I don't scalp. I don't live near major stores.

But I buy toys, a lot. I enjoy them and usually put them away for later. Though when it seems like I have too much I'll sell stuff. I noticed I do this a lot. I usually sell 60-70k a year but I'm sure I spend just as much. Like an endless cycle. Plus constantly shipping things gets a little tedious.

I have to report this on my taxes it's gotten so bad. Is this something everyone deals with? Is there a way I don't have to pay taxes on with this 1099 form?

I am not sure which is crazier, selling 60k worth of toys in a year or buying 60k worth of toys in a year. If you can afford that much you can afford to pay your taxes bro

I really enjoy getting new stuff.

Is there no one else out there like this?

I got 4 of those last year from 2 eBay accounts, PayPal, and Etsy. Back when I had just 1 eBay account it was easy for the person who does my taxes to write off a lot of expenses/money spent on product, probably possible for you (not for me anymore though :( )

I just spend 2K+ on my credit card in the past two months, some of it was on Converse sneakers and Panda Express or Chipotle but a good 80-85% of it - and maybe more - was action figures or accessories. But even if I kept that rate up, it would be closer to $10K a year, so $60K is really high. It also looks more like you sales are about $30K.

You need to show the expenses of BUYING that shit and then turning around and selling it, as well as your costs (e.g. postage) so you are NET losing money on the proposition (which you are - this isn't found money, if you truly are spending $60K per year, you are barely recovering approximately half that. Taking account gas, postage, packing and other supplies, pay pal fees, ebay fees, etc., you are clearly losing money.

Do exactly what Orange Jesus does and claim those net loses.

Unless you are making THAT much more, you should still be able to claim expenses.

I don't know that I could get 60k selling every toy I own. Is this a humble brag? I don't know what OP is up to.
