LEGO has officially revealed a new LEGO Marvel set with the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier (76354). Releasing on June 1, the set has 3,057 pieces and will retail for $399.99. The set features a updated Helicarrier that’s more polished than the one from 2015 and features various scenes from the Infinity Saga. The minifigures in the set include Winter Soldier, Captain America, Phil Coulson, Maria Hill, Hawkeye, and Nick Fury.

There's also a new book coming in June with an exclusive minifig
Bros, it's actually happening! All my Brickowl orders (i will never use Bricklink) arrived today!I'm so excited!
>>11744863>>11744862>>11744861Why would anyone buy this trash?
It's the Animal crossing villagers i wanted but had no intention of buying their sets for!But there's also this huge box that arrived today. Could it be...

It's the Going Marry!
>>11744886It got so excited i forgot my pic.
>>11744873People will probably buy it just for the Winter Soldier minifig. All of Lego's recent attempts at making him have been complete dogshit and he's a very popular character. This one actually looks good finally. I would like to have one but I'm not even interested in a midi scale much less an AFOLslop scale helicarrier, it's just a stupid set.
how do you make this with modern parts

>>11744892They usually don't even put detailing on his arm anymore. I just got back into Lego for the second time as an adult back in maybe November, but I remembered that I had the old Civil War airport battle from like, 10 years ago somewhere because when I got out of Lego LAST time, there was a box full of sets I never got around to selling.I STILL think the Bucky, Wanda, and War Machine are among the best minifigures of those characters they've ever done, and the upsized "minifigure" of Giant Man is a lot better than the weird buildable figures they're doing now.

Don't forget to tell Lego how to make changes in their survey. No account or email is needed, which is good. I completed about 10 surveys where I suggested they bring back Bionicle as a minifigure theme and make Zelda and Star Trek regular themes like One Piece. >>11744897Having made the Weetabix promo castle in grey recently, it's likely to be mostly common pieces - the crenelations are just 1x2 bricks... there are a couple of arches there and a lot of plates. The building seems hinged in 4 separate places, so you'll need 8 pairs of hinge bricks too, and a pair of winders for the drawbridge.Hardest part is gonna be the decals... should be a parts list on bricklink, maybe start there?

Since the EU ruling in 2010 everyone is allowed to make bricks similar to LEGO. The patent has expired almost 50 years ago. Exceptions are a few (100+) pieces where LEGO holds a design protection. Licenced themes are one of the worst things that happened to the lego hobby. To care about a licenced theme or even know what it's about you first have to experience the source material. I don't know about, but I'm not someone who chases the newst thing. Be it a movie, tv series or videogame. I haven't seen a single MCU movie. Doesn't mean they are bad. I just have not had the urge to check it out yet. So as a fan of lego, I couldn't care less about the sets. An exception to this is the LEGO Batman Movie, where they actually cared and gave it the "Lego twist" and made something special out of it. What we got now? The millionth batmobile horay!I think I'll stick to rebuilding old sets I've missed and supporting the few good themes left (MK, Dreamzzz, Ninjago).

>a playstation 5 is now $900Amazing. Expect even more normies to enter the lego hobby now because gaming is more expensive than lego (ironic).I also expect Lego to make an announcement on dropping smart bricks by the end of the year, those sets are not selling at all.

>>11745373NTA but yeah.... consoles are fucking trash for retards that can't build a basic ass PC.
>>11745391>>11745392I considered that but I feel like minifugs already fill this niche? Minifigs are infinitely more iconic and usually have the bonus of compatability with sets.
>>11745331Yes and that question about price inflation was.... surprise, also by me. You are stupid.
>>11745393Or and I know that sounds crazy to you, but maybe you prefer actually playing games which pc users most of don't since they only brag about playing.
>>11745401>I considered that but I feel like minifugs already fill this niche? Not really. Brickheadz have the same dumb, blank expression as Pops, and do nothing except exist to be displayed. They're even roughly the same size as pops (as far as I can tell). Minifigures are at least meant to be put into the sets, and can be parts swapped, and have actual expressions and can be played with.
>>11745405I think Lego was hoping Brickheadz-with-a-Z was going to blow up with customized ones. and it would have spawned whole new communities trying to Funko-match all their favorite characterscheck out my [insert celebrity] Brickheadz-with-a-Z!oh! I made a cool [Gulp Shitto]!!!in theory, they are MORE customizable than Minifigures, and they do steal the Funko style so much they should maybe give some coins over to Funko lol
From 2005 until 2016 each year LEGO had at least one new original theme releasing. >>11745402the bookends set needs the dog to be held up, support books, and also look like the dog is going through the booksmaking the supports look like books solves all of these problemsit would only be "price inflation"(ignoring the usual inflation) if the set wasn't bookendsyour problem seems to be that the bookends set contains bookendsbeing able to combine the halves does not change that fact, the primary build is still bookendswhat part of this do you not understand?
>>11745403Name a single metric where console gaming is more convenient than PC gaming.

>>11745419What a Knudstorp!
>>11745419>>11745424I think they spend a while focusing on the movies, too. Because, IIRC from 2014-2019 they did the Lego Movie, Lego Batman Movie, Ninjago Movie, and Lego Movie 2.But yeah...it was really the higher ups trying a bunch more "innovative" ideas. >it finally cameBest day of my life bros
>>11745463>5000 characters rather quicklyThat's from your perspective but the lego fortnite game mode was in the works for a few years, probably development started around 2019, like everyone here memes the Goku skin leak and why it never released yet but its been 2 years, its in the works and will most likely finally release around november with the icons set. Like now we got Power Rangers skins and we get a Megazord set in 2027. They take time and release them gradually at the right moment, remember lego invested over $1 billion in Epic Games (Fortnite creators and owners) and so did Disney, Fortnite is a longterm investment for them. So I replaced it with a printed piece
Went to my local lego store today, don't really collect much new nowadays beside parts on bricklink. Got to see the smart brick shilling in full display, took up one side of the entrace display, multiple instore displays, snd even had a table where two guys stoood arkumd advertising them to anyone that came too close. It was the whole reason I came in and was pretty disappointed, only piece I wanted was 1 x 1 sand blue tiles but I couldn't justify them alone.
I wish I had the skill to build this car at minifig scale. With all the black bricks out now with the Batman sets you would think it would be easy.
>>11745016>>11745017Why?
>>11745693I've been to three Targets, two Walmarts, and one Lego store since the launch of the Smart brick sets, and literally have not seen a single one sell outside of at the Lego store, and it looked like they had only sold a small smattering of them, and the ones they did sell were probably due to at least a half dozen employees promoting them at displays. Definitely does not look like they are doing good otherwise.PAB has been kinda eh too, but I did pick up some dark tan 1x2s I needed, and some clear and trans light blue 1x1s I needed for some water. Also picked up some 2x4 bricks that I just needed for some filler pieces, so it wasn't too bad.
>>11745699wow. wow. just... wow.Target had a display box with buttons to presshearing Luke say "brrrbrrrrrbrrrrrrbrrrrrrrrr!"was shockingly embarrassingfollowed by a vacuum cleaner noise that was grating. like somebody turned on one of those handheld things that suck (poetic?)I wanted to stop that noise immediately but it wouldn't stop. woooooooooosh! >>11745864>putting literal lootboxes into kids toysthank god bricklink exists
>>11745864Lucky bastard, I wish we had a Kuro minifig. Maybe we will get a cmf one day...
Hypothetically if Lego were to make a Dragon Ball Z set based on Frieza's ship, should that be a 18+ set or a playset like in the 12+ age range? And what minifigs should be included?
Apparently EU bans non removable batteries from technology like phones and consoles such an nintendo switch 2 and anything else starting 2027 so I guess we never get smart bricks? Because the battery cannot be removed. Will Lego make a removable battery smart brick? You can't remove the battery inside the minifig either.
>>11745876I'd love it to be a playset because a flying saucer set would be cool, we never got one before

>>11745889Idiot>LEGO Smart Bricks and Smart Play sets will be initially available on March 1, 2026, in only six countries: the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Poland, and Australia. This limited, phased release is designed to test the new technology and manage supply chains, with no immediate word on a wider global launch.
Anyone else has this problem in their city? Since lego released last year the stupid F1 cmf we didn't get any new cmf, stores are still trying to sell the F1 cmf and they do not move, I asked some store managers and they said they won't order new cmfs because of this. I didn't find the spider-man cmf and neither series 28 so series 29 seems like a no no and I fucking hate it because I wanted Tahu so bad. I don't want to order online, I really liked scanning the boxes for minifigs.

>>11745966What ride?
>>11745967>What went wrong?* is this "proof" that the discussions are driven primarily by paid employees? when Lego thinks it's time to start pushing interest, they will show up to start the conversation. (relax, that's just a joke)Lego "blew it" by not having these ready for the Mario Galaxy movie coming out next week. the first Mario movie went over huge. Lego didn't even do brick-built sets for the movie(s) (not that those would make sense, if they had)honestly I'm so used to Lego disappointment, I dare not get my hopes up. there's no reason to "get excited". remember when Lego said "Zelda!" and we all got excited, and it was $300? Star Trek! AHHH!! Finally!... $400. Pokemon! ($650!) oh but there's minifigs coming!... $360!!!!!!here comes Mario! guess what?...... not this time.

Remember when Lego ignored making sets based on two massively successful Mario movies and three successful Sonic movies, but immediately making sets of the movie that its only lasting impact was people shouting "Chicken jockey!" then trashing the cinema? Fun times.
>>11746169In this day and age, Minecraft is probably considered a more lucrative franchise than Mario and Sonic combined.
>>11745967I told the survey to make them affordable like the Sonic the Hedgehog sets. Even if that doesn't happen, I'm proud to have taken a stand.
Went to a major convention today, you know what that means: a metric fuck ton of bootleg lego. There was more fake lego then real, several booths selling these licensed knockoff figs. Going to dump some.Lot of warhammer shit, I know this IP is about as far from lego's reputation as possible but there seems to be a lot of overlap between lego and warhammer autists.
Do you think the DBZ shitposter in here will go apeshit when the real minifigs don't look this good?
Lot of custom bigfigs, even consideted getting a knockoff rancor they had based on the official one.
I had a survey sent to me after visiting one of their flagship stores. One of the questions was if I bought a star wars product while there. Unfortunately it was a yes/no question, I couldnt leave a more descriptive answer about their $200 grey spaceships

>>11746169Lego has to make the hard choices, years in advance, often off of unexplained production material (that may later get cut from the movie, even!)Lego is too slow to react. and it seems like they have either limited warehouse capacity, or limited retail shelf space, to make sets for everythingwhy do we get 1 Fantastic 4 set vs 5 Captain America BNW sets? vs NO Superman sets? I'm sure there's a dozen movies each year that get considered for Lego sets, but Lego can only do so much! (or so it seems)
Literally not one sold
Maybe my favorite of the minifigs seen. As cute as the printed leg on the slope is they sadly are a little too accurate to lego in that they can't make flesh tones printed on colors look remotely decent.
Wish these guys didn't just default to oversized head molds and did more shit like a normal head mold with a unique head piece mold.
>>11745574
Guess I'll end here, have more but that's moat of the interesting stuff. You guys have any experience collecting these bootlegs? I find the sheer diversity of unique molds impressive but just can't stand how the plastic on them looks and feels.
>>11746213I understand, I really do. It's just hilarious when Lego puts all their eggs in one basket for a movie that immediately flops, or hop on a trend a year or years later when the hype has died off. Ain't nobody gonna be excited for K-pop Demon Hunters a year later lol.Speaking of, is Lego Fortnite the next Overwatch? Fortnite fired 1000 workers, and killed off several game modes.
