This wave has single handedly turned my opinion of 4H's Dwarves right around. I always felt they were the most boring figures because they all had so many shared parts, but even just adding a single set of new limbs to the mix is enough to make em feel far more varied. It also helps they have so many unique face sculpts. This is the only wave I've ever gone all in on, and I am very happy I did.

I'm kind of pissed he is showing up everywhere already, yet the actual official company hasn't even started shipping as far as I can tell. This keeps happening with companies and I don't understand, it's consistently the slowest option to actually buy directly from the makers.
>>
So they revealed the Evil Paladin set early, and not surprisingly....it's just a repaint of the good Paladin. But at least it's a repaint of the SDCC good paladin, so that means it has soft goods and armor underneath. Sadly...it's a repaint of the SDCC Paladin so it's a $60 figure. It's nice it has multiple heads, but I'm honestly not feeling it. Mainly because it is just the SDCC Paladin in different colors and slightly different, but not at all different, gear. Just feels underwhelming as a reveal.

I'm personally 0 for 3 on actually liking the unlocked characters. The Vamp/Boarrior set is too expensive as an army builder to bother with and the other two are just boring repaints with nothing really unique about them to make em interesting. The least they could've done with the Paladin is use the evil pauldrons or something, as is he's too boring of a repaint to care about. A new molded helmet would've also gone a long way with this guy as well, but I guess it's nice he gets the removable helmet option.

I can only assume it's a case of retailers being able to process a figure faster then a company that may not be used to shipping action figures. Hopefully they start going out soon, I need more Conans for my collection,

I'm still getting through my all in, but the dwarf pack is probably the most impressive thing so far. My only complaint about it was the complete lack of alt hands, which I had to double check the pics from when it was announced to see if it was a factory fuck up where they forgot to include them, but nope, that's all they ever showed. I also put the bonus head on Bothar Shadowhorn from All Star 6 and it gives that old clunker 1000% more personality.
Neve was a surprise too. The way the spikes on her pauldrons shift colour to purple depending on how the light hits them was jaw dropping.
Biggest letdown of the wave is either Diis Paatar or Yoshinai Kari, who are both really fiddly and not very fun to handle. Diis's extra spider arms are annoying to deal with, and Yoshinai's scabbards are a pain in the ass.
I still have Yakotaur, the mounts, and Attlus and Skapular left to open. I forgot to follow up last thread, but yeah, Skapular is getting saved for last.

I'm kind of annoyed they've forgotten the whole "cheap figures with upgrade kits" angle they started this campaign with. I'm not buying multiple $60 figures, but I would have bought a few of these at $30 and an upgrade pack.
>The least they could've done with the Paladin is use the evil pauldrons or something
They have so many different pauldrons now, it's baffling why they would use the exact same ones while trying to push how swappable all the parts are. The ones from Poxxus and Thorasis would have been great.

>>11740567
I like the colors, but it's nothing I need. I just want my sexy furry Ranger and I'm good.
>>
>>11739219
wish I had some of those storm skeletons. why do they hate money.
>>
>>11741597
This might be nitpicking from my part, but I think the Golden Axe skeletons needed neck articulation, I hate how they can't look up at all or barely tilt their heads. Solid figures though, at least based on the reviews I saw; if I ever get one I think I'll modify it to give it neck movements.

I managed to get two sets when they first came out and I'm relatively happy with them, but as >>11741674 points out they're not really perfect. They feel like bigger versions of the old Revol skeletons with slightly less, but far sturdier joints. Didn't realize they were hard to come by these days, but I did get them years ago so I guess they're long out of stock. BBTS has a pair of bloody samurai versions on sale right now I've been tempted to pick up. They're basically just the standard Storm Skeletons with some extra gear, some red paint and a bad hair cut. But seeing any kind of Storm skeleton on sale gives me pause considering how bad their Dead Frame skeletons came out.
>>
>>11742054
From what I know, it was only the Dead Frames that had the fucked joints.
I still haven't broken mine. I worked the fuck out of the swivels with hot water when I pulled them from the packet, so fingers crossed they last.
I haven't heard of the Getsu Fuma Den skellies having that issue. I'm not sure why they sold poorly. Maybe people were hesitant after the Dead Frames. Maybe because they are also really gory, and the intestines hanging out put some people off. Maybe it was just the dorky haircuts.
>>
>>11742054
I pulled the trigger on the dead frames and breathed a sigh of relief when I gave em a go because I had no problems.
I've got some of those KeepGoing skeletons on order, hope they turn out ok.
Have one of the palm elf skeletons and while it looks fantastic, it's die cast so is too gangly to play with.
Sidenote but I also love the Heninger & Long Moan two pack (aside from the hands flying off). They fit with XesRay stuff as well.
>>
>>11742054
>>11742243
If they didn't have those retarded strands of hair in their skull I might've bought the GetsuFumaDen skeletons. But that's the game's design so nothing Storm could do about it.
>>
>>11741674
It's definitely not a nitpick. The two big flaws I find with it are that lack of neck range, and the soft hands/gripping hand design.
>>11742243
I wish I had picked up the GFD samurai kit when there were Chinese sellers parting them out. Might have actually taken my second Golden Axe skelly out of the box, then.

>>Elric is on the water now, expected to arrive early April
I stopped keeping track of the things I've had one preorder because every single one has had a 4 month to upwards of a year delay but man, the final figure looks great

I am going to be cheeky and post a non-fantasy character here because I miss talking with you guys. I just got my Rhea Ripley (got her the other day but she was missing a foot so had to wait for a replacement) and she's a really cool figure. I don't actually buy wrestling figures, but I like Rhea and I just thought her look in this gear had an almost 80s fantasy vibe to it, so I bought her for that reason. I had low expectations, but I'm really impressed with the articulation and feel, the details are excellent. Also her mask fits on my other fantasy characters which I'm sure will lead to some cool kitbashing in the future.

I also, finally, got myself some cheapish display cases and I am super happy with how they've turned out. Also also, I think I'm going to bite the bullet on John Carter...

>>11742680
Yeah he's looking really nice, I'm hoping you guys who ordered him get a nice Elric.
>>
>>11742879
Minus the axe, she comes like that in the box?
>>
>>11742903
Yeah. When I watched that Survivor Series I thought she looked like some cheesy 80s villainess so I was chuffed when I saw they were making a figure out of it.

Size comparison. She has a ball at the waist and at the diaphragm, which is better than most WWE figs. The butterflies are ok, nothing special, just single ball for the head with really limited movement. Drop down legs with pretty nice range, double knees and elbows, bicep swivel, thigh swivel that is perfectly hidden behind the straps, boot cut, ankle rocker plus hinge and toe articulation, hands are just horizontal hinges.

>>11742879
Alexa Bliss is still my fav female in the Ultimate line and for so long she was only like $12 on Amazon. The first Elite Tiffany Straton was ok, but the second TiffyTime as an Ultimate was def an improvement.

Tonight I was able to order Rising Sons Neve off of BBTS so I consider today a good day until I can get the traveling Legendary female barbarian.
>>
>>11742879
>I just thought her look in this gear had an almost 80s fantasy vibe to it
If you hadn't said anything, I would have been asking who the barbarian minx is.
>>
>>11742358
You're one lucky anon, from what I read here, the Dead Frame skeletons were a QC nightmare, with most of the posts complaining about something being broken right out of the box.
They look visually cool though, I'll give them that.

That outfit does look good and it fits in. I skip like 99% of the women's shit so I never saw this outfit. I don't know, man, the women's wrestling looks so phoned in. I just can't get into it.

I'm with you, all of wrestling now is circling the drain, no storylines, no gimmicks, no characters, half the roster are indie jobber midgets etc. I do like Rhea, even though she sucks as a face and has basically no character anymore so her promos are trash. Her, Jade, Jordynn Grace, Sol Ruca and a couple of the NXT girls are basically the only ones that can look the part as a wrestler, I just wish most of the other women went back to participating in soap opera like storylines, brought back some of the diva stuff, interacted with the men. They don't all have to be equivalent wrestlers just because there is a proper division now.

Meh anyway, getting the figure in hand made me go all nostalgic and I went down memory lane looking at old Simon Bisley paintings. I wonder if anyone else will do what Icon Collectibles and Savage Crucible are doing with Frazetta Art, with other fantasy artists? I'd absolutely love a Bisley Slaine series (Eamon of FG has mentioned he would want to do that one day) or a Paul Bonner dwarves and beasties line. Any fantasy artists you guys would like to see immortalised in action figure form?

So 4H revealed their final "announced" Stretch Goal figure add on and....I don't even know what the hell is going on here. It's a "Deluxe" character pack that turns the Skeleton Thief into some sort of vampire book mage rogue...thing? You get the head, the arms, legs up to the boots the torch and books on a chain....to make that. On paper, the parts you get feel worth it, but the final product just does not work well at all.

When they called it a Loremaster, I was expecting some sort of wizard, but this thing looks like the leftovers from my parts bin thrown together. It's honestly amazing how unimpressive ALL of their stretch goal figures turned out.

>>11742358
I'm legit glad you got lucky, as >>11743054 said, a lot of people, myself included, had no luck with them right out the box. I had pieces sheer clean off with almost no force, some joints were glued in place off and other parts would snap just by standing em up. I managed to franken-fix most of the broken bits, but I don't really fiddle with them anymore. They do work well in my glass cabinet full of figures I don't plan to mess with though.

>>11742662
The hair and the bloody paint are the only things holding me back. The guts are also a bit much, but they're removable so not that big of a deal.

>>11742680
I'm excited for him, even got him a nice big black chair to brood on. Will share pics when he's in hand.

>>11742879
>>11742984
>>11743000
Awesome find. I haven't been keepin up with 'rasslin in many years, but they've always had some great looks that could easily fit with fantasy figures. And more Snusnu is never a bad thing.

>>11743023
It's honestly kind of absurd how similar the Warrior and Neve are, they're essentially the same figure with different head and belt. But with how good Neve turned out, I absolutely want to hunt down the Warrior...and her accompanying head pack.
