Didn't see anyone mention this so I just wanted to complain/notify y'all. Premium DNA (formerly Megalopolis) cancelled their Mars Attacks line (and preorders have been cancelled). Which is disappointing but not entirely surprising, desu. Still, bummed that we can't have nice things for mars attacks.
>>11745772>Premium DNA (formerly Megalopolis)You should have known from the start this was never going to end well. I don't know how these fucks are still in business.
>>11745772Now we're stuck with Breaka or FucMarlane
>>11745792There is Super7Too bad it's $55 per figure which means army-building is fucked.
>>11745772I hope everyone that wanted these heeded the warnings and ordered from anywhere but the PDNA website. To think we actually have retards and scumbags on this board that defend them and act like we should believe anything they say.
I want Lanard to get the Mars Attacks ip so they can do cheap army builders. The Alien/Predator stuff was really good for the price.
>>11745853The old Mezco one is out there, though with an even worse, secondary market price. Still kinda bummed they didn't do the 4" version they showed.
>>11745792You're such a pathetic troll
>>11745772Bro I just heard about this right now. Fuck it's so hard to get new Mars Attacks stuff.
>>11745772BBTS also sent out notices that they Wave 2 Madballs line is cancelled too. And Earthworm Jim stuff is delayed till the end of the year (if that ever comes out). But really, anyone who was still buying their stuff on their own and not going through places like BBTS are fucking stupid and almost deserve to lose their money. These guys have scammed how many times now? I've lost count. I'm sure some of these licensors finally saw reality and jumped ship.
>>11745886Lanard getting Robocop , Terminator, and Mars Attacks would make for such a legendary comeback. Unfortunately it seems like they're barely getting by as is. The most recent things they've made are offbrand godzillas and kongs.
>>11745896FWIW Bull Airs made a Martian Madball. It's sold well enough that they're doing preorders for a second run right now.
>>11746249Lol what the fuck. That's pretty neat.
Premium DNA still has their comments turned off on all of their social media pages since returning, which is a completely normal thing that most companies do when they're not a scam.
The Hasbro Tron line is widely assumed to be dead as dust.
>>11745772That sucks. I thought they were supposedly turning a new leaf with the whole Earthworm Jim thing.>>11745853The PDNA ones were gonna be the same price, but at least you got alternate heads. I at least got some Super7 ones.
>>11746429Not the only Tron toyline to get cancelled these past few years. Bought the super7 line just because its the most complete out of them all but holy shit if I had to pay what they originally wanted for them I wouldn't have. It would have cost $300+ but thank God I know somebody who works there and it wound up being a little over $100 after their cast discount
>The wounds have healed but the pain remains
>>11746429I wanted them, too. >>11747578>make them 7" so they're incompatible with everything but Super7 Ultimates figuresStupid move.
>>11747586I like the way they supported the line with a Youtube cartoon series. Media support still does help toy lines.
>>11747718The episodes werent that bad either. Frankly they were right on parr with the Alternation webisodes. Another toyline that got canned in the last couple of years :(
>>11747792 I've got the amphibian boi and 2 of the fishy fellas. I never knew (somehow() that their chests lir up. Don't forget Space Force as well.
>>11747717They're actually the 3 3/4 inch line, reaction I think its called. So they'll scale well with anything from that line or any other retro style figures. I actually wish they were ultimates though, because there would be less manufacturing issues. The ink on my Tron is already fucked up despite not having these for long and all of the figures except Flynn have a leg that's a little shorter than the other. Super7 swears up and down that this is to "make them more like the figures from the era" but I don't buy it, its just so that they can save money during the QC phase while saying its more retro. I want my action figures to look like they cane from the era in the sense they share the same 5poa style not because they're poorly produced and cheap, there's a difference between making something look like its from the era and something that has all the same problems despite new modern technology. At the end of the day, I still like them and I think that Tron is one of the few properties where these old looking figs are a good idea but fuck Super7's laziness.
>>11748240The Diamond Select Tron figures? They were cooler than shit but they were 7"
>>11747963Afaik everybody in the lime had unique gimmicks like that
>>11747586Fuck man, I adored this series. The only thing I didn't like was that part swapping was almost impossible since each body was unique, which is a nice touch but you couldn't swap out parts as easily as say gi joes. Not only were these great toys, but for $20 you could have a army or both factions and maybe a vehicle or upgrade packs. >>11747792>>11747718And a comic book. I was fine with a re release of re paints but by the time they made it to stores the line died. We even had a few generals for final faction here, so it's not like the toys were being supported by fans but I guess some behind the scenes crap killed what I thought was an ideal toy line. Funny thing, I saw some kids figures in their yard one day a few months ago while I was walking home from the post office. Sorry for the rambling reply, I just really liked the series and get excited when I think of what could have been.
>>11748561I'm never going to get over the death of Final Faction. It's everything I'd wanted in a toyline for the last 20 odd years, and it just imploded. It really blows man.
>>11748792Yeah, the thought of the base/hq was the last thing I recall hearing from the series before the end. The khaarn crawler vehicle was dope, the atv wasn't bad either. And those spring loaded drones and such were so fun, lil churro dog that handle....sigh
>>11745891Even Japan has their limits>>11745896I see this shit peg warm from Super7 at Ross all the time. Where were you people then.>>11746429but those just look like rejected characters from Agents of Shield
