No clue, from Heresy era only Lion and Alpharius minis came with official helmets from GW, every other primarch helmet are either fan depictions or based on some random official art, like Vulkan's helmet from book cover

Raven Guard look fucking juicy, love these OG Heresy dudes. Here's hoping that Joytoy wagies wouldn't shit all over it like with White Scars and any other unfortunate dudes released during CNY.

Or the battle force organization. I miss my simple scout > devastators > tacticals > assault > termies. Seems like nuGW realized it too, judging by later editions.

Super cool display though. Also holy shit, the Redemptor is HUGE. Glad I went with the Venerable!
>>
>>11770391
I really appreciate that, Anon. I slightly miscalculated how big one of the Iron Circle Automata are, it's the size of a bloody Contemptor. Still, Dreadnoughts are my favorite units in the game, and I have a tabletop model of every Dreadnought in the game, save for Saturnine-Pattern, because I hate how they look.

In terms of the other bit you touched upon; you have someone to care for who depends on you. Do your best to raise them right despite everything, and hope that they end up a better person than your parents. Iron Within, brother.
>>

I'm still mad that I missed out on vanilla SoH/Fists Contemptors. I've had one on order for very cheap, but seller cancelled that order, which fucking sucks, as others who used the same deal got them.

Out the ones I own? I definitely prefer Tyrant Siege Master Terminator the most, with Command Squad Chosen following up next, only because of extra bling on shoulders and cool banner. Mk VI Sergeant is okayish, leaning more on blander side, but extra heads and bonus weapons are welcome. I'm ambivalent toward Vox/Sergeant Mk IIIs, they are definitely bland in terms of accessories and extra Legion details. Overall, IWs biggest downside is the squeaky clean paint without any hint of shading/wash/whatever.
Ventanus is amazing, probably one of my most favorite figs from HH line. His bare head is unfortunate though. I love that he got functional scabbard for his gladius.
If we to compare him to IW Chosen, he is more expensive (~20 more dollars), but he comes with banner stand, which could be useful, maybe. His shoulder pads use old style soft loops though, not the articulated ones like on newer marines. If you're just looking to bolster your respective squads, IW Chosen is not that much behind in terms of bringing that HQ banner oomph. He is a bit unstable when one handing it though, gotta keep it next to boot to give it extra stability, but same could be said about Ventanus too, but it helps that he comes with extra accessories that more or less solve this problem.

Btw, IW Chosen is out of stock in most places, but he is about to receive rerun from JT in May. Remus Ventanus, plus UM Praetor and Suzerain squad just got announcement for rerun as well, which is slated for July. So you shouldn't pay current overly inflated prices for them.
Also, there were reports that already reissued Iron Warrior Tactical Mk IIIs got slightly darker colors on everything, they are not 1:1 in terms of color match with first wave. Just a heads-up if that matters for you.
>>
>>11773700
thank you very much, I will get the Command Squad Chosen then. I can actually get him for less than asking price where I live so knowing he is sold out makes it extra sweet.
>Tyrant Siege Master Terminato
I've seen that you have the one with the prostetic arm, Is there a reason why you got him or why he is the only one still available?
Did you hear anything about IW breachers or siege breakers? Feels weird that the SoH get them but not the legion that is known for siege warfare.
>>
>>11773709
In terms of availability? No clue. I only got him because he had extra targeting doodad on his missile launcher pod and prosthetic arm, which is currently unique for termies. I kinda slightly regret going for him.
Regular Siege Tyrant termie has a more stark colour scheme, stripes on torso are more visible, he got also got IW skull on it and his legs/shoulders more interesting because of extra spiky studs, and he looks more balanced without prosthetic arm.
Targeting pod on Master also looks stupid because it's static, so it's kinda targeting the ground under him on certain poses.

>Did you hear anything about IW breachers or siege breakers? Feels weird that the SoH get them but not the legion that is known for siege warfare.
Absolutely nothing. Joytoy got simple approach to it, if miniature that GW sells is advertised in certain colour, JT most likely will release them in same colour. This is why Siege Breaker is SoH, because he is only shown as SoH in official box media.
As of missing breachers, it's likely because of several factors. There is usually a year+ delay between GW miniature reveal and Joytoy reinterpretation. So they just can't release them quite yet, as they were revealed in February 2026. But there is a good chance for them to be IW, because they are advertised as IW in box art and JT keeps bolstering IW line, we just got Warsmith and Praevian announcement.
Old Forgeworld Mk IIIs pretty much can be considered discontinued, because GW already released refresh for them, so there is a very low chance Joytoy ever goes back to them, so that's why they are missing as well. Every mini release goes through approval process by Games Workshop, and many are held up for reasons only James knows.
Also, SoH and Fists are kinda Black Legion/Ultramarines of Heresy, so it explains the lopsided nature of releases.

I picked out the brass trim and then basically doused him in Agrax Earthshade. Then went back and slightly re-brightened the yellow, then layered the brass.
>>11774194
Yessir, started as a Blood Angel Terminator, picked out the pauldrons, helmet, knee panel, power fist housing, aquila, and storm bolter. The shoulder pauldron decal is from Forgotten Chapters, and the knee decal is actually 2 waterslides on top of each other, from some official GW decal sheet.

Feels bad to have missed the best releases of the line.

I really love warhammer's universe and I know I'd enjoy the tabletop aspect too, but I just cannot bring myself to ever give these faggots any money, it's pretty annoying, should I just get a printer and go full diy or is that really looked down upon by people (not that I care, I just plan on playing with random nerds from the GS store close by)

What's the best way to light a display shelf? I connected two Billys back to back so each shelf is almost square so I have tons of room, and the have glass doors on each open side. Should I go with multiple strip lights under each shelf, or would it look better if the lights ran vertical in each corner?

v3.0 bodies should fit, v3.5 is somewhat stretching it, but should be okay-ish, outliers like Alpha Legion Exodus/Saboteur are too big, and v4.0 which are original SM2 trio/others are also too big.
This is my general understanding. Here are some pics from other dudes that will hopefully help.

Customs made from Heresy Suzerain parts and firstborn Ultramarine Vanguard Veterans/Honour Guard with their powerpacks removed. Sitting pretty comfy.

Pick yer poison. These are thunder hammer wielding dudes, don't think I missed any. Most of these are on far side from their release and tend to be a bit overpriced.
SoH Siege Breaker is the most recent release. Justaerin and Harrowmaster are still around for a decent price. Grey Knight Terminators are about to get rerun. Rest on various tiers of being scalped, so you either must shop for second hand or suck up the price.

SPACE HULK CORRIDORS
>>
>>11783647
Why is the SM2 one taller? Primaris?
>>
>>11783986
The Marines in Space Marine 2 were modelled with HUEG LIEK XBOX proportions, and if they sculpted them accurately but kept them the same height as the previous releases they would have been absolute pinheads. The pre-SM2 JoyToy Marines are more closely based on the actual miniatures, and are scaled/proportioned accordingly, with some artistic license (the actual models are a TINY bit more "heroic scaled" than the toys, but not by much).
That said they've apparently taken on board the criticism of the SM2 bodies being so absurdly huge and are reverting to the older miniature-based scale going forwards. Annoying the scale creep happened at all, but I appreciate the reception to feedback.

Grey Knights Termies are absolute legends, love the artistry that went into their original GW sculpts. Their proportions do look outdated, and Joytoy followed OG minis a bit too close, but they still make for a very striking display on their own.
>>
>>11783647

Does the SM2 body apply to the Army Builder figures like the Heavy Intercessors? Or is it only the named character figures?

No, SM2 v4.0 body was an outlier that seemingly was discontinued (?)
Now we have an in-between that is called v3.5 (Secret level dudes, new army builder intercessors variants etc), which seems like what JT will continue with forward, and it's more in-line with older 3.0 and Heresy dudes.

Remembered I had several McFarlane 40K figures in various states of disassembly. Decided to de-Primaris this Marine. Waiting for the new backpack and bolter magazine to print off. Lots of sanding and sculpting still to go, but managed to dremel off the majority of the Primaris details. Probably gonna leave the separate shin-guard definition just because removing it would be a pain and also I kinda like how it looks, though I might do some more surgery on the ankle area, dunno yet. Probably gonna leave the Imperialis on the chest but could be tempted to replace it?

Joytoy is like the best of two worlds for me. I'm not interested in plastic minis, I don't want to buy paints, tools, learn the techniques and shit, and I wouldn't want to half ass it even If I do, so I WILL go hard into it, which is not something I'm ready for.
I've never been interested in war gaming aspect anyway, only the setting, so getting the dudes I like, and they come pre-painted and there is even miniscule outlet for self-expression with posing and minor kitbashing? Fuck yeah brother.
