Anyone have experience with Joytoy? Are their products any good?
Anyone happen to own any of the other KoF figures they did?
>>
Their ninja turtles are nice and they managed to release a good wide variety of characters in a pretty short period of time.

I don’t think the KOF stuff came out yet. Their Tmnt and warhammer stuff is pretty good though. I can’t complain other than on price, they’re kind of expensive but you usually get a lot of accessories at least.
>>
>>11738943
They're good... but for their price they have paint slop.
>>
They used to have a lot of problems with joints (legs falling off etc) but they're pretty good now. I own a lot of their stuff, mostly 40k. I have Leona Heidern from the KoF line and she's good.

the Warhammer 40k thread is dead due to all the problems people have had with Joytoy's figures.
Used to be one of the most popular threads on /toy/ from 2022 til 2024 and now maybe 5 people post there in a month.

Problems with brittle plastic, pieces not being glued, scale problems, paint problems, molding issues. Everything and anything to do with quality control. Typical Chinese products.

I own currently 4 Warhammer figures, and 3 of them have paint QC. Two of my Black Legion figures have awful paint apps. The shoulder joints are also small and are ratchet joints, which feel scary like they'll break easy. I also have a Sterngard Veteran and he has QC involving his paint wash and some paint splatter around an eye. Another issue I have is that some of the accessories make no sense. So you'll get holsters with sculpted in pistols that don't match the pistol that comes with the figure. You'll then get an empty pistol holster you can swap on, but it's a different style holster than the one with the sculpted in pistol, rendering it kind of pointless.

I will say I overall enjoyed the figures despite those issues, which may have been improved upon with other releases. The McFarlane Xenos also scale OK with them, which is a positive.

All toys are chinese product you imbecile. They are only "made" in America or Japan on paper.
>>
>>11739069
Yeah the paint looked a little iffy on the site.
>>11739129
I'm hoping they scale well with my figma Iori and Kyo. I think they might be tiny comparatively
>>
>>11739429
I think the Joytoy might be tiny compared to the Figmas, not the other way if that wasn't clear.
>>
>>11739399
you are arguing with subby
>>
>>11738943
Decent toyline, I have a fair few of them and I like them a lot. Generally very ambitious paintjobs for the price which sometimes can be a bit hit and miss with QC but on the whole good. Their older (pre-40K) stuff is a QC crapshoot, since the 40K line they've majorly improved and are generally good quality, especially for the prices.
>>
>>11739429
These are "1/18". IIRC they are oversized for that scale, but they are still going to be tiny, like 10-11cm tall.
>>
>>11739796
that sucks, I get them wanting to make them a different scale from competitors so you need to buy only their series and can't mix match, but it still sucks.
>>
Doesn't Storm Arena have a line that's 1/12 for like half the price?
>>
>>11740154
yeah
but but its storm, so good luck getting a full roster or even the figures they show off for years
>>
>>11739399
>made in china for chinese market: poor quality
>made in china for western companies who sell their products in american/japanese/european markets: mostly good to great
And just because you can buy them in the west doesn't mean they're made for the western market. Chinese companies like Hiya have been buying western license, releasing their products and have official distributors in the west for well over a decade. Unsurprisingly their products are actually high quality.

Whereas companies like Joytoy didn't have the western license for popular stuff like Warhammer for years and only stores that shipped overseas or importers carried the line. Unsurprisingly, they had bad quality. Once they got the western license and got official distributors, their quality remained pretty poor because they're still clueless on making a quality product. So it may take years for them to figure out what good actually means.

Just ignore him. He's only here to derail the thread because it's about toys he personally doesn't like. Just watch, he'll claim he's actually doing us a service and call anyone who finds him annoying "shills" or "third worlders" or "zoomers" or whatever his latest hobby horse is. Either that or start making dog noises.

>He's only here to derail the thread because it's about toys he personally doesn't like.
It's completely the opposite.
Because i personally like series like WH40k and Joytoy made figures for it, the problems i've come across need to be brought to public notice, to warn other fans about this problem and let the company know they've fucked up.
Obviously, most people experienced these problems, hence the WH40k thread being a ghost town.

See pic? This is my own figure, where Joytoy fucked up the production process and not cutting away the excess flash properly. This made the joint too tight and can cause the already brittle plastics to break easier. But Joytoy is too cheap to spend an extra nickel on quality control and this is seen with many other for-Chinese market toylines.

There's a lot of shit i actually don't like and i won't say shit about them, because who gives a shit. I'll only talk about it if it's brought up to me. For example, i ahven't said shit about OP's KoF figures not having faithful sculpts. Shameful such nice designs get such poorly sculpted figures, but since i haven't played that series since forever ago, who cares.

Stay mad because youre triggered over my having personal experience with many more toylines than you.

>made in china for chinese market
The premise is already wrong so I ignored the rest of your babble. All chinese toys are made for the world to consume. All of them have fuck ups one way or another. /pol/cels like you are so moronic.

>the problems i've come across need to be brought to public notice, to warn other fans about this problem and let the company know they've fucked up.
And sure enough, like clockwork he pretends he's doing a public service by shitting up any thread that mentions JoyToy. Pathetic.
>>
>>11740954
He's also calling WH40K a "series."
His whole post is filled with weird gibberish and off phrasing. It's bizarre. It's like an alien or a primitive AI trying to impersonate a human.
>>
>>11740954
>OP asks for people's experience about Joytoy's figures and if their products are any good
>two anons come into the thread to call people liars and that they're shitting the thread up if they post any negative experiences with Joytoy's toylines
And no one is allowed to call you a shill, because you called it ahead of time that someone would describe your actions as suspiciously shill like?

Pic is from when the WH40k General wasn't dead. It's how stores are given extra parts by Joytoy to hand out if anyone complains about their toys breaking, because the know how brittle their plastics are. Instead of Joytoy switching to more durable plastics plastics, they find it cheaper just to give out entire baggies of joints.
An all too common problem.

I recently bought an Ultramarine and it looks pretty good. I have no issues with the paint, but then I only got it in the last few days, so maybe I was lucky or they've improved them a bit.
