you're being spied on, your data is sold, web 2.0 is all about making money instead of being creative. every dog has it's day anon and creatives that drove the internet boom have moved on and left it to a bunch of bullied, lazy, depressed, angry, briefly innocent, money grabbing, propaganda peddling bottom dwellers. tldr touch grass
>>11737516If it's mobile it's possible you picked up someone else's ban by grabbing their IP. Used to happen to me pretty regularly on my phone at my old house. Someone who lived near me would constantly get bans on /vp/, a board I never go to ever. Just turn on airplane mode for a second or two to get a new IP.
autosage for BST really sucks.
>>11737500Sounds like you're blaming others for problems YOU cause.
>>11737324I've got no idea. Happened a few years ago. It used to be a great place to browse toy photos since you'd just search a hashtag and there'd be new stuff every day. Now they have popular posts lingering for months, if not years. Searching without tags isn't much better and quickly starts repeating posts you just saw.
Whenever I try to phonepost I keep getting>Posting from your IP range has been blocked due to abuse.even when I'm my own wifi (which works just fine on desktop)
>>11737646Switch to mobile, that will let you post again until you get enough good boiy point cookies.
I miss Retroblaster
>>11737508>How can you stalk and harass people off just their toy photos posted here?It happened with someone that posts in the import threads. Some schizo recognised someone's background in photos they posted on Reddit and downloaded their pics to pretend to be them here while acting like an asshole, and schizing out at them whenever they actually posted. The same schizo would also demand people post pics to prove they own toys and then repost them pretending to be that anon. Whenever someone demands that you post pics to prove you are a real fan or whatever, they almost always do it to try to stalk you, impersonate you, or shitpost about you in the future.
>>11737788This 110% happens in multiple threads on here. This board is insane.
>>11737788Can confirm. Our most notorious schizo, Subjectanon, will repost people's toy photos as attempts at "gotchas" in his thread-derailment campaigns ("Look at this normal photo of a toy I don't like! I win!") usually whilst accusing the photographer of being from the "third world". He's done it over and over again- he regularly spams one of my photos, often in the G.I. Joe thread whilst screaming about JoyToy and accusing random anons of being me. Bear in mind I posted this pic one single time and am just another /toy/ soldier with no interest in becoming some kind of e-celeb, yet he's decided I'm some kind of boogeyman and will now accuse anons of being me.And he's just ONE of the many trolls we have.
>>11736904I'm new here, like in the last 6 months. The auto-sage is gay but this board is still way better than others.Even the autismo trolls are at least on topic, you should be thankful. And they mainly bother long term regulars not new anons.
>>11737802And you can't help yourself but to keep bringing up stuff like this to keep your insane grudge match going.
I'll add the captcha has become insufferable, I'm sure that isn't helping. Having to do three fucking annoying puzzles everytime you want to post will eventually take its toll on fatigue.
>>11737788Yup, I'm the anon with the NECA street diorama that >>11737508 mentioned, and some guy legit tried doxxing me once because I didn't share the same opinions on little plastic Marvel action figures that he did. It didn't stop me from posting because I'm not a bitch, but still, some of the shit that the mentally ill people on this board will do is absolutely fucking crazy.
>>11737812How little do you guys post that your browser hasn't been fingerprinted yet to the point you get the easy captcha or no captcha at all? Pic related, I got it after making a handful of posts across like two days.
>>11737820For me on either the PC or phone, that only lasts for a couple of minutes at a time after I have made a post.
I'm always reminded of that one guy that would post gore and pictures of his own shit in a toilet bowl in an attempt to derail threads he didn't like.
>>11737807You haven't been here long enough to know how good it was even a few years ago. There was a lot more toyposting and less meltdowns. People used to be comfortable enough to post their faces in here, even women. It wasn't until 2023 when Glorp began his rampage, the IP counter was removed making samefagging easier, slower generals were killed by the autosage, brandwarring became commonplace, and so on.>>11737812The choosing the shape of three that's not like the others twice is easier than the letters used to be at times imo. The one for making a new thread where you have to find a shape in FIVE groups of near-identical shapes THREE times is fucking bullshit, though.
>>11737812I miss choose stop signs and school buses and bikes. Sigh.
>>11737820You know very well that's not status quo for every post, just for some. And frankly, if you want Hiro Moot and his collection of virginal Mongolion Bridal Maidens-in-Waiting to have the ability to track you that badly, why not just sign up for a trip code? HiroMoot will definitely notice you then and pay you a compliment once in a while, even!
>>11737802>known shitposter is angry he outted himself as a third worlder and doesn't have enough money to buy anymore toys to prove he's not samefagthis is how you fight trolls. For anyone else who doesn't want to be stalked, you just need to use black backgrounds or take pictures in front of your monitor so that background is just the screen. being nondescript is easy. Even something as common as a electrical socket keeps your anonymous, because everyone has one and most walls are white. .. unless you're a third worlder, who was pretending to be knowledgable about something that didn't come out in their country
>>11737921Yeah the alternative is picking a single shape out of three a single time. And it's like triangles vs rectangles. Super easy. The only time I get the hard captcha is when making a new thread.
>>11738012Goddamn dude, like actual clockwork.
>>11738012Congratulations on proving my point I guess.
>>11737807Im a new fag too and I installed 4chanX to filter Subject anon and the SHF schizo. Also I want to post picture of my toys but I do shit picture with shit lightning
>>11736904I let a general die because I got too lazy. The pervious anon making the threads went mia a awhile back and I tried to replace them but gave up. The shitposting schizos are annoying but I could ignore them just fine. It's the two week autosage that made it so tedious to maintain a thread that people weren't even really using anymore thay I just stopped.
>>11738125Mafex?
>>11738125We even used to have Lego threads up for weeks at a time. I once complained about not getting a part in a thread, did the customer service replacement, waited 5 weeks for the replacement to arrive, and posted results in the same Lego thread. Now it’s every 72 hours and a new thread and all discussion is lost in the twaddle.
>>11736904The toy prices will keep increasing until morale improves.
>>11738209i think this is part of what is making the board so shit. Some of the lower IQ anons can't afford to buy toys anymore, so they either start venting their anger at the companies or other users, or because they're so used to coming here and have nowhere else to go, they're just looking for attention.Nevermind the people who simply stop coming here because they no longer buy toys, so there's fewer people to talk with who are still interested in toys.
>>11738218I feel like Covid really gave us an artificial bump in collectors that we wouldn't have normally seen. You had all these people stuck at home with nothing to do other than buy shit online, and a couple of stimulus checks that gave people a bunch of free money they normally wouldn't have. So you had a bunch of newfags enter the hobby only because they were bored and had extra income, but then they all drop out as soon as the world opened back up and they could do all their normie things again.
We also need to enforce AI ban. "U knoe" has turned into AI image generation slop, and these are kind of bad in some threads/lines like GI Joe. Way back when people managed to enforce sitewide rule of not posting mlp ponies outside /mlp/. Anyway, the fix is clear. 1. Turn off autosage so niche threads like skeleton, dinosaurs, and other non-major toyline can survive.2. Enforce ban on AI slop3. Pin BST and moderate BST better
>>11738240None of these will happen. The likeliest would be getting them to remove the autosage rule. We know why the created it, I wonder if we could appeal to the mods to remove it or something.
>>11736904Good. Pre-covid I felt like there were only 2-3 other collectors in my area. I knew they were out there but never saw them. Post covid with all the free monies and free time, the number of trendy collectors increased. I used to stroll into a packed ROSS and grab all the marked down figures. Now it's ransacked by this social media shit heads trying to post their finds. Now that inflation is staying up and prices are still rising, hopefully all these influx of normies will stop collecting and focus on their family and kids. Already seeing tweets of these folks offloading their "boxed" collection. They don't even bother opening their shit.
>>11738259The scamdemic fucked with peoples heads now everyone is obsessed with buying and scalping and reselling
>>11738248It's weird. I was noticing on the tail end of a /ctg/ thread a namefag started spamming AI images. The namefag went on to ruin two more /ctg/ threads. Then the namefag made a /ctg/ thread and ultimately contained themselves while the "real" /ctg/ thread simply added a rule to the OP disallowing AI images. Never saw the AI spamming namefag again after that. So was the accidental containment thread the thing that worked or the new OP rule?
How y'all gonna fix this? Surely more bitching and tears will bring the former fun toy posting community back! Never change.

>>11738756I just want to remind anons about the threadwatcher in 4chanX. helps a bunch even on boards that don't have the auto-sage.
>>11738285Neither it was coincidence. That guy is onenof the main trolls and he just got bored with that particular trolling and went and did more in other threads. Strangely its been pretty quiet from him. So he's either bidding his time or a kore delightful thought is that something bad happened to him. I really hope its something bad happen to him like he was torn to shreds by rabid beavers or something

Toy community moved to Tik Tok and Reddit
Goddamn, just look at the Marvel thread if you want an example why the user base here is so shit. A couple of anons we're actually posting their toys and having friendly discussion about them. It was pleasant. Then some schizo comes stomping in, accusing everyone who posts their toys of being some boogieman, and then goes on some tirade where he argues and replies to himself for two hours. It's no wonder no one actually posts their own OC anymore. Why would you when some jealous sped from a South American country is going to sperg out about you for hours.
>>11738835It's pretty sad. I don’t know about tiktok but I am on instagram to share photos but it doesn’t feel like a community where you can engage with others. Most comments are just emojis or gifs or "peak". I guess reddit is a little more discussion oriented but everyone there is really stupid and annoying so pick your poison I guess.>>11738285How would adding a rule to the OP stop anything if OP isn’t a janny?

Super oldfag here. The Captchas are what's killing 4chan for me. I don't have anything worth posting that is worth dealing with this ridiculous horseshit over and over.
>>11739050I swear anyone who gets filtered by the captcha is either the laziest piece of shit imaginable or a fucking retard. Making less than five posts over the course of day or two should allow your browser to start getting the easy captcha or, half the time, pic related. I understand being annoyed with the harder captchas that you get when you make a new thread, but even those are easier than having to type a series of letters that was hardly legible and didn't even work despite typing things in correctly, or worse, the old Google captcha where you have to pick out a stop sign or a bike or something stupid like that. Shit's easier to use than ever, and there are ways around having to post using the captcha if you know what you're doing.
>>11738949And yet you keep up your boogeyman bitching. You are as much of a peoblem as he is.

>>11738230I dont think COVID did much, aside from the influx in coomer toys/users. There used to be a normal amount of new users every season/year and with COVID, there didn't seem to be a spike (on /toy/ at least).Things that were popular stayed popular and no thread got noticeably more popular during COVID. Only the coomer shit got more popular since COVID, but I'm unsure if its General existed before or after COVID.Most other generals didnt experience depopulation until years after COVID ended and their trumpbux only would have lasted one or two months when they were first given out. That's only a year's time frame where there would have been more people entering a hobby and then a suddeny drop in users. The Generals that have died only died after the early auto-saging was put into place and toy companies fucking up hard (Joytoy and Four Horsemen). This also coincided with the economy going to shit 2024+.So the uptick in trolling started happening around this time too, with some of the more noticeable trolls coming from Chinese brand and other import threads. And i say this with confidence, since these trolls were repeating the same dribble in the former populated threads to brand new Generals that they never posted in before. Nevermind some admit to it.Ever since 2024, it's like it's 3pm after the grades schools let it's kids out.

>>11737161>I've noticed this website dies at night now, that didn't used to be the case.A lot of Slavs have died this decade, so you've got to consider that.
>>11737161are you saying that 4chan slows down or this board slows down at night?Because /toy/ used to die during American night times from the day the board was created until 2010 or 2011.the past year or so, it seems like we've regressed back to /toy/ being an American board again, which i find funny, because it seems only America has been hit by economic woes. The rest of 4chan seems still seems to run ony multiple timezones, or at least, the boards i still regularly go to.
>>11740107>only America has been hit by economic woesanon... I'm not sure what news source you're reading but that is very incorrect. Inflation in the US after covid was roughly the same as other major nations, and in some ways America is basically the least affected by it's own tariff/war carnage. The tariff effects tend to just spread as well - if I want to buy a toy from say Super7 I'll end up paying it since it was shipped to US warehouse before globally. Even getting toys that "fell off the truck" from Aliexpress or something they'll just adjust to that price to make a higher margin. And now there's a fucking fuel shortage everyone is panicking about because unlike the US we only have like 30 days of it in the country.
>>11740137>I'm not sure what news source you're reading but that is very incorrectthere's no news source on pointing out the humor, because all the foreigners like making fun of the US and shitting on us for all that shit, but like you said, we're doing better than most everyone else. And no one reports on anyone else.
>>11736904>We're circling the drainHappening in most of boards.I stopped posting because of hostile polfag zoomers. And it's the same thing on EVERY board/thread i used to visit./toy/'s board lego threads are utter garbage now. I won't bother going through all that photo taking and post writing just to end up arguing with zoomer that will make me answer something like "shut the fuck up faggot"...It's the same thing in another board that is very far from /toy/.People in general afraid to post photos of their toys now. They don't want to post big posts etc.etc.Whatever.Internet fucking sucks now.I remember the time when i used to escape here from reality because it was the only place with people like me. Now this place makes me want to escape from it and avoid it.PS:I'm autistic enough to think about this and i think that (MAY BE)1) all those samey hostile zoomer-anons with a bit of a "polfag" personality are all just AI-bots.They are all the same on every board.2) all this stuff is to separate people. To make them less united because in a modern corpo world such nerds united in their underground circles is a bad thingBecause i can't fucking believe that out of the sudden for some reason a lot of shitty hostile people would spend 24/7 searching for every normal post and shitting on it.And i've been on 4chan from 2009... It's not trolls. It's something different.
>>11738967>>11739007another post-coronachungus thing i've noticed on 4chan is the increase in "that guy" posting i.e. recurring schizos who are fixated on one thing, and are easily identifiable from their posts despite never using a tripcode
>>11740175I feel the exact same way as you.
>>11740206Yeah I remember seeing some major serial shitposter even on big boards who just copy and paste the same threads sometimes for 5+ years. Weird shit happened to me too like I made a stupid joke on a youtube comment and for 5 years people were arguing back and forth and replying to it and I had no idea because I had notifications off until one day I turned them on. I saw someone younger say they actually stopped being able to talk during covid. What the fuck did lockdown do to people dear lord. Also remember all those iPad babies are going to start posting soon. If not now.
>>11740206Those could be hallucinating ai bots given how they hyper focus on one subject like specific toy personality or a specific issue a toy line has.
>>11740175>1) all those samey hostile zoomer-anons with a bit of a "polfag" personality are all just AI-bots.They're not AI, but the do either use AI to make their posts for them, either actual AI or a translator of some sort. There's been an influx of third worlders, either shills or just fanboys for their country, who have infested /toy/ for the past 5-6 years now who have made /toy/ worse.>all this stuff is to separate people. To make them less united Nah, it's just normal nationalism and fanboyism. Shit's been going on on /toy/ since Rei Vs Asuka fights and Revoltech Vs Figma from the 00s. But it's become more prevalent thanks to the internet becoming cheap enough for all the poors in third world countriesNew features on places like twitter showing what countries a post is coming makes it pretty clear it's mostly foreigners with a weird understanding of the west are introducing stupid ideas onto western platforms or are just trying to shit the place up.I've been doing the same thing on /toy/ for years now, but it's pretty vague and requires self disclosure. trying to ID some shitposter's non-western vernacular, ignorance of western idioms, or asking them to post their collection next to something that would show where they're posting from, such as electrical outlets. Of course, they try to hide it, by using AI (see pic) or refusing to take photos when they were more open before they realized why i asked.
>>11740302Lmao, you were arguing with me about something and plugged my post into your little AI checked and it came back as being AI despite me actually writing out the whole post myself. I personally don't use AI, that shit is usually wrong anyway. It's just that little checker you use is garbage. I wouldn't rely on it.
>>11740302>>11740305Lmao, I just actually read the sceencap. That is my post lmao.
>>11740305>third worlder who constantly shitposts gets caught denies everythingno shit? And I used that AI checker on myself and like 10 other posts in that thread to see how accurate it was, and only your posts were getting flagged for AI use.And unsurprisingly, your posts there after stopped getting flagged, so you obviously changed the program that helps you make your posts. If you actually want to prove I'm wrong, you should post any toy of your choice with his head upside down touching the left side of an electrical socket.pic is another example of how third worlders use AI for shitposting purposesIt's not a coincidence these posts are attacking competitors of chinese brands.
>>11740353Lmao. You really need to get a new bit subby. Tell me, which sentence in this post was generated by AI?
>>11740353Also, that was my screenshot you saved lol
Reminder that Subjectanon is the reason we never got a sticky.>>11739799>Joytoy and Four HorsemenNeither of those generals are dead; the 4H thread got expanded into a broader fantasy general due to the explosion of fantasy toys that fit well with Mythic Legions (just like the Busou Shinki And Friends general became a broader Mecha Musume general when Frame Arms Girl, Megami Device etc became a thing). The 40K general is slightly slower, but was never mega fast. Also funny how you'll shitpost threads you don't like into oblivion, then when nobody wants to post in them anymore to avoid dealing with your shit you do your victory dance and claim the threads "died" because of the toy makers "fucking up". Not transparent at all.
>>11740412Mythic Legions General exploded after the morons who run the company decided to shit on all their customers who complained about their toys breaking. Two epic threads of angry fans shitting on 4 Horsemen and Mythic Legions, with the bulk of the fanbase ditching the brand. The few survivors were left in a dead General in stunned silent. Since Mythic Legion was now a toxic brand and 4H's reputation was ruined, someone had a great idea of merging multiple fantasy lines together so that Mythic LEgions would be in an active thread. So now a fantasy general exists, that keeps the Mythic name in the title only because a mythic legion fanboy creates it. But the Fantasy General is mainly furfags and coomers posting, because the 100+ posters that used to make up the Mythic Legion General dropped the property 2 years ago, leaving only 5-10 fanboys to discuss it.The Warhammer General regularly had 80 posters every thread and it seems most of that fanbase experienced one too many issues with the Joytoy line and now it's dead. We regularly had 300+ post threads every week and but since 2025, they've gotten halved and for what feels like for the past year, it doesn't even get a hundred posts in a month.Ok, so the WH40k General technically isn't dead, because but it might as well be, bcause maybe a single person there even buys the toys anymore. The Mythic Legion General is definitely dead though. And you can blame me all you want, but the fact is, I've been on /toy/ since the beginning and in all the threads I've gone to, only WH40k and Mythic Legion suffered from catastrophic failure, because the companies who run these toylines fucked over their fans. Also, you'rea fuckign retard for even comparing Mythic Legion to Busou Shinki, considering BS was cancelled/hiatuseseded for a while. Of course they were going to create another general for all the generic shit when the Bs line was gone.
>>11736904You'll notice the downward trend started when they got rid of the IP counter. No one wants to be in a thread that they can't tell if the posters are real people or just advertisers/bots. It primes everyone to just assume the place is 100% fake.
>>11740524Has anyone ever said why that was removed?
I used to create all the mythic legions threads, shit was fun, but it was giga dead between waves.Im glad it turned into the Fantasy general, its more active and the different toy lines fit together anyways.I cant believe that dude is still complaining about4h, like dude, have you even bought a recent figure? they are AMAZING.
>>11740519>sbubby shows up nowOh great, wish you stayed in the pit and rotted like the spoiled meat that you are, genuinely you are the second if not worst poster on this entire board, and are a reason why this thread was made cretin.
Great. Now we have another thread that has devolved into whatever subjectanon has decided to hyper fixate on again. Stop engaging with him.
>>11740524That's not necessarily what the IP counter could track. What's to stop a bot/advertiser/whatever from posting from a new IP in a new thread? Nothing. The IP counter was good for telling if someone was trying to samefag.
>>11740569I just put the right steps on getting rid of his posts in. Sick of his ai generated walls of text.
>>11740569Have you considered not blaming everyone but yourself?
>>11739893Why are there so many low IQ retards who take explaining why something does the thing it does as defending it? I didn't defend anything, anywhere. I merely explained that it isn't as big of a deal if you know what to do. Goddamn, you little faggots are such sensitive babies, you deserve to get filtered by something literal toddlers can do.
>>11740553I'm not complaining about 4H. I'm explaining what happened to the Mythic Legion General and Warhammer General, because some guy thinks that they didn't die.And franky, the WH40k General dying was partially a surprise to me. It just deflated, with all the former posters just disappearing. Like everyday people would post their toys and then every month in 2025, the amount of amount of photos decreased to the point that there's a single guy doing that now every thread. Maybe.Going from 300+ posts to 50 posts is insane for a line that wasn't canceled. The Mythic Legion General dying was a hilarious nuke that 4H themselves created and dropped on their fanboys. Even the biggest fanboys knew 4H should have stayed silent.I really should have watched the entire video that night, because i wonder if it was a true meltdown or they just kept up the bitter rage toward their fans just below the surface the entire time.
>>11740569you can hide conversation threads and all replies with 4chanX.I used to think hiding was gay and didn't solve the underlying issue, but it really is like making people disappear.
>>11736904I enjoy this board a lot, seems active enough to me. Hope everyone is having a good day.
>>11740542Nope. One day it just disappeared.
>>11740665It's clear they want to obfuscate how many people are active on this site on any kind of granular level. They prefer potential advertisers see that the site has 200 thousand some active users but would rather not let advertisers realize that some threads and boards on this site only have like 50 or so active users in them. Looks bad. That and the very active demoralization campaign that comes from our own moderation that actively tries to make this place more miserable.
Jannies being incompetent as usual
>>11736955chans in general have been on the decline for awhile
>>11740175There were and are groups running gay ops here on 4chan. >>treating disengagement as the uppermost objective (our desired ‘impact’)Great tagline, huh?You can see for yourself here https://crestresearch.ac.uk/
>>11740604Somebody needs to set up a filter for your filenames and spread it about
Anyone remember the old /toy/ meet ups back in the day? Just realized that it was about 14-15 years ago, Jesus. Anyways, no way in hell I'd be down to attend one of those considering the state of our board these days. Big shout out to Stig, Kuma, and SKEL. Those dudes were cool as fuck, still remember hanging out. Hope y'all are doing well.
>>11740570There is an upper limit to what they would be willing to do. It's one thing to be able to do it, it's another to add that extra level of work to the thread and the fact they have never addressed why they ditched it is pretty damning that it is about bots and/or advertisers.
>>11740694While I'm sure that's a bonus I doubt that's the reason as lurkers are a thing. What it does fuck up, is when you are trying to prove 4chan is a breeding grounds for [agenda] or they are truly awful people and those threads show say 50IPs out of 400 posts. That was what the fires going up were when they pulled the IP counters in 2024, everyone was noticing the most hateful threads and/or worse communities/fans in threads weren't even making a 100IPs in their threads when these things were 404ing. It made everyone treat this place like it was all fake, and that's when the trend down started up in 2023 because most posters were going "wait a minute you're trying to trick me."
>>11739553>>11739912This. Indians have infested this site and the internet generally. They’re so obvious and post the same shit over and over again.>>11740175It’s either foreigners or, paradoxically, the site is returning to normal after many years of artificial post inflation. There was an astounding influx of tourists and boomers in 2015/16, so many Redditors, etc and others who had nothing to do during covid. Those charts showing the declines perfectly mirror life returning to the norm and people doing other things.
>>11740708>There were and are groups running gay ops here on 4chan.i hope they will turn 20-25 soon and will join an old dying burned out normie horde chasing for rent money.
>>11740786>no way in hell I'd be down to attend one of those considering the state of our board these days. You're liable to get stabbed or have some creepo follow you home now.
>>11740944I'd say that that's ridiculous, but then i realized that there's so many third worlders posting here now and live by different rules. But that's still ridiculous, because those third worlders wouldn't meet up with the rest of us, because they're stuck in their shithole countries. Stalkers/creeps have always existed on /toy/, except back in the day, they only harassed the tripfags. But now that tripfags are gone, they'll harass anyone. And since tripfag/namefags did go to meet ups (publically announcing it to everyone the dates and time due to how threads work) before without any problems, it just shows that creeps/stalkers are just lonely shut ins who don't do shit outside of shitposting.>>11740883it's just shitty foreigners. The site isn't returning to "normal" because this type of shit is too new. There was a passion and interest before from the shitposters, because even they showed they had interest in something. The foreigners today barely have a clue what they're posting about, like they were born in 2015 and/or only got onto the internet in 2020. They sound hobbyless.
>>11738644I wish there were more females here, because women tend to have their own tastes and argue their personal position, unlike a herd of men with a hive mind.
>>11741184Women tend to make things worse overall. They'd be fighting among themselves.
The board got even more dead when this thread went up
>>11741058>The foreigners today barely have a clue what they're posting aboutBc they’re paid. US glowies started paying foreigners to make this site less interesting and usable a long time ago, per cass sunstein’s thoughts on the subject after the financial collapse.
I miss when this board was more interesting too. Guessing most of the actual communicating has gone into discord groups to avoid shitposting.
>>11742012Oops. Didnt even mean to post that pic but may aswell post a clearer one
>>11736904Who would have thought having schizos who's only purpose is to make people not want to use the site running rampant would cause this
>>11742012>>11738835>>11736937It's really just this. Don't know why there's people here blaming Indians for some reason. 4chan in general used to rely on high turnover of young posters. But as social media has grown and instant communication has dominated the cultural zeitgeist, the speed and anonymity of image boards have become obsolete to the modern internet user.Younger people want that recognition and credit to their posts, which is completely at odds with how 4chan operates. Places like Twitter also giving pay-to-play boosted visibility have only encouraged this horribly self-centered posting philosophy too.We are truly the last of our kind bros.
>WE WILL SEE $60 AS THE NEW NORMAL PRICE FOR ACTION FIGURES
>>11742681Why has every company in existence decided that 2026 is the year to go full mask off with their greed?
>>1174272030% of the world's oil comes from the Strait of Hormuz. At this point, even if the war ends in a few weeks, prices will still go up. In addition we still have tarrifs.
>>11742732It started before this gay ass war. But you're not wrong in that this makes it worse.
>>11742720Because someone high up is showing that you can be as greedy as you want and it doesnt matter you can just get away with it
>>11742737If it's any consolation, food prices and cost of living are skyrocketing too.
>>11742751That's why I'm more mad tbqh
>>11742751>>11742752Don’t forget shrinkflation.
>>11742751Prices vary by state and even county dont they?
>>11743113Food prices and the cost of living have skyrocketed across the whole country. For shits and giggles, I looked up how much it cost to rent my first apartment. I paid like $900 something for a 2 bedroom, 2 bath 1200sq ft apartment back in like, I dunno, 2008-2009ish. Now, that exact same apartment costs over $2K to rent. I was floored. I pay less than that on my fucking mortgage. It's absurd. Don't even get me started on how they're trying to price me out of basic fucking groceries. Not even anything fancy. Ground beef, bread, cheese, milk, and some fruit and veggies. Store brand too, not even name brand. I remember back when I was in college, when I was working my first post high school job, my go to meal at any given fast food establishment was $6.50, $7.50 if I added something extra. I don't know how people live in this economy. I have a stable income and a good house, but I couldn't fathom living on the wages I was making in and just out of college, which I know aren't far off from what a lot of people make today. Something's gotta give.
Watch for falling prices. Two more weeks to flatten that curve.
