Target has a listing for Child's Play 2 Chucky, but nothing has gone live yet.https://www.target.com/p/neca-childs-play-2-action-figure-ultimate-chucky-7-34-scale/-/A-1010094626
Thia & Bud 2-pack is also up for order.
And the "PART 8 VIDEO GAME" Jason! Totally legally not Takes Manhattan. This Jason has never set foot in the state even.
>>11751911I mean, I picked up a few of the DC ones, since that's my really main franchise to collect, but they have stayed in their boxes and those boxes went into another box, where they got stuck in the closet.I also bought them on sale, with gift cards, on trips to Target when absolutely nothing else was around that I wanted or needed to buy in person. So it always surprises me when I go back to a Collector's Corner and some of these are what appears to be selling. Who?Why?
>>11751916What's the deal with the Child's Play license anyway? They couldn't keep calling the movie's Childs Play because one side owns that title, right? And Neca didn't license that for the first Chucky figures. Now they have. We gonna see more out of that?
I got Bob Gray. I need to get a scale flask to go with him, but I do like the look of the head sock wig. Not the most accurate figure to the scene, given how early they were working on these it seems.>>11751953>Who?>Why?Halloween nostalgia hits hard. Those are typically the most fun times in a kid's life growing up. Plus they're fun, colorful little toys.
>>11751992>Plus they're fun, colorful little toys. They are definitely colorful. But I never see people actually pick one up, talk about them, or put them in their cart. And I am sometimes by those collector's corner for a few minutes, when I am wondering around (and sometimes straightening out) the collector's corner section so I can take a damn photograph.I do see people come by - to search for Blokees blind boxes or other blind boxes, to search for anime and manga SHF, Bandai, etc., and most especially to pick up Funko Pops.Besides the TMNT collectors, I do often see people pick up things like the Beetlejuice, Wednesday, Coroline, etc., whether they buy or not, but no one ever has picked up a Ben Cooper - save once, a couple of girls picked up the joker, laughed over it, and literally hot potato-ed toss it into the plushie pile like it was going to infect them or bite them. And walked away laughing more. I would have said they were drunk but they looked like all of 14 so possibly just buzzed or very high energy.
>>11751999I don't see people hold many conversations about toys in their hands at stores. People kinda just grab and go, or have their cell phone or bluetooth going.
>>11752053I saw a kid with his mom get really excited over one of the movie Pennywise figures once. It was nice to see.
>>11751992Bob's seen some shit....I mean he was eaten by a monster so I guess that tracks.
>>11751999Personally, I just order them off the neca store and get them that way. They're getting better at it now, but series 2 was split up between Walmart and Target, and then Target only got smatterings of wave 3 (at first). So I just started doing the full waves off the store and just be happy when they show up at retail for others.
>>11752175Is the Shredder based on a real costume?
Battle damage Super Grover when?
>>11752053I see Father's with sons going through the die cast Hot Wheels and sometimes (less so) the Elite wrestlers and Star Wars (any why those get put in the same aisle is beyond me). For a while, I was hunting down a Cody Rhodes on clearance for a suited body and then another one for a pair of sunglasses, until I found both at Ross, but I would be in that aisle and say 30-60% people would have conversations.Couples totally and definitely talk about Pops over at the collectors corner or over at the LEGO aisle. I had to stand at one once for about 10 minutes waiting for a clerk to bring me back something from the aisle and another time waiting on a clerk to be done in helping someone else to help me and you see that all the time, at least I do, so maybe it's a west coast thing and where ever you call home, it's not done. I've definitely seen groups of guys (teenage to young adult) talk about Marvel Legends or TMNT figures amongst themselves, and when the Stranger Things display was around, argue about the demos.
