>>11738909
>>11738905The costume is too unique to work as an armybuilder, but whatever.
>>11738910
>>11738911It's different than any previous troopbuilder. I still like it, though. It has a bit of a "techno-samurai" vibe to it.
>>11738908the t-shirt graphic kills this. why can't it be just the Cobra logo? I'd take a blank shirt, too.is that design from something?not a fan of the tattoos either. I really have no idea who this character is (aside from le Dreadnok) but dang that Swamp Skipper looks cool
>>11738928The dreadmoks aren't technically a part of cobra, and are a separate team of mercenaries-for-hire that Cobra Commander loves to employ. GI Joe could even hire them for the right price.
>>11738938DreadNoks. Derp.
Hasbro didn't do too bad on the Night Viper. It still has those things I don't care for about Hasbro figures, but at least it's an improvement over the last Classified figures I handled. Replacement rifle is a bit closer to true 1:12 than I would have wanted in this situation, but it'll do for now. The paint chipping on the elbows is bullshit, though.
>>11739008It's definitely the gem in the wave. I wouldn't mind seeing it in a different color like all-black or cobra blue. Even a crimson one would look cool.
>>11739045I wouldn't be surprised if they did the red 50th Anniversary version.
>>11738906Real shotzi blackheart on a tank vibes
>>11739084She definitely has a little bit of "tank girl" vibe in her.
>>11739053We are getting an artic Night Viper later this year
>>11739138Yeah, I saw that.
>>11738907>>11738908Oh neat, didn't know it had storage. Now I don't mind how boxy it looks.
>>11739256I think they added stuff like that and the set-in clear lights to differentiate from all the 3D-printed swamp skiers.
I bought a huge fodder lot of mostly heads and DIOS pieces, but it also head a bunch of left over fodder (nothing for you guys, except maybe weapons but I'm keeping most of that). I also have about 2 of the Commandos, how much should I ask for them and should I add them to a B/S/T post and once I get my shit together and make it, let y'all know. I'd rather it go to someone who'd want and appreciate them versus listing them on eBay until someone comes across them since I refuse to pay eBay for a sponsored listing.
>>11739549I really tried liking those micro-figures, and I get that Hasbro was trying to create an affordable "collectible," but they just sucked. Their 5" "Authentics" line was better because of much better-quality sculpts.
>>11739549Those are still easily available cheap. I'd probably just toss them in as a freebie.
>>11739584Okay, I also have a retro carded Cobra Commander someone gave me that I don't want, so sell him and toss those in there as a freebie, for example?
>>11739658sure.
>>11739658Keep it. Retro CC is a good figure that blends in with both the cartoon figures and the "serious" figures. Plus you can't have Cobra without its commander.
What the fuck happened
>>11739811"Action faces."
What's everyone gotten this year so far?
>>11739513That's fine by me, I'd prefer the larger versions have more details and features then the smaller stuff. I also like it when they update things to be more realistic-ish. I honestly miss the whole Joe-Pro detail from the earlier figures, and I wish they kept up with the "Modern update" aesthetic while keeping the direct upscale of 80s figures to the retro line.
>>11739873So far just a retro BAT and an R+ Mara and Acrtic Scarlett. I haven't been impressed with anything else. I plan on getting R+ Flash and 250th Lady Jaye as well as Airtight, Zanya, retro Wild Bill, Legacy Special Forces, and Sundown when they come out. But they're not out.
>>11739873Desert Scorpion and a pair of Night Vipers.
>>11739873i only ordered the royal guard
>>11739873Hit and Run (one of the best figs in the line), Night Viper (pretty good too) and the big Nota guy to use as a PMC or something
>>11739717I agree but I don't need him, he really is a spare and I don't have room, he would just go into storage. My plan this year is to start streamlining my collection and really focus it. I still will have over 100 figures but I don't need the number I have, a lot of which are in the packages and I am NOT an MIB collector, everything I display is opened and I find displaying boxes to be - honestly - the same as living in the toy aisle at a store. I don't get it.Everything I own that's in the package that is older than 3 months or that I didn't buy recently and just haven't had the chance to use (it's part of planned display) is getting sold. Some of the them are more than 1 or 2 years and are still boxed up which is just, to me, nonsensical.
These Acid Rain figures look sick, Extra hands and modular guns, sign me the fuck up.
>>11739941>Hit and Run (one of the best figs in the line)He's great, had to replace the hands though
>>11740452There's a better version, and it appears to be out now
>>11738938>GI Joe could even hire them for the right price. They wouldn't, but that seems like it'd be a good episode >>11738911Not really. It looks like something mass produced not something that brown guy made himself
>>11739873Man Lifeline only looks correct with that helmet on
>>11740480In one episode the Dreadnoks got one of the three pieces of the weather dominator, and ofered to sell it to the Joes or Cobra (whoever was the highest bidder). So they're flexible.
>>11740475Wait, where are people finding this? It hasn't even gone up for pre order yet.
People are starting to get their comic book Cobra Commander.
A look at the pack-in comic.
A forward by Larry Hama in the reprint stating that it restores some dialog that editors changed in the original printing.
Back of the book. It would be really cool if Super7 kept making more comic packs featuring different comic characters.
Some head swaps since Hasbro won't allow hooded Cobra Commander anymore.
Some shots of the packaging.
The back with filecard.
>>11740591I'd like the idea as long as it's not bullcrap-priced.
>>11740475Did Bobby cry at all about Hasbro using “his” Action Solider trademark?
>>11740608Comparatively Hasbro wants almost the same price for recent "deluxe" Star Wars TVC figures. People can split hairs on the comparison, but Super7 is licensing the product and the pack in comic is a nice added value, when comics are now around the $5 range these days, so feels justifiable. The presentation is nice too. I do think that Super7 if they were only doing Joes could cut the prices down, because they're selling them at a much higher volume than any of their other Reaction and Reaction+ figures, and people are buying them, to the point of figures getting second runs.
Got this to go with Crystal Ball since I guess they're giving him his own faction and hey, that's cool, but I gotta say a lot of this shit doesn't stays in. Gatling guns stay in with friction in theory, but they fall out under their own weight. One of the ammunition belts doesn't stay in at all, like AT ALL. Also he can't really hold his gun at all in a secure position because of the curved handle, which is a shame cause he has all those ammunition clips on his leg for the one gun he looks fucking stupid holding. It's still cool looking so I guess I'll just glue everything in place. Torso range is great too.
>>11740608It's 30 bucks, so not cheap but not crazy
>>11740475>Action SoldierThese modern takes do absolutely nothing for me, I was really hoping the commemorative stuff would hearken back to the originals.
>>11740688>Got this to go with Crystal Ball since I guess they're giving him his own factionThey did a translucent green Praetorian that would have worked almost perfectly for that, but I suspect it's absurdly expensive now. Sorry you got a dud Pyre.ln anon.
>>11740704I looked it up and I'm shocked how much these figures go for on the after market OC army guys with no real fiction (this isn't meant to sound like a diss but I don't know how to rewrite it so it doesn't sound like one) have a lot of people who want them I guess.
>>11740704It glows a lot greener in real life, I guess it doesn't show up well on camera
>>11740688I like that it's clearly modeled off of Kenner Robocop. But I just hate Bobby Vala so much, that I don't know if I could will myself to buy it.
>>11738928literally her design for decades.
>>11740573Youtubers are reviewing it with ones in-hand, so I assume that it's out somewhere>>11740715Clear and glow-in-the-dark plastic always make toys cooler.
>>11740587can we see the original speech being put in?
>>11738893The Reaction Artic Scarlett is on Target's eBay clearance site for 28% off, free shipping included, if anyone cares:https://www.ebay.com/itm/188189944018
>>11740925It was never $31.99 at retail. It was $25. So they're smudging the price to try to convince you're saving a lot even though you're saving only $2. And I have it. I like it more than I do the original. And going to their site it's nice to see that we finally have a street date for the punk Zartan wave.
>>11740486Yeah he's a bit of a pinhead without it. I also game him a longer neck joint and retro Duke's hands cause they fucked up and gave him what were meant to be Big Lob's hands somehow.
>>11741056He looks too much like Jerry Lewis for my liking. All he needs is a voice chip to make obnoxious sounds that irritate the fuck out of everyone but the French to complete the package.
>>11740592>>11740593Wasnt it some retard at paramount who forced hasbro to not make hooded cobra commander figures anymore? Now that paramount is under new management is that guy responsible for bitching about cobra commanders hood fired yet?
>>11741089If that was it We can expect a hooded figure in two to three years
>>11741089Lorenzo di Bonaventura, supposedly. Hasbro swears up and down there is no official stricture against producing a hooded Cobra Commander figure.
>>11741105Look at Hasbro's Instagram. It's all woke women and posts about supporting women, brown people, homos, and other special snowflakes. And the GI Joe brand manager is a woman who wasn't even born when all the classic stuff the new stuff is based on was out. Judging by how she looks, she probably wasn't born when Star Wars Episode 1 was in theaters. If only one person suggested that the hood could be KKK, they're never touching it again. That's how the leftist collectivist hivemind works. They'll literally fear people on X and Instagram calling them (dramatic gasp) names.
>>11741113Can't argue with any of that.
>>11740919The guy didn't take a picture of it, but should have. It's something that makes this version unique to this particular release.
>>11741105If he's important enough to actually make it so they won't release a hooded figure then he's important enough that they're all scared to blame him and pretend there isn't a rule
>>11741138Exactly. One person suggested it, and now fear of cancel culture compels them to intentionally avoid it.
>>11741253Not wanting to name the name of the person who said not to do it, and confirm there is a rule against it because of him, because you would then get fired isn't really cancel culture
>>11741105The Super 7 guy soft confirmed it early on when he said they weren't allowed to put a hooded head with their Ultimate CC.
Man, and I thought Hit & Run was skinny.
>>11741113people like this is exactly why GI Joe can't have a FPS to make it popular again. It's a miracle GI Joe is currently allowed to use realistic looking guns.
>>11741462
>>11741113Sorry the toys upset you.
>>11740952>smudging the priceThe Joe I bought from them months ago was definitely a good price, not Walmart bargain yellow tagged but still better than actual retail. The only Super I own was given to me, and I know it was $20 on Amazon. But you're right, the have a Marvel Legends at $30 that is clearanced on their actual app to $31+ and pulled out another Target Exclusive you can find on eBay for $24/$27, the MSRP, that they are marking down from $50 to $35.I guess someone has to pay for the free shipping everyone else gets! I did score myself a pair of Chinos for $11+ each.
>>11741113>who wasn't even born when all the classic stuff the new stuff is based on was out. Judging by how she looks, she probably wasn't born when Star Wars Episode 1 was in theaters.I dont know why you included this autistic part
>>11741462more on that black widow?
>>11741489but he was talking about the staff at hasbro
>>11741462That's good for realism because not every man is a roided-up He-man. And Hasbro is fucking around with taking too long to re-use Rattler pilot Baroness's mold. They know what sells, but they have to do things on their own terms instead of on the terms of paying customers trying to give them fucking money. They make their annual lists, and the list will be adhered to even if half of it ends up being clearance shit no one wanted. Hence the reason why we're in year 6 and still no boat of any kind, Skyhawk, or Firebat. They lost money last year, and they wouldn't have if they had sat down and focused on what the customers are willing to buy. But they have to be so unfuckingbelievably stubborn with sticking to the list even when it costs them. >>11741571Not him, but there you go.
>>11741462I cant imagine how much cutting I'd have to do to improve his range of motion if he was on a gym bro buck.
>>11741668>>11741672Yeah I don't mind it really, it's just interesting to see given how homogenous the line was starting to feel. And it's certainly good for posing
>>11741571Motorcycle Widow gauntlets and hair fitted onto the Target Widow, along with some extra stuff like Yelena hands, holsters, and Nebula's belt.
>>11741715Yeah, he's pretty good out of the box. I cut a notch out of his collar and did some trimming on the head and neck to make prone shooting poses possible.
>>11741717Hey I have that Cortana figure. Well it's not really a figure and is a plastic statuette with zero POA. It's alright though. >>11741715I can't get my rattler Baroness to stand at all nevertheless in "contraposto." Mine has one janky ankle that refuses to go straight down and always wants to have toes pointed up on its own. It won't stand at all without a figure stand to help her because of that bad ankle.
>>11741717Oooo, that's nice.
>>11741725I've modified the neck range on nearly every figure that uses double ball pegs in the neck. It's a shame they can't implement those well. I feel like they actually had it right with the early figures that use hinges at the top and a ball joint at the base.
>>11741726It's somehow the best Cortana figureine outside of super expensive stuff. Gotta clean mine up though, it's prone to leaking plasticizer. I must've gotten lucky with my Baroness, cause I didn't have any trouble standing her. I do keep her on the stand though just to be safe. >>11741727Thanks, I'm in the middle of creating a "timeline" of her looks. Hope they get around to doing the first appearance one with the fishnets
>>11741737>leaking plasticizerDo you live in a hot and low-humidity environment?
>>11741745I do, but I also bought it new in box when it was already about 10 years old, so it had been stewing for a while and was super gunky when I opened it.
>>11741758Low humidity draws moisture out of everything, and heat helps it out.
>>11741715>Night-Vipers are trained to operate in complete darkness. They live in windowless barracks with no interior lights and they are in constant training in stealth and darkness. As part of their regimen and discipline, they sneak up on each other often and they almost never see the light of dayThey're skinny because they dont get any vitamins from the sun
>>11741830Or maybe when commanding officers are making pigs of themselves in the terrodrome mess hall, they keep forgetting to feed the night vipers.
>>11741568Because he's a raging spaz who is looking for any reason to bitch about things. >>11741462>>11741715>>11741830These guys are basically goth kids with NVGs and big ass rifles, of course they'd be twigs. >>11741830
>>11742059>who is looking for any reason to bitch about things>complains about a woman and brings up star wars for no reason Its just strange to see that Eltingville Club isnt a strawman comic and people really do talk like that
>>11742059I've seen fat goths. Remember that "Girugamesh" guy?
>>11742062They're rarer in real life, but yes there are people that spastic out there. >>11742091>Girugamesh" guy...the actor from that con commercial?
>I am of the sneaking suspicion you are siphoning funds, Miss Briar>the numbers you've reported these past three months aren't adding up>you come up short on output yet your budget has ballooned recently
>>11742388>For your sake you better have a good explanation>if you do not I will be forced to take...disciplinary action>do you understand?
>>11742389>what are you babbling abou-
>>11742391>what the hell is going on?!>a new prototype by your design?>well then shut it off, you moron!
>>11742393>calm yourself, guardswoman>this is a stunning development>consider me very interested where this project is going, Miss Briar
>>11742394>phew, that could've gone a whole lot worse>I'm so happy the Commander liked my secret project>see you all next time on Cobra Creators!
>>11742395I really wish that the CG came with alt heads for the times the Joes were in disguise in Cobra uniforms. The blue shirts too.
>>11742511Shipwreck disguised as Cobra Commander Classified figure when?
>>11742638That would be nice. Stuff like alt-heads of Joes in Cobra troops is an easy way to help sell it. But Hasbro sees alt-heads as "black guy and white guy with the same figure."
>>11742638After "Stinky Diver" Shipwreck, which just needs a new head sculpt to be done.
>>11742810Falcon, Zarana, Valkyries, Dusty - there are several figures that just need a better head sculpt to make them better.
>>11743536
>>11743537
>>11743538
>>11743540
>>11743542
>>11743540Finally, I've been waiting for this for years
>>11743536I really liked his cartoon character so he's a must-buy for me>>11743537>Darth Vader, but purple, and he's also a mechanicNever liked this one. >>11743538Looks alright for a greenshirt. Why can't they make a Cobra trooper that's a simple blueshirt like this?>>11743540Heall yeah. That one falls into "day-1 buy." It's heavily science-fiction but it still looks cool.
>>11743543Coming with the Despoiler, while an easy assumption, is eerie since I would have the space for a flying vehicle suspended from the ceiling in my IG display This is exactly what I wanted though
>>11743537Didn't the normal one of these shelf warm like crazy This seems like a crazy one to do again
>>11743551Amazing collection. Uh, what's with the spray bottles and toilet paper though?
>>11743569No male Crimson Guard to go with the lady?
>>11743569This might be going into autistic territory but since Darklon came with that extra head I put it on a spare body, but Star Wars gear from a $8 figure on it, and made a OC who is in charge of cleaning at M.A.R.S. Industries. He also has a giant Tardigrade as a pet just because I have that
>>11743576>No male Crimson GuardI didn't like huge ab crunch with big gaps design.
>>11743536I'm down, even if I don't have a helicopter for him. Are stands something folks have been clamoring for? Honest question.
>>11743721From day one yeah
>>11743542>>11743538>>11743536I feel like we get these Renders now to simulate how long it used to take between preordering and actually getting it
>>11743620>at M.A.R.S Industries even the custodian is toting multiple firearmsVery cool.
>>11743722Ah, okay.I know it's not the correct type, but I wonder how well the 60th Anniversary halo jumper helmet would fit on Wild Bill?
>>11743736Gotta have some way to keep those underlings in line cause you can't trust a fucking robot with chainsaw arms to refill the toilet paper in the mens room
>>11743736It's hard to notice in that picture, but he has a backpack that has a gun that flips up and points over his shoulder, and I thought that was great because it meant he could still shoot while cleaning
>>11743721It's a blister-filler since Wild Bill doesn't have much that it could come with. If they were out of ideas as to what to include then they could have included a mini Dragonfly like how Sgt Slaughter came with a mini-figure
>>11743721>>11743767Retros have included stands since the very first wave
>>11743767>If they were out of ideas as to what to include then they could have included a mini Dragonfly like how Sgt Slaughter came with a mini-figureThat's actually not a bad idea. May need to dig out my Micro Machines Cobra.
>>11743767>>11743776Ive been thinking about getting it but $5 plus shipping seems like a lot
>>11743816Perfect. I really wish figures would come with stuff like that.
>>11741105>Lorenzo di Bonaventura, supposedlyWell is he fired yet?
>>11743536Neat, I guess he's a maybe. Hopefully they come out with a Sky Hawk or something for him to pilot. The original didn't have a figure, and if ditching a figure would keep a Classified version cheaper, I'm all for it. Hell, if they're sub $60 I'd probably buy multiples. >>11743538I could always use more Grunts. Sadly I missed the actual Greenshirts. Was hoping they'd go on sale, but silly me for thinking army builders would ever be cheap. >>11743540>>11743542>>11743543Now THIS I am all for. This also means Zanzibar's air skiff is actually a possibility.
>>11743542Dare I dream
>>11743536This gives me hope Wild Weasel will get an individual release in a year or two.>>11743538Is this supposed to be Grunt or just a generic greenshirt trooper?>>11743540At last, this is one of Destro's best looks.>>11743542>>11743543Very cool, are we expecting this will be around the same price point as Serpentor with the Air Chariot, or higher? It looks like it's a bit bigger.
>>11743953>Very cool, are we expecting this will be around the same price point as Serpentor with the Air Chariot, or higher? It looks like it's a bit bigger.I'm bracing for VAMP pricing
>>11743954It'll definitely be at or near $100.
>>11743536I'm assuming Ripcord will be in the retro wave after this one.
Two ID HELP questions: on that bald head, that scarab type 'jewel' I slipped on to properly photograph it, that is something Joe, and I am assuming Cobra, and is it valuable to list on its own or should I just toss it into a generic lot of loose random fodder?
And do these have any value without the rest of their bodies - or again just dump them into a loose (and as y'all can see, very random) fodder listing.
I know the middle and upper/lower right are Joe heads, but what about the far left two and ID help, please?
>>11744010>scarab type 'jewel'It's a mask for the middle head in this post>>11744019, I would just toss it into a fodder lot. >>11744015>any value without the rest of their bodiesNo>>11744019Far left head is a Cobra character Big Boa, the bearded one is a Joe named Breaker. The lower right head is actually a Marvel Legends Shang Chi
>>11743551>Another round of announcements and no Baroness. I can't take it anymore.
Finally, I assume these, on the far right, are the two Snow Job heads from 67, even though the hair color isn't a perfect match? And, if so, I should list them with the hood, as a lot? Thanks gentlemen.
>>11744025Top right is Snow Job, bottom right is Outback.
>>11744023Thank you. I will probably sell the mask with Road Pig's head; I know it annoys me when I see someone split up something they should sell together.>>11744026Thank you!
>>11744024I'm in the same boat, anon. I bought a Crimson Guardswoman because I wanted another Cobra babe and Best Baroness hasn't gotten her Retro single release yet. Baroness is going to have an all women squad to boss around if they keep releasing chicks in tight Cobra uniforms before her.
>>11743569>>11744067Fem cg honestly looks very disappointing compared to some of the recent female figures. Everyone praised how nice retro Scarlett's butt and Pythona's tits looked, why pull back?
>>11744068Anon, the uniform is so tight on the CG woman you can see her ass stretching the fabric. Her tits noticeably bulge under a thick uniform coat meaning they're pretty big underneath. What more do you need? A visible ass crack? A Kim Kardashian tier ghetto booty? A boob window with titties as big as her head?
The new Cobra Commander matches the comic Bats.
>>11744079I can forgive the small bust cause it would fuck up the jacket sculpt, but that butt is quite small. And you could easily mistake those legs for male legs with how tubular the sculpt is, especially compared to something like the new Baroness that has extremely feminine and slender shaping.
>>11744084Baroness is the sexiest woman working for Cobra. She should not be the bar, she is the ceiling. Random troopers, officers, and guardswomen cannot be expected to be at her level. Also again, the small bust isn't really small. The uniform coat is compressing her tits so they appear smaller than they actually are which happens to women in real life when they wear military dress uniforms.
>>11744024Is there any other vest I can use on mine? The flight vest is getting a bit boring for me, but she looks plain without something. The only thing I know of is Cover Girl's coat which doesn't go well with her at all.
>>11744067Whether it be the original or classified one, Crimson Guards are among the few figures that just look incomplete without the backpack.
The super7 ultimates Joes suck, right? They're pretty deeply discounted on bbts at the moment, and I'm tempted to go ahead and get the cobra ones.
>>11744240I beg to differ. Both the OG comics and cartoons rarely ever depicted them wearing backpacks so I never put the backpack on them. Even when I was a kid I never used them.
>>11744252Here's the cartoon reference sheet.
>>11744254Even the 1985 cardback art didn't have a backpack on.
>>11744251I like the cartoon likeness. I don't like the intentional fridge-bodies on the females or them being one inch too tall to blend in with Classified. >>11744252I know it's just my opinion, but some figures look plain to me without the backpacks.
>>11744202Are you asking me this, because you are determined to push me to take a bath with a toaster?
>>11744288Don't be like that. Hasbro already said they wait a year before deciding to reissue anything from HASLAB, and we're three months away from it having been out a year. They got a Wild Bill reissue out since the Dragonfly three years ago, with a second reissue on the way. So be patient. Or scrape and save to get it ASAP. It's not a rare figure. Over 28,000 were made. Ones like Ghost Viper probably got half that number. That's why it's since dropped from $150 to $120, and opened ones can be had for less if you pounce on them fast enough before someone else does.

>>11744310>the Cobra emblem turns into a nutsack Bro. The wrong people are gonna go to that bar.
>>11744251They look pretty good if you want cartoon likeness but they can barely pose and they’re full of classic S7 design mistakes like soft parts that will break if you use that limited articulation, and loose hips/torsos. I still kind of like them despite the flaws because hasbro is clearly never going to do actual cartoon accuracy but the discount prices are probably still too much for them, and knowing the line is dead without even finishing the core cast or cobra high command makes it feel pointless.
>>11744332Except the female ones. They intentionally made them shitty to "fight coomer male gaze" without caring that the goal is to make money by selling shit people want to buy.

>>11744319>>11744399I was going for a female anthro snake with her breasts covered.
>>11744428It looks like balls, bro. Try placing the boobs right below the neck
>>11744428Those bobs are waaay to low. Unless you are going for that saggy flap jack styled boob look.

>>11744541Nice work, but Dreadnoks don't drink alcohol. They drink grape soda.
>>11744541Looks like shit. Why did you even post that?
>>11744541>>11744606Depending on the age of the poster, it could be charming or sad. The bottom of the pool table looks like it's wrapped in bacon.
>>11744606>>11744618Oh you're back
Doing some backtracking atm. Really wishing I hadn't held off on Snow Job right now, seems primed for a retro release though. Low Light is oddly expensive as well.
>>11744618>doesn't know what woodgrain looks likeYou're just looking for an excuse to throw shit. I think the diorama looks nice.
>>11743893>This also means Zanzibar's air skiff is actually a possibility. It's always been the sort of size which made it a possibility, but Zanzibar's Air Skiff is more like Darklon's Evader in terms of fans caring about the character and the mini-vehicle than it is like Zartan and his Swamp Skier, Serpentor and his Air Chariot, or version 2 Destro and his Despoiler. It's niche enough that there's more chance we'll just get a standalone Zanzibar figure for people who just want to complete the 1980s Deadnoks lineup.
>>11745147Or they could toss it in as unlocks for the Thunder Machine.
>>11745167Do you really want the risk of Thrasher AND Zanzibar being paywalled behind a Haslab project for years?
>>11745191HASLAB prices are going up. Incentives to motivate people need to get better.
Did anyone see the Destro is My Spirit Animal spoilers at the end of 2025?With all of that coming true (including dinosaurs) in the first months of 2026, here are the rest of the spoilers that haven’t been confirmed or announced officially yet:Dreadnoks motorcycle with Heartwrencher.Cobra water moccasin with gunner.Dusty with Sandstorm.G.I.Joe Desert team.Thunder Machine with Thrasher. (Didn’t specify if next HasLab or not)
>>11738928Get out of here you fucking casual.

>>11745147More likely they make Thrasher and Zanzibar a two pack
>>11745263>Crap idea. No one outside of modern comic book fans know who she is. I don't even read the comics and I know who she is. Besides, the vehicle alone will sell the set.>Needs Copperhead. Since he's already out there, no it doesn't. At best, re-release him along side of it. But selling it without a pilot will help focus the budget on the boat. Hopefully it's at least a similar size to that Fortnite boat they put out years back, as that thing was 80% of the way to being a Moccasin to begin with. >Eh. I'm indifferent. Same, though I'll probably grab it. It's no Spearhead and Max though. >Dusty with Snadstorm should be shoved into this one.Eh, if it's a two pack I'd prefer it to be more generic mooks, so adding Dusty can make it a trio. >Needs unlockable incentives.*If* it's a Haslab (which it will be), that's to be expected. Hopefully they're not actually important characters though as that would just cause a huge uproar. In a perfect world it would be a retail release, seeing as it's just a fancy car, but the name recognition alone for that thing almost guarantees it's spot as a prestige Haslab release.>>11745288Thrasher won't be made unless they do a Thundermachine. And seeing how much the current team loves the Dreadnoks, that's happening one way or another.
>>11745297>Hopefully they're not actually important charactersImportant characters incentivize more than generic nobodies, which is why with the Rattler the gunner is the most worthless figure. And they do come back as variants after the HASLAB release like Wild Bill did.
>>11745297A decent selling point for a reissue of Copperhead with the Water mocisin would be to have the pack in figure be unmasked. No masked head.
>>11745297>Heartwrencher>>11745263as someone who reads the comic, i vaguely remember who she is and after refreshing my memory, yeah, i can see why i don't relaly remember her.I think any unknown or original character can work, as long as they have a good design. This isn't. Boring/generic and from bad comics. And i think with lesser popular vehicles, you really need a good pack in to have it sell. Otherwise, just release the vehicle by itself. You don't want to hurt sales.
>>11745319No Classified vehicle has come without a figure yet except for the S.N.A.K.E. armor, which doubles as a robot.
>>11745325It would be nice if they did leave figures out because the crappy ferret driver and claw pilot weren't worth the extra price.
>>11745450They wouldn't be substantially cheaper, unfortunately, those figures are all repaint so they cost almost nothing, their inclusion is to make it seem like you're getting less ripped off than you are.
>>11745308Yea, I don't think a Thundermachine would really need incentives. It's far more popular and far more iconic then a Snowcat, and people already have tons of Dreadnoks in their collections and a Thundermachine would just be a crown in those collections. Honestly, instead of figures, I'd rather see some simple 1:12 scale bikes included. Even if they were just retools of the current Marvel Legend chopper, it'd be cool to see something different like that to slot right into existing collections. But I doubt something that cool would happen. >>11745319Yea, she's essentially a non-character, but if her figure turns out well no one will care how little character she has. Not exactly the character I'd want packed with a bike though, especially since many people may want more then one for their collections and she's not exactly a figure worth army building. >>11745325So there's precedent. Copperhead is in a unique position, and correct me if I'm wrong, as he's the only Pilot figure who was initially released as single pack without his vehicle. Hasbro could easily get away with not including him in the box and instead release a Retro Card version of him or something. I think I'd rather see the two come out separately so fans who already have Copperhead don't feel forced to double dip on him. >>11745450I don't think I'd mind if less vehicles came with figures. Like the aforementioned Dreadnok Cycle, the original didn't have a specific pilot so a Classified version doesn't really need one, especially a named character at that. Even the Chameleon with Zanya set could've just skipped out on the figure and sold better as people plan to buy multiples. Sadly it seems they're packing less popular characters with army builder vehicles and that just feels wrong. But something like a Sky Hawk or Devil Fish doesn't need a pilot and it would be nice if they started not packing them in for smaller vehicles people might want to army build.
>>11745325>>11745450>>11745521they include the figure to keep the price high. It's all about maximiizing revenue, which is why you need better figures, because then people will balk at the high price.... not that they don't balk when a vehicle already comes with a good figure.
This probably sounds weird but I'd like them to make a Dr. Melani
>>11745806If any Doctor gets a release it better be Knox.
Tiger Force Wild Bill listed as the next Target Exclusive

>>11746279Wow cool! Lucky!I saw two for $45 and I passed, then I regretted it but I will probably pick two up sooner or later.I like the new Zombie, reminds me of the toxic ones I had as a kid.
>>11745263>No one outside of modern comic book fans knowSo what dude, they make figures of characters that don't even exist in any lore.
>>11746810True, but like ninjas there's only so much you can do before wider audiences get sick of it.
>>11746173>Tiger force Snake Eyes Ever noticed how a lot of Reaction+ releases parallel Hasbro releases?
>>11746840As long as the figure is cool people won't get sick. Plenty of people collect Classified without ANY prior knowledge of the franchise, that's a good sign the line is doing something right. If you only cater to those "in the know" you'll just kill your franchise as new fans won't care and old fans will get bored. Mix the old with the new and get the best of both worlds.

>>11747133I got the Joe/Cobra diver 2-pack and want the female version to go with it now.
>>11747094>and they still haven't struck out with a cobra chickThe Valkyries have demon eyes and are flatter than most of the men, Zarana's face needs improvement to lose that "action face," and battle armor Baroness has weird proportions in comparison to the Rattler version. Plus with stuff like leg pins, a half-torso armor instead of full-torso, and retarded shoulder pads and forearm gauntlets, she's long-overdue for an improved version. Really the only female Cobras they got right were Zarana minus the face, Pythona, and Rattler Baroness. Zanya looks promising too but we'll see when it's actually out.

>>11747648>She's fine, shape-wise>>11747519Notice the longer torso that just looks weird against Rattler Baroness. Also notice the goofy legs that aren't as feminine and muscle-toned. >>11738893I finally got comic pack cobra commander in the mail today and im debating if i should cut out his file card from the box and throw out the rest of the packaging or keep the box. I dont plan on putting him back in it either i wanna have him out with me for a while. What should i do fellas?
>>11747852Yeah, sure but the idea of Halloween monster soldiers is fun and not really any less stupid than the Dreadnoks, Tomax and Xamot, all of the Cobra La stuff and so on.I want figures of these weirdos.
>>11748001Dreadnoks were actually based off of IRL Australian biker gangs that were active around that time IIRC. I agree with your original point tho
>>11748001Cobra La (and the cartoon shit in general) is many times worse than the Dreadnoks. Not even in the same league. Monsters don't belong in GI Joe. GI Joe works best as modern military but 10 in the future.Pic is still a cool toy, but this is when you know Hasbro was running out of ideas.
>>11747906I would store the comic in the box and keep it near my Joe display.
>>11748010Monsters can absolutely work with G.I. Joe, but not as their main antagonist. Cobra should always be there main threat, but other organizations or groups made up of different types of enemies are always welcomed.
>>11748010>Monsters don't belong in GI Joe.
>>11748035i draw the line at zombies, because they're just the same shit as BATs. Mindless drones. If they can create monsters, then the power creep begins, so why not create superheroes at that point? SAme shit with Nemesis Enforcer and the rest of the cobra la dumbness.Shit only works in stupid 80s cartoons, because everyone forgets it even happened the next episode. No consequences or continuity is for retards only, because even kids want better than that.
>>11748045Saying Zombies and Robots are the same thing is just dumb. They fill two completely different horror roles and require entirely different tactics to combat. And the reason they don't "just make super heroes" is because Cobra tries and fails to make Super Powered soldiers and fails, resulting in monsters. But the Joes, as the good guys, don't resort to those kind of shenanigans and save the day using wits, training and nerves of steel. That's what makes G.I. Joe G.I. Joes, they're not super powered but they're still dealing with things that can go beyond the realm of the normal every day terrorist threat. If I wanted soldiers fighting soldiers, I could get that from a billion different franchises. What I want is Metal Gear Solid....for kids. Which is exactly what G.I. Joe is and what makes it great.
>>11748012>would store the comic in the box and keep it near my Joe display.Probs will do just that, thanks for the reply anon
I like kooky sci-fi shit so i never understood why a large portion of the gi hoe fandom hates anything other then super realism in their toyline where the military fights flamboyant super villains. Then again i got into the series mostly from watch the cartoon reruns on the hub and from seeing that shitty rise of cobra movie when i was 13 so i experienced ARAH much different then alot of you guys did.
>>11747906Fuck it. It's no longer MOSC anyway, and since it'll never be worth what a 1982 straight-arm mickey-emblem Cobra Commander is worth, then just go for it. >>11748010>Cobra La (and the cartoon shit in general) is many times worse than the Dreadnoks.I agree. The idea was so retarded that Larry Hama refused to incorporate them into the comic books, and the line was such a flop that Hasbro decided to inciorporate the reamining planned Cobra-La figures as Cobras (Darklon, FRAG Viper, Hydro-Viper, etc.). >Monsters don't belong in GI Joe. GI Joe works best as modern military but 10 in the future.GI Joe works best "Metal Gear Solid" style with a foundation of realism but with sci-fi (including man-made monsters) thrown in. It just gets retarded when you step into the years where everyone has comically-oversized guns, you got a football guy who's weapon is a football-grenade launcher, a baseball guy who's weapon is a baseball-grenade launcher, stealth planes have day-glow flourescent missles and accessories, a BAT that looks like it was done up for Halloween, and other goofy stuff. Also anyone can be a ninja now and we need lots of ninjas. And they need motorcycles because nothing says "silent ninja stealth" like a Kawasaki that can be heard from a half-mile away in a remote area.
>>11748277Battle Armor CC is so cool, hate that they fucked up the Classified version
>>11748497The only bad part is the plastic "silver" instead of paint. Otherwise it's a nice figure, and throwing in "Serpentor" is a nice touch and shows they do pay attention to the source material.
>>11748497How did they fuck it up? I dont usually like classified all that much but i got that figure and its alright for what it is.
>>11748010the retarded cartoon shit is half the fun of gi joe, take the stick out of your ass
>>11748535>>11748538Lack of silver paint was the biggest issue, but they just smoothed out the design too much imo, it borders on an Iron Man suit. It's missing a lot of the hard edges and sharp corners that make the design what it is. Not to mention the small head and incorrect pointing hand, but that's getting into nitpicks
>>11748037 Suggesting Joes shouldn't face monsters... Is OP some kind of slack-jawed faggot?
>>11748543It's Subjectanon, don't bother. He cannot comprehend people liking things he doesn't.
>>11748010they didn't run out of ideas for a military line, they wanted to cross over into dinosaur/monster/space territory before. we saw years later they made Pursuit of Cobra, and that was military but with a cutting edge/sci fi feel to it. basically GI Joe is at its best IMO when its less goofy (stupid monsters and aliens) ,yet a little bit out there with its tech and designs.
>>11747852Was this that crap written by that douche that Hasbro finally fired a few years back.I hope they fired the artists too.
>>>11748114 the reason they don't "just make super heroes" is because Cobra tries and fails to make Super Powered soldiers and failswell la de dah, we got ourselves a genuine cartoon writer from the 80s posting on 4chan.How many lines of coke did you snort before typing up your post? Because it sure sounds like you're totally confident in your nonsense writing that doesn't hold water to anyone older than 7.Just because GI Joe comes in to stomp on Cobra's sand castle one time doesn't mean that Cobra should forever stop making sand castles. Just because Cobra's sand castle used too little water and crumbled the first time doesn't mean Cobra should give up on making another one after learning their mistake.Every CHILD (besides the mentally ill ones) knows that you TRY AGAIN.You know how many prototypes the military creates, because the early ones ultimately fail, if it even works at all? Dozens, if not thousands. So if Cobra can make a monster, you KEEP MAKING MORE MONSTERS. No one would ever stop making more, even after they get the one that they originally planned to make, because they can always improve. This is how good writing starts, because it's the RATIONAL thing to do, unlike the retarded baby who gives up after being bullied once.GI Joe works best when it's based on real world, but ten years in the future. We have BATS and ZOMBIES (not the undead kind, but the mindless violent drone kind) today. Where are the monsters? We can milkshake babies, make clones, but not dinosaurs, nor wooly mammoths, or even animals that went extinct a 120 years ago. We can go to space, make miniature jets, create hallucinogens, train wolves, have sword fights on the battle field, make transforming buildings and vehicles, and megalomaniacs who want (and succeeded) to take over their own countries>>11748543the 80s cartoon isn't as popular as you think it is, hence the cartoon accurate stuff not selling well. It's for nostalgifags and is openly mocked by everyone else
>>11748655More people watched the cartoon back then and even more people watch the cartoon who get into the franchise now then read the comic. Barely any new fans read the old comic anymore from what i can tell
>>11748655Nostalgic fans carried the line for decades. You're coat-tailing off of them. And it sells, which is why over 95% of the line is derivatives of the classic stuff. If you avoided all of that, all you would have are a ghost viper, grim viper, ferret driver, and legacy stuff like the cops.
>>11748655The Retro Classified line and all the figures we get based on the cartoon over the years far outsell tacticool GI Joe stuff. If I wanted "realistic military operators" as toys I wouldn't turn to GI Joe for my fix.
>>11748672>>11748676a lot of people watched the cartoon back in the day, but who likes it? Anytime it hits pop culture, it's only to be made fun of. Everyone knows it's bad, hence the the cartoon accurate stuff not being popular.Hasbro mostly ignores it and for good reason, because they don't want to be seen as a joke. Even when they made the Cobra La stuff, it's not a 1:1 for the cartoon or even the old toys. Whereas their Classified/25th/GIJoeVsCobra lines all have had popular takes on the original figures, 1:1 in design (not style of course) AND the comic books tooSuper7's Ultimate line is dead, if not so unpopular that they've quit releasing shit to the point it's seemingly dead. Their 3.75" nostalgafag line is much more popular, because it's based on the toyline. But they couldn't fund that Cobra Mothership that appeared in the cartoon. And I'm not riding on any coat tails (I'm pushing 50, btw). Don't equate the 80s cartoon as being the main source for the GI Joe line, since GI Joe has always been a toyline first, and media came second. Hell the comic books came out years before the cartoon and the comic book writer was also in charge of creating all the personas for the GI Joes (he wrote all the file cards all the way into the 90s). Marvel created the concept for Cobra and some of its characters too.You know what was actually a popular seller in the GI Joe line? Years and years of comic packs and they even created them for two of their toylines. Anytime they tried to do that with the 80s cartoon, it didn't last long and most of the time they didn't even try to make the figures cartoon accurate. Also, Hasbro actually made cartoon accurate Renegade figures, and those were actually popular, even if the cartoon wasn't.
>>11748702>a lot of people watched the cartoon back in the day, but who likes it?I do and still do, what now butt munch?
>>11748706wow, one person. There's so few of you that this is why it took 25 years for Hasbro to make a cartoon accurate Lady Jaye.Whereas they had been making many comic book accurate and comic book only characters in those 20 years.BTW, are you one of those people who get confused if i asked you what it would feel like if you didn't eat today?
>>11748010>Pic is still a cool toy, but this is when you know Hasbro was running out of ideas. This was from the early 2000s revival of GI Joe, long after Hasbro ran out of ideas the first time around and had started all over again. Anyone else want Venomous Maximus in Classified?>>11748331>the line was such a flopIt was literally one 3-pack of Cobra-La figures. I know the Golobulus figure is bad, but does anyone have even anecdotal evidence that this pack was some utterly unsellable shelfwarmer that bombed worse than anything else in the 1987 line?
>>11748715to give you an idea of how unpopular the 80s cartoon actually is with fans, they actually made a fucking Kwinn action figure who only appeared in the comic books for like 4 issues and was killed off early on, before they made a cartoon Lady Jaye figure, who was frequently a main character in the 80s cartoon.
>>11748655>This is how good writing starts, because it's the RATIONAL thing to doSure, IRL if something almost worked this time, trying again is the rational thing to do (and If something crashed and burned with gorillions dead, trying again and again is the communist thing to do), but with fiction, people generally don't want to read or watch consecutive iterations of the exact same plot over and over again as the villain constantly attempts to get it right this time. That's why we get Cobra doing something different every time.
>>11748724>to give you an idea of how unpopular the 80s cartoon actually is with fansThe hardcore, organized online fandom was dominated by comic-only guys who hated the cartoon, but don't presume they were ever all of us or that they spoke for all of us. I like both the comic AND the cartoon and you can't change me.Hasbro pandered to the comic-only crowd for a long time because that's where the money was, but now the 80s fandom are all aging, and the Classified line has pivoted towards referencing the cartoons more than the comics, probably because a lot more casual fans have some level of familiarity with it, and it's all up on Youtube for new generations to discover, while nobody reads comics anymore and it's a dying industry.
>>11748721My local toy stores had Cobra La packs 2 years after they came out. They were as unpopular as the accessory pack that had missiles and guns in them.Any figures and vehicles from the Cobra La year was long gone by then, and even in the current year figures were harder to get, despite waves being stocked year round at that time (as opposed to the 2-4 month waves we get today). On the secondary market, for decades, they weren't popular. You could get the guard and golobulus figures for a song. Only Nemesis Enforcer was in demand.I always like the Guard design, btw, so managed to get two by trading a vintage Star Wars Imperial Officer with a friend.I don't own the current one because the design isn't like the movie's. Meh.>Anyone else want Venomous Maximus in Classified?considering modern era fans want Crystal Ball.......
>>11738893
>>11748702I still enjoy the cartoon. Out of all the 80s cartoons, it's among the few that still holds up today. Ultimates is dead because they were too expensive, the females were deliberately shitty "coomer hitler patriarchy sexist misogynist everything-ist male gaze, and a bad scale that knocked them out of going with any other Joe line. That doesn't mean that people didn't like the cartoon likeness. To the contrary the HASLAB Snowcat sold well and it's a cartoon bundle from "haul down the heavens." The only thing that's off is them substituting a big tent with the smaller BIVOUAC.
>>11748727Do you even read? Books and comics almost always have their characters try and try again, because that's the rational thing to do. Some of these series are lauded too.>>>11748735 while nobody reads comics anymore and it's a dying industry.Brother, that's what makes it all the more funny. The comic packs sold so well that they made them for the GI Joe Vs Cobra line and the 25th line. Year after year. While the DVD packs were discontinued. And at that point, DVDs were much cheaper to press than comic books, btw.Nevermind no one really cared to make cartoon accurate GI Joes for over 20 years.Nevermind that when Super7 finally made an entire line dedicated to them, the line died. But please, keep ignoring the fact that 80s GI Joe is widely mocked whenever it appears in pop culture and why Hasbro would naturally shy away from it.Comic books have nowhere near the audience that the 80s cartoon did yet....pic of a comic book only character that was fairly popular, despite being in a comic that sold like 20k issues. He was also made before they bothered to make a cartoon accurate Lady JAye figure.
>>11748747Agreed. "The hero wins every episode/issue" is the standard plot in everything. It's not necessarily bad to write that way, especially ifor children being taught that evil never wins. As far as the comic books go, Hama does escalate shit to where people on both sides do get killed. Then he decided that he liked the Baroness therefore she's a Joe now. The good guys always winning doesn't cheapen the bad guys. To the contrary all but one of the top five most valuable 80s Joes are Cobra (foreign variants and oddities notwithstanding).
>>11748747>Books and comics almost always have their characters try and try again, because that's the rational thing to do. Some of these series are lauded too. Please specify book or comic series where the villains try the EXACT SAME plot again and again every single time. Not things that are vaguely similar in the style of a Power Rangers villain. The EXACT SAME.>While the DVD packs were discontinued. You ever think that maybe they went into the whole DVD pack idea with the plan of just making the 5 of them, to cover the 4 Sunbow-era 5-parters, and the movie? Though the movie-themed pack ended up being a "best of" compilation of regular episodes, so maybe there were some legal issues preventing them putting the actual movie in that DVD pack. The DVD packs were also larger boxes with 4-5 figures and other things like MASS Device pieces, so they were more expensive and took up more shelf space than a pack of two figures with a comic, and the year after they were introduced the line did a hard pivot towards toys for the live action movie.>But please, keep ignoring the fact that 80s GI Joe is widely mocked>source: dude trust meBut you're just going to keep on saying this regardless because you're That Guy.>a cartoon accurate Lady Jaye figure. You seem very fixated on this single issue nobody else cares about for some reason.>>11748764Hama's not writing the comic where the Baroness is a Joe, that's the Energon Universe comic, and she probably won't stay a Joe there.
>>11748724Please stop.
>>11748735Honestly the comic book isn't as good as the cartoon. After Issue #1 the stories drag on for about a dozen issues before it gets good, and that's primarily because Larry Hama kept setting up each issue to always end with an unresolved plot line or cliffhanger. The book likewise spends too much time on the original 13 and on ninjas. Whole characters who are a big deal in Sunbow get little to no screen time in the comic. Sgt. Slaughter? 1 issue. Shipwreck? Forget it, Larry ignores him. Duke? Larry hates him for replacing Hawk. Spirit, Bazooka, Cross-Country, Gung-Ho, etc., nope Larry doesn't care about them.
If there is no Baroness tomorrow I'm going to book myself into the asylum.
>>11748610Confusing people. Tom Scioli's mini actually fucking rocked and was universally loved because he actually LOVED GI JOE and it was the only Joe book that was being published by IDW in its last couple of times that didn't actively despise the franchise and it's fans for not being wokeThe shithead saying it was reviled is a lying fake ass fan who is making shit up. It was the only good GI Joe book of the 10s and I wouldn't be shocked to if the lying asshole is Aubry Sitterson, still eternally butthurt Scioli's love letter to the Joes outsold his rape of the franchise
>>11748610Stop lying you stupid jerk. As another poster said, GI Joe vs Transformers was the only good Joe book in the 10s and was a love letter to the franchise in a company that actively despised GI Jie
>>11748780The DVD sets were notorious because they overproduced the first two sets which were the weakest and least liked of the mini series arcs (MASS Device and Weather Dominator) and further filled them with figures no one wanted. As such, the mini series arcs that people actually LOVED (Pyramid of Darkness and Arise Serpentor Arise) were severely under produced and had blink and miss releases, made worse by them having figures fans actually WANTED, including Alpine and toy accurate Serpentor, and quickly were selling for $100-200 online and still hold high prices online, as did the final DVD set based on the intro to the movie.
>>11748764Shit like Lord of the Rings has a pretty simplistic good vs evil plot, but it's actually GOOD, unlike the original GI Joe cartoon. Most cartoons from the 80s were awful and the GI Joe cartoon is the epitome of that stupidity. Great concept, great designs, some great characters (all thanks to Hasbro and Marvel), but the cartoon itself was insipid and was badly animated.>>11748780>try the EXACT SAME plot again and again every single timeRemember when i talked about how they make prototypes? none of them are EXACTLY the same. You're (hopefully) misunderstanding to make a dumb argument. How many times has Dr Doom tried to suck up someone's powers? How many times has Galactus come back to earth, muchless eaten another planet? How many times has Thanos tried to get sex from Death? How many times did Napolean try to beat up Europe? How many times did the Mongolians invade Europe? How many years has the Dragonlance book series existed? How many times have the ice zombies in ASoIaF fuck up Westeros? Literally thousands of examples of baddies trying again. But you make up excuses to ignore how pop culture mocked the 80s cartoon and all the examples of poor sales, but considering you're ignorant of history and all the mediai just listed, you're probably just a zoomer so you never knew about things like Toy Fare, Robot Chicken, Billy and Mandy, Community, thousands of internet memes, and sites dedicated to mocking 80s cartoon. so it didn't happen because you only started forming memories in 2015>You seem very fixated on this single issue nobody else cares about for some reason.Because it's a clear example of how little demand there was for cartoon accurate toys. One of the very few attempts by HAsbro for over 30 years, and this was directly to those of us who grew up with the GI Joe cartoon, when the line was in full force.Hasbro instead caters to the comic fans, because those figures were proven sellers. Pic of the second Kwinn figure
Cartoon ruled, the pulpy adventure nature of it really helped give it a lot of variety.
New Snake Eyes is nice
>>11748832>The shithead saying it was reviled is a lying fake ass fan who is making shit up.it was retarded and more than one person said that.
>>11749047yeah, i appreciate and understand what scioli did, but it's just not my thing. And a ton of people hated it. Personally, i don't even like Transformers in GI Joe.>>11748847>The DVD sets were notorious because they overproduced the first two setsthat's a nice way of saying "it sold poorly at stores"And i don't remember the later sets going for that much at the time.Because i was a poorfag back then andi would have bought it up when i saw them if they were going for 10x their MSRP. They were hard to get, but they definitely weren't going for $100-$200 when they were out.
>>11748940It isn't a bad figure at all. It just makes me feel jerked around by S7 while waiting for a black version. >>11748848Just because you don't like 80s cartoons doesn't mean that you speak for everyone. You don't. But your narrow worldview compels you to believe that your opinions are absolute facts.
Imagine being into G.I. Joe and outright hating one of the main things G.I. Joe is known and popular for.
>>11749138I don't get it. I understand that the comic books are more "hardcore" and shit, but the Sunbow cartoon was still great too. It was probably the only cartoon in the 80s that showed dead bodies, people melting, and other messed-up shit.
>>11749137NEver said i speak for everyone, and you're just shoving words into my mouth because you hate the fact that the 80s cartoon isn't as popular as some people in this thread want to believe it is and it shows with how popular media has shit on it for 40 years now.I mean, here you are defending the 80s cartoon, yet how many Super7 cartoon figures do you own?As a fan of the GI Joe comics, I bought most of Hasbro's comic pack figures for GI Joe, despite wanting to get out of buying o-ring figures in the 00s. As a fan of the original TMNT cartoon, i bought NECA's TMNT despite getting out of buying anything TMNT since the late 80s.Actual fans buy shit that they're fanboy for, so i think you have some pretty empty words, considering how these threads are so bare of any discussion for the cartoon toys. With fans like you, it's no wonder why Hasbro doesn't cater to cartoon fans, while giving so much to comic fans.pic contains the lengths i went to to get cartoon accurate TMNT and being a notalgiafag for GI Joe, along with other Hasbro properties.
>>11749151No cartoon outside of Japan is really popular now. That's the new norm. That doesn't mean that the Joe cartoon doesn't have a good strong fanbase. And I don't own any of their Ultimates. The whole deliberately-shitty females really put me off. I know there's mroe than women in the line but when a company deliberately does woke shit for a few, then it just puts me off to the whole thing. Shit's too expensive to be buying deliberately-ugly crap just to maintain a line. But I do have a couple of the smaller ones. Arctic Scarlett is actually better than the original 1982/1983 version. Lady Jaye's looking better than the original too. In some ways I like their version of the BAT and Snake Eyes more than the originals, but they just won't get the fucking colors right for easy money because they're being retards. And the cartoon toys are talked about constantly. Really anything 80s-derived is "cartoon toy."
My Mom bought me one as a child!
>>11749198Indeed.
>>11741056>>11741067>>11740486>>11739873I wish the Lifeline looked a tiny bit more like a regular Fire and Rescue guy since he's a random pick up. Most of the figures I am buying are to add to displays as civilians, I just really liked his look and gear. But now that you guys mentioned his head, I can't really unsee it. I have plenty of extra heads, I'm thinking now i will head swap him with someone else.
Lady Jaye is starting to show up on ebay.
Destro w/despoiler and the renegade two pack are supposedly going up for preorder in a couple of hours.
>>11748702>Super7's Ultimate line is dead, if not so unpopular that they've quit releasing shit to the point it's seemingly dead. Their 3.75" nostalgafag line is much more popular, because it's based on the toyline. But they couldn't fund that Cobra Mothership that appeared in the cartoon. Are we just ignoring that their ReAction line did multiple box sets referencing specific episodes and cartoon only designs?Additionally, their 3.5inch ReAction+ first wave was a mix of comic and cartoon designs but has since been 4 straight waves of cartoon designs with comics designs relegated to single releasesWave 2: 4 cartoon figureshttps://super7.com/products/g-i-joe-reaction-wave-2-ramar-fatal-fluffy-duke-cartoon-serpentor-cartoonWave 3 4 cartoon figureshttps://super7.com/products/g-i-joe-reaction-wave-03-cartoon-zartan-cold-slither-arctic-cobra-commander-wild-bill-snake-eyesWave 3: 3 cartoon figures + Movie 'was once a man' CChttps://super7.com/products/g-i-joe-reaction-wave-04-lt-falcon-jinx-cobra-la-movie-collectionhttps://super7.com/products/gi-joe-reaction-figures-cobra-commander-once-a-manWave 5: 4 cartoon designshttps://super7.com/products/g-i-joe-reaction-wave-05-movie-arctic-destro-artic-snake-eyes-big-lob-pythonaYou don't know shit about what you're trying to talk about

>>11749391>>11749388Looks like the slave crown Cobra has used to control an Indian doctor in one of the episodes.
>>11749388I do vaguely remember a comic book image of Baroness on the Cobra throne with a crown, but I also remember a similar one of CC as well.
>>11749409That actually is the closest I've seen. Makes no sense as a figure though.

Worst guess that I've seen so far, that I can actually see them doing. Its for Hooded cobra commander. They're going to make him like ML Zemo to try and break up the supposed kkk look.
>>11749391A crown for Golobulus?
Mistress Armada alone lets me know we’ll eventually get Dr Knox

>>11749533Yes, yes and yes (or at least the battle commanders Hawk)
>>11749464Not likely.
>>11749342Better image. Glad Scarlett is built like the retro. Hopefully the head comes out better this time.
And I thought the Serpentor set's price was bad. $110 for this guy stings. And while it does look good, I do feel like they missed the mark on this a bit, design got way too cleaned up. And I was really hoping they'd go all out on a new head sculpt that actually looked like a metal mask with the harsh angles, and maybe even vacuum chrome.
>>11749581It should. It's smaller than a Stinger with a figure while costing noticably more. Also new one's up:>>11749605
>>11749574I dig that render of the headsculpt quite a lot, hope it turns out like that.
>>11744024>>11748825Welp, so long anon
>>11749533We already got Basketball Joe and Football Jersey Joe, so yes I'd want Captain Gridiron (who was the leader of my Joes as a kid) and Hardball. >>11749574.....sigh, guess I'm getting more Ninja. >>11749581I don't mind the price as the Despoiler feels larger then the Sky Chariot, but I agree with the missed opportunity in the face. The least they could've done is added an alt head with a more solid masking looking face. Also, that sword looks awful.
>>11749151>>11749138>>11749148I think silly stuff should stay in the cartoons. doing it in a life action setting would make the whole thing a mockery. comics can straddle either side, but a more serious one has been generally more well received. live action sits somewhere between the second GI Joe movie and the mess that was Snake Eyes. If something like that but with the tone of Resolute was made it would be great.
>>11749188>No cartoon outside of Japan is really popular now ... That doesn't mean that the Joe cartoon doesn't have a good strong fanbase.are you retarded? There were THIRTY YEARS of where Hasbro didn't attempt to make any cartoon accurate toys for the toyline, because demand for the cartoon was so weak and Hasbro being embarassed of their show thanks to everyone making fun of it. When they did make the cartoon accurate toys, demand was incredibly weak. You literally can't call that a "good strong fanbase", especially when YOU don't buy any of their cartoon accurate toys.Whereas they had been constantly releasing comic book accurate toys for decades, even popular comic book cross overs like pic related. Dozens of figures like the Baroness were quickly made thanks to her popularity in the comic books. Hasbro directly made these figures, sold to the mass market in the children toy aisles in the millions, and not by niche collector toy companies who sell tens of thousands of figure>>11749341do you own any?Because nobody here seemingly cares about the cartoon, except to virtue signal, i forgot these even existed.

>>11749752There's room in the series for all of it from the cartoon stuff to the realistic to even the actual real-world stuff like realistic cops and marines. There's no "THE LINE MUST ONLY BE THIS ONE WAY THAT I LIKE" with Classified. And personally I enjoy it that way. So embrace the Zartan in yellow spandex pants!>>11749766Bush killed cartoons, bro. He passed that requirement that saturday mornings MUST be reserved for "educational programming," which is usually Black kids talking about marine life or some other shit. After that all you got left are Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, and Discovery Family. Now cartoons are as niche-market as comic books are. >>11749955Retro CC is one of my favorites. I don't care that it ended up overproduced to become a Ross clearance item. It's still cool.
>>11750190I always thought it was Clinton, as his reign that gave us Captain Planet and other thinly disguised public service cartoons.
>>11750297Captain Planet wasn't actually government mandated. It was a pet project of Ted Turner.
>>11750297>thinly disguised public service cartoons.GI Joe had that in the 80s. To hide the fact that it's an infomercial to sell toys, they tacked on "AND KNOWING IS HALF THE BATTLE" PSAs for kids.
>>11750190>Bush killed cartoonsWTF are you talking about? I'm talking about the HISTORY of kids and adult fans AVOIDING and MOCKING the 80s cartoon, thus the cartoon toys not being popular for over FORTY YEARS and the cartoon toys STILL being UNPOPULARWhat does a 1990s act have anything to do with the 80s cartoon being seen as a joke by nearly everyone? Because other 80s cartoons get way more love and nevermind GI Joe as a franchise remiained popular for nearly 40 years (it's struggling today, so it's not popular)BTW, Bush didn't do shit. He didn't even sign it into law because his adminstartion DISAGREED with it. The education programming act was another case of Democrats being Karens and knowing better than you. The fact that Bush was in charge during this time actually saved Saturday morning cartoons for another couple of years, which is why Fox Kids and WB Kids were able to make amazing cartoons for years still. Cartoons like Batman:TAs, Superman: TAS and retarded live action shows like Power Rangers flourishedGuess what actually killed cartoons? Bill Clinton and Democrats gaining more power in the late 90s. They required that THREE HOURS of educational material was produced every week, which meant less time for actual good cartoonsPLUS, Bill Clinton and Democrats was deregulating a whole mess of shit, which meant that one company could now own 550 television stations and 100 studios. Since a single company wants to be as efficient as possible, they start airing the same things, which meant that syndication was effectively killed, which meant even fewer cartoons could be created (GI Joe and He Man were syndicated cartoons, along with Exo Squad and many others). All those deregulations also allowed shit like Enron scamming everyone and today's mess of Disney owning everything to push DEI bullshitNevermind Democrat assholes like Joe Lieberman were making media less violent, so action cartoons became less popular>>11750326E/I cartoon
>>11750498>I'm talking about the HISTORY of kids and adult fans AVOIDING and MOCKING the 80s cartoon, thus the cartoon toys not being popular for over FORTY YEARS and the cartoon toys STILL being UNPOPULARTHAT is YOUR perspective, BRO. GI JOE and G1 TRANSFORMERS ran for YEARS on DISCOVERY Family, and DIDN'T end UNTIL two YEARS ago. You're once again doing that thing where you think your opinions are absolute facts. And Bush was a democrat disguised as a republican, aka a "RINO" (republican in name only). He's shown that much clearly in his time since leaving office. He's another globalist asset, and it shows with the way he "combatted Islamic terror" by importing millions of them "to prove we're not being racist."
>>11750889>THAT is YOUR perspectiveThat isn't my perspective.Yes, the cartoon it ran for years and years, but the fact is that POPULAR MEDIA like Robot Chicken, Toy Fare, Billy and Mandy, Fox Trot, Community, Small Soldiers, Mad Magazine, Family Guy, those popular PSA parodies, the GI Joe comic, Futurama, and a hundred million other shows/magazines/websites all mock how bad the GI Joe cartoon was.I didn't make these, these were all made from a hundred million different creators around the globe. And you're ignoring the fact that Hasbro themselves distanced themselves from the animated series, hence doing jack shit with it for decades and even when they tried to cater for the few animated fanboys, it sold poorly. And again, even YOU ignore the cartoon toys.If there were a lot of fans, the animated toys wouldn't be such poor sellers. You know that the 80s cartoon isn't popular when the Devils Due comics and the failed Renegades cartoon got more toys, the latter having very popular figures.NONE of this is MY perspective, this is literally you and millions of other people's perspective.BTW, your you don't seem to know shit about politics, just like you don't know shit about American popular culture from 1983 - 2022.
>>11751831The Joe cartoon is hugely popular. I have non collectors friends that still talk but it.
>>11751841>everyone makes fun of filipinos for being small because their average height is 5'2" but i have filipino friends who are 5'9"Good for you for having friends who talk about original GI Joe cartoon, but it still doesn't change the fact that popular culture has been mocking it for 40 years straight and anytime someone makes toys based on the original cartoon it keep on failing, because of how few fans it actually has.You know what has supportive fans and enjoyed years of success as a subline to the GI Joe toyline... twice?
>>11751856Popular culture isn't mocking it.
