Where to buy
>GSC Online Shop - some figmas only are available through their online shop
>Amiami - usual place for buying, to some people, shipping is a bit higher due to packaging
>Hobby Link Japan shipping is usual lower, but their prices are a bit higher, private warehaouse is available
>Hobby Search Japan - items stay in stock the longest
>Mandarake - search figma or フィグマ
>eBay/Amazon - only if you hate having too much money. Avoid bootlegs, you can spot them as 'Chinese version'
>http://jungle-scs.co.jp/ - Seems like you can fine some good deals here
>Check the BST threads (if they ever comeback), My Figure Collection for any offer/deal

Here's a link to the buyfag guide list of shops:

If you're getting into the hobby, there's plenty of other useful information to find on the wiki.

In case someone is interested in the printable backdrops/dioramas & other papercraft stuff that Max Factory have in the download section of their site:

here is a back up, Enjoy!

Short illustrated posing guide by Max Factory
>http://ameblo.jp/figma/entry-11564427757.html (in moonrunes)
The S shape is always good advice though. The basic idea is that straight lines tend to look stiff.

Tomytec's 1 inch scale section (1/12 stuff, little armory, vehicles and others)

For 3rd party accesories/diorama pieces just look for 1/12 stuff (for other scales just ask in the thread)

Paper instruction manuals will be discontinued in products shipped from May onwards, online manuals will manuals will be used instead.
https://www.goodsmile.com/en/news/6748

Reminder: if you want GSC to make something you need to tell them you want it (they'll probably ignore you anyways)
https://support.goodsmile.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

keep it figma related, ignore the brandwar schizos trying to derail the thread

And fuck the autosage

I get it. But still, SOUL LESS.
>>

i'm surprised they went ahead with the release

How taller will be Figma Frieren?
I ordered the SHF reissue.
Sadly both dont have the smug face from the potion scene.

How much cents will be saved?
>>

>Paper instruction manuals will be discontinued in products shipped from May onwards, online manuals will manuals will be used instead.
That's honestly a little jarring.
>>
>>11741332
>How taller will be Figma Frieren?
We don't know because product specifications aren't always faithful in my experience.
But SHF Frieren is listed as 120mm, while Figma is listed as 137mm.
SHF Himmel is listed as 140mm, and Figma Himmel is listed as 158mm.
So 17-18mm of difference between the two lines if said specifications are accurate. So I'd grab a ruler and a figure of yours, and see how much 18mm of difference really is to the naked eye.
But SHF Himmel being just slightly bigger than Figma Frieren is a pretty funny idea.
>>
>>11741368
>18mm
thats like ~3/4 of an inch so its a pretty noticeable difference visually
>>
>>11741373
I'm inclined to agree, but I don't want to impose. Some people are less annoyed by it than others. Personally, I'm sticking with the SHF as main line and tempted to get the Figma as well. But I probably won't mix and match them. A Himmel that is nearly as tall as a Frieren feels off.
Buzzmod 2b and Figuarts 2b were (allegedly) 145mm and 150mm respectively, and I already considered that a pretty big difference. Thankfully, the Figma were in the similar 150mm range, maybe slightly over.
>>
>>11741376
I guess Maxfactory Fern because she would end be a traffic cone or full soft goods with a "chubby" body
>>
>>11741384
She could really be either. I expected Frieren to have soft goods, but she didn't. Fern might not have any either (if they make her), or she may be a curveball and be fully soft goods.
>>
>>11741363
Not that I care about the instructions or actually referenced them frequently but is there any corner they are not trying to cut? It’s actually pissing me off especially after the shit in the last survey. They really want to have the highest price possible with the lowest quality possible.
>>
>>11741394
>fully soft goods
that would be $300 thank you
>>
>>11741577
Isn’t soft goods actually cheaper/easier than getting molds? That’s why third party slop is usually full soft goods with barely any sculpted parts

>>
>>11741635
Then why frieren has 2 lower part instead of soft goods?
>>
>>11742338
I got it last summer just before the prices went up and I'm sure I actually saved money when compared to the new prices rereleases have.
>>
>>11742338
So glad I held out. It just didn't seem feasible for them not to take advantage of Global's success and rerelease her. Looking forward to finally getting her.
>>
>>11742311
Didn't they release a poll specifically asking people what umas they'd want?
>>
Fuck Shitgma!
>>
>>11742344
I don’t think figma uses that much soft goods in general. Even if soft goods is cheaper (I think it is but I could be wrong), they’re not going to make everything soft goods because that would go against their design language.

>>11742311
>>11742317
Why is a reissue limited? Is that normal? Might try getting into Uma then see if I want her
>>
>>11742344
>>11742476
I think soft goods isn't necessarily less expensive or more, but it just requires accommodating. If you have historically not worked with soft goods a lot, it means that if you start integrating a lot of it all of a sudden, that will need employees that are able to do the work.
>>
>>11742476
I’ve only seen different characters sing Tracen Ondo and a video comparing Goldship’s seiyuu voice acting and singing skills, and those things alone have piqued my interest even if just for the goofy horse girl Gold Ship. I actually bought the figma Gold Ship to potentially use for a custom but now I might get a second just because the character’s grown on me.
>>
>>11742411
really? when? where?
>>
>>11742585
Might mean the general figma poll last month? I requested more umas then so I assume others did too.

It wasn't explicitly a figma poll, but they were included in the options. Personally, I voted for figma Haru. I woud have voted Rice, but she's already got the shf.
>>
>>11743223
I feel like it's got to just be some complexities with negotiating the licensing or something. I was shocked we didn't get a Dawn and Cynthia with the BDSP remakes. Seemed like a no-brainer at the time.
>>
>>11743254
But we got iconic characters such as that one gym leader from galar and the chicken girl who nobody remembers the real name of

those gym leaders are to this day still quite popular
