So yes, Daisy was humanoid right from the start - the theory is that she was the "backup" in case people reacted poorly to Liya, which (fortunately) was not the case; as she was already designed and teased at that point, they went ahead with her anyway. As for Doreen...no idea how far along they had planned for her. Neither she nor Margaret had finalized designs (their silhouettes were generic human shadow shapes with no features), so...maybe they just didn't want Daisy to stick out like a sore thumb by making her the only humanoid one in the group? Who knows.

Furry stuff has always been niche, and it's even rarer in Asia; while Kemono stuff has been around for ages, it was always for more cutesy stuff, while anything intended to be sexualized was done in "Monster Girl"/Kemonomimi (humans with animal accessories, like Daisy and Doreen here) style. Actual furry characters with human proportions (rather than the more chibi ones used in Kemono art) intended to be sexualized is a relatively new concept, hence why we're only now seeing stuff like LaDo's Mystic Land, Aoshima's Kemopla, Keyaki's Seductive Beast's Fruit, and so on. Given that people stuck to Kemonomimi for ages, it made sense that LaDo would have at least one in their original IP as a fallback plan in case people still weren't ready for full-on furry characters. Fortunately, it seems the time is right for it, and I for one am happy to see more variety and exoticness than just the generic anime girls that have been around for ages.

I finally got around to building my kitty today. Her inner ears and the pads on her hands were unpainted, so I had to do the best I could (though I should have used a tad more white to the mix), otherwise, I didn't do much else with her. I went with her Medium Kemo configuration (with small boobs), since real Khao Manee cats are shorthairs; that being said, the way her limbs and chest are assembled means you can swap out parts to make her extra fluffy even if you stick with the Medium Kemo face and hands (which I want to try doing on my wolf when I start her next). Kinda wish her tail had some joints in more than just its base, and that they'd given the moveable eyes to all four of her faceplates instead of only to the High Kemo ones (which was probably done as an incentive to get people to actually use those faces), plus she definitely needs a stand (not included) due to her digitigrade legs making it tricky to balance her, but otherwise I have no real complaints about her.

...And the woofer is done. They're actually pretty fast builds compared to most Girlpla I'm used to, since you're only building a body and some extra limbs. Since I went with Medium Kemo for the Khao Manee cat (and since the medium faceplates look too catlike for a wolf), I chose to go with the full-furry High Kemo build except for the arms (I'm not a fan of the giant hands used for the High Kemo version). I also gave her the big boobs to further contrast with my kitty (though I'll probably use the smaller ones on the Grey Wolf when she releases). Like with the other kit, the hands for both versions come unpainted, with only the feet having pad inserts; fortunately, her footpads are black, so it was much easier to match the paint for her hand ones; I also painted all of her claws brown, since those were uncolored.The face is actually a lot cuter in-hand than the stock photography made her look, and I'm really glad that I can take advantage of the moveable eyes here, given the limited number of faceplates. The High Kemo feet are a bit bigger than the Mediium ones, so she has an easier time standing freely than my Khao Manee.

>>11796855>You're right, I also thought her face looked derpy, but you did good with eye placement.Yeah, I think the biggest issue with the faces is how wide open the eyes are - by angling the head slightly instead of having her look directly at you, you can position the eyes so that the entire pupil isn't visible, creating the illusion of eyelids and making things look much more natural.As for clothes, they're supposed to be 1/12 Scale (though for both of them, their legs make them fairly tall if you make them stand up straight-up thr legs need to have the knees and ankles at least partially bent to bring them to normal size); these gals were made in collaboration with Azone International, so their 1/12 doll clothes lines should be most compatible, but I imagine things like Aileen's hoodie from Snail Shell may work, too. Just remember that pants of any kind are going to look a bit awkward no matter what you do - one, the second joint from the bottom is actually the ankle/heel on digitigrade feet (the foot itself is long and the animal walks on the balls of their feet), so any pants are always going to leave those bottom two joints exposed; two, the tails are placed right where they should be anatomically (right at the base of the spine), so anything they wear is going to hang a bit low in the back, giving them a permanent plumber's crack. Aoshima's Kemopla official site has some custom-made Azone clothes that (I think) are tailored to accommodate the tails, but I haven't seen those pop up in any of the other retailers that carry the kits, so they're likely exclusive to the site (and they don't ship outside of Japan), so you'll need a proxy to get those.
