Before the dawn of Preternia, their ancestors ruled tyrannically, preying on weaker breeds of insects.""Millions of years later, little has changed. Now enter the focal point of their sinister designers - Sting-Or!"This sounds like scorpion people have been on the planet since before Preternia, but Sting-Or is a young member of the species. Shouldn't have joined the Horde any earlier than Adora's birth.

I recognize its a little off-topic, however I thought you guys would appreciate this piece I drew sometime ago. The gist is quite simple, do what Nacelle did with all their retro brands, for knock offs! It's not communicated in this image but I also thought it would be neat if all these figures were modular in glyos fashion. Fuerza T would still scale with 5.5. MOTU figures, but they'ed rely on the same port and peg system. Defensores De La Tierra were colombian Super Powers bootlegs made by the sister company of the same people responsible for Future Warriors. Gulliver Juguetes has had their fingers in many pies over the years. The dino guy on the bottom is from a Paco Toys line called "Dino Warriors" and the guys next to him are from the long forgotten Spanish Airgam Toys collection "Super Fantasticos vs Super Diabolics".

>>11747496Ok. This is the last one.>>11747543What i can think of is that an European bootlegger outsourced the manufacturing in asia and those factories sell them to other markets. But you are right that it is always hard to locate the markets by the design of the cards.
>>11747547Thats a cool pic. Glyos? You mean more like Mantech.I thought the dinosaur character is from Dini Fighters.

>>11747836Skeletons are hard, bro
>>11747789It's....I'm speechless honestly. The bold and violent childhood imagination displayed in this piece brings forth delightful memories and feelings of loss and fear, a longing for the comfort of my mothers sun tea and the tang of her breast milk. There is a whimsy about the colors, the dinosaur head representing the duality of youth and the cape symbolic of an unknown and seemingly boundless potential of the youth of not only today, not only here, but in every child in every time of days past and those yet to come. Truly a moving and exhilaratingly sobering monument of childhood.

>>11748391>It's exasperating how much more an arbitrary movie star gets paid than someone who can deliver a better performance. Ben Diskin's CGI Skeletor was pretty charismatic and he was likely as not working for SAG-AFTRA minimum wage.Retard execs are obsessed with "star power" celebrity names attached as VAs to these types or projects regardless wether or not if the celebrities sucks as voice actors. Its the same thing on with invincible and how they are literally burning millions and going over budget wasting their budget on pointless celebrity VAs that they could easily hire regular industry voice actors for the same job for the character's to do a much better job for a fraction of the price and then maybe then the animation wouldnt look so dog shit because theyd have more of a budget for it then.
>>11748329>Thanks to Battle cat thr MotU has more green in it than the entire Lanterns trailer.Fucking hell...
>>11748391>>11748395I seem to remember a voice actor (possibly Billy West) tearing into Hollywood for picking star power to perform voice acting roles when they were completely unsuited for it, and singling out Cameron Diaz's performance in the Shrek movies as a prime example.

Its gotten so insane that the dude who wrote paul raban somehow got his phone number leaked and started receiving threats anonymously by fans in the middle of the night. Also in a recent RLM video hollywood big shot rich evans went on off topic a tangent about OMD in a sam raimi retrospective video and it made alot of non comic fags suddenly aware of just how unimaginably shit the spider man comics have been for the past 20 years and so the writer for OND started getting extra ribbing on social media for it right afterwards and made a public apology post after the RLM video lmfao.

>>11748562Sorry bro I’m new to MotU or else I’d post but I only have a cartoon collection 200x heman and a filmation skeletor atm. I liked how skeletor looked so I grabbed him one day then I almost immediately found out about 200x coming so I decided to wait and go all in on them until right after getting heman chronicles news dropped. I don’t want to fall into the trap of collecting multiple different versions of characters in different lines. I’ve decided on getting only the movie origins and waiting on chronicles 200x. There’s an embarrassment of riches atm.
>>11748570I’m also new to motu but have ZERO figures. There’s just too much shit to pick from which is a good problem to have I guess but I don’t want to just accumulate figures like I have with legends. I probably could've skipped the WWE crossover stuff too but at the time I was too excited for motu and now I've got another box of figures I'd rather not have. So I am a bit new to collecting some He-Man stuff, starting with Chronicles, what exactly is going on with Scare Glow? Is he actually supposed to be released on April 25th? I have a bunch of Walmarts near me but none of them even have a He-Man section, and the few that had the collectors end cap with some Masterverse stuff, got rid of them by now. Walmart is genuinely one of the worst for exclusives, it's so frustrating.
>>11748757April 25th Is just the street date for movie shit
>>11748759So Scareglow is supposedly out despite the Chronicle lines not even being? It'd be nice if Mattel just said something about it to clarify. Is there at least a decent tracker useable to find stores with it in stock at the moment? Like I said, Walmart I've always found just the worst with this kinda stuff collecting other lines, I'm almost tempted to just give up and go to eBay, but I dunno if it'd be better to just wait a bit more.
>>11748757I can explain this one actually. For the past couple years only specific wal-mart locations actually carried MOTU products. Where i live only two wal-marts around me carry MOTU toys at all and for alot of people none around them carry any MOTU figures. Also apparently wal-mart did some scummy move with mattel where in they got an exclusivity early release for scareglow and mighty masters figure ahead of the april 25th street date (which personally i feel is way too far off anyways, but thats besides the point) and as well as the exclusive core series gold skeletor figure. But so far only the specific wal-mart locations that previously sold MOTU toys for last several years are carrying them right now but i imagine by april 25th then all walmarts will reset and start carrying MOTU again. It sucks but wal-mart is a scummy shit company so its in character for them to act this shitty and fucking awful. One of the wal-marts around me even did the reset this week just yesterday and i got scareglow that way but i managed to get the mighty masters and the gold skeletor the week prior via using the barcodes online to get an employee to fetch them outta the back. Good luck on finding him man.
>>11748658Skeletor is always an easy sell. I have to say though, flower power He-man is slowly winning me over. I cant pinpoint what it is, but the aesthetic is so bizarre it wraps around to being cool.
>>11748788>the aesthetic is so bizarre it wraps around to being cool.I call it the He-Man/Battle Cat gift set for Princess of Power.
>>11748783Thanks for that insight, appreciated. Yeah for years none of my Walmarts really stocked anything other than some origins, and it was the shelfwarmers for a while like that toy Stratos, I didn't even know for a long period that Masterverse got a whole package redesign when the last season of the Netflix show aired. It was similar with GI Joe Classified, which is one of the main things I collect, my Walmarts essentially completely ditched stocking those and I never saw the exclusives in stores. In that case, maybe I'll give it until that 25th date to try catching it, but continue to periodically check. In my experience most exclusives tend to be pretty available after a period, especially if they're the start of a line, but man they're such a headache. Fuck Walmart.
>>11748658Damn man, I still hold firm in my opinion that the he man battle cat just looks flat out amazing. I haven't wanted a battle cat recolor this badly since duplikat. Are you going to open them or just keep them as is? Are those bases in there, do they connect to castle grey skull like stridor or talon fighter?
>>11748807Nta but mr home arcade showed them off and they're just little plastic insert things like packaging that can be used as bases inside their box or on the cardboard without all the extra plastic packaging
>>11748795We are never going to get PoP B listers in Origins. It's just not fair.
>>11748263I caught Project Hail Mary, finally, while I was one county over, scouting for toys after a meeting. The theaters were packed, I couldn't get into the the IMAX and had to settle for the XL afternoon showing. The previous trailer played and was well-received. Since PHM is also an MGM release, no idea why they didn't swap out or release this trailer with what has become a huge spring movie. The Super Mario movie looked and sounded like shit but will probably pack asses into seats, god help us, and you can bet your ass that Universal won't want any new He-Man trailers in front of that dross. All that said, while this trailer has a lot of interesting things to me, as a casually interested non-MOTU fan who will probably see this movie in theaters, and as someone in LA who has worked in the industry, I don't think either of these trailers were going to bring in non-fans into the theaters and an origin story, even though it was probably necessary for at least a 20-30% of the movie, was a good idea.

April Fool's Day is so boring these days
>>11749032I have April Fools. I unironically like this character now that 20 years passed

>>11748788The art is kind of amazing. >>11748795So you think well get more PoP cartoon collections? Frosta got me back into MotU and she only really has Shera and Bow on my shelf.
>>11749104Wrong fucking picture.
>>11749105I am really tempted on this and the skeletor. I really like the style as it reminds me a bit of Yoshitaka Amano. But that's a lot of money to drop on a series I am new to. I have picked up optimus he-man and megatron skelator as I am a transformers fan. Then I got Rio Blast cuz he is a fucking Cowboy Cyborg and that's awesome but he does need a hat. I hope I don't fall into collecting this line hard for my wallets sake but I do wanna get some of those mighty masters though as they look neat and fun desk toys.
>>11748714Literally Hitler (thanks wikipedia).
>>11749127I feel like us veteran posters should begin prepping a "greatest hits of MOTU Origins" for anons like you. You really cant go wrong with anything released between 2020 and 2025. There's tons of places offering great deals right now.
>>11749100I'd grab one even though I wasn't around for the classics era. What's his name again? Not the might spector, the dude behind him.
>>11749127What are your collecting goal? Are you a completionist, want the main cast from the cartoon or just cool toys that are fun to mess around with?>>11749206We should do that regardless because it sounds fun. I'll start off by nominating>LoP Mer-Man>ToG Ninjor
Just got sketchbook heman. Good shit other than the arms being a different color for whatever fucking reason.
>>11749297Mattel likes to promote diversity. Chud

>>11749100I'm indifferent to him, but it will be funny when they do make him. April Fools is a bit underwhelming this year, so thought I'd try something.>>11749127>but he does need a hat.I never thought about that. I'm interested to see him in a hat now.My only warning for collecting is that its a slippery slope. I would try to stick to only certain lines, like either Origins, Masterverse or [fill in the blank].For example, I buy Origins and only buy Masterverse once a year if its an especially good looking figure. And I only buy Origins figures of characters I think look good, no 'since I have X I should buy Y' reasoning with me. And I'd try to aim for MSRP or less for figures. Usually there are sales where the Origin figures get down to $12 each, which is a pretty good deal imo. I think anything past $30 per figure would be really pushing it.
>>11749331Suicide because trying to do that this late in the game is going to break your heart.>>11749344Fuck I wish Mattel would sell those in Canada.

>>11749206>greatest hits of MOTU OriginsI don't think anyone would disagree that Origins Horde has probably the highest concentration of hits for it's small roster size. Mantenna, Leech, Grizzlor (especially if you can get the Dark Grizzlor variant), Dragstor, Mosquitor and Horde Trooper are all basically flawless. Even Stingor gets praised as one of the only new characters that doesn't get shit on (only Frog Monger and the Skeleton Warriors get as much love). The only two I see much complaining about are Modulok and Multi-Bot due to the connectors and the size of them. Not a bad track record
>>11749586>Kinda looks like a y2j era chris jericho..Dear god, is is Jericho. Skeletor just made the list!!

>>11749206With how many characters there are and the diffrent lines it maybe cool to see.>>11749246Mostly I just buy stuff I think looks cool. I have not watched any MOTU shows and don't know any lore. The transformers ones where what made me really start looking at the line and I started seeing some cool stuff. The origins line I think is the neatest as I appreciate theme keeping the toyetic style and play features. I also did not realize they where made to come apart so you can swap armor and parts around.>>11749344With how expensive transformers are getting honestly most MOTU figures are a pretty good deal. With those sales it has become dangerous to wanna order alot of stuff I probably dont really want or need.>>11749380Ya he looks good with a hat. Idk about blue maybe a brown would look better but I like he has his Sharif star on it. Maybe even hide another gun under his hat.>>11749475Damn that does fit and look pretty good. Now I am thinking he would look great with a duster or even just a poncho he can toss to the side and draw all his guns. There any other figures of Rio besides his original toy? He is quickly becoming a favorite design and character for me I just wish the cables on his arms stayed plugged in better.

>>11748783Just wanted to say mega thanks, your advice completely paid off, I remembered a walmart that tended to carry a bit more He-Man stuff than the others, that was mildly out of the way for me, sure enough they had a few Scareglows and the Mighty Masters, so I picked them both up.Really hope Scareglow ends up widely available for others, this guy is fantastic, I'm really glad I passed on the Masterverse one, this is great. The Mighty Masters are super fun desk guys too.
>>11749986Im super happy i i could have helped you man, youre welcome. It means alot that my advice could help other anons/collectors out here especially when wal-mart is so shitty and makes it intentionally hard to even acquire these toys to begin with. I hope you enjoy scareglow anon!
>>11749986>>11750035Also forgot to add on to my post but yes, scareglow is (supposed) to be available at other retailers starting april 25. Its only certain wal-mart chains are getting him early currently and then i think every wal-mart will be carrying MOTU product by april 25th to coincide with the movie.

>>11749504I'm gonna start with the crossovers.WWEternia>Ultimate WarriorEither wave 1 or wave 5 is great. In my head cannon he is a rival of Oolar from the same tribe. Extremely envious and petty that Oolar has left the jungle for bigger and better things.>Jake the SnakeThis guy got a lot of love when he came out for being "like a new Snakeman!" How innocent we all were....but snakeshit aside this is still a good toy.>Mr. TOh yeah I love this guy. I swapped some parts - Jitsu's armor for a better fit and Clamp Champ's legs for a more Motu feel. I was an 80s baby and never had any Mr.T toys as a kid, so this scratched an itch deep in my soul. I could be overrating him but his golden arms are just such a good pulp fiction idea for a barbarian.>Hulk HoganThis guy only came with one of the rings and is hard to find. But I love this one. A big upgrade over my Sungold bootleg Hulk. I have him teamed up with Kol-Darr as a pair of golden armor mercenaries protecting travelers along the edge of the light and dark halves of Eternia.>The New Day, wave 2 Rey Mysterio, Ricky the Dragon Steamboot, Andre the Giant, GoldbergHonorable mentions I guess. The whole line is filled with gems. Even ones that are kind of boring usually have some good parts you can swap.Turtles of GrayskullI wasn't really that big on these because in general I am not a fan for crossovers. They always feel forced because "we gotta mash up both main casts no matter what." That being said, the ones I was happiest with were>Ram Man, Ninjor, Rattlor, Splinter-Skull, AprilThese ones to me just seem to fit my vague mental criteria of looking like characters that could exist in either world and not just turtles with armor on.>Casey Jones, Clamp Champ, MekaneckHonroable mentions. Casey is great as a weapons pack and the other two are variants for characters who don't usually get any.Thundercats>Battle Cat ManThis is only one I got but he's a gem.
>>11750182I agree with the bulk of your choices. I will just note however Mouse-Jaw and Krangator are really fun too. Also, most people are sour on both TF and Stranger Things but Hellfire-Man and Bee at Arms are both distinct enough to pass off as OCs and worth consideration thusly.
>>11750292It's all good. Jump in with your rec's too. Or if you want to disagree that's cool to have a little discussion. My perspective was that I knew I was going to recommend the classic Origins Trap Jaw which would be easier to find. Anything that would require a hunt got bumped down.>excluding Hogan because muh nostalgiaI haven't bought any of the TF toys because I honestly didn't care for any of them except for Bee-at-Arms. But when he goes on clearance I would be greatly tempted.
>>11750182WWE superstars ultimate warrior is pretty sweet, just give him an axe or something and he slots right in..I'm very fond of the new day figure, rip Big E ya rope humping bastard, first because I'm a sucker for man e faces and secondly it's what got me into the hype around origins and led me to finding you guys. I'd add evil queen Steph or hunter just for their masks.
Origins Greatest Hits continued>the best version of He-ManThis is a tough one. I really like the Stranger Things version but its triggering me that he doesn't have the classic shield otherwise this would be a slam dunk. If you want a classic He-Man, the one from wave 5 with the vintage head is the way to go. Or the Battle Armor He-Man if you care about getting a half-power sword (and a vintage head sculpt.) Other anons have bashed together the perfect He-Man from the various releases (BA painted boots, cartoon collection wrists, ToG Stealth for better paint aps)Personally, I really liked the first 200x version. I can't explain it but I really liked this version and he's the one I grab most often.>best SkeletorMuch easier. There are 3 that stand out to me>Stranger Things one>the one that came with the bird>Rise of Evil two pack with the mini comic headWhichever one of those you find first will probably make you happy.
Origins. Here we go, this is the big one.>Wave 1Man-at-Arms is the one to track down. All the others have better versions that came out later. This was also the first time we got Duncan with his moustache so bonus points. You might want Evil-Lyn to but I think some people liked the CC version better.>Wave 2All of them. You need an Orko (the CC version is a good subsitute) but this is the best Trap Jaw. Man-e-Face is such a classic Motu you can't skip him. Scare Glow is a meme but for good reason.>Wave 3Roboto is the best. Once again these characters all have superior versions that came later. Except for Zodac but he's kind of boring.>Wave 4All bangers. Except for Stratos, this is probably the best one but you might prefer the 200x one or CC. The nude Stratos comes later but then you'll have to get Masterverse Stratos to properly make him comic accurate. This is my favorite Hordak. I didn't think the deluxe Buzz Saw one worked as well as I remember the vintage version. And this one was easier to balance since he didn't have that weird cape mechanism on the back.

>>11750853>Heman knows the weaknesses of all his normal villains because he's been fighting them for decades >Suddenly glup shittos catch him off guard Honestly not a bad plan Unless Skeletor hires fucking axel ocs fuck them
>>11750850Ite disappointing but they're cool in a microfigure way like all those miniature playsets that happened after and during Mighty Max. I hope someone puts them in their Mighty Max stuff.
The one thing I hope is at least ONE of the movies lines has full cast coverage. We've got 4 lines now with Core, Chronicles, Origins and Brick Shop, it will be bullshit if all four end up being incomplete, and I don't know that I trust Mattel to do that.
>>11750897So far>heman>teela>man at arms>mekaneck>skeletor>beast man>goatman Chronicles >heman>skeletor>teela>man at arms>lyn>fisto>ram man>trapjawOrigins>heman>spikor>beastman >trapjaw
>>11750909Forgot skeleknights for core
>>11750853I can't believe Skeletor captured MosesAnd on Easter of all days
>>11750909>>11750912You also forgot Tri-klops for Chronicles
>>11750928Damn
>>11750839>my 4 favorite glub shittos in a fucking mega bloks set in 2026surreal and of course they're micro statues
>>11750987>my 4 favorite glub shittos in a fucking mega bloks set in 2026>surreal and of course they're micro statuesI'd be twice as excited about MotU than I have been at any time after 2022 if they'd been the pre-existing Mega figures instead of micro statues.
>>11750923Underrated post
>>11750987Now just cross your fingers for a sequel starring Horde >my 4 favorite Horde glub shittos Wrap Trap, Dylamug, Octavia and Calix in a fucking mega bloks set in 2029
>>11751027That would rock
I forgot this was coming out for preorder now. it sold out in about 4 min while I was thinking about if I didn't find the unpainted parts egregious enough to get it. Guess the decision was made for me.
>>11751057Really, it was gone by 11:03:by my clock but regardless it went quick. I got an email about it by 11:20 lol, guess they only got a few cases worth. It's a shame, it looks good but I can't afford it right now either way.
>>11751082Fully translucent weapons seem a bit odd, but interesting. Extra head is a good addition, but i don't like the bare plastic of the belt and bracers. 150usd definitely felt like a bit too much, especially with still not knowing how this figure will feel in-hand.
>>11751116I think it should've come with the helm and shield from master verse but maybe they can fit on this guy? I think the pop of white really helps define the figure.
>>11750897Will you be satisfied if Brick Shop would be the one?>>11750182I'd suggest first Warrior. Colors are better, has more paint (included painted chest under amor, new one has only fists, no weapons and comes with Classics plastic cape that sits a bit awkwardly on smaller figure)
>>11751299Looking at the sets...I actually think the Brick sets ALREADY have the full roster.
>>11751325ThisIt looks like core will finish them out second and origins and chronicles will be dripped outThey have got to have plans to do everyone across each line.
>The figure is priced at $27.00 and will go up for preorder April 25, 2026 over at Mattel Creations. Hmm
>>11751299>>11751325>>11751337Castle Grayskull set>Prince Adam, Skeletor, Skel-Knights, Beast Man, He-Man, Teela, Royal Guards, Sorceress, Zoar, Hoverbots, Evil-lyn, Cringer Snake Mountain set >He-Man, Skeletor, Randor, Skel-Knights, Evil-lyn, Gygor, Karg, Spikor, Pig Boy, Goat Man Fright Fighter and Talon Fighter set>He-Man, Teela, Hoverbots, Roton Pilots, Fright Fighter Pilot, Tri-klops Collector set>Man-At-Arms, Skeletor, Skel-Knights, Hoverbots, Fisto, Mekaneck, Trap Jaw, Roboto, Ram ManThat's basically it right? No Marlena or Dian. I thought Moss Man was cast but he wasn't in trailer or any toys so idk if that's still a thing. And there's the Orko rumorAnyone else unaccounted for?
>>11750987>>11751023>>11751520>We finally got a new Gygor>it's as a mini in the dogshit MCX revival lineall I know is pain
I snagged a mighty minis Skeletor. He was the last of the case left. I hopeI can find He-man soon.
>>11751383>dlx origins>mc chronicles>same priceHmm
>>11751551I’m so glad these seem to be selling like hotcakes. I really hope we get playsets in this scale.
>>11751569Same here. While browsing the other toy aisles it also dawned on me how perfectly the mighty masters scale with the various Kid Connection playsets. Off eyeball alone I'm even tempted to argue they scale with the new Mario Galaxy toys. They're brimming with toy photography potential
I just got the 80th anniversary He-Man and Skeletor. I get that the waists are spring loaded, but are they supposed to be so loose? I can feel the waist turning just by casually moving the figure - especially He-Man.
>>11751576Don’t sell me on this bro
>>11751578Nta but they should scale with 2.5 inch Mario stuff and bluey toys as well
Bunda
>>11751690Wood eat as she shit rips spicey Latinx ass That’s amore
>>11751520Orange
>>11751578>>11751592Next time you visit your walmart just hold up a packaged Mighty Master besides all these lines. It's like they were designed with the intent to pair with this scale. MM is basically a MOTU-flavored Imaginext line!
>>11751549I'm sure this will not be the only new Gygor toy we get.
>toy meant for children to play with>extension pieces instead of action featureOk, Origins was one thing, because I think we all know only adult collectors were buying this shit and would mewl about muh articulationBut this seems more egregious.
