Why does Takara always have to come in to fix Hasbro’s slop?

Wish they used the animation model head though since the rest of the body is designed that way.

Holy shit I was literally just about to pull the trigger and buy G2 Shadowstrip and Dead End for aftermarket prices when I see this. Guess I'll just wait
>>
>>11742259
>What is this? Another Menasor pack or just the toy-deco one they did a few years ago?
Looks like they're releasing the full G2 Menasor all at once. Y'know, to fuck over everyone who bought the other G2 Stunticons as they released and were just waiting on Wildrider and Motormaster to finish him off.
>>
>>11742267
It's part of New Legends, ergo, Generations Selects. They might add two options between individual releases or a box set with some bonuses. If this could mean the extra armor he got in Zone as exclusive to his box set, I'm all up for it.
>>
>>11742267
Yeah, kinda sucks for those people. Maybe they'll release Wildrider and Motormaster on their own or this will have different decos than the Toxitron capsule ones. I only ever got G2 Breakdown since I wasn't paying 150 for the original until the recent reissue. Was thinking of picking up Dead End and Dragstrip but I guess I'll hold off now and just get the set.
I only got Breakdown since I wasnt paying 150
>>
Note: Hasbro's "Shadowstrip" doesn't have the G2 symbol on the front.
This isn't just Takara releasing the final g2 Stunticons ahead of Hasbro, they're making their own premium G2 decos.
>>
>>11742252
cause you people complain about Hasbro prices, let alone Takara ones. If Takara sold better they wouldn't give into brand synergy and let Hasbro take the wheel on most of the releases production.
>>
>>11742275
Maybe that's why they called him Shadowstrip rather than G2 Dragstrip since they didnt give him the G2 Decepticon logo like the others (for some reason)
>>
>>11742255

Well, this explains the random Stunticon cameo in the legends manga. Gives us some idea of what the next few releases might be.
Delta Magnus is almost a guarantee.
>>11742282
He's also called Shadowstrip in Japan. The next manga chapter is probably going to explain it better since it's going to revisit the Speedia 500.

I'm guessing it's either prototype colours or maybe Lifeline

Assuming it's not just Missing Link Delta Magnus, I guess a SS86 Recolor although really it should be the Kingdom one to match the original Power Convoy gimmick with the inner robot although Shattered Glass kinda already did that

>Assuming it's not just Missing Link Delta Magnus,
It's a little hard to see since he doesn't get a full shot, but the manga has Delta Magnus based specifically on SS86 Magnus, along with red Legacy Beachcomber as his Powered Buggy.
This is either the next Legends release or Sakamoto is trolling us.
>>
>>11742292
I also realized one thing: The Toxitron Collection and the final Deluxe wave of Legacy United were skipped in Japan (also costing them Armada Wheeljack as a result), meaning they planned on releasing the whole G2 Menasor from the start. They could release Wildrider and Motormaster solo as an option, but you might miss out on maybe some extras from the complete set.

Takara hasn't fixed shit, they literally have a hand in this shit. So many shit designs have been joint efforts by both hasbro and takara designers. Reminder thst you faggots choked down those horrible ER mold multipacks just because takara put them in boring tooner colors.
All they're doing is putting sprinkles on a bunch of turds.

Not even just that, but MPG, entirely their own line, has been back-to-back dogshit since its inception. So many awfully designed figures for absurd prices, then they shit out an upsized ER prime that looks just as bad and you pigs throw your faces back in the trough.
Fuck, the overgear figures are LEADERS.

The vocal minority always tend to scream the loudest. More people knew enough to like her for what she represents (a celebration of the 250th anniversary of the country) rather than attach their personal grudge against the person who currently holds the Presidential office (whom this has nothing to do with) and project their infinite seething onto her. As I understand it, even people from outside of the country want her, so it's definitely just one or two autists screaming into the void about her being "a mistake" rather than the universal sentiment.

main issue to me is there's no established look for wendigos. I'm a big monster buff and I tend to just aggressively exclude any that refuse to have a specific look.. even though I know I could make up my own, but if I'm gonna do that, I'm gonna give it an original name and premise.
and not tryin to rag on tribal folks or anything, but it does seem like their monsters are the ones with the least visual descriptions.

>>11742332
here i thought they'd be like, 2007 leaders.
>>11742342
plus like, I mean, the american flag is not red, white, light blue, and dark blue. so it's already a little bit 'walmart' so it can kinda be any country you want. you can focus on the light blue and white, make her a kosher bird. You could change the orders of the red white and blue and she can be a french bird. It's versatile, and just looks nice.
>>
>>11742341
>rather than attach their personal grudge against the person who currently holds the Presidential office (whom this has nothing to do with) and project their infinite seething onto her.
TDS means you think about the bad orange man and seethe constantly, at any given moment, even while claiming you don't want to. We even saw it play out in the last thread.
Star Eagle will be the second bot I pick up this year purely to spite a segment of crybaby fans online, the other being Nexus.
>>
>>11742380
in fairness to those people, when something is deliberately engineered to evoke a reaction in the audience, regardless of the means used, it's not shocking that it'd be effective. the dumb part is they haven't figured it out yet. They just really think the news is real, rather than a reality show with paid actors.

Gonna have to partially carry the pretender “shell” with making it part cybernetic, but the guy inside will have a single feather on his head that flips up, and yeah I think the monsters being rather less described is usually off of “We can’t agree” and “Bad luck to talk about them”. The main Wendigo look came from Wendigo 2001 while Until Dawn honors the more traditional description (aka feral man), Personally I’m going with the Wendigo 2001 version since its more in line with the beastman pretenders and it’s also harder to make a robot hiding in a shell of a feral nigga as scary as making it a cyborg man deer thing (skeleton). Hopefully you can see where I’m coming from here

Also mainly chose the wendigo/heyahoya theming off of multiple levels of irony or inception of a transforming robot that disguises in a skin layer wearing something that in lore is a disguising thing that acts robot that wears your skin, and due to “autobot wants to wear your scrap” being spooky

MPG-17 is what I've wanted from MP for ages. I'm glad Takara is returning to making premium quality, toy-first designs that are actually fun to play with and don't spike your blood pressure to even pick up. MP being slave to shitty low-budget animation cels has led to so many hopelessly compromised figures over the last decade. Really felt like your only options were either shelf-queen tooner MPs or budget-choked CHUGs.
The robot grille being chromed diecast was unexpectedly nice, and he's got some of the best light piping I've ever seen.

If a genie gave you these four options, which two would you choose?

1. Takara produces a Masterpiece Animated line. The main show cast is released over 6ish years, all with near magic wizardry level engineering to be perfectly screen accurate in both modes (minus the unavoidable panel lines, of course)

2. Takara produces a Masterpiece Armada line. The first 10 bots/cons (everyone up to sideways and scavenger, pretty much) are produced mostly faithfully to their show designs, although they actually feature spring-loaded/light and sound minicon gimmicks.

3. Hasbro announces a buzzworthy style 'exclusives' line, except entirely focusing on toy-only characters from the original bayverse trilogy toylines, updating them to modern studio series standards.

4. Hasbro revives the classic cyberverse 'micro play' play pattern with a cross-series multiverse story. Small, legion class figures interacting with larger voyager/leader size playsets and such, except with a legacy-style handful of characters from across different series. Like animated bulkhead showing up with AOE crosshairs.

5. Hasbro releases a new transformers movie that is promoted well, does well in theaters, and has a toyline that can rival the original movie toylines.

6. Hasbro gets some Chinese developer to make a transformers hero shooter. The gameplay is fine and the game is popular enough to receive funding and support for like 7 years but the designs are basically impossible to make toys of, and they sell a g1 Optimus prime skin for 20$.

Plastic quality is the same as any other tf figure.

It's funny how one of the best Optimus Prime toys of all time dropped, and it's probably the one the fandom spent the most time malding over just because it's not accurate to anything. I'm stoked his truck mode actually has dual wheels in the drives/tags for once.

Looks sick as fuck in that pic. I'd have bought it, but I'm holding out hope that he's pre-tooled as the core bot for an MPG Ultra Magnus, and that we'll get a Delta Magnus repaint. The mold would go so hard in blue/black/silver, with delicious yellow eyes.
>>
Is Quick Strike worth $30 CAD, prices are going up and I don't know what the quality is like for things anymore
>>
>>11743534
Shame the truck mode is ass.
>>
>>11743566
Nah, truck mode is tight. It actually saves itself by being stylized instead of cosplaying as a Freightliner COE. I don't care that it isn't "accurate" to anything. It looks like a cool toy/anime/sci-fi truck, and still manages to have more realistic truck proportions than 99% of Optimus Primes.

MPG has ushered in the era of Toychads. Tooners and licensed vehicle shitters need not apply.

>>

>Tight
>With visible thighs and feet that look even worse because they are somehow more obvious
I know they wanted the open wheel look but they could've saved it by making the feet into rear fenders.
>>
>>11743572
>It looks like a cool toy/anime/sci-fi truck
This is why I was a big fan of Prime's Siege truck mode. People made fun of the tacked on bits that were obviously just there to distinguish it from the inevitable Earth mode retool, but I thought it actually gave him some character and made him stand out from just about every G1-styled optimus since the Classics/Henkei mold.

It looks like some truck you'd see in the background of an 80's anime OVA or something, and I definitely get similar vibes from the MPG, if a bit less overt.
>>
>>11743605
>making the feet into rear fenders.
Nah. I'm glad they didn't. That would have just introduced uneccessary complexity. I'm tired of MPs where every limb explodes into a fractal of panels just so it can try to hide away robot parts in vehicle mode. The feet are stylized enough that I don't mind them being visible. This isn't a real truck. It's a fantasy truck, and they leaned into that enough that I'm not going to nitpick where it isn't accurate to real trucks.

While I didn't care for it on Optimus, I loved it for Nemesis. Weird alien scifi space truck just works for him, and the holes on the top of his cab ended up[ being the perfect place to stick those big guns he came with.
>>
>>11743572
Any Optimus truck mode that has exposed thighs, something that even the G1 toy didn't have, is shit in my book.

I too enjoy scifi vehicles, though I think part of what makes 'robots in disguise' work is that it's a real vehicle.. but it's okay if this takes place in the future and he has other futurepals to fit in with.

Not really, the obvious thighs are more jarring to me and this new Prime only needed some panels to hide them well enough but they just didn't bother.
>>
>>11743730
I should mention that the worst part about it, is that those parts can't even be swapped with a Siege Optimus because for the Siege release, all of them were red to match the torso and arm colors. The newest release of the Siege mold will likely also match those parts to Optimus primary color (blue for those energon releases Walmart will put out).

I'm not sure what direction you're seeing that makes you say this when mimicking IRL vehicles is the entire original point of Diaclone.

Anyone here know the best options for an alternate 86 Optimus head? All the one's I've seen ao far are either comically expensive for what you get, or bundled with Megatron arms that I don't want.
>>
>>11743751
this is why I think Diaclone should have remained what transformers is. with Microchange on the side, for people who want sentient robots in disguise. Because the idea of a taskforce driving real vehicles that turn into WEAPONS PLATFORMS AND EQUIPMENT (not always proper mechs, many don't have legs or heads or anything) is badass, and the idea of sentient alien robots who happen to be tiny on our planet, hiding in plain sight as microscopes and cassette players and guns is fucking hilarious and fun for any kid.

Do anything but Transmetals, basically. For that, it's either run the risk of GPS due to metallic plastics being a common victim, or flaking chrome, which they no longer do nowadays.

On a different note, Adamas Machina Predaking is coming out one by one, so hopefully the scale adjustment is worth twice the Power of the Primes version.

That's Japan's problem. They skipped out on the Toxitron Collection and the final wave of Legacy United, and that led to them making the full G2 Menasor as one full set. They could just sell Motormaster and Wildrider for the markets that got the final wave, but they have to find a way to release Armada Wheeljack (I have a feeling it's part of the package refresh lineup near the end of the year).

youd think they'd have cured one or both of those by now.

but they've also probably done some research and realized that people A) don't really love the original transmetals as-is, B) aren't super cool with you making big changes, and C) won't be happy if you just skip to TM2s despite them being better

Add in the fact that each one has to be a semi triple-changer, and they're a hard sell.

Basically, shit like this is what the Selects line was meant for, but because so much of the line went to clearance, Hasbro cut back on the line and moved the obscure redecos to store exclusive lines so they could cover the costs.
Only stores aren't ordering exclusives like they used to so now these redecos are being tossed around from toyline to toyline as wave filler.

>>11743952
Yep, and I'd like to remind everyone that the last few selects releases are all dinosaurs.

Why don't more Bayverse Megatrons have the hand-flail?
>>
>>11744078
probably because a flail is objectively a terrible weapon. Even if you can swing it around in a circle to build up speed (which this obviously can't), you can't even come close to the amount of kinetic energy you'd have behind it, were it simply a rigid pole e.g. a mace.
Basically we never improved on the stick. Flails just LOOK cool

now you might be thinking "wait, I've seen effective weapons swinging over their heads" and that was David's sling. See with a sling, you HAVE to let go of the projectile at some point, you have no choice. So at that point, yeah. the 'swirl it around real fast' technique is the best you have. And with a little divine help, you too can slay acromegalic french dudes.

it's all packaged with the frame commander character, and nexus isn't the frame commander.

The first time I transformed him, I thought I messed something up and was about ready to pop a pin out because I couldn't reveal his head again.
But, I've learned, as long as you sit his head in just so, everything will work correctly. Ive probably flipped him back and forth 10 times now, and there's no nose chippage yet.
My biggest problem with him, actually, is that his backpack gets all in the way during transformation, and it's easier to just take it off and reattach at the end going both ways.

On the topic of Beast Wars, the indoor flea market I frequent has had an unopened Kingdom Waspinator sitting there unwanted for months at this point. I've seen stock come and go and he's still there. And he's only like $18. It's pretty pathetic honestly.
Is he worth picking up at that price? I've got no attachment to the show or character, but if the toy's good I might pick him up for the hell of it. He can go with my other bugs I guess.

I never got him despite amazon discounts - he felt like the mold/waist/sculpt will make me mad and i will leave him in the toy box forever.

But 18 bucks is a steal - just get him if you have money to spend around on questionable transformers.

Additionally, even the bravest liberal is too cowardly to push that kinda thing until the public has been properly whipped into a frenzy by the news, so again, not 9 months ago.

I definitely agree there, but I think Kirkman's run at least STARTED strong. I liked Megs' speech, the Thundercracker stuff and Trailblazer. Completely neutral on the Arcee stuff. Not too sure about Elita-1, though I did like everything that lead to it and I'm willing to let that settle.

it's funny, I don't like partsforming, but I love little autonomous drone guys. I loved how Beast Wars continued to use those, but since a part of an animal can't just leap off and become its own thing, they just had a scorpion shooting bees at you,.. or, well, okay they also had a polar bear throwing one of its arms at you and it turns into a bat, that was LESS logical, but still

I really like Marvel US/UK, and the later-Dreamwave stories (namely G1 Vol 2-3 and War Within). Highly recommend both, despite them also having their lower points. I still think State Games is the best origin story a "standard" Megatron ever had.

My main problem with Skybound is it feels directionless. Marvel, Dreamwave, and IDW all were relatively more focused in what ideas they wanted to explore, what characters and what parts of the TF mythos they wanted to expand on, etc. It helps that Dw+IDW were written by fans who already were familiar with the basics and wanted to explore new angles, and Marvel was by people exploring what they wanted the franchise to be without any earlier legacy to influence them.
Skybound feels to me like a bunch of action scenes and stock melodrama in a too-standard setting, that's too reliant on you being already attached to other versions of these characters, and so doesn't explore them neither to the degree I would like (before then killing them for shock). Void Rivals has a greater creative vision which I appreciate, but it has many of its own problems (ultimately still based on a common scifi trope, turning fffuckin Skuxxoid into a Sad Dad, glacial pacing, etc). Dreamwave started similarly, but I think picked up as Furman and more fans joined the crew, turning it into summin more interesting (before eventually all hopping to IDW). Skybound meanwhile, I feel has stagnated a bit under the direction of a crew who are admittedly mostly casual fans.
>>
>>11745579
Optimus would probably dislike ICE though. Freedom for all and all that. Including real-world politics in the comics is a whole other issue
>>
>>11745593
My issue with the Marvel stuff is that I'm admittedly pretty filtered by that early low-budget print style. I struggle with getting into anything pre-90s for that reason, I'm very art-driven. I've considered trying out G2 for that exact reason but I haven't heard much about it good or bad and I've never watched the show.
>later-Dreamwave stories
Another issue here is that I really do not want to bother with read order or jumping across issues, I want to read sometihng front to back. (the crossover/extended universe of Skybound is my least favorite part) Do you think Dreamwave still works as a complete package?
>>
>>11745579

>Dreamwave
Oh, totally. G1 Vol 1 and 2 are just 6 issues each, and Vol 3 was only like, 13 or so before Dreamwave imploded. So either way it's a short read lol. War Within is also a series of minis, the third of which only got like 2-3 issues in before cancellation.
Worth noting ig is that IDW's Megatron Origin was very much a Dreamwave story, just got published under IDW. That's why IDW didn't acknowledge it in other stories for years.

>Marvel
The art definitely starts rough in the early days, eapecially the US ones. I think once it hits around US#20 the art gets pretty nice to look at though, and the UK stories were always very stylized, they're great.
Main thing I'll say is to read from scans, NOT any of the official digital collections of the US issues. They are completely fucked. Muddier linework than the original issues, fucked up colors, and sometimes the art was just edited (for "consistency") or missing some elements entirely.

G2 is great, but it's a great Finale to Marvel TF. I think it can be enjoyed fine on its own, but its definitely best if you've read the rest of Marvel - especially UK, as it's the UK team that took over the US series in its later years, and did G2.

Ultimately I think Marvel and the 80s show compliment eachother, actually? The toon was great at absurdist humor, but also character spotlights. Marvel didn't do that bunch (but still included them in the cast), and was more concerned with the overarching story and a core cast of main characters. I love both. But, I think you could enjoy Marvel on its own perfectly fine!
>>
*didn't do that much, my b lol.

Does it have an ending? I'd like to read something that ties up nicely, ideally. Me reading Skybound as its ongoing is a huge exception for me.

To be absolutely fair you cannot work in the Western entertainment industry and be openly opposed to Current Thing. The Media Industrial Complex is so completely and totally rotten to the core that even the slightest dissent will get you blacklisted forever.
Also as far as anti-ICE art by bread and circus providers go, that's pretty mild, but that's neither here nor there. Point is, DWJ could be a rabid "NOOO LEAVE THE HECKIN' DOG EATING 68 IQ RAPISTS ALONE" imbecile or he could be secretly /ourguy/ but if he doesn't outwardly portray himself as part of #theresistance (backed by the media establishment) he's out of a job.
In any event he kept that out of the actual comics so, eh.
>>
>>11745610
They're forever unfinished yeah, but i think it's still worth reading as there are several complete arcs and single issues that are great stories.

So with Marvel, it started as a cheap 4-issue mini - but it got so popular that Marvel expanded it into an ongoing, now written by Bob Budiansky. UK at the time didnt really do US-style monthly issues, it did biweekly or weekly magazines. So since they had a faster publication schedule (and breaking up the US stories into parts only took ya so far), they quickly began doing their own stories, that took place between US stories. These were primarily written by Simon Furman.
Bob had some really strong stories that I think are underlooked, like his Cybertron story with Blaster, or his popularizing of Shockwave as a villain. But the UK stories quickly got very ambitious, as Furman wanted to do bigger arcs and expand the TF's lore - and he basically singlehandedly formed a lot of the modern TF lore alongside The Movie. Notably the US stories didn't touch the future era and characters of The Movie at all actually, but Galvatron, Rodimus, and Magnus had a big focus in UK.
But as the years went, Bob started getting burnt out and his stories began suffering for it, so after US#55 the UK team took over the US book, and immediately backported a bunch of the lore and characters they created. At this point the UK mag actually found it harder to maintain consistency with the US issues ironically, so its original stories spun off into smaller ones, more its own continuity called Earthforce, before just becoming a full US reprint-only mag. The wiki's a good resource for which UK issues had original stories, and also where they were reprinted in color (if they were B&W, which they very rarely were).

>>11745621
I may very well end up reading Dreamwave, but it'll be a bit as I'm just getting off IDW for six months. I'll post about it here if I do!
Would I be okay to just read the UK side in order? Needing a spreadsheet on-hand while reading always irked me.

Well, I think it's still worth reading the US stuff, as the UK stories do reference a lotta things established in US. Yeah the US stuff can be occasionally corny, but I think the good stories make it worth it, and hey, it's comics; you can always just start skimming if you get bored with one issue.
Unless you're asking "can I read the full UK mag beginning to end for the full experience"? Well, yes and no. It's mostly in order, but sometimes the story order got shuffled around, or a mag would have part 2 of a US story with part 3 of a UK story as a backup, etc; it makes sense mostly, but got a lil annoying.
Also, in the early days, the UK mag did publish some US stories in B&W unfortunately, including US#5 which has actually really great art and coloring in the US version.

If you want a cleaner reading order, then yeah try just rushin through US #1-55, then read the UK stories up to that period and continue with US#56 onwards (theres a couple more in-canon UK stories after US#56, but very few). After that, then yeah read G2, followed by TF: Alignment (a prose story by Furman released online, that wraps up the cliffhanger at the end of G2). He also did a modern mini called TF 84: Secrets and Lies, as a prequel to Marvel, which I think is a really good note to end the series on.

Incorrect.
The autobots were explorers, attempting to find new resources.
They were then shipwrecked on earth because of an attack.
They're closer to the pioneers than war refugees.
And cybertrons ways had already spread to the rest of the galaxy. They had COLONIZED planets already.
This is all in the g1 cartoon even.

I THINK you can trademark generic words. It's why "bumblebee" was unavailable for the longest time, because another toy company had snatched it up for use of one of their toys. However, you have to keep the word in regular usage, that is, keep making new toys with the word or the trademark can lapse.

however, unique words and terms are easily to trademark since they're less likely to be contested

bumblebee continues to be unavailable to trademark.

it doesn't mean you can't use it, it means anyone else can name a product that. now if it's the same KIND of product, you hit on a DIFFERENT issue. Additionally, old, weak ones can be grandfathered in as long as you keep them up, yeah.
So you'd be in mild legal trouble if you had a robot named bumblebee, but could theoretically get away with it if you weren't in the same toy niche, same color, etc. that's a different kind of infringement..

but if you wanted to have like 'optimus prime peanut butter' you'd be stopped immediately.

I'm not saying they're right, I'm just showing their take on it. They could be pulling all this out of their ass.
>>As mentioned above, "Bumblebee" was unavailable to Hasbro for many years. The name was being used as a registered trademark by a company called Playcore for their "Buzz the Bumble Bee" swing as of 2003, and as Hasbro had not used the name for a toy since 1995, their case to contest was likely a weak one. The Heroes of Cybertron PVC two-pack with Spike Witwicky was officially named "Autobot Espionage Team" for that reason, although the bio on the back of the packaging identified the two characters as "Bumblebee" and "Spike" (but without claiming them as trademarks). Furthermore, as can be seen on the right, one of the main characters of the Armada franchise was initially intended to be named "Bumblebee" before the unavailability of the trademark resulted in the character being renamed into "Hot Shot". However, in March 2005, Hasbro tried to reclaim the trademark, due to its intended association with a principal character in the big-deal live-action movie and its associated merchandise planned across a great many categories. However, the registration attempt was contested in July 2005, both by a production company named "Bumble Bee Productions, Inc." and by an online toy retailer named "Bumblebee Toys", both of which argued that the mark, as it was filed under the "toys" field, was too close to their own registered marks. Ultimately, Hasbro abandoned the registration attempt for "Bumblebee" in 2006 and simply decided to use the name as a "normal", non-registered trademark instead. The movie's release date being pushed back a year meant that the first "Bumblebee"-branded Transformers toys in over a decade were a 3" Titanium Series figure and a toy from the Classics line. (Playcore, or more accurately, its subsidiary Swing-N-Slide no longer manufactures the "Buzz the Bumble Bee" swingset.[10])

pretty huge kibble.. and you couldn't do that with a realistic truck the way you can here for this scifi one, since the wheel linkages are completely different

I want Monstructor, but I don't want him for $90. I waited 2 years for a sale on Dinoking, but Hasbro finally put him at exactly the price I was hoping for. I don't have the same faith Monstructor will stick around for so long and doubt he'll ever hit $60 anyway.
>>
>>11746134
Me too. That and TLK Megs, though that might be next year.
>>
>>11746319
I've got it.

The car is the body and each wheel is a limb. Toy-wise you might lose the ability to spin the wheels but you could have each wheel split in half. The arm ones fold back like massive gauntlets, the feet ones split into big feet. You can do whatever else you want with the body at that point.
>>
>>11746446
even if you pushed the other wheel half up onto the shoulders, that would still be ridiculous proportions.. and I mean, split wheels for feet.. you'd have to split them the wrong way, if I'm understanding you. might be better to just keep wheel-feet.. but again that's.. the wheels are half the mass. you can't have a quarter of the mass as the feet. maybe if you split them into foot and shin halves..

On the off chance this isn’t a shitpost: It’s basically impossible to answer this. Transformers started in the 1980s and has various incarnations and reboots and sequels and comics and live action movies and crossovers, etc. Everyone’s collections will vary depending on what they like. Here’s a random google pic
>>
>>11747056
yeah. No faction symbols is nice.

I don't think he's worth 44$ BUT I do like being able to use him as a generic mech as well as Nexus Prime.
>>
>>11747082
looks like a sentai combiner jet, so that's appropriate.
>>
>>11747083
I'm sure anon didn't literally mean how many are there
I'm 80% sure he didn't think his question through at all, but he's also kind of unfamiliar with the franchise so he wouldn't realize how silly it was to ask.

I imagine he meant like, how many are available right now at non-rape prices, how big do collections typically get, is 'completion' possible in this line, etc.
>>
>>11747093
Does he want G1 stuff? Modern day versions? Beast Wars stuff, old or new? Maybe he just wants little legends scale guys and would be better served by some 3P stuff? Does he want a full cast from a show or movie, or just random 'cool' bots? Autobots/Decepticons? Does he want a couple toys for a shelf or a whole bookshelf's worth?
It's an impossibly broad question.
>>
>>11747091
honestly this, I hope he ends up at clearance stores so I can use him as a troop builder
>>
>>11747097
I think he was probably hoping we'd give him a quick rundown, and probably.. doesn't realize how impossible that is, how MUCH there is

there's a lot of franchises that have lasted as long as transformers, but VERY few who have this many CONSISTENT releases over such a long time, and those that have, usually aren't quite so variegated (e.g. super sentai. collecting that is kinda 'this, over and over'). So he can be forgiven for not anticipating what a ridiculous question that is.. I shouldn't have made fun, I just thought it was funny.

It's kinda funny that all these thematic implements are starting to wake us up to the fact that, just as ankles REALLY needed pivots and it's good they all have em now, wrists need a lot more articulation than we usually get.. unless your weapon is a lollipop that you want to hold straight up, you kinda want to be able to tilt it forward, or get a good reverse grip on some things, or not have to separate the tool in the middle to plug it into the hand...

Star Action Figures in the UK. They’ve had this issue where Hasbro are fucking them on preorders, only giving them a tiny allotment even though there’s loads of stock available after release day. SAF’s answer had been to offer £25-28% discounts on preorders and new in stock Transformers and amazingly it seems to be working for them.
Deluxes should be £24.99, Voaygers £35.99 and Leaders £55.99, so it’s working great for me at least.
>>
>>11747268
It can be difficult to give wrists that kind of motion without it looking awkward like they just dislocated their hands.
Even a lot of high end toys don't bother and simply give you an exchangeable set of hands molded in a sword holding pose.
Exchangeable hands is perhaps something the TF team could look into, at least for certain releases.
